In a group of Karachaevsky rams, a genome-wide associations analysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with live parameters of meat production was performed. We used for genotyping the Ovine Infinium HD BeadChip 600 K, which consists of points to detection of 606,000 polymorphisms. A total of 12 SNPs was found to be significantly associated with live meat quality parameters of the corpus and legs and ultrasonic traits. In this case, 11 candidate genes were described, the polymorphic variants of which can change in sheep body parameters. We found SNPs in the exons, introns, and other regions of some genes and transcripts: CLVS1, EVC2, KIF13B, ENSOART00000000511.1, KCNH5, NEDD4, LUZP2, MREG, KRT20, KRT23 and FZD6. The described genes involved in the metabolic pathways of cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis are connected with the regulation of the gastrointestinal, immune and nervous systems. In known productivity genes (MSTN, MEF2B, FABP4, etc.), loci were not found to be a significant presence of influence on the meat productivity of the Karachaevsky sheep phenotypes. Our study confirms the possible involvement of the identified candidate genes in the formation of the phenotypes of productivity traits in sheep and indicates the need for new research into candidate genes structure in point to detect their polymorphisms.

The author reviews the activity of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) in the area of bibliography and bibliographic studies since the second half of 20th century. IFLA bibliography-oriented divisions with the account to the recent structural changes are named. The changes are approved at 2021 World Library and Information Congress. The key projects in blbliography and cataloguing are discussed: Universal Bibliographic Control (UBC), UNISIST (United Nations International Scientific Information System); National Information Systems; International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD). The current technological projects, e. g. FRBR, FRAD, FRSAD, FRBRoo, PRESSoo, IFLA LRM, are to regulate and standardize requirements to bibliographic records to support multiaspect information retrieval. The author argues that IFLA has transformed its bibliographic activities from large-scale global projects intended to embrace various types of documents and to unify bibliographic records toward narrower technological projects oriented toward disclosing data on format and contents of documents and efficient utilization of bibliographic information. The author emphaszes that IFLA is now focusing on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals agenda and 2030 Culture Coalition.The author based her article on the paper delivered at the Third World Bibliographic Congress (Novosibirsk, 27–29 April, 2021).

This research is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of preserving the allusions of a Victorian novel when translated from English into Russian. The source of the material was E. Gaskell’s novel “North and South” and its translations into Russian by V. Grigorieva with E. Pervushina and S. Trofimov. The relevance of the topic and the relevance of the material involved are due to the relatively recent entry of the novel into Russian-speaking culture and the clearly insufficient degree of study of its translations into Russian. The study of the linguistic and stylistic features of the novel “North and South” and its translated versions allows us to draw conclusions about the specifics of the idiostyle and worldview of E. Gaskell, as well as about the participation of translators in the creative process. The aim of the work is to identify the specifics of the translation of allusions with an emphasis on preserving their associative-cognitive invariant. In the course of the research, we examined the concept of a literary text as an aesthetic and semantic unity, and defined its pragmatic function. The article raises the question of the dual role of the translator as the recipient and sender of the text at the same time, taking into account their linguistic personality. The definition of allusion as a cognitive concept is given, highlighting its main characteristics, after which a detailed analysis of the most complex and interesting cases of the use of allusions in the text and analysis of translation solutions is carried out. Cases of translation of allusions that have lost their relevance or are not part of the background knowledge of the recipient of the target language are considered. At the end of the article, a conclusion is drawn about the possibility of a creative approach in the translation of allusions, which allows the translator’s linguistic personality to be revealed most fully.

The novel of the British writer Elizabeth Gaskell "North and South" is often put on a par with the industrial novels of that era, the main theme of which, as a rule, was the opposition of the worldviews of the middle and working class. However, taking the historical context of the novel into account, namely the era of Queen Victoria's reign as a period of progress and rapid changes, we tend to consider "North and South" a novel about changes and mutual influence of phenomena opposite in nature, which enables us to understand the present novel as a novel of upbringing. These processes take place in the novel simultaneously at several levels (territorial, social and personal), at the same time transforming the socio-cultural space of the whole of England. The railway, a symbol of technological progress and industrialization, connects the agrarian south and the industrial north, thereby actualizing changes at the territorial level. Margaret Hale and John Thornton not only find a way to reconcile the two existing views within the middle class, but also find a way to mutual understanding with representatives of the working class. In the historical and social perspective, this can be seen as progress at the level of social and class conflict. Finally, the characters experience changes in their own characters and go through a reassessment of the value system. It is noteworthy that changes occur not only at each of the levels in particular, but at all three at the same time, with each of them serving as a catalyst for transformations in other areas. Thus, "North and South" becomes the embodiment of the progress of England in the middle of XIX century.

The aim of the work is to study the peculiarities of the formation of the microelement composition of sod-carbonate soils of the North-West Caucasus. Methods: Determination of the features of the formation of the microelement composition of sod-carbonate soils was carried out in the western part of the Labino-Malkinsky landscape district of forest-steppes and settled meadows. The Kuestov District occupies a band of ridges of the North-western Caucasus, composed of limestones, dolomites and sandstones of the Jurassic (K) and Cretaceous (k) periods. Chemical analysis of the soil was performed by conventional methods. The content of strongly bound compounds Pb, Cu, Zn, and Cd by acid decomposition using 5 M HNO3 was analyzed in the humus horizon of soils. The metal content was determined by the methods of inversion volt-amperometric and atomic absorption analyses. Results: In most cases, the microelement composition of sod-carbonate soils is characterized by the enrichment of Pb, Cu, Cd and depletion of Zn in comparison with the Clark soils. The constant anthropogenic input of pollutants into the soil as a depositing medium directly affects the trace element composition-the soils are intensively enriched with all the elements considered, especially strongly accumulated on CD and PB. In the radial distribution of trace elements between sod-carbonate soils and the soil-forming rock, a high intensity of accumulation of chemical elements in the humus horizon of soils was revealed. The intensity of the redistribution of trace elements in soils is largely determined by the position in the terrain. Within the Cretaceous cuesta, high Cd contents are typical for plakor soils, Cu and Zn-for the soils of the slope of the beam. On the slope of the Jurassic questi higher contents of Pb, Cd and Cu are typical for soils of placorestan cavage array Zn for soils of steep hillside with oak and beech forests. Conclusions: The microelement composition of sod-carbonate soils is a consequence of such soil-forming processes as humification, humus accumulation, leaching, glinting, and loess age, the specifics of which are largely determined by calcium carbonates. The microelement composition of sod-carbonate soils reflects the most significant features of the microelement composition of soil-forming rocks, which are characterized by low Zn content. The possible aerotechnogenic intake of trace elements affects the intensity of the radial accumulation of trace elements in the soil relative to the rocks. The degree of transformation of the microelement composition of anthropogenic disturbed soils depends on the intensity of anthropogenic impact on the soil. The conducted research is important in the aspect of revealing the regularities of the formation of the microelement composition of the soil as a depositing component of the landscape in modern conditions of anthropogenic pressure.

The study of mechanisms of formation and patterns of interaction of individual components of agrobiocenoses involves the processing of large arrays of heterogeneous geographically distributed data obtained at different times and in different soil and climatic conditions. In this regard, we have begun the development of an information-analytical system and related software that will allow us to accumulate, store and conduct a consolidated analysis of unrelated data regarding long-term monitoring of agrobiocenoses and surrounding ecosystems. The general scheme of the information-analytical system “Ecology of agrobiocenoses” and its interaction with the means of remote sensing of the Earth and the capabilities of GIS technologies has been formed. Based on free software, cloud computing systems, the elements of a web-oriented information system have been developed to create databases characterizing the leading abiotic, biotic, technological aspects of agrobiocenoses. A relational database model has been formed that allows the collection, storage and consolidation of entered information. Modules have been developed to collect the main characteristics of resource-saving technologies for crop cultivation, as well as the impact of winter wheat harvesting methods on combine harvester productivity and yield. The practical example shows that the analysis of a wide range of heterogeneous information in combination with GIS technologies which give a clear spatio-temporal localization of objects makes it possible to identify patterns of interaction between the components of agrobiocenoses, which at first glance are not related to each other. The data of technological field experiments and separately conducted observations of avifauna and mouse-like rodents were studied. It was established that the forage base of birds and the highest population density of rodents coincide geographically with cultivation using direct sowing technology, which caused a significant loss of winter wheat in the autumn-winter period in these areas.

The study examined the possibility of using remote sensing Data (RED, NIR, NDVI) for monitoring winter wheat crops in production conditions for nitrogen content in plants. This work is divided into two stages: 1) analysis of the correlation between NDVI indicators and nitrogen content on production crops of the North-Caucasian FNAC; 2) comparative analysis of the correlation between nitrogen content and remote sensing data in the conditions of the “Rodina” agricultural enterprise in the Shpakovsky district of the Stavropol territory. Selection of plant samples (sheaf material) was carried out according to the generally accepted method. Repeatability — 4-fold. The chemical composition of plant organs was determined using the method of V.T. Kurkaev and co-authors, and the chlorophyll content was determined by Y.I. Milaeva and N.P. Primak. We used the earth remote sensing data provided by the Terra satellite and obtained by the Modis scanning Spectroradiometer. At the first stage, the relationships between the nitrogen content in winter wheat plants and the values of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) were studied. At the early stages of growth and development of winter wheat plants, high correlation coefficients between these indicators were obtained. Thus, the correlation coefficient on average for the fields in 2012 was equal to -0.89, and in 2013 and 2014 — -0.82. In later phases of growth and development of winter wheat plants, this relationship was not observed. At the second stage, it was found that it is advisable to use the red reflection index to assess the nitrogen content at the local level (a separate agricultural enterprise) in the earing phase. In this case, there is a stable inverse correlation — the average for three years of research was -0.71. When other remote sensing indicators (NDVI and NIR) are used in the analysis, the links are either absent or less apparent.

This article describes the phenomenon of linguistic compression, considered by the authors as one of the key means of representing cognitive information and scientific knowledge as two interrelated phenomena of the general information-knowledge continuum as a space constituting as not only a result but also an initial position of new generated knowledge. Various approaches to understanding the phenomenon of language compression were considered. The article also considers the factors that determine the relevance of increasing the density of information in a scientific text, highlights the main conditions for the successful implementation of language compression methods in the framework of scientific discourse. Comprehensive research methods allowed to determine which methods of linguistic compression are the most effective, and also to establish their specificity from the position of use in the German popular science text. The authors underlines contextual verification of the utterance serves as the basis of cognitive information compression within the text type under consideration, that gives the receptor the opportunity of adequate intussusception of the semantic and functional completeness of compressed units of different language levels.
