In this study, in order to analyze the background of companies leaving Daejeon, we investigated the sensitivity of local conditions that affect companies' business activities rather than locational advantages. Areas, where innovation value spreads, require explanatory power beyond cost, and innovative companies need a location with abundant knowledge, technology, and market accessibility. Therefore, companies learn through systematic interactions and policy proposals that increase embeddedness in a specific region, and regional identity and regional economic systems are incorporated into the company's strategic plans. However, in the case of IT companies, the concentration and dispersion of business activities are not limited by geographical boundaries. Companies can also create core-peripheral relationships between regions by forming business activities that cross regional boundaries. When a high-power jamming signal is received on a radar, the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) decreases, and the detection/tracking performance of the radar is degraded. One method to restore the SINR of a radar decreased by high-power jamming signals to a jamming signal-free level is adaptive beamforming technology that suppresses jamming signals using signal spatial information. This study proposed an adaptive beamforming weight estimation network for jamming suppression using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) based on unsupervised learning and compared and analyzed the performance with those of linearly constructed minimum variance (LCMV) and conventional sidelobe cancer (CSC), which are existing adaptive beamforming technologies for jamming suppression. The proposed network suppressed the jamming signal by 5.7 dB more than that by CSC but 1.9 dB less than that by LCMV, and the beamforming weight estimation time took approximately 29.41 ms less than that by LCMV but approximately 53.49 ms more than that by CSC. Corporate business clusters create a borderless business network through value chains and value creation activities. Clusters in the IT sector are crossing regional boundaries because of their rapid technological development and short product life cycle. To investigate this phenomenon, we examined the value activities of IT companies. As a result, the global expansion of the case companies was limited, but they had business clusters that exceeded the regional boundaries. However, because the order of business clusters is not advanced, value activities are focused on productivity rather than innovation. Given the rapidly evolving nature of IT, it is necessary to evolve into a business cluster that can create new value. This study was conducted to investigate the fermentation characteristics and anti-obesity effects of Cheonnyuncho (Oputia Humifusa) fruit fermented with Lactobacillus plantarum SRCM 100320 (FC). The pH gradually decreased from 4.77 to 3.63 at 72 hours during fermentation. Counts of lactic acid bacteria, total polyphenol and flavonoid contents and DPPH scavenging activity were the highest at 48 hours during fermentation. Evaluation of the composition of polyphenols and flavonoids of FC fermented at 48 hours by HPLC revealed hyperoside (quercetin 3-galactoside), luteolin and kaempferol were the major components. The hyperoside content of FC was decreased, while the luteolin and kaempferol contents of FC were increased compared to unfermented Cheonnyuncho (NFC). Evaluation of the anti-obesity effects of FC in 3T3L-1 cells revealed that the accumulation of triglyceride was inhibited by about 27.3% in cells treated with FC at 150 μg/mL compared to NFC. Background: This study aimed to investigate the goal attainment rates for hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), blood pressure (BP), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: The subjects were 762 over 65 years old patients with type 2 diabetes taking a hypoglycemic agent. Data were collected by reviewing medical records and included general characteristics, biochemical tests, prescribed pharmacologic agents, and complications. Results: The goal attainment rates (mean value) for HbA1c, BP, and LDL-C were 50.4% (7.3% ± 1.2%), 78.9% (126.0 ± 15.1/72.1 ± 10.0 mm Hg), and 60.6% (88.6 ± 29.9 mg/dL). Diabetes-related complications for retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, and cardio-cerebral vascular disease were 36.3%, 37.2%, 23.6%, and 31.9%, respectively. Life habit-related variables positively associated with goal attainment were not drinking alcohol and exercise for HbA1c, not smoking for BP and not drinking alcohol for LDL-C. Metabolic adjustment indicator-related significant variables for complications were HbA1c in retinopathy, BP in nephropathy, and LDL-C in cardio-cerebral disease. Conclusion: We found that goal attainment rates for parameters of metabolic adjustment were not high in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Thus, diabetes educators should be concerned about metabolic adjustment indicators. Objectives: To find evidence that sleep is necessary for normal brain function, thus indicating that declines in both sleep quality and quantity are related to worse performance of many daily tasks and deteriorated physical functions. The present study investigates the relationships of balance control and reaction time with sleep quality. Methods: 58 healthy (male 20, female 38) volunteers with informed consent participated in this study. The Self-reported Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality and relevant factors, and the subjects were divided into groups A (PSQI ＜ 5) and B (PSQI ≥ 5) based on this index. Static balance control and reaction time to visual stimuli were conducted to assess their relationship with sleep quality. Results: Group B exhibited excessive daytime sleepiness significantly more often compared to group A. Static balance control did not markedly change relative to sleep quality, but reaction time and error to visual stimuli were significantly increased in group B compared to group A. Conclusion: These findings indicate that a decline in sleep quality can result in delayed reactions, as well as decreased accuracy of these reactions. They also suggest that low sleep quality may be associated with changes in physical functions, including balance control through reduced selective attention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study was to evaluate opportunities for the commercialization of smart insole. smart technology is evolving to Insole. Pressure-sensitive sensor or an acceleration sensor is applied to create a balance of the feet and body, is also evolving for entertainment (sports, entertainment, etc.) and health care. Moreover, smart insole can fix an incorrect walking habit by sending a weight value measured by the sensor on a smartphone and during the movement, smart insole helps to correct body balance by measuring the center of gravity moving condition. However, smart tendency of the insole has yet to create a clear boundary in the entertainment and healthcare markets. This is because the fitness band, smart socks, smart shoes can also replace the benefits of a smart insole. Interestingly, the business opportunities are appearing more frequently in health care solution service of electrocardiogram, body temperature, blood pressure, etc., rather than smart devices. With the development of nanotechnology, the amount of nanomaterials increases and the problems of environment and the toxic property associated with it have become a social problem. But regulations and laws of nanomaterials have not yet been established. The purpose of this study is to utilize as the database of safety guidelines for research activities' workers associated with nanomaterials to conduct a behavior evaluation of aluminium oxide, which is most widely used in thirteen kinds of WPMN manufactured nanomaterials in the country. The experiment proceeds in the chamber reduced to 1/6 size of the actual laboratory, the test method was performed in NIOSH 0500. As the results of the study, the mass concentration was in inverse proportion to the particle size of the nanomaterials. And the mass concentration during the operation of ventilation equipment was reduced to about 1/8 times. In the future, it can be utilized as the database of safety guidelines for research activities' workers associated with nanomaterials. However, in order to increase the reliability of the study, the experiment of the mass concentration by particle size and Condensation Particle Counters will be needed additionally. The ongoing epidemics of obesity and diabetes have led to higher incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus and pregestational diabetes. GDM is diabetes diagnosed in the second or third trimester of pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes. Therefore, women in whom diabetes is detected in the first trimester would be classified as having type 2 diabetes. Women with GDM should be screened for persistent diabetes or prediabetes at 6~12 weeks postpartum. All women of childbearing age with diabetes should be counseled about the importance of strict glycemic control prior to conception. During pregnancy, treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers is contraindicated because their ability to cause fetal damage. Purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of music therapy on vital signs, anxiety, cortisol, and pain of Cataract Surgery Patients in elderly. Non equivalent control group pre-post test design was adopted. The number of subjects consists of 41 elderly having cataract surgery, 21 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. Data were analyzed by x2 test, Fisher's exact test, independent sample t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Results were: 1) there was no difference between two groups in their vital signs changes 2) anxiety, cortisol in the saliva, and pain of the experimental group decreased more significantly than those of the control group. This study confirmed the ability of music therapy to relieve pain and anxiety in cataract surgery, and suggested that music therapy could be used effectively in various interventions for the elderly. Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effect of video programs of cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation (CPCR) education of cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation of nurses. Methods: The subjects of the study were 64 nurses working in a university hospital. Nurse’s CPCR performance have been measured four times (pre-test, post-test at immediately, 3 months and 6 months after intervention). Data were collected from February to August 2013. Results: There were significant differences in knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, and performance between groups by measure time. And there were significant interactions in knowledge, self-efficacy, and performance between groups, within groups, except for the attitude. The video programs of CPCR interventions appear to be effective in the improvement of knowledge, self-efficacy, and performance, as compared to the control group. Conclusion: The video programs of CPCR education was an effective intervention to improve and retain the level of knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy and performance. And the video program of CPCR education have an advantage of self-learning effect for nurses with shift work. Purpose: The aim was to measure the real-time trans-mission effect of blood-pressure and blood-glucose value based on u-healthcare for saving the time and effort of nursing recording time. Methods: This study used a u-healthcare system based on the international standards for the exchange of health information. In order to verify the effectiveness of the u-healthcare, a clinical trial for the system regarding blood-pressure and blood-glucose targeting of patients with endocrine disorders at KNUH from February 7 to 9, 2012 was performed. Results: According to the analyzed results, of the 86 times the 11 patients were tested, measuring blood-pressure and blood-glucose using the u-healthcare system, we found the time differences between the real-time transfer recording method and existing hospital records that were used in the hospital. Based on the average time interval, there was a difference of 1,090.45 seconds (18.17 minutes). Conclusion: Therefore, it's cumbersome that nurses in the hospital have to record the numerical values of the measured blood-pressure and blood-glucose manually and input the recorded values directly into the electronic nursing record system. However, it was found in terms of the newly designed system, that it could save time and effort for nurses, since measured information is sent to the hospital information system on a real-time basis.
