A Vacuum Lattice (VL) model based on the lattice theory of elementary particles (Koshmieder, 2011) is used to generalise the Maxwell and Gravito-electromagnetic (GEM) field equations so they incorporate longitudinal electroscalar and gravity wave propagation. The model not only predicts the electroscalar energy flux observed by Monstein and Wesley (2002), it also provides simple mechanistic explanations of electron-positron annihilation, the Planck and Compton relationships, the vacuum permittivity and permeability, and the Cosmic Microwave Background. In addition a mechanistic explanation of 'space-time' distortions in general relativity is presented. The paper ends with a discussion of several options for future research. The field equations of gravito-electromagnetism are derived from first principles and shown to lead to the phenomenon of 'mass induction' which provides a bridge between quantum field theories of particle mass and the older cosmological ideas of Mach. Incorporating mass induction into the equivalence principle leads to the exponential metric derived by Puthoff (2002) and used by Yilmaz (1976) in his modification of general relativity. A theoretical model for flavour release from a liquid emulsion is proposed, based on penetration theory. It was used to determine the physico-chemical factors controlling the rate of flavor release from liquid emulsions. Results indicate that the rate limiting step for flavor release was resistance to mass transport over the emulsion-gas interface.

The article focuses on several aspects of selecting alternative jurors in Utah. It mentions need for courts to summon number of jurors that are to try the cause plus such an additional number as will allow for any alternates, for all peremptory challenges permitted, and for all challenges for cause that may be granted. It also mentions that designation of jurors as alternates at the beginning of criminal trials can cause frustration and reduce the alternates' interest in the trial proceedings.

An orally-administered vehicle for targeted, on-demand drug delivery to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is highly desirable due to the high incidence of diseases of that organ system and harsh mechanical and physical conditions any such drug delivery vehicle has to endure. To that end, we present an iron oxide nanoparticle/wax composite capsule coating that protects the capsule contents from the highly variable chemical conditions of the GI tract. It can be triggered using magnetic hyperthermia initiated from an external AC magnetic field. The coating is produced from pharmaceutically approved materials and is applied using a simple dip-coating process using a gelatin drug capsule as a template. We show that the coating is impervious to chemical conditions found within the GI tract, but is completely melted within two minutes of magnetically-induced heating under biologically-relevant conditions of temperature, pH, buffer and external field strength, allowing the delivery and dispersal of the capsule contents. The overall simplicity of action, durability and non-toxic and inexpensive nature of our drug delivery vehicle demonstrated herein are key for successful drug delivery systems for the kinds of focal therapy being sought for modern precision medicine.
