Introdução: A doença do enxerto contra o hospedeiro (DECH) é a complicação gravíssima mais comum e a maior causa de morbimortalidade sem recaída da doença de base após transplante de células tronco hematopoiéticas alogênico (alo-TCTH). A patobiologia da DECH aguda é descrita como ativação das células apresentadoras de antígeno associada com regimes de condicionamento, seguido de ativação das células T do doador que levam dano ao tecido do receptor ativando fatores inflamatórios e reações celulares. Relato de caso: Paciente feminina, 21 anos, estudante de odontologia, diagnosticada com linfoma de Hodgkin - subtipo esclerose nodular, EC IVB - em setembro de 2022. Paciente com doença refratária, foi submetida a pelo menos 3 linhas de tratamento antes do transplante alogênico aparentado haploidêntico. Como doador, foi selecionado o seu irmão, 14 anos. Foi condicionada conforme protocolo de intensidade reduzida FluBu6,4TBI400, compatibilidade O positivo para O positivo e fonte de sangue periférico. alo-TCTH em 18/01/24. Recebeu como profilaxia de DECH Ciclofosfamida pós (PT-Cy), Micofenolato de Mofetila (MMF) e Ciclosporina (CSA). Antes do alo-TCTH, realizada adequação bucal com extrações de sisos e profilaxia. No intra-transplante, realizada laserterapia preventiva de mucosite oral, apresentou mucosite oral grau 1. Paciente teve enxertia neutrofílica no D+18 e a plaquetária no D+31. Paciente evoluiu com rash cutâneo no D+22, sendo aventada a hipótese de DECH hiperagudo. Foi iniciada metilprednisolona 2 mg/kg/dia por 6 dias e, após, transicionada para dexametasona 20 mg/dia. No D+30, abriu DECHa de pele e olhos, e já com sinais de DECHa em boca como lesões liquenoides em mucosa jugal posterior bilateral, ducto da glândula sublingual edemaciada, dolorida e eritematosa e mucocele em palato duro. Em 2 dias, as lesões evoluíram para úlceras em assoalho bucal, lateral de língua, lábios e palato mole. Biopsiada mucosa labial inferior, incluindo glândula salivar menor na amostra, compatível com DECH agudo e pesquisa para Citomegalovírus por imunohistoquímica positiva em raras células endoteliais. Como medidas tópicas em cavidade oral, prescrito bochecho com dexametasona, seguido de nistatina e, após 10min, de aplicação de propionato de clobetasol gel oral. A paciente manteve a higiene oral ótima por todo o tratamento. Devido à refratariedade ao corticoide, realizado timoglobulina 50mg/dia por 6 dias. A ciclosporina foi mantida com ajuste de acordo com nível sérico. Paciente apresentou boa resposta do DECHa a terapia instituída no D+70 e continuou acompanhamento multiprofissional. Esse acompanhamento é imprescindível pois o paciente imunossuprimido pode apresentar muitas complexidades.

Abstract In this article, densities (and their derivatives) of subordinators and inverse subordinators are considered. Under minor restrictions, generally milder than the existing in the literature, employing a useful modification of the saddle point method, we obtain the large asymptotic behaviour of these densities (and their derivatives) for a specific region of space and time and quantify how the ratio between time and space affects the explicit speed of convergence. The asymptotics is governed by an exponential term depending on the Laplace exponent of the subordinator and the region represents the behaviour of the subordinator when it is atypically small (the inverse one is larger than usual). As a result, a route to the derivation of novel general or particular fine estimates for densities with explicit constants in the speed of convergence in the region of the lower envelope/the law of iterated logarithm is available. Furthermore, under mild conditions, we provide a power series representation for densities (and their derivatives) of subordinators and inverse subordinators. This representation is explicit and based on the derivatives of the convolution of the tails of the corresponding Lévy measure, whose smoothness is also investigated. In this context, the methods adopted are based on Laplace inversion and strongly rely on the theory of Bernstein functions extended to the cut complex plane. As a result, smoothness properties of densities (and their derivatives) and their behaviour near zero immediately follow.

A class of 18 students attending the last year of an Italian high school was divided into groups and performed the extraction of pigments contained in hibiscus tea. Each group worked at a different temperature and carried out multiple extractions using distilled water as a solvent. By means of UV-vis spectroscopy it was possible to determine the yield of each individual extraction and then to study the effect of temperature on the extraction itself. The method is easy to implement, it does not require the use of hazardous reagents or special safety precautions, and it is very cheap. The laboratory part was carried out in 3 h time, while the analysis and data processing took about 4 h. On an educational level, the students learned to process and analyze large amounts of data, and they became familiar with the UV-vis spectrophotometer and eventually had to solve the problems independently.

A morte é um tabu e se caracteriza como interdita entre as relações interpessoais e simultaneamente escancarada no meio midiático. O presente texto aborda o tema morte na interface psicossocial, discutindo possibilidades de uma educação para a morte na prática vivencial e sua realidade simbólica. Este texto trata-se de um ensaio teórico. Compreendeu-se a ambivalência que a morte é retratada e sentida por cada indivíduo, tendo como tecido construtor a sociedade, e discutiu-se estratégias de diálogo frente a prática da educação para a morte em diversos cenários. Concluiu-se que se faz necessário o falar de morte em todas as fases de desenvolvimento humano e nos diversos contextos em que individualidades se relacionam, com isso se busca mais uma faceta da autonomia do ser.

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar contribuições da oficina “Como aprender na universidade?”, oferecida a estudantes de diferentes cursos de graduação de uma Universidade Pública. A oficina buscou identificar desafios para aprender, estratégias autoprejudiciais e oportunizar a autorregulação da aprendizagem dos estudantes. Conforme os resultados, os desafios dos estudantes estão relacionados à gestão do tempo e à falta de organização para estudar, sendo que a estratégia autoprejudicial mais pontuada foi a procrastinação. A pesquisa mostrou que são possíveis mudanças e avanços no comportamento dos estudantes para aprender desde que esses queiram e tenham oportunidades para esse propósito.

Abstract Background There is a lack of clinical data on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in dogs. Hypothesis/Objectives To investigate signalment, clinical signs, diagnostic findings, and survival in dogs with HCM. Animals Sixty‐eight client‐owned dogs. Methods Retrospective multicenter study. Medical records were searched between 2003 and 2015. The diagnosis of left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy was made by echocardiographic examination. Este artigo pretende problematizar questões referentes ao filme “Ordem Divina” ou “Mulheres Divinas” dirigido por Petra Volpe. Abordaremos a partir de três caminhos as ressonâncias estéticas e políticas acerca do feminismo. O primeiro acerca do conceito de destino de mulher e as suas implicações políticas, tendo como interlocução conceitual o pensamento de Simone de Beauvoir e Virgínia Woolf; o segundo a relação entre a casa privada e a biblioteca, tendo a formação das mulheres uma importância fundamental. O terceiro abordamos as implicações das masculinidades e as ressonâncias apresentadas no filme.

Abstract Background Contrast‐enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) is used to evaluate vascularity of the gastrointestinal wall in neoplastic and inflammatory diseases. Objective To assess the feasibility of CEUS for the evaluation of duodenal perfusion in dogs with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Animals Forty‐two dogs with IBD and 20 clinically healthy dogs. Methods All CEUS studies of the duodenum were analyzed to obtain time‐intensity curves and perfusion parameters. The procedure was repeated in 12 IBD dogs 2 months after a standardized treatment. Results On CEUS, the duodenal wall showed a typical perfusion pattern characterized by a radial and simultaneous enhancement of the wall in all dogs. On qualitative assessment, no differences were observed in contrast medium distribution between healthy and affected dogs, or between dogs with IBD before and after treatment. Peak intensity (PI) and area under the curve (AUC) significantly differed between healthy (PI = 3.58 arbitrary units [au; 1.86‐4.93 au] and AUC = 47.63 au seconds [aus, 22.68‐62.15]) and affected dogs (PI = 5.10 au [0.63‐15.16 au] and AUC = 63.62 aus [5.31‐212.20 aus]; P = .03 and .03, respectively). No significant differences were found for the perfusion parameters before and after treatment. Conclusions and Clinical Importance We showed that CEUS allows discrimination between IBD affected dogs and healthy dogs by evaluation of time‐intensity curves, but did not provide useful information for monitoring therapeutic response. The qualitative assessment identified no significant differences between healthy and affected dogs, or between dogs before and after treatment.

O debate em torno das questões de gênero ainda é recente e está conquistando seu espaço, com maiores restrições no mundo rural em face de ser esta ainda uma sociedade com forte patriarcado. O presente estudo tem como objetivo o debate acerca da emancipação da mulher rural com fulcro nas questões de gênero, propondo seu empoderamento a partir de uma ressignificação de sua condição feminina e de sua percepção formada a partir de um olhar sobre si mesma. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, centrada no método hipótetico dedutivo, que debate o conceito de gênero, a situação da mulher rural e aponta caminhos para sua emancipação. Concluiu-se que, assim como acontece em solo urbano, ainda há muito a ser feito em prol da igualdade de gênero, sem perder a perspectiva de respeito às diferenças. Homens e mulheres, superadas as desigualdades que foram construídas simbolicamente, podem partilhar uma sociedade mais justa e igualitária, bastando, para tanto, que ambos estejam dispostos a mudar e abandonar paradigmas antigos.

This article aims to discuss the problem of the application of autocompositive means for the treatment of conflicts, in an extremely litigating society and based on the judicialization of their interpersonal conflicts. Given this situation, it is proposed the elaboration of a public policy capable of implementing the consensual solution of the conflicts already in the elementary school years, in order to stimulate the experience of the consensual solution of the controversies from the first human interactions, enabling future generations to adequately resolve their conflicts by their own means, contributing to the construction of a society less litigant and better able to handle its own conflicts appropriately, reducing the role of the Judiciary to the inherently judicial situations, making access to justice qualified and able to achieve a fair legal order in a timely manner it is efficient. Therefore, using the method of hypothetical-deductive approach and functionalist procedure, the article begins with the treatment of access to justice as a constitutional guarantee, in the face of the current crisis that affects the judicial system, following the advent and the analysis of the consensual methods for the handling of conflicts and the resistance that their practical application still entails, and finally concluding the need for the implementation of a public policy capable of stimulating individuals, already in the school environment, to develop a true culture of peace, always seeking a dialogical and consensual solution of their conflicts.
