Facing the risk challenges of storms and floods in the future, strengthening the research on risk communication and public participation, improving the effectiveness of risk management will help to reduce disaster risks. Due to the effective information dissemination capabilities of social media, it is becoming increasingly crucial in disaster management. Based on 98 078 pieces of Weibo information crawled of the keyword Henan from rainstorm from Sina Weibo, this paper analyzes the changes of public concern through text extraction, statistics, and co-occurrence network, and explores the differences and tendencies of public concern to different disaster information. The research results are as follows. The evolution process of rainstorm flood disaster event in Henan is divided into four stages: incubation period, outbreak period, sustained period, and fading period. The degree of public concern is affected by the intensity of hazards at the early stage of the disaster, and when the hazards reach a certain intensity and cause serious disasters, it will arouse extensive and sustained public concern. The Weibo text of rainstorm flood disaster event mainly presents three themes: hazards, disaster impact, and response. This event can be subdivided into 26 categories according to the information content. The public is concerned with different types of disaster information in different periods. In the incubation period, the public is most concerned about the early warning information of hazards such as flash floods, but the attention is low. During the outbreak period, sustained period, and fading period, waterlogging has become the most concerned hazards for the public, casualties and traffic jams are the most concerned disaster impact, and online help, donations and on-site rescue are the most concerned responses for the public. There are six cohesive subgroups in this event, including casualties, traffic jams, economic losses, energy communication, production and life, and secondary disasters. Among them, casualties, victims' online help, on-site rescue, and donations are the core events of this rainstorm flood disaster event, which constitute the core cohesive subgroup of the theme of casualties.
