This study aims to determine how the use of virtual reality impacts physics students, their knowledge, and the quality of training. The study involved 116 students aged 17-19. The main purpose is to explore the effect that VR technology has on students' knowledge and motivation. As per usual, the students were divided into two research groups: experimental and control. Physics students (experimental group) used virtual reality in learning, while radiophysics students (control group) followed the standard educational program. The results obtained upon completion of the training have confirmed that VR technology can effectively improve learning quality and increase student motivation.

Isotopic studies are currently among the most prioritized methods for addressing critical challenges in petroleum geology, particularly in determining the nature and sources of organic matter. This paper briefly presents the results of utilizing isotopic markers in addressing issues related to: stratigraphic correlation, geochemical characterization of organic matter, and fluid dynamic reconstruction. The isotopic effects (δ18О, δ13С) observed in the study of Meso-Cenozoic sections in Crimea and the Western Pre-Caucasus have enabled the identification of global events, facilitating detailed stratigraphic correlation. Analysis of the isotopic-geochemical characteristics (δ13С) of fluids from sedimentary formations of varying ages allowed for the determination of formation conditions, the genesis of organic matter, and its geochemical classification for a group of fields at Kamennaya Vershina (Western Siberia). By integrating geochemical vertical zonality, evidence of hydrocarbon mixing from different origins, and the detection of localized thermal anomalies based on isotopic parameters, a comprehensive fluid dynamic model was developed, incorporating previously acquired geological and geophysical data.

Innovation is an indispensable element in any sphere of social life, offering new vision on the primary challenges in global and Russian development, particularly at the regional level. Numerous studies acknowledge the significant role of the regional innovation system as a crucial point of development of regional potential. Therefore, this study aimed to estimate the core role of universities in fostering innovative regional systems and establishing the link between universities and regional innovation. The correlation was identified by building a model, using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results showed that the regions with the most active universities-driven innovation include the Moscow region, the Arkhangelsk region, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Perm region, the Amur region, and the Magadan region.

The article is devoted to the problem of identifying the relationship between the subjective feeling of loneliness and the tendency to computer and gaming addiction in adolescence. Lonely people tend to be very unhappy, they have few social contacts, and their personal connections with other people are either limited or severed. In connection with the development of computer and gaming technologies, computer and gaming addiction is highly prevalent and tends to increase. Studying the relationship between the subjective feeling of loneliness and the tendency to computer gaming addiction in adolescence is a significant task in understanding the reasons for the formation of computer gaming addiction in adolescence and is associated with the possibility of timely correction of such deviations in the development and behavior of boys and girls. We assume that the subjective feeling of loneliness determines the development of computer and gaming addiction in adolescence. The article presents the results of a correlation analysis between the parameters of feelings of loneliness and computer game addiction: "severity of computer game addiction" and "general loneliness", "positive loneliness", "dependence of loneliness on communication". The results of the study allow us to conclude that an increase in indicators according to the criteria of "general loneliness" and "subjective feeling of loneliness" leads to an increase in the criterion of "severity of computer gaming addiction".

The relevance of the presented research lies on the fact that at the present stage the importance of sport as a factor in the development of human capital is increasing. As part of the implementation of programs and activities to create an effective sports infrastructure, it is advisable to assess the degree of influence of sports on the development of human resources; for this purpose, special tools and methods are used. The development of mass sports as a factor in improving the quality of human capital depends on the state of the existing infrastructure and the pace of commissioning of new sports facilities. Modern difficult socio-economic conditions place increased demands on the physiological state of citizens of the Russian Federation and the maintenance of physical activity, which cannot but affect changes in the requirements for the general state of the material base of mass sports and physical culture. That is why the choice of tools for assessing the degree of influence of sports infrastructure on human capital is relevant, since it allows us to formulate the prospects for the development of the entire complex of infrastructure as a whole.

Summary: Solvatochromic compounds have emerged as valuable environment-sensitive probes for biological research. Here we used thiol-reactive solvatochromic analogs of the green fluorescent protein (GFP) chromophore to track conformational changes in two proteins, recoverin and the A2A adenosine receptor (A2AAR). Two dyes showed Ca2+-induced fluorescence changes when attached to recoverin. Our best-performing dye, DyeC, exhibited agonist-induced changes in both intensity and shape of its fluorescence spectrum when attached to A2AAR; none of these effects were observed with other common environment-sensitive dyes. Molecular dynamics simulations showed that activation of the A2AAR led to a more confined and hydrophilic environment for DyeC. Additionally, an allosteric modulator of A2AAR induced distinct fluorescence changes in the DyeC spectrum, indicating a unique receptor conformation. Our study demonstrated that GFP-inspired dyes are effective for detecting structural changes in G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), offering advantages such as intensity-based and ratiometric tracking, redshifted fluorescence spectra, and sensitivity to allosteric modulation.

Understanding how forest ecosystems respond to environmental factors, particularly in the context of global climate change, is essential for devising effective mitigation strategies. This study focuses on quantifying the interaction between forest ecosystems and atmospheric gases. To achieve our objectives, we are using the eddy covariance (EC) flux method to measure air turbulence and gas concentrations above the forest canopy at the Station for Measuring Ecosystem-Atmosphere Relations (SMEAR) in southern Estonia. We apply a flux footprint (FFP) model to describe the spatial extent and position of the surface area contributing to the turbulent flux measurements. The FFP analysis provides valuable insights into the long-term changes in SMEAR Estonia, the FFP and its relationship with forest management and land use changes. Our findings reveal that the FFP area varies from year to year due to changes in wind speed and direction, affecting the contribution of different land cover elements to the overall FFP. The average changes in the FFP area at a height of 30 meters were approximately 4.9%, while those at a height of 70 meters were only 1.6%. Moreover, human activities, such as thinning and clear-cutting, influence the growing stock and increment of forest stands.

Authors used the paleogeographic approach to identify the different facies generation potential, mark out the areas with the highest organic matter and its types, analyse the reservoir quality for oil and gas potential assessment of the Pre-Caucasus basin Khadum formation. The greatest prospects in the Western and Central parts of the basin characterized by terrestrial and partly mixed organic matter types and are associated with the facies of the Sarpinsk-Armavir channel where discharge currents from the Volga-Don basin occurred. The same organic matter types can be related to clastic fans drawn from the north. In the Eastern part the main prospects are associated with unconventional black shale reservoirs with the predominantly aquatic organic matter, isolated on the top and base by the thick series of seal rock.

The active development of the Crimean region requires the provision of an independent energy system. Currently, there are 36 hydrocarbon fields in Crimea: 12 with natural gas, 9 with oil, 4 with oil and gas, 2 with oil and gascondensate and 9 gascondensate fields (according to www. mygeomap.ru portal by February 10, 2023). Despite the fact that the vast majority of fields are small and some of them werealready under the development it is necessary to consider their potential and production possibility at least for selling products on the domestic market within Crimea peninsula. In the second half of the last century, extensive exploration work was almost completely stopped because small deposits in the drilled structures have been found. Most of the traps of the Mezocenozoic section are complicated bythe faults. The possibility of discovering unexplored yet hydrocarbon resources especially in the lower stratigraphic complexes can be solved due to modern technologies distribution in the area. The contribution of deeper Permian-Triassic and Jurassic complexesto of modern hydrocarbon accumulations formation is poore evaluated and need to be analyzed in more details. Proper setting of geological exploration tasks and conducting modern regional and local seismic surveys will significantly increase the possibility of discovering new hydrocarbon deposits.

Both sedimentological factors and secondary processes of lithogenesis influenced the formation of porosity and permeability properties of the reservoir rocks of the Vikulov suite of the Krasnoleninskoe field. The former includes the conditions of sedimentation of the deposits of the Vikulov suite, which at the initial stages of its formation were controlled by the development of a system of incised river valleys, the stages of filling of which, like their composition, have their own characteristics. Also, various genetic types of deposits were formed here. The formation of the upper part of the Vikulov suite took place in a shallow-marine setting, in conditions of storm and wave shallow water, which affected the thin-layered structure of the VK1-3 reservoir. On the other hand, in the sections of a number of wells, dense interlayers are noted, the formation of which is associated with both sedimentation and superimposed processes in lithogenesis, including the formation of hydrocarbon deposits. Therefore, the prediction of the distribution of productive reservoir rocks is the main task when creating a petrophysical model of the field, and to solve this problem, the methods of lithofacies and staged core analysis are used in the work.

There is no consensus on the role of different source rocks (SRs) in the formation of the Krasnoleninskoe field. The main Upper Jurassic-Early Cretaceous SR of Western Siberia is represented on the Krasnoleninsky arch by the Tutleim formation (fm) (J3tt–K1v). It is overlain by argillaceous rocks of the Frolov fm (K1v–K1a), underlain by the Abalak (J2cl–J3km), Tyumen (J2a-b), Sherkalin (J1 ) formations and folded pre-Jurassic basement. All these formations potentially contain SR layers. The purpose of the article is to determine the sources of oil in the Krasnoleninskoe field by comparing oils with SRs and to determine of the history of oil composition formation. Based on a review of known geochemical parameters and the results of statistical analysis new molecular parameters for determining the type of organic matter (OM) and its maturity are proposed. A secondary processes of the oils of the Vikulov fm of the Kamennaya crest has been established, which is associated with the migration of hydrocarbons from the Vikulov fm to the overlying deposits. It is shown that the oils of the Vikulov fm of Kamennaya crest were formed from the SR, which was at the MC2 substage during the generation of hydrocarbons, and the oils of the Jurassic and pre-Jurassic deposits were formed on the end of MC2 -beginning of MC3 substages. It was determined that the oils of Kamennaya crest have aquatic initial OM, aquatic OM was found in the Tutleim and Tyumen SRs. According to the criteria of OM type and its maturity, the source of Kamennaya crest oils cannot be determined; therefore, genetic features of the difference between the aquatic OM of the Tyumen and Tutleim formations were found. These features made it possible to estimate the source of oils for different parts of the Krasnoleninskoe field: for Kamennaya crest the Tutleim fm, for the Talinskaya area the Tyumen fm, for the Em-Egovskaya area, the Tyumen and Tutleim formations. Estimation of the contribution of the Sherkalin and Abalak SRs to the formation of hydrocarbon accumulations is beyond the scope of current work.

Unconventional oil and gas resource development and exploration is the one of the most prospective concept in petroleum geology. High carbon Khadum facies are investigated as unconventional resources in the Precaucas basin and contain gas, gas condensate and oil accumulations. Oligocene and Lower Miocene structure, prospectivity and fields distribution are the one of the most relevant subjects nowadays.This study is focused on the main stages Late Eocene and Early Oligocene deposits formation and the paleogeography of the Khadum formation in the Precaucas oil and gas basin. The new prospective zones are developed in Khadum formation based on the complex analysis of seismic, paleogeography and lithofacies analysis.

A model of the activity of hydrothermal-metasomatic systems confined to certain structural elements is proposed in the present article. The model is based on the analysis of a large volume of traditional studies: measurements of porosity coefficients, permeability, pyrolytic measurements - together with specific measurements: isotopic composition of carbonate rocks, temperature of homogenization of gas-liquid inclusions, studies of the composition of rocks with a scanning electron microscope, a description of petrographic thin sections. The model allows to generalize the results of the impact of hydrothermal-metasomatic systems on the reservoir properties of the rocks of the BazhenovAbalak complex: constructive – leaching processes and increasing reservoir properties, and destructive – massive mineral formation that fills the pore space, up to the formation of secondary seals.

The article discusses the fundamental possibilities of using the results of geochemical and hydrogeochemical studies of organic matter, oils and waters in oil and gas geology, including for objects at the stage of development. It is shown that complex geochemical studies of oils and waters make it possible to get more correct conclusions about the presence or absence of fluid-dynamic connectivity of different horizons. Studies of organic matter and oils allow (by basin modeling instrument) to understand the contribution of different source rocks to formation of oils of different reservoirs. Hydrogeochemical studies of associated waters and waters used in the reservoir pressure maintenance system in a complex of works not only actively complements the knowledge about the presence or absence of fluid-dynamic connections between reservoirs and production objects, but also make it possible to predict, for example, salt deposition on equipment and in the reservoirs, and therefore allow you to prevent the possibility of unwanted salt deposition. The conclusions are based on the results of comprehensive geological and geochemical studies carried out by the authors for one of the deposits of the Krasnoleninsky arch of Western Siberia, which is at the development stage, as well as on the previous experience of the authors.

This article is devoted to the analysis of consumer preferences in the context of treatment of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) using homeopathic medicines. The study covers various aspects such as patients' main motivations for choosing homeopathy, their level of satisfaction with the results of treatment, and factors influencing the use of homeopathic remedies in complex therapy. The authors of the article review data from social surveys conducted on Google Forms portal, medical research, and literature reviews to provide a comprehensive overview of current trends in the use of homeopathic remedies in the treatment of acute respiratory infections. Special attention is paid to the influence of sociocultural and educational factors on patients' decision-making regarding treatment choices. The results of the study may be useful for health professionals, pharmacists and public health organizations, helping to better understand consumer preferences for homeopathy and to develop individualized approaches to the treatment of acute respiratory infections. The aim of the study is to analyse consumer preferences in the use of homeopathic medicines in the complex treatment of acute respiratory viral infections. Materials: Questionnaires and Surveys: Development of structured questionnaires to collect information from patients about their preferences, motivations and experiences of using homeopathic medicines for ARVI. The survey was conducted anonymously on Google Forms platform, which allowed systematisation of the data obtained. Internet resources: Analysis of discussions and reviews on medical forums and social networks related to homeopathy and treatment of acute respiratory infections. Methods: Statistical analysis: Processing data from questionnaires using statistical techniques such as frequency and correlation analyses. Qualified interviews: Conducting interviews with patients, doctors to gain a deeper understanding of motivations and experiences of using homeopathic medicines. Systematic literature review: Examining existing scientific articles and publications related to homeopathy and ARVI to obtain additional data and context. Comparative analysis: Comparison of questionnaire results with literature review and interviews to identify trends and influence of consumer preferences on the use of homeopathic medicines. Results. The study found that homeopathic medicines have the potential to be in demand in the comprehensive treatment of acute respiratory infections. Scope of the findings: the results of the study may be useful for health professionals, pharmacists and public health organisations, helping to better understand consumer preferences for homeopathy and to develop individualised approaches to the treatment of ARVI.

Historical education in the system of higher educations is designed to solve not only teaching, but also upbringing tasks. Therefore, it is called upon to quickly and effectively overcome challenges which the historical education faces with the help of a specific political situation and social need. The modern situation is particularly acute in this regard. The concept of teaching Russian history to individuals of non-historical specialties and fields, which are implemented in higher education organisations, adopted in 2023, also testifies to this. The renewal of the content of historical education in the country requires the introduction of innovations in the field of the methodology of teaching. The methodological basis of history teaching in Russia has a long tradition, formed within the framework of several directions. Modern researchers of the problem note the special importance of the technological approach, which has become widespread in educational institutions of the country. However, it is not enough for today. The methodology of teaching history should precisely reflect the changes in the content of the discipline. At the same time, the range of methodological techniques in the teacher's arsenal may not change significantly. It is even possible to appeal to the experience of pre-revolutionary and Soviet methodology. But the question of the content of the methodological base and its objective orientation is core.

Progress towards sustainable development is the priority for countries all over the globe. Understanding the essence of sustainable development is a basis for conducting research and practical actions. The aim of the article is to find out the global determinants of sustainable development in the context of digital transformation. The era of digital technologies creates new approaches to solving available issues and challenges. New normality requires defining global determinants of sustainable development and creating new tools for achieving its goals. The study has provided empirical evidence and proved that ICT is one of the important drivers of sustainable development. The conducted analysis shows that there is a direct impact of ICT development and digitisation on achieving SDG 9 "Industry, Innovations and Infrastructure”. The indirect impact of digitalisation on the SDGs is analysed. It is proved that the implementation of digital technologies in business processes and digitalisation of non-IT sectors of the economy will contribute to the comprehensive implementation of a number of SDGs, such as SDGs 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, and will give impetus to the achievement of other goals, which will generally have a synergistic effect. Benchmarking of practices used by well-developed countries enabled the identification of a number of priority areas related to the digitisation of the economy, namely, the development of digital skills among the population for entrepreneurial activities, state support for the digitalisation of business, especially SMEs, promotion of e-commerce, electronic payments. This study makes multiple contributions namely to academic debate on the influence of digitisation on sustainable development, demonstrates the interrelations between SDGs and highlights evidence on the global determinants of sustainable development. Conducted research outlines 4 groups of factors to enhance achieving SDGs in terms of digital transformation: 1) network coverage; 2) the number of Internet users; 3) affordability of access to the Internet; 4) digital literacy.

Abstract Background Three-dimensional (3D) cell culture is widely used in various fields of cell biology. In comparison to conventional two-dimensional (2D) cell culture, 3D cell culture facilitates a more accurate replication of the in vivo microenvironment, which is essential for obtaining more relevant results. The application of 3D cell culture techniques in regenerative medicine, particularly in mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based research, has been extensively studied. Many of these studies focus on the enhanced paracrine activity of MSCs cultured in 3D environments. However, few focus on the cellular processes that occur during 3D cultivation. Methods In this work, we studied the changes occurring within 3D-cultured MSCs (3D-MSCs). Specifically, we examined the expression of numerous senescent-associated markers, the actin cytoskeleton structure, the architecture of the Golgi apparatus and the localization of mTOR, one of the main positive regulators of replicative senescence. In addition, we assessed whether the selective elimination of senescent cells occurs upon 3D culturing by using cell sorting based on autofluorescence. Results Our findings indicate that 3D-MSCs were able to lose replicative senescence markers under 3D cell culture conditions. We observed changes in actin cytoskeleton structure, Golgi apparatus architecture and revealed that 3D cultivation leads to the nuclear localization of mTOR, resulting in a decrease in its active cytoplasmic form. Additionally, our findings provide evidence that 3D cell culture promotes the phenotypic reversion of senescent cell phenotype rather than their removal from the bulk population. Conclusion These novel insights into the biology of 3D-MSCs can be applied to research in regenerative medicine to overcome replicative senescence and MSC heterogeneity as they often pose significant concerns regarding safety and effectiveness for therapeutic purposes.

We describe a clinical observation of a 64-year old Caucasian patient with a longstanding ankylosing spondylitis, who was admitted to the clinic for diarrhea and joint syndrome. Physical and X-ray examination showed that his musculoskeletal system disorder was represented by ankylosing spondylitis, symmetrical erosive polyarthritis of the metacarpophalangeal joints, and wrist joint ankylosis. Laboratory work-up identified that the patient was HLA-B27 positive, had high rheumatoid factor and anti-citrulline antibodies levels. At colonoscopy, there were signs of ulcerative colitis. After the differential diagnosis procedures, we were able to conclude that the patient had a combination of rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and ulcerative colitis as three independent but associated disorders. The first description of these three autoimmune diseases in one patient can be of interest for clinicians.

ABSTRACT: Objectives: Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs have played a vital role in controlling the HIV-1 epidemic; however, some challenges remain. ARV drugs vary in their ability to control HIV infection, displaying differences in treatment-limiting factors and genetic barriers to resistance. The current report assesses the prevalence of HIV-1 drug resistance mutations (DRMs) among patients who failed first-line antiretroviral therapy (ART) and evaluates the genetic barrier of different regimens. Methods: The study cohort (n = 271) included HIV-infected individuals who visited the Novosibirsk, Russia, HIV/AIDS clinic in 2018–2022. All patients received first-line ART prior to virological failure. Sociodemographic and HIV-related data were collected from medical records and self-reported questionnaires. HIV-1 pol gene sequences were generated, and the presence of HIV-1 DRM was assessed. The genetic barrier to resistance was assessed by combining treatment regimen and adherence data. Results: Nonoptimal ART adherence was identified in 48.3% of patients and correlated with male sex, PWID, unemployment, and rural area residence. Most of the patients with high-level adherence were identified among those who were on TDF+3TC+DTG. HIV-1 DRMs were identified in 54.6% of the patients. The analysis of HIV-1 DRM, ART regimen, and adherence data classified TDF+3TC+DTG and TDF+3TC+LPV/r as treatment regimens with a high genetic barrier, whereas EFV-containing ART was classified as a regimen with a low genetic barrier. Conclusions: The current study delivers results on the efficacy of HIV-1 ART and treatment adherence in real-world practice settings. This report suggests that ART regimens with a high genetic barrier to resistance combined with improved treatment adherence may reduce the transmission of HIV-1 resistant variants.

Abstract Drainage for forestry has created ~ 1 million km of artificial waterways in Sweden, making it one of the largest human-induced environmental disturbances in the country. These extensive modifications of both peatland and mineral soil dominated landscapes still carry largely unknown, but potentially enormous environmental legacy effects. However, the consequences of contemporary ditch management strategies, such as hydrological restoration via ditch blocking or enhancing forest drainage to promote biomass production via ditch cleaning, on water resources and greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes are unclear. To close the gap between science and management, we have developed a unique field research platform to experimentally evaluate key environmental strategies for drained northern landscapes with the aim to avoid further environmental degeneration. The Trollberget Experimental Area (TEA) includes replicated and controlled treatments applied at the catchment scale based on a BACI approach (before-after and control-impact). The treatments represent the dominant ecosystem types impacted by ditching in Sweden and the boreal zone: (1) rewetting of a drained peatland, (2) ditch cleaning in productive upland forests and (3) leaving these ditches unmanaged. Here we describe the TEA platform, report initial results, suggest ways forward for how to best manage this historical large-scale alteration of the boreal landscape, as well as warn against applying these treatments broadly before more long-term results are reported.
