Escherichia coli is a commensal and opportunistic bacterium widely distributed around the world in different niches including intestinal of humans and animals, and its extraordinary genome plasticity led to the emergence of pathogenic strains causing a wide range of diseases. E. coli is one of the monitored species in maternity hospitals, being the main etiological agent of urogenital infections, endometriosis, puerperal sepsis, and neonatal diseases. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of E. coli isolates obtained from the maternal birth canal of healthy puerperant women 3–4 days after labor. According to whole genome sequencing data, 31 sequence types and six phylogenetic groups characterized the collection containing 53 isolates. The majority of the isolates belonged to the B2 phylogroup. The data also includes phenotypic and genotypic antibiotic resistance profiles, virulence factors, and plasmid replicons. Phenotypic and genotypic antibiotic resistance testing did not demonstrate extensive drug resistance traits except for two multidrug-resistant E. coli isolates. The pathogenic factors revealed in silico were assessed with respect to CRISPR-element patterns. Multiparametric and correlation analyses were conducted to study the interrelation of different pathoadaptability factors, including antimicrobial resistance and virulence genomic determinants carried by the isolates under investigation. The data presented will serve as a valuable addition to further scientific investigations in the field of bacterial pathoadaptability, especially in studying the role of CRISPR/Cas systems in the E. coli genome plasticity and evolution.

This paper deals with the operating modes of a 3-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) electric machine. The design of such a machine allows the rotor axis to rotate along two angular coordinates in a limited range of angles. This is necessary for the machine to operate as part of a small-sized, high-speed precision target detection and tracking system. Based on the 3-DOF machine dynamics model, a block diagram of a servo system has been developed for controlling the rotor motion trajectory at two coordinates. The paper describes reactive flywheels based on brushless magnetoelectric motors for controlling the spatial orienta-tion of satellites, developed at the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The main attention is paid to the problem of implementing a rotor angular speed and position sensor, provided that it can be integrated into the motor design. The influence of the number of feedback signal pulses per one revolution of the motor shaft on the tuning of the reactive flywheel angular speed controller is studied under the condition that the ripple range at the controller output signal is limited at a given level. The dependences of the filter time constant and the con-troller gains on the value of the reactive flywheel angular speed and on the number of feedback signal pulses per revo-lution are obtained. Today, before our eyes, the former world order, characterized by the dominance of the Anglo-Saxon group led by the United States, is collapsing. A new world order is being born, the distinguishing feature of which is the emergence of new centers of economic and political influence, the growth of the sovereignty of many states. These processes have noticeably accelerated in connection with the coronovirus epidemic and the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. Deep socio-economic and political processes are taking place that affect the state of the civilizational matrix: social orientation in society, cyclicality and historicism of economic development, demography, etc. The consequences of these processes are expected to be even more complex: the emergence of new poles of political and economic influence, alliances and partnerships, logistical financial and transport schemes. The article attempts to systematize and rethink the above processes.

The structure of a brushless magnetoelectric torque motor with a slotless stator with a surface installation of permanent magnets on the rotor is considered. A motor model has been developed to calculate its characteristics in the COMSOL Multiphysics 6.0 software environment. The optimization of its structure was carried out, as a result of which the opti-mal number of pole pairs and such a ratio between the dimensions of the elements of the electromagnetic core of the motor were determined, at which the maximum electromagnetic torque per unit of power consumption is achieved. The paper also touches upon the problem of achieving the minimum value of the torque ripple factor in motors of a similar design. Ways of its solution are proposed both due to constructive changes in the magnetic system, and due to the syn-thesis of reference signals for the formation of such forms of currents in the stator phases, as a result of the interaction of which with the rotating magnetic field of the rotor, the motor torque characteristic the with a minimum value of the ripple factor can be obtained. The digital transformation of the world economy has become the reason for the accelerated development of innovative technologies that ensure the uninterrupted operation of business processes of large technology companies whose activities are focused on the creation of these same technologies, and commercial banks that act as the main consumers of innovations in the field of IT. This process is most actively observed in the sphere of economics and finance. Under its influence, truly tectonic shifts take place, leading to the formation of fundamentally new institutions. Today, one of these are economic and financial ecosystems. Over the past few years, Russian companies from these industries have embarked on the path of creating digital ecosystems to enable horizontal, vertical and conglomerate expansion of their activities in order to maximize financial results. The paper presents the results of studies of the structure of the powers that characterize the state of a specialized brush-less magnetoelectric motor of return-rotary motion. The calculated curves of the rotor angular speed, the motor torque and the torques of mechanical resistance, and the curves of the instantaneous values of powers of consumption, useful mechanical load, and losses are given. We consider global trends and domestic financial - economic development under the influence of revolutionary processes in geopolitics, science and technology. Central to the ongoing transformations are highlighted: the crisis of the liberal model and the development of alternative approaches; the formation of the digital economy and the emergence cryptocurrency; development of new industrialization, based on the formation of the sixth technological order; changes in production and energy consumption. The role of Russia in opposition to the unipolar world. Reasoned postulate that the most dynamic vector of new industrialization are the information and communication technology (IT), the emerging digital economy.

The article presents an analysis of the domestic stock market: its dynamics, structure, deformation. In particular, it is noted that the dynamics is observed mainly in secondary positions. It is mainly characterized by stagnation and even a fall in the equity market sector. There are serious imbalances that reflect monopoly processes (in service, in industry and regional cuts). The authors proposed a structural-logical model of the role and place of the stock market and exchange trading in models and mechanisms of financial and economic development, which allows to take into account all the features and interrelations in the development of strategies, development programs of industries, regions, corporations, and in the preparation of educational materials financial literacy).

PurposeFor more than 20 years, there has been an international, multidisciplinary effort to develop retinal prostheses to restore functional vision to patients blinded by retinal degeneration. We developed a novel subretinal prosthesis with 1512 optically addressed silicon nanowire photodiodes, which transduce incident light into an electrical stimulation of the remaining retinal circuitry. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of optically driving the subretinal prosthesis to produce visual cortex activation via electrical stimulation of the retina.MethodsWe measured electrically evoked potential responses (EEPs) in rabbit visual cortex in response to illumination of the subretinal nanowire prosthesis with pulsed 852-nm infrared (IR) light. We compared the EEP responses to visually evoked potential responses (VEPs) to pulsed 532-nm visible light (positive control) and pulsed 852-nm IR light (negative control).ResultsActivating the devices with IR light produced EEP responses with a significantly higher trough-to-peak amplitude (54.17 ± 33.4 μV) than IR light alone (24.07 ± 22.1 μV) or background cortical activity (23.22 ± 17.2 μV). EEP latencies were significantly faster than focal VEP latencies. Focal VEPs produced significantly higher amplitudes (94.88 ± 43.3 μV) than EEPs. We also demonstrated how an electrode placed on the cornea can be used as a noninvasive method to monitor the function of the implant.ConclusionsThese results show that subretinal electrical stimulation with nanowire electrodes can elicit EEPs in the visual cortex, providing evidence for the viability of a subretinal nanowire prosthetic approach for vision restoration.

Improving the quality of sorting wood waste is the main problem in the timber industry from the point of view of saving energy resources and preserving the environment, associated with the intensity of forest harvesting. Depending on the required quality characteristics, the sorting of wood chips makes it possible to determine their further use in production or utilization as a fuel. This paper presents the results of the development of a novel approach to sorting wood chips on a conveyor belt using machine learning and scanning technology. The proposed methodology includes functions to analyze the fractional size distribution among wood chips and rot detection. It shows that once a defective unit is detected, the quality control system will automatically remove it from the conveyor belt while it is moving. The minimization of wood waste will reduce logging intensity and increase the profitability of lumber enterprises.

The paper describes the structure and mathematical model of a specialized brushless magnetoelectric motor of return-rotary motion. The analysis of the parameters of the mathematical model is carried out and the methods of their ex-perimental determination are described. Experimental frequency dependences of the rotor oscillations angle amplitude and the stator current effective value have been obtained. Based on the obtained parameters, the frequency characteris-tics of the motor were calculated and compared with the experimental dependences. Experimental oscillograms and calculated curves of stator voltages and currents are presented. References 7, figures 8.

The activity of the North-Eastern Shared Research Facilities of the Shilo North-East Interdisciplinary Scientific Research Institute, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (NEISRI FEB RAS) is aimed at conducting analytical studies of rocks, minerals, ores, soils, lake and sea sediments, water bodies using various methods: optical microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, X-ray fluorescence analysis, quantitative emission spectral analysis, atomic absorption spectrometry, isotope geochronology, paleomagnetism and petromagnetism. The results of mineralogical, geochemical, petrophysical, isotope-geochronological (including radiocarbon) and palynological studies have been published in national and international scientific journals.

Recent demand and initiatives in brain research have driven significant interest toward developing chronically implantable neural interface systems with high spatiotemporal resolution and spatial coverage extending to the whole brain. Electroencephalography-based systems are noninvasive and cost efficient in monitoring neural activity across the brain, but suffer from fundamental limitations in spatiotemporal resolution. On the other hand, neural spike and local field potential (LFP) monitoring with penetrating electrodes offer higher resolution, but are highly invasive and inadequate for long-term use in humans due to unreliability in long-term data recording and risk for infection and inflammation. Alternatively, electrocorticography (ECoG) promises a minimally invasive, chronically implantable neural interface with resolution and spatial coverage capabilities that, with future technology scaling, may meet the needs of recently proposed brain initiatives. In this paper, we discuss the challenges and state-of-the-art technologies that are enabling next-generation fully implantable high-density ECoG interfaces, including details on electrodes, data acquisition frontends, stimulation drivers, and circuits and antennas for wireless communications and power delivery. Along with state-of-the-art implantable ECoG interface systems, we introduce a modular ECoG system concept based on a fully encapsulated neural interfacing acquisition chip (ENIAC). Multiple ENIACs can be placed across the cortical surface, enabling dense coverage over wide area with high spatiotemporal resolution. The circuit and system level details of ENIAC are presented, along with measurement results.

An adaptive buck-boost resonant regulating rectifier (B2 R3 ) with an integrated on-chip coil and low-loss H-Tree power/signal distribution is presented for efficient and robust wireless power transfer (WPT) over a wide range of input and load conditions. The B2 R3 integrated on a 9 mm2 chip powers integrated neural interfacing circuits as a load, with a TX-load power conversion efficiency of 2.64 % at 10 mm distance, resulting in a WPT system efficiency FoM of 102.

In this paper, the frequency characteristics of a special brushless magnetoelectric motor of return-rotary motion with sinusoidal and rectangular forms of the carrier signal are investigated. The method of generating a feedback signal on the amplitude of the rotor shaft oscillations angle has been improved by fixing the value of the signal at the moment of reaching its amplitude. The method of calculating the control system of the oscillations angle amplitude is investigated based on the frequency characteristics of the open-loop system by setting the phase stability margin. Examples of the calculation of transient processes of regulation of the oscillations angle amplitude and the effective value of the stator current when starting the motor and changing the mechanical load are given. This paper presents a CMOS fully-integrated resonant regulating rectifier (IR3) for inductive power telemetry in implantable devices. Employing PWM and PFM feedback, the IR3 achieves 1.87% of delta VDD/VDD ratio despite a tenfold change in load with a 1nF decoupling capacitor. At 1V regulation of a 100μW load from a 144MHz RF input, the measured voltage conversion efficiency is greater than 92% at under 5.2mVpp ripple and 54% power conversion efficiency. Implemented in 180nm SOI CMOS, the IR3 circuit occupies 0.078mm2 active area.

This paper presents a fully-integrated 16-channel wireless neural interfacing SoC that employs an adiabatic stimulator powered directly from a 190-MHz on-chip antenna to eliminate bulky external components while simultaneously avoiding rectifier and regulator losses. Using a charge replenishing architecture, the stimulator outputs up to 145-μA, while achieving a 63.1% charge replenishing ratio and a stimulation efficiency factor of 6.0. Analog front-ends (AFEs) and telemetry circuitry are also included.

The torque of a magnetoelectric torque motor with surface-mounted permanent magnets on the rotor was studied. The sinusoidal current supply mode is considered. The torque was calculated according to the static model of the magnetic field. It was determined that the sixth harmonic makes a significant contribution to the torque ripple. To reduce the sixth harmonic it is proposed to use a winding with a shortened pitch, for which it is necessary to make this winding in two layers. The optimal values of the number of pole pairs, the angular width of the magnets of the magnetic field excitation system, and the shortening of the winding pitch were determined.
