The study measured and analyzed different tissues, body temperature, blood indexes and serum biochemical indexes of Liangshan Black sheep in Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, which in order to enrich the basic theoretical research data of Liangshan black sheep and accelerate the development, utilization and protection of Liangshan black sheep. The results showed that the width, thickness, and height of the heart in adult Liangshan black sheep were 68.0 mm, 43.5 mm, and 102.1 mm, respectively. The weight of the heart, liver, and lungs was 182.6 g, 716.4 g, and 797.6 g, respectively. The body temperature of male and female sheep was range from 38.3 to 39.2 ℃, with a lower temperature in the morning and a higher temperature in the evening, but the temperature difference did not exceed 1 ℃; the body temperature of male and female lambs aged 3-6 months was 38.2 to 39.1 ℃, which were basically the same as that of adult lambs. The RBC and HCT was 3.29×10¹²-13.93×10¹²/L, 17.80%-41.20% respectively, which were significantly higher than small-tailed han sheep index in low altitude area; the PLT, PCT and MPV was 223×10⁹-552×10⁹/L,0.10%- 0.28% and 3.9-5.2 fL respectively, which were significantly lower than those of small-tailed Han sheep at low altitudes. The TP, GLO, CRE and BUN was 50.9-81.4 g/L, 25.5-51 g/L, 62.6-103.4 μmol/L and 3.84-9.18 mmol/L respectively, which were all higher than those of small-tail han sheep at low altitudes. Among them, the difference of CRE was very significant, the difference of BUN was significant, and the other differences are not significant. The results indicated that the physiological and biochemical indexes of Liangshan black sheep were different from those of sheep in low altitude area, which might be related to the adaptability of high cold and low oxygen.
