We have investigated the effects of the global monopole on a spin-1/2 particle. In this sense, we analyze the relativistic quantum dynamics, where we determine the eigenfunctions in terms of Bessel functions. In order to determine bound state solutions, we impose two possible scenarios that characterize the confinement of the particle in the presence of the topological defect, from which we obtain the energy profile for both scenarios, in which we can perceive the influences of the background on the levels relativistic energy of fermionic particle.
