Abstract

In order to achieve accurate and reliable prediction of the dissolved oxygen in ponds and mitigate aquaculture risks, we propose a predictive model based on Feature Construction (FC) pretreatment and Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN) coupled with Bidirectional Gate Recurrent Unit (BiGRU). By constructing statistical features, environmental factor features and seasonal features from the samples, deep-level correlations between variables are explored. Then, the structural feature sequences are processed using multiple layers of convolution and dimensionality reduction through TCN, while preserving the global temporal characteristics and removing redundant information. By integrating BiGRU to model the reduced features, accurate prediction of dissolved oxygen levels is achieved. Furthermore, the Sand Cat Swarm Optimization (SCSO) algorithm is employed to optimize the non-parametric Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) for estimating the distribution range of dissolved oxygen prediction errors. The experimental results indicate that the proposed model achieves superior performance compared to other comparative models, with respective values of 0.027 5 for Mean Squared Error (MSE), 0.143 2 for Mean Absolute Error (MAE), 0.165 8 for Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), and 0.94 for the Coefficient of Determination (R²). Meanwhile, the interval estimation effectively covers the fluctuation range of dissolved oxygen, thereby quantifying the uncertainty in the prediction process. In the short-term prediction of dissolved oxygen levels in ponds, this model demonstrates notable accuracy and robustness. Abstract

In the present study, we established a practical training program for drug information involving active participation based on the "Model Core Curriculum for Practical Training". Our subjects were 20 third or fourth year students from 8 universities who underwent practical training at the Department of Pharmacy, Mie University Hospital from February through August 2006. We used small group discussions based on the "KJ method" devised by Jiro Kawakita and simulated meetings of the pharmaceutical deliberation committee in which debate took place. A questionnaire using a descriptive format was administered to evaluate student opinions just before and after the training and a ten-grade VAS (Visual Analog Scale) was applied to the evaluation obtained just after the training was completed. Achievement of individual objectives was 18% in consideration of the number of training hours compared with those specified in the Model Core Curriculum and 92% in consideration of numbers of objectives. Based on questionnaire responses, understanding of the details of objectives tended to be better after the training that before it. VAS scores for satisfaction with the training as regards content and hours were 9.0±1.1 and 7.0±2.0 (mean±S.D.), respectively. The small group discussions based on the "KJ method" were helpful in obtaining the opinions of students and summarizing them in a short period of time and were useful in achieving drug information training based on active participation. The combination of small group discussions and active debate with drug information training enabled the training objectives to be comprehensively achieved.

Abstract

Background/Aim: Numerous prognostic factors for HCC have been reported. Few literatures have reported clinical significance of amount of intraoperative blood loss (ABL) for the outcome after surgery for HCC. The aim of this study is to analyze of significance of ABL for outcome after surgery for HCC. Patients and methods: Total of 301 patients underwent liver resection for HCC between January 1998 and June 2007 were included. Clinical and surgical characteristics were collected and prognostic factors were identified using univariate and multivariate analysis. Results: Impaired liver function (liver damage B), large tumor (> 36mm), multiple tumors, existence of macroscopic vessel invasion, large ABL (≥ 700ml), and replacement of red blood cell were identified as independent prognostic factors for overall survival (OS). For disease free survival (DFS), old age (> 66), male gender, impaired liver function, large tumor, multiple tumors, existence of macroscopic vessel invasion, and large ABL were extracted. Limited to the patients without blood transfusion, large ABL is associated with poor OS and DFS. Conclusions: Large ABL could result in poor OS and DFS after liver resection of HCC in patients without blood transfusion. Surgeons have to make the best effort to reduce ABL.

Abstract

Aim: The correlation between the mass-forming type of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and the infection of the hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus are poorly understood. In this study, the clinical features of 34 patients with the mass-forming type ICC were reviewed to evaluate prognostic determinants. Methodology: Between January 1997, and December 2007, 34 patients underwent surgical resection for the mass-forming type of ICC in Kumamoto University Hospital. The significance of 14 clinicopathological factors consisting of age, gender, CA19-9 levels, CEA levels, size, intrahepatic metastases, portal vein invasion, bile duct invasion,histological differentiation, lymph node involvement, type B or C hepatitis, lymph node dissection, Sirius Red score of the tumor and platelet count in peripheral blood were analyzed, with regard to prognostic aspect. Results: Univariate analysis showed that significant risk factors for poor survival included age ≧65 years, CEA levels ≧1.6ng/ml and pathological lymph node involvement. Multivariate analysis revealed that age, CEA levels and lymph node involvement were independent and significant poor prognostic factors. Conclusions: It was concluded that age, CEA levels and lymph node involvement were significantly poor prognostic factors. However, the infection with type B or C hepatitis was not a prognostic factor of the mass forming type ICC.

Abstract

Purpose: This study was designed to define the diagnostic advantage of computed tomography during arterial portography(CTAP) combined with computed tomography–assisted hepatic arteriography(CTHA) for preoperative detection of liver metastases secondary to pancreatic cancer compared with that of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT). Methods: From January 2002 to December 2007, we retrospectively studied 197 consecutive patients with pancreatic cancer. MDCT was performed on 192 patients prior to preoperative visceral angiography. 153 patients underwent CTAP + CTHA at the time of preoperative angiography. Results: Liver metastases were identified in 39 patients by means of MDCT. Of 129 patients who underwent CTAP + CTHA, 53 patients (41.1%) were diagnosed as having liver metastases, which could not be detected by MDCT. These tumors missed by MDCT ranged from 3 to 15 mm in size. On CTAP + CTHA, a solitary nodule in the liver was detected in 11 patients, 2 nodules in 6 patients, 3 lesions in 2 patient, and ≧ 4 lesions in 34 patients. The sensitivity and specificity of CTAP + CTHA versus MDCT were 94.2% versus 48.4% and 82.7% versus 97.9%, respectively. Conclusions: The combination of CTAP and CTHA is useful to confirm liver metastases and can potentially offer more accurate staging of pancreatic cancer compared with MDCT.

Abstract

The Kuroshio south of Japan shows a clear bimodal path characteristic between large meander path and no large meander path. It has been pointed out by many studies that the volume transport of the Kuroshio is an important parameter which controls the selection of the bimodal Kuroshio path. However, a clear relationship between the intersity of volume transport and the selection of the Kuroshio path has been not clarified yet. From these view points, we have made hydrographic observations of the Kuroshio south of Japan over the period of 1983-1988. In this report, we present the basic data of geostrophic volume transport referred to 1500 db and the volume transport observed by suspended current meter from the vessel. It is shown that there exists a remarkable variation in volume transport. The geostrophic transport is relatively larger in period of no large meander (70.5±9.8 Sv) than that in large meander (61.8±20.0 Sv. The largest transport is observed during the transition period from no meander path to large meander path in winter of 1986., 日本南岸の黒潮は大蛇行流路と非大蛇行流路との間で明確な二様性を示す。従来の多くの研究から黒潮流量が流路 の重要なパラメータであることが指摘されているが，はっきりした黒潮流量の大小とその時の流路の形との関連が得 られていない。このような観点から，1983年から1988年の間に黒潮に関する各層観測を行った。この報告では1500 dbを無流面とする地衡流および船から係留した流速計による流速値の鉛直分布を提示した。全データの平均から， 黒潮流量は非大蛇行期に70.5±9.8Svで大蛇行期の61.8±20.0Svよりも大きいことがわかった。また，黒潮流量 は1986年の冬の非大蛇行流路から大蛇行流路への移行期に最大となることが示された。

40. 基于Peguero-Lo Presti指数的心电图诊断完全性左束支传导阻滞伴左室肥厚价值分析.

Abstract

目的评价基于Peguero-Lo Presti指数的心电图参数在诊断完全性左束支传导阻滞（CLBBB)伴左室肥 厚(LVH)中的价值。方法选取CLBBB患者401例，以超声心动图左室质量指数（LVMI)作为诊断LVH的参考 标准，将患者分为LVH阳性、阴性患者。对所有患者行心电图检查，以超声心动图检查结果为金标准，分析评价心 电图各参数 SV2、SV3、SV3 + RV6、Sokolow 指数(SV1 + RV5)、Cornell 指数（SV3 + Ravl )、Peguero-Lo Presti 指数(SD + SV4 )、 QRS 时限、QTc 间期、SV3/SV2、RV6/RV5&PtfVl 对 LVH 患者的诊断效能。结果≥3.4 mv2.7 mV+ RV6≥3.9 mV、Svl +RV5≥3. 1 mV、SV3 + Ravl≥3. 5 mV、SD +SV4≥4. 9 mV、QRS 时限≥ 160 ms、QTc 间期≥510 ms' Sw/Sw≥1、RV6/RV5≥l、Ptfvl矣-0.04 mm/s均为诊断CLBBBB合并LVH的可靠指标；其中QRS时限（AUC:0.753，P<0. 001)及QTc间期（AUC :0. 765，P<0. 001)在心电图各参数中是最准确的;Peguero-Lo Presti指数（灵敏 度 43.2%、特异度 82.5%，AUC :0.679)较 Sokolow 指数（灵敏度 49.6%、特异度 58.4% ,AUC :0.575) Cornell 指数 (灵敏度47.3%、特异度79.6% ,AUC:0.669)诊断LVH更为准确。结论 QRS时限為160 ms及QTc间期>510 ms是诊断CLBBB合并LVH时心电图各参数中最准确的;Peguero-Lo Presti指数对CLBBBB合并LVH的诊断价值 高于Sokolow指数、Cornell指数。 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
