Abstract Higher brain functions require flexible integration of information across widely distributed brain regions depending on the task context. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has provided substantial insight into large-scale intrinsic brain network organisation, yet the principles of rapid context-dependent reconfiguration of that intrinsic network organisation are much less understood. A major challenge for task connectome mapping is the absence of a gold standard for deriving whole-brain task-modulated functional connectivity matrices. Here, we perform biophysically realistic simulations to control the ground-truth task-modulated functional connectivity over a wide range of experimental settings. We reveal the best-performing methods for different types of task designs and their fundamental limitations. Importantly, we demonstrate that rapid (100 ms) modulations of oscillatory neuronal synchronisation can be recovered from sluggish haemodynamic fluctuations even at typically low fMRI temporal resolution (2 s). Finally, we provide practical recommendations on task design and statistical analysis to foster task connectome mapping.

Problem of formation Ukrainian students` civic consciousness is in the focus of research in philosophical and psychological and pedagogical sciences of Ukraine. United States of America is an example of the formation of civic consciousness in a democratic society. Education of citizenship of students on the basis of respect for the rights of every person, the recognition of the rule of law, conscious voluntary citizens to perform their duties and care for the common good is a key concept in US philosophy of higher education. This concept provides the priority of training students as responsible members of the democratic society to conscious activity for the benefit of the community. It is established that education Citizenship of student youth in the United States has a universal public nature. The state, higher education and social institutions are involved in this process environment (public organizations, mass media, institutions of the sphere culture, etc.). Students of higher educational institutions have been considered a resource for future social development in the United States of America that make a significant contribution to social transformation in society. Formation of students' civic consciousness upbrings certain personal qualities, skills and attitudes necessary for a citizen of a democratic society.

Abstract Ultra-fast single-photon detectors with high current density and operating temperature can benefit space and ground applications, including quantum optical communication systems, lightweight cryogenics for space crafts, and medical use. Here we demonstrate magnesium diboride (MgB2) thin-film superconducting microwires capable of single-photon detection at 1.55 μm optical wavelength. We used helium ions to alter the properties of MgB2, resulting in microwire-based detectors exhibiting single-photon sensitivity across a broad temperature range of up to 20 K, and detection efficiency saturation for 1 μm wide microwires at 3.7 K. Linearity of detection rate vs incident power was preserved up to at least 100 Mcps. Despite the large active area of up to 400 × 400 μm2, the reset time was found to be as low as ~ 1 ns. Our research provides possibilities for breaking the operating temperature limit and maximum single-pixel count rate, expanding the detector area, and raises inquiries about the fundamental mechanisms of single-photon detection in high-critical-temperature superconductors.

Assessment of cytogenetic homeostasis of indicator animals is of great importance in ecological monitoring. The simplest method of its study is micronucleus analysis. Animals with nuclear erythrocytes are often used as indicator animals. In addition to the micronuclei usually recorded, a wide range of cytological nuclear and cellular abnormalities (cytomic analysis) is encountered when assessing the spontaneous level and under the influence of anthropogenic factors. Spontaneous frequency of cytogenetic disorders in 36 species of fish, amphibians, reptiles and birds was studied. Ecological monitoring of territories of Kazakhstan with different types of pollution (radiation, petrochemical, pesticide, heavy metals, due to rocket and space activities) was carried out with the help of separate species of animals. The results of the study include comparative descriptions, schematics and microphotographs clearly demonstrating a wide range of cytological anomalies of nuclear erythrocytes of animals of different classes. The greatest spectrum of nuclear anomalies in the studied animals was registered at petrochemical and pesticide contamination of territories. Depending on the tasks and climatic-geographical conditions, all investigated species can be used as bioindicators. Testudo horsfieldii is an exception for desert regions due to high spontaneous micronuclei level in this species. A review of the names of the main nuclear anomalies is carried out and variants of its ordering are proposed.

Introduction. A considerable amount of conflicting reports creates conditions for concern about the effects of radiation on health. The adequacy of the assessment of problems and responses to these challenges depends on the sources used by a person, his culture and education level, as well as the emotional overtone of this assessment. The aim of the study is to determine dynamic changes in the prevalence and structure of population’s radiation anxiety states under stable social conditions based on a psychological and hygienic assessment. Materials and methods: In order to research and assess the perception of Kropyvnytskyi residents about the degree and prevalence of radiation anxiety states, a survey was conducted on Facebook and Instagram social networks from February to December 2019 using Google Form. For assessment of dynamic changes in radiation anxiety, data from our own studies in 2014 were used [9]. The questionnaire methodology was based on the principles of the previously tested and patented "Methodology for determining radiation anxiety among the population" and the monograph "Radiation anxiety among the population". Three hundred and twenty four residents of Kropyvnytskyi aged 18 to 73 were included in the study, 155 (47.8%) men and 169 (52.2%) women. The average age of the interviewees (Me (LQ; HQ)) was 27 (20; 33) years old. Results. A specific psycho-emotional state is developed and maintained at some level in the residents of cities with nuclear power plants – radiation anxiety, which is manifested by a complex of neuropsychological and somato-physiological disorders against the fear of ionizing radiation sources background. At the same time, such a psychogenic effect may not be related to the degree of actual effects of ionizing radiation on human health. It was determined that in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's full armed aggression against Ukraine, more than 90% of the surveyed residents of Kropyvnytskyi, regardless of gender and age, were concerned about potential radiation pollution of the environment and foodstuffs, medium level of radiation anxiety was in 34,9%, and high level in 14.8% . Low radiation anxiety was detected in 41.4% of respondents, and in 8.9% it was absent. Conclusions. Over 5 years (from 2014 to 2019), there were noticeable negative changes in the structure of the radiation anxiety states among the surveyed urban residents, namely: the amount of people without signs of radiation anxiety halved (8.9% vs. 16.0%) and respondents with the high level of this psycho-emotional state increased almost four times (14.8% versus 3.9%). The obtained results encourage the authors to future studies of specific radiation anxiety states among the population to clarify their dynamics.

Perovskite oxides (ABO3) due to their high thermal stability and the ability to control the physico-chemical properties are considered as an alternative to traditional catalysts containing noble and transition metals. Herein, the recent research breakthroughs of GdCoO3 catalysts in experimental studies are summarized in detail. First, the perovskite-type GdCoO3 complex oxides were obtained by co-precipitation method with the various precipitators and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), low temperature nitrogen adsorption and IR spectroscopy. Physical and chemical analysis showed that the choice of precipitant doesn’t significantly affect the phase composition of the perovskites. The catalytic performance of gadolinium cobaltites was discussed. It was found that the use of cobaltites obtained by co-precipitation leads to the inhibition of the side reaction of the reverse steam reforming of carbon monoxide. Finally, the investigation of the used catalysts demonstrated the formation of Gd2O2CO3 and metallic cobalt, which indicates the nature of active centres: gadolinium is the centre of CO adsorption, while hydrogen chemisorption occurs on cobalt-sites.

The need to find ways to improve the quality characteristics of milk as a basis for increasing the competitiveness of dairy products in the global market determines the relevance of the study. Ukraine’s dairy industry is one of the critical ones in the agricultural sector of the economy, as it provides the country’s population with vital foodstuffs. The purpose of this study was to substantiate the areas of solving organisational and economic problems of development of the dairy industry to meet the needs of the domestic market with quality dairy products and increase export potential. The study was conducted to identify the main reasons for the transformational changes that have taken place in dairy farming and to outline the promising areas for the development of this industry in the context of improving product quality. This study focused on European and national requirements for the quality of raw milk. The following methods of economic research were used in the analytical material: economic and statistical, comparative analysis, graphical, logical generalisation, systematic approach, systemic and structural analysis, calculation, and design. The study analysed the data of agricultural enterprises and households engaged in milk production in Ukraine for 2010-2022 and recalculated the purchase prices for raw milk in relation to the European quality indicators. The findings of this study showed that ensuring the competitiveness of dairy products depends on the quality of milk. It was found that it is higher in European countries, and therefore high standards for the quality of raw milk become a barrier to entry into European markets for most domestic dairy processing enterprises. Accordingly, the state’s strategy should focus on increasing the production of high-quality raw milk and growing export potential by forming specialised milk production cooperatives for dairy processing enterprises. The practical significance of the obtained results is that the author’s recommendations can be used by agricultural enterprises or private households in their everyday activities

IntroductionThe brain mechanisms of deceptive behavior are relatively well studied, and the key brain regions involved in its processing were established. At the same time, the brain mechanisms underlying the processes of preparation for deception are less known.MethodsWe studied BOLD-signal changes during the presentation of the opponent’s feedback to a previous deceptive or honest action during the computer game. The goal of the game was to mislead the opponent either by means of deception or by means of telling the truth.ResultsAs a result, it was shown that several brain regions that were previously demonstrated as involved in deception execution, such as the left anterior cingulate cortex and anterior insula, also underlie processes related to deception preparation.DiscussionThe results obtained also allowed us to suggest that brain regions responsible for performance monitoring, intention assessment, suppression of non-selected solutions, and reward processing could be involved in shaping future action selection and preparation for deception. By shedding light on the brain mechanisms underlying deception, our study contributes to a deeper understanding of this complex cognitive process. Furthermore, it emphasizes the significance of exploring brain mechanisms governing the choice between deception and truth at various stages of decision-making.

The purpose of the article was to record and track, based on a set of indicators, the opinion of experts regarding the practice of using the "sports region" effect to improve the development of the field of sports in the conditions of a separate region and Ukraine. Methods. The main method of collecting empirical material is an expert survey using a questionnaire. The methods of extrapolation, exploratory and normative forecasting were used to analyze the obtained statistical material. The results. Taking into account the existence of "sports regions" should be an important part of the strategy for the development of Olympic and non-Olympic sports in Ukraine, as this is confirmed by the support of experts. To achieve this, sports organizations and authorities should develop plans aimed at supporting the development of sports in individual regions. Scientific novelty. The study revealed the peculiarities of the development of the sphere of sports in the conditions of Ukraine. The practical significance. In view of supporting the development of sports that already have long-term and steady success, it is important to provide financial support, infrastructural base and promote the popularization of these sports in the areas where they are most developed. To achieve faster results in sportsmanship, the allocation of resources and support to athletes and teams from regions that already have a high level of achievement should be promoted. Institutions of higher education in the regions of Ukraine should include in the planning of scientific research the analysis of "sports regions" to improve the scientific base and development of sports.

A simple preparative approach to a series of functionalized dimethylphosphinoyl-containing cyclopropanes and cyclobutanes has been developed; it is based on cyclocondensation of dimethylphosphinoyl acetonitrile with 1,2- and 1,3-dibromoalkanes. Synthetic procedures for obtaining nitriles, amines and carboxylic acids containing in their structure small saturated cyclic rings of cyclopropane or cyclobutane and a dimethylphosphine oxide fragment, which are popular in drug design, have been developed.

The relevance of this study is determined by the need to develop the domestic semiconductors industry in Russia, taking into account the negative effects both internal and external.The purpose of this paper is to test the hypothesis of the positive impact of the methods used by the state of financial support of domestic companies to acquire advanced technologies in a specific area in the context of a lack of funding and the significant lag of the national semiconductor industry in the world’s leading countries.The target of this study is the analysis of possible tools of state support, including subsidies and grants, and methods of their application for the creation of competitive industry of domestic semiconductor production.The key methods used in this study include the collection and processing of statistical data, their comparative analysis, as well as the elaboration of the regulatory framework on tax regulation in this sector of the economy.The main methods applied in this study are data collection and processing, comparative analysis, and the development of a regulatory framework for tax regulation in this sector of the economy. The authors analyzed the semiconductors industry in the world, including the production of microprocessors and other semiconductor components. The situation in countries such as China, USA, Japan, Europe, Taiwan, India and Russia is discussed in more detail. The main problems with semiconductor industry development in Russia have been revealed. Additionally, researchers have evaluated and outlined fields of federal budget spendings in the industry in the period of years 2022 and 2025.The scientific novelty of this paper is to identify the relationship between the measures of state tax incentives provided to the radio-electronic industry and macroeconomic indicators. Based on that authors have developed evaluation criteria of the relevance and efficiency of fiscal preferences for the analyzed industry which is considered as the result of research.It concluded that the state’s initiatives to promote the radio-electronics industry might provide Russia a chance to catch up to the world’s leading countries in this industry.

Abstract Some recent theories about the origins and maintenance of regular physical activity focus on the rewards of the properties of practicing this activity. Animal and human studies have demonstrated that mesolimbic dopamine plays a crucial role in the involvement in voluntary physical activity. Here, we test this possible role in a sample of 66 right-handed healthy young adults by studying the influence of personality and the volume of reward-related brain areas on individual differences in voluntary physical activity, objectively measured by accelerometer and subjectively self-reported by questionnaire. Our results show that a smaller volume of the right anterior cingulate cortex and lower scores on reward sensitivity contributed to explaining low levels of daily physical activity. Moreover, the volume of the right anterior cingulate cortex correlates positively with self-reported total physical activity. Results are discussed by highlighting the need to use objective measures of daily physical activity, as well as the important role of the anterior cingulate cortex and personality in promoting effortful and invigorating actions to obtain rewards.
