The heaviest currently known nuclei, which have up to 118 protons, have been produced in Ca48 induced reactions with actinide targets. Among them, the element tennessine (Ts), which has 117 protons, has been synthesized by fusing Ca48 with the radioactive target Bk249, which has a half-life of 327 d. The experiment was performed at the gas-filled recoil separator TASCA. Two long and two short α decay chains were observed. The long chains were attributed to the decay of Ts294. The possible origin of the short-decay chains is discussed in comparison with the known experimental data. They are found to fit with the decay chain patterns attributed to Ts293. The present experimental results confirm the previous findings at the Dubna Gas-Filled Recoil Separator on the decay chains originating from the nuclei assigned to Ts.

The problem of organizing passenger transportation in cities is becoming more and more important every day. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the spontaneous growth of motorization leads to a drop in the capacity of streets, environmental pollution, destruction of ecosystems, and an increase in social tension. It became obvious that the creation of cities convenient for life is impossible without a system of route passenger transport. And here, improvement of the quality of passenger transportation in cities by increasing the efficiency of using the information necessary to manage the transportation process is of particular relevance. There is a need to create a unified information space in the field of transportation, involving all participants in the process. This, in turn, will help to provide reliable information to users (passengers) of route passenger transport, increase its reliability and passengers' trust in it. An important role here is played by the information sup-port of the transportation management process with the choice of the correct model for collecting reliable information about the movement of route vehicles and its correct use, which will lead to an increase in the reliability of the route passenger transport, and the provision of open reliable information about the movement of route vehicles will contribute to increasing user confidence in route passenger transport and at the same time discipline carriers and operators.

Key route indicators of transport are identified, revealing the main characteristics of the organization of routes that affect the rationality of the organization and the effectiveness of their work. A model has been developed that considers the structural and operational characteristics of vehicles, which makes it possible to determine not only the parameters of the vehicle’s operation on the route, but also the parameters characterizing the driver’s employment. The nomenclature of indicators is given, which makes it possible to objectively compare the parameters of the route operation when servicing it with various types of transport, with the help of which the operation of route No. 139 in Minsk is investigated.

This article analyzes the problems associated with increasing the efficiency of route passenger transport systems, with an in-depth consideration of tram subsystems. The focus is on using recovered electrical energy to optimize the operation of trams. The recovered energy produced during vehicle braking or deceleration can be effectively stored in on-board storage devices and then used to power the tram's traction system. The article makes the case for the relevance of this proposal, emphasizing not only the potential benefits in efficiency and resource savings, but also its significance in terms of reducing emissions and environmental sustainability of the public transport system. Schemes for implementing this approach are presented, including technical aspects of implementation and possible algorithms for controlling the energy storage and distribution system. An important element of the analysis is to determine the expected economic effect from the implementation of the proposed system. The authors of the article present an assessment of the economic benefits that can be achieved by reducing energy costs for traction and reducing the costs of maintaining and operating the transport system. Potential investments and financial aspects of implementing a new system are also discussed, which makes this study interesting both for engineers and technical specialists, as well as for economists and managers in the field of transport infrastructure.

The paper considers options for reducing environmental losses in Polotsk and Novopolotsk through the development of trolleybus and tram systems – various types of urban electric transport. In order to reduce the costs of creating transport (including charging) infrastructure, as well as operating costs, the effectiveness of such systems has been determined when using not only classic types of transport, but also hybrid buses, electric buses, duo-buses. Approaches and methods have been developed to improve the quality of passenger service without deteriorating the environmental situation – this will become possible thanks to the development of tram and trolleybus traffic in Polotsk and Novopolotsk. Variants of scenarios for the use of various types of urban eclectic transport in the cities under study are presented, which will reduce investment in vehicles and the cost of creating an operational base at the expense of existing production facilities, for example, a tram fleet. The proposals outlined in the paper are aimed at improving the environmental situation in these cities by reducing the volume of emissions of harmful substances by buses, especially on the central streets

The bombardment was performed at an energy around the Bass barrier and with the TASCA magnetic fields set for collecting fusion-evaporation reaction products. Fifty-three isotopes located “north-east” of 208Pb were identified as recoiling products formed in non-fusion channels of the reaction. These recoils were implanted with energies in two distinct ranges; besides one with higher energy, a significant low-energy contribution was identified. The latter observation was not expected to occur according to kinematics of the known types of reactions, namely quasi-elastic, multi-nucleon transfer, deep-inelastic collisions or quasifission. The present observations are discussed within the framework of two-body kinematics passing through the formation of a composite system.

Investigating short-lived nuclei using rapid chemical separation and subsequent on-line detection methods provides an independent and alternative means to electromagnetic on-line separators. The predicted enhanced stability around 270Hs has major importance for the experimental investigation of superheavy elements by chemical means. Chemical separation of Hs in the form of HsO4 provides an excellent tool to study the formation reactions and nuclear structure of nuclei close to the deformed nuclear shells at Z=108 and N=162. Here we report on results of a recent Hs chemistry experiments performed at GSI Darmstadt. Element 108, hassium, was produced in the reaction 248Cm(26Mg,xn)274 xHs and chemically isolated. Observed decay chains were attributed to the decays of three different Hs isotopes - 269-271Hs. The observed decay properties provide strong indications for enhanced stability in this area of the heaviest known elements. New decay properties for these Hs isotopes and their daughters are discussed.
