Purpose: Higher education in Korea is becoming a fatal crisis for new students at each university due to the recent decrease in the school age population. In particular, local universities are facing a crisis due to insufficient recruitment of new students and a decrease in the enrollment rate. This is a serious problem in universities as the dropout rate increases as students take half of their classes after admission or transfer to the metropolitan area two years later. Methods: This study aims to suggest improvement plans and directions necessary to improve the quality of aviation major education and to enhance the competitiveness of universities for survival. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between educational service quality factors affecting academic continuation intention of university students. Results: As a result of the study, it was confirmed that among the sub-factors of educational service quality, the global support factor, environmental factor, reputation factor, and employment support factor had a significant effect on the intention to continue studying. Conclusion: These results suggest that the quality of education service is an important factor in increasing the intention to continue studying, because if students majoring in aviation have a good perception of the quality of education service in their major, they overcome it even if their studies are difficult and do not give up halfway. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the status of closed-circuit television (CCTV) installation and operation in long-term care facilities and to compare the differences in stakeholders' perceptions of CCTV mandatory installation. Methods: The participants included 743 heads of facilities, 802 care workers, and 864 family caregivers. The questionnaire included CCTV installation and operation status and perceptions on CCTV installation in long-term care facilities. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics and chi-squared tests were performed through SAS Enterprise Guide 7.1. Results: For the mandatory installation of CCTV in long-term care facilities, 96.5% of family caregivers, 83.2% of care workers, and 65.0% of heads of facilities agreed (x²=273.71, p<.001). There was no difference in opinion among the stakeholders that a living room and program room should have CCTV installed. All stakeholders agreed that the items to punish CCTV information leakage should be included in the guidelines for installation and operation of CCTV in long-term care facilities. In addition, more than 90% agreed on the preparation of confidentiality obligation for viewing CCTV in all groups. However, there were differences in opinions among stakeholders on composing the guidelines in accordance with the Child Care Act and restricting CCTV installation to the outside of bedrooms. Conclusion: This study confirms that there was a difference in stakeholders’ perceptions of mandatory CCTV installation in long-term care facilities. To increase the effectiveness of mandatory CCTV installation in long-term care facilities, it is necessary to strengthen education on human rights and safety for older adults and improve care workers’ working environment. Purpose: This study examined the impact of a virtual reality intervention program based on psychological needs on behavioral and psychological symptoms, apathy, and quality of life (QOL) in patients with dementia or mild cognitive impairment living in nursing facilities. Methods: This study is nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design of quasi-experimental study. The study collected data from November 18, 2020 to July 24, 2021 from patients with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group) at three nursing facilities in G city using self-reporting and caregiver-informant reporting methods. The analysis employed the chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, paired t-test, independent t-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test, Mann-Whitney U, repeated measures ANOVA, GEE, using SPSS/WIN 27.0. Results: The severity of behavioral and psychological symptoms (Wald χ² = 2.68, p = .102) and the care burden of caregivers (Wald χ² = 1.72, p = .190) were not significant and was no significant time and group interaction effect (Wald χ² = 0.63, p = .426, Wald χ² = 0.52, p =. 471). The difference in apathy and QOL score were statistically significant for the group-time interaction (F = 43.65, p < .001; F = 4.35, p = .041). Conclusion: The virtual reality intervention program of this study shows a positive effect on the apathy reduction and QOL of patients with dementia or mild cognitive impairment residing in nursing facilities. Form design for information registration should consider and classify various possible cases and each user case and reflect it in the design. In this paper, I analyzed the visual and emotional factors of information design that elicit positive emotions from the user experience point of view, focusing on the birth certificate of among other public documents issued by the government. In order to derive problems and supplements from the user's overall writing experience point of view, Keller's Motivational Behavior Construction Model was used. The process of writing the birth registration form creates recognition, reasoning, relationship, establishment, achievement, expectation. In order to more actively draw an emotional point of view, it is essential to set of information and to materialize the information experience. Three neonatal pigs from the same litter in a domestic farm were born with skin lesions. Grossly, multiple wellcircumscribed, round papules distributed over the skin of the three piglets. Two piglets were submitted for a diagnosis of skin disease. Microscopically, epidermal hyperplasia with ballooning degeneration of stratum spinosum keratinocytes was observed. Some keratinocytes contained eosinophilic intracytoplasmic inclusions and a central nuclear vacuole and chromatin margination. Swinepox (SWP) virus was detected by polymerase chain reaction and nucleotide sequencing, and Staphylococcus hyicus was isolated in skin lesions. Purpose:The aim of the present study was to evaluate the incidence of the second mesiobuccal (MB2) canal, root fusion, and C-shaped root canal configuration in the Korean maxillary first (MM1) and second (MM2) molars by analyzing cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) images. Materials and methods: Patients undergoing presurgical CBCT examination were included in the current study. The CBCT images of 1498 MM1 and 1742 MM2 from 1658 Korean patients were assessed to determine the incidence of a MB2 canal, the types of canal configurations, root fusion, and C-shaped root canal configurations. Further, the correlations between the incidence of MB2 canal and age, gender, and tooth position were analyzed. Results: The study population was relatively old (mean age: 66.1 years). The percentage of MB2 canals in MB roots was 60.1% and 28.0% in MM1 and MM2, respectively, with the most common configurations being Weine type III in MM1 and Weine type II in MM2. Additionally, the frequency of a MB2 canal decreased with age in both molars and was higher in men than in women in the MM1 only. Furthermore, root fusion was present in 2.3% and 26.2% of the MM1 and MM2, respectively, whereas C-shaped root canals were observed in 0.4% and 2.7% of the MM1 and MM2, respectively. This convergence study examines the case of the Andaz Hotel branches, which sees the critical elements of a characteristic boutique hotel as an experience and makes a successful case with rich experience content in the hotel. By examining sixteen experience content categories, eight from the Andaz India Delhi branch and Tokyo branch in Japan and analyzing them through Schmitt's five experience modules, we have found that both branches had strong experience content in most of the modules, in line with the brand philosophy of creating hotels that make the most of the local characteristics. The study also showed that the Toranomon Hills branch had stronger emotional experience contents than the Delhi branch, and the Delhi branch had a little stronger in the case of cognitive experience contents. The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing the intent to revisit among health screening center customers. The subjects were 195 customers of a health screening center. The intent to revisit was positively correlated with customer satisfaction and word-mouth communication. Multiple regressions showed that customer satisfaction and perceived health status explained 29% of the variance of the intent to revisit. In order to increase the intent to revisit, hospital and nursing managers should strive to improve customer satisfaction. In particular, strategies to arrange explanation of the result consultations, individual health management tailored to customers’ needs, and customers-relationship management for continuing relations with the customer should be needed. In addition, it will be needed to expand the roles of nurses who are working in the health screening center from simple heath check or customer reception to active health education and continuous health screening plan after initial one. The objective of study was to identify perceived medication administration Competence of senior nursing students. A total of 128 students were recruited. The instruments for this study were self-efficacy for drug dosage calculation, anxiety for drug dosage calculation and perceived medication administration competence. The data were collected from November 2018 to January 2019, analyzed by descriptive analysis, chi-square, t-test, Scheffe test, correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using the SPSS 25.0 program. The main predictors of perceived medication administration competence were identified as confidence in drug dosage calculation (β=.463, p<.001), Attitude of participation at clinical practice (β=.168, p=.040). These two factors explained about 29% of variance in perceived medication administration competence (F=26.93, p<.001). It can contribute to improve their ability to administrate medication in practice, with the accuracy of prescription, recalculation of prescribed drug dose, and observation of adverse reactions in clinical practice and simulation with collaborative approach. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of character strength and self-efficacy on subjective happiness of adult learners of distance nursing education. The subjects were 261 adult learners of Bachelor Science in nursing course for Registered Nurse of a national open university. The mean score of subjective happiness of subjects was a little lower. ‘Transcendence and Humanity' among Character Strength was the highest and ‘Justice’ was the lowest. Multiple regressions showed that positive integrity, hardiness, and perceived health status explained 38.0% of subjective happiness and positive integrity was the main influencing factor. The learning supporting strategies focusing on reinforcing these factors are needed to improve the subjective happiness of nurses who are continuing their learning through distance education. 배경 Pyramax, a fixed dose combination of pyronaridine tetraphosphate and artesunate (180/60 mg) has been initially approved for acute, uncomplicated malaria. Given its ready availability, proven clinical safety and tolerability, and the recent new non-clinical efficacy findings against SARS-CoV-2 wild-type and delta variant, the repurposing of Pyramax offers a fast-translational option to fulfil the current unmet need for globally accessible, earlier treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19. 방법 In this Phase 2 study involving adult patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19, we randomly assigned 113 patients to receive either one dose of Pyramax tablet or placebo once daily for 3 days and eval- uated the quantitative virologic and clinical outcomes. Safety was also evaluated. Patients were followed up to Day 28. 결과 Pyramax reduced viral load faster than placebo in high viral load carriers [patients with top 50% infectious viral load at baseline, ≥6000 (median) plaque-forming units (PFU)/ml]; the least-squares mean difference (Standard Error, SE) in changes of viable virus load from baseline (% change at Day 3) for Pyramax-treated patients was - 96.3 (31.5)% (95% confidence interval [CI], -160.1 to -32.5), significantly larger compared to the placebo-treated patients with -34.5 (30.7)% (95% CI, -96.7 to 27.7)(P=0.0143). In clinical outcomes, COVID-19 related hospitalization or death from any cause (≥24 hours of acute care) occurred in 5 of 52 patients (9.6%) in the Pyramax group and in 12 of 58 patients (20.7%) in the pla- cebo group through 28 days. Oxygen therapy due to worsening of symptoms occurred in 2 of 52 patients (3.8%) in the Pyramax group and in 5 of 58 patients (8.6%) in the Placebo group. The incidence of adverse events (AE) was not significantly different between groups. The most common AEs were nausea (13.5%), dyspepsia (11.5%), diarrhea (9.6%) and headache (5.8%), apart from pneumonia due to progression of the disease. There was no Suspected Unexpected Serious Adverse Reaction (SUSAR). 결론 Pyramax showed the tendency reducing the risk of COVID-19 related hospitalization/death and oxygen therapy. The purpose of this study was to understand the influences of resilience and perceived individual and organizational support on organizational commitment among Korean clinical nurse. Data were collected from 195 nurses who had worked in 6 hospitals in a province from March 15 to April 27, 2016. The mean organizational commitment score was similar to that of nurses who worked at small or medium sized hospitals in provinces and lower than that of nurses who worked at large sized general hospitals in metropolitan. Regression analysis indicated that factors influencing the participants’ organizational commitment were perceived organizational support, resilience, team nursing delivery method, and team-function mixed nursing delivery method. It is needed to establish strategies which can improve organizational commitment of nurses by improving organizational support and the resilience. Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the influence of nurse manager and peer group caring behaviors as perceived by nurses on intention to retention. Methods: The participants for this study were 229 nurses who had worked for over 6 months in general hospitals located in J province. Survey data were analyzed descriptive statistics and t-tests, ANOVAs with Scheffé's post-hoc testing, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The scores for 'manager and peer group caring behaviors' and intention to retention were all at a moderate level, although the subjects perceived 'peer group caring behaviors' as higher compared to 'manager caring behaviors'. There were significant differences in 'manager caring behaviors' scores by suitability for present working department and employment status and in 'peer group caring behaviors' scores by suitability for present working department. The factors influencing nurses' intention to retention were religion, suitability for present department, clinical experience of over ten years, 'manager caring behaviors', and 'peer group caring behaviors' Conclusion: To improve nurses' intention to retention, it may be necessary to alter the transfer and arrangement strategies of their working environments to better consider nurses' aptitude and competence, and thereby increase both manager and peer group caring behaviors. Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify demographic, clinical, physical, and psychosocial factors affecting discharge delay in lumbar spinal surgery patients who were treated according to a critical pathway. Methods: A sample of 170 patients with lumbar spinal surgery agreed to participate in the study, between April 1, 2014 and August 30, 2015. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, x2-test, ANCOVA, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Approximately fifty-nine percent of the participants was delayed discharge. On logistic regression analysis, female gender (OR=2.63, 95% CI=1.40~4.94), age (OR=1.03, 95% CI=1.01~1.05), spondylolisthesis (OR=4.49, 95% CI=1.90~10.61), and spinal fusion operation (OR=4.14, 95% CI=1.89~9.05) were significant factors predicting discharge delay of the participants. However, discharge delay was not related with pain, physical function, depression, or family support. Conclusion: An analysis of discharge delay may assist in evaluating and revising critical pathway for optimal care. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among daily hassles, self-efficacy, and stress responses of RN-BSN (Registered Nurses-Bachelor of Science in Nursing) students in juggling both their jobs and learning as an adult learner of distance education in digital convergence era. The data were collected by a questionnaire from 229 nurses in a RN-BSN course of an open university from October to November, 2013. The mean score of facing task dimension was much higher than the interpersonal dimension score among daily hassles. The academic problem of the facing task and the family relationship of the interpersonal were the highest respectively. The mean score of self-efficacy was slightly higher than the median. Multiple regression showed that perceived health status, workload, occupation satisfaction, and values problem of daily hassles explained 44.2% of stress reponses and values problem was the main factor influencing stress responses. Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis (XGC) is a rare type of chronic inflammation of the gallbladder characterized by focal or diffuse destructive inflammatory responses. Although it is a benign condition, its destructive course may lead to more aggressive outcomes of the gallbladder, such as local infiltration, fistula, stricture, and perforation as compared with other gallbladder inflammations. There are reports about XGC accompanied by cholecystoenteric fistula. However, XGC accompanied by more than one cholecystoenteric fistula is rare. We report a case of a 54-year-old man with gastric outlet obstruction arising from XGC, accompanied by cholecystoduodenal fisula and cholecystocolonic fistula, but without impacted gallstones. Apple (Malus ☓ domestica Borkh.) has gametophytic self-incompatibility (S) controlled by the multi-allelic S-locus. In the present study, S-genotypes of 24 apple cultivars including newly released Korean cultivars and seven crabapple cultivars were identified using S-allele specific polymerase chain reaction analysis. Twelve different S-alleles (S1, S2, S3, S5, S7, S9, S10, S16, S21, S23, S26, and S29) from 31 apple and crabapple cultivars were identified using 23 S-allele specific primers. Among them, S1 (41.7%), S3 (58.3%), S7 (29.2%), and S9 (54.2%) S-alleles were found to be common in 24 apple cultivars. The newly released Korean cultivars ‘Arisoo’ and ‘Hwangok' were genetyped as S3S7 and S3S9, respectively. S-genotypes information obtained from the present study will be useful to select proper pollinzers for stable production of apple fruit and to design cross of breeding programs. The purpose of this study was to examine the potential utility of marker-assisted selection (MAS) based on storability-associated molecular markers in apple breeding and to provide genotype information for the markers Md-ACS1, Md-ACO1, and Md-PG1 in apple genetic resources as basic data for the use of breeding materials. We analyzed 750 apple genetic resources to assess the allelic composition of Md-ACS1 and Md-ACO1, which play roles in the ethylene biosynthesis pathway, and Md-PG1, which is involved in cell wall degradation. For 108 of the genetic resources used for genotyping, we measured fruit firmness using a texture analyzer (10 mm plunger) at harvest and after 20 days of room temperature (20~25℃) storage. Md-ACS1 and Md-PG1 were found to be associated with changes in fruit firmness (the difference between firmness at harvest and after storage), with ACS1-2/2, PG1-1/1, and PG1-2/2 showing the lowest changes in fruit firmness. In addition, we found that changes in fruit firmness were smallest in late-harvest species, even for the same genotype. In contrast, Md-ACO1 appeared to be unrelated to the storability of fruit. Of the 750 apple genetic resources screened, the genotypes ACS1-2/2, and PG1-1/1 or PG1-2/2 were detected in 3.6% of accessions, including ‘Fuji’, bud mutation cultivars of ‘Fuji’, ‘Chubu’, and ‘Iwakami’.
