The relevance of the selected research topic arises from the numerous challenges encountered in the education of prospective mathematics teachers. The purpose of this research is to substantiate the advisability of using the case technology in the formation of information competence for the future teachers of mathematics in the process of their preparation. This study employs a methodological approach that combines literature analysis, synthesis of pedagogical experiences, statistical observation and a pedagogical experiment to assess the impact of case technology on the development of information competence among students in the context of professional education for future mathematics teachers. The main results of this study include the creation of case groups and their integration into the curriculum for students specializing in 'mathematics' and 'mathematics-informatics', as well as a comparative analysis of the components of information competence among future graduates and their proficiency levels. The study's findings hold significant relevance for educators at the Higher School of Natural Sciences at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, with the overarching objective of preparing competent, highly skilled and competitive mathematics teachers for the job market.

AbstractThis study investigated the impact of integrating design-technological activities on developing mathematical competencies among construction engineering students. A mixed methods approach compared curriculum delivery with and without digital tools across universities in Kazakhstan and Turkey. First, semi-structured interviews of faculty provided qualitative insights concerning technology adoption barriers. Next, an experimental group leveraging graphing calculators was tested against a control group using traditional techniques for solving straight line mathematics problems. Results showed the experimental group scored significantly higher at both Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University and MEF University, demonstrating enhanced conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities when utilizing educational technologies. Interviews also suggested current training programs at Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University more extensively cover instructional design with mathematical digital tools. Findings highlight measurable learning benefits from incorporating technologies like dynamic geometry software and graphing calculators to improve construction engineering education.

In the context of rapid technological changes and modernization of society, the issue of ensuring adequacy of content in secondary education based on the use of advanced information technologies (ICT) is being updated. The necessity of an appropriate level of primary intellectual activity development in a person in terms of the current trends in society has been determined. In this regard, the goal of the article is to argue advantages of using software products in geometry lessons in the secondary education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK). By the method of expert assessments, criteria for effectiveness of using ICT in geometry lessons have been developed to form applied geometric competencies in students. Functional advantages of certain software product types in the process of teaching geometry in secondary education have been substantiated. A set of practical tasks with the use of ICT for the academic discipline of geometry has been developed. Based on a pedagogical experiment, the effectiveness of using such ICTs in geometry lessons as Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD ensuring applied orientation of the academic discipline has been substantiated and proved. The main problems of introducing ICT in the educational process in the current context have been identified. A set of practical measures has been presented that would contribute to effective and extensive ICT absorption in the process of teaching geometry in secondary education. The presented scientific research findings will contribute to implementation of the advanced education concept and its computerization under the conditions of information society development.

Mathematical learning in many developing nations is below average due to which students face difficulties in solving the equations and problems of mathematics as a result of limited understanding of the main concepts and reliance upon intuition as well as memorization. This study is focused on analyzing the effectiveness of senior graders’ education based on the development of mathematical intuition and logic in the context of Kazakhstan’s educational system. The quantitative research method and primary data sources were used for this research with a 147 sample size, which was selected by using a random strategy of sampling. With the use of IBM SPSS STATISTICS for data analysis, it was concluded that mathematical intuition and logic have a positive influence on the effectiveness of a student’s education. Effective strategies, such as rote learning instructions, problem-based learning, RME approach, mathematical reasoning, etc., are essential for enhancing the capabilities of studies in learning mathematics. It is found that there is a significant and positive association between student effectiveness and the logical reasoning abilities of students. Additionally, a positive and moderate relationship is noticed between the critical thinking of students, problem-solving abilities of students, and student effectiveness. Nevertheless, the main limitation of this study is that with small sample size, the findings of the study cannot be generalized; therefore, a large sample size would increase the reliability of the results in the future research. However, in the context of Kazakhstan, this study potentially contributes to the existing literature by presenting conclusive findings in the context of mathematical logic and intuition and student effectiveness.

Mastitis is a significant factor that decreases milk production in cows of different breeds in Kazakhstan. The objective of this study was to determine the genetic makeup of Holstein cows by analysing specific gene loci (SELL, MX1, CXCR1+291C>T and CXCR1+1093C>T) that are linked to resistance against mastitis. The goal was to identify cows with favourable genotypes that are less prone to udder diseases. At the SELL gene locus c.567T>C, all three genetic variants were identified in the control population with the respective frequencies: TT (0.20), CT (0.44), and CC (0.36). Genetic variation was also detected at the MX1 gene c.567T>C, CXCR1 c.+291C>T and CXCR1+1093C>T loci. Deviation from the expected Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium was observed for two gene loci, MX1 g.143182088 and CXCR1+1093C>T, with increased chi‐square values of 10.6261 and 9.7137, respectively. The analysis of subclinical mastitis incidence indicates that cows carrying the heterozygous CT genotype at the L‐selectin gene locus exhibit greater resistance to the disease. Animals carrying the CCCCCT genotype at the MX1 c.567T>C, CXCR1 c.+291C>T and CXCR1+1093C>T gene loci were discovered to have a significant likelihood of developing subclinical mastitis. This suggests that these genes could serve as potential indicators of susceptibility to the condition. The article presents a classification of the wastes from the phosphorus industry in Zhambyl Region of Republic of Kazakhstan. The wastes are classified according to their application as construction materials. The comparative assessment results of physical, chemical and structural properties of phosphorus industry wastes are presented. Process characteristics as alkali-lime factor and reactivity factor are also taken account of. It is shown that all studied waste types have binding properties and can be utilized as construction materials. Methods of material composition modeling on the ground of the wastes are described. The diagram CaO – SiO2 – Al2O3 diagram is suggested to be used to determine the optimum composition of the basic oxides forming the binding materials. It is shown that the pre-requisite for generating binding materials is the presence of basic oxides (CaO, Al2O3, SiO2, Fe2O3) in the recyclables since those oxides stipulate the hydration and maturing of the construction materials.
