Due to the long pathological process of Alzheimer disease (AD), this paper begins with the timeline of classical pathological events in AD and uses anomalous microglia activation as a starting point to elucidate the role of abnormal lipid metabolism in the pathological process of AD. This includes its influence on microglial pathology and its interactions with the two primary nodes of AD, namely, Amyloid-β and the microtubule-associated protein tau. Using this as a foundation, the paper briefly describes the effects of abnormal lipid metabolism caused by short-term and long-term high-fat diets on the pathological progression of AD and its potential mechanisms, aiming to provide a reference framework for the early intervention of AD. Objective　To investigate the effect of phytoestrogen biochanin A （BCA） on liver fibrosis induced by CCl4 in female mice with bilateral oophorectomy （ovariectomized） and its mechanism. Methods　A total of 50 ovariectomized Kunming mice were selected and given intraperitoneal injection of CCl4 to establish a model of liver fibrosis， and then according to body weight， they were randomly divided into model group， positive control group， and low-， middle-， and high-dose BCA groups， with 10 mice in each group. In addition， 10 female mice in the same litter were given resection of a small amount of adipose tissue near both ovaries to establish the sham-operation group. The mice in the positive control group were given estradiol 2 mg/kg by gavage， and those in the low-， middle-， and high-dose BCA groups were given BCA by gavage at a dose of 25， 50， and 100 mg/kg， respectively， once a day for 7 consecutive weeks； the mice in the sham-operation group and the model group were given an equal volume of 0.5% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose solution by gavage. The mice were anesthetized and sacrificed after administration to collect samples. Liver index and uterus index were measured； HE staining and Masson staining were used to observe liver histopathological changes； the biochemical analysis was used to measure the activity of aspartate aminotransferase （AST） and alanine aminotransferase （ALT）； ELISA was used to measure the levels of interleukin-6 （IL-6） and tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α） in liver tissue， and Western blot was used to measure the relative protein expression levels of collagen Ⅰ， transforming growth factorbeta 1（ TGF-β1）， alpha-smooth muscle actin（ α-SMA）， estrogen receptor beta（ ERβ）， and p-NF-κBp65/NF-κBp65 in liver tissue. The t-test was used for comparison of continuous data between two groups； a one-way analysis of various was used for comparison between multiple groups， and the least significant difference t-test was used for further comparison between two groups. The Kruskal- Wallis H test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed continuous data between multiple groups and further comparison between two groups. Results　Compared with the sham-operated group， the model group had a significant increase in liver index and a significant reduction in uterus index， as well as significant increases in the activities of serum AST and ALT， the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in liver tissue， and the protein expression levels of collagen Ⅰ， TGF-β1， α-SMA， and p-NF-κBp65/NF-κBp65 in liver tissue （all P< 0.05）， with no significant change in the expression of ERβ in liver tissue （P>0.05）， and the model group showed significant fibrosis lesions in the liver， such as hepatocyte edema， steatosis， and necrosis with inflammatory cell infiltration and hyperplasia， deposition， and staggered distribution of collagen fibers. Compared with the model group， the low- ， middle- ， and high-dose BCA groups had significant reductions in liver index， the activities of serum AST and ALT， the levels of IL-6 and TNF- α， and the protein expression levels of collagen Ⅰ， TGF-β1， α-SMA， and p-NF-κBp65/NF-κBp65 in liver tissue （all P<0.05）， with no significant change in uterine index （P>0.05）， as well as a significant increase in the protein expression level of ERβ in liver tissue （P<0.05） and varying degrees of improvement in liver fibrosis lesions. Conclusion　BCA can effectively improve CCL4-induced liver fibrosis in ovariectomized female mice， possibly by upregulating ERβ to inhibit the NF-κB signaling pathway and then alleviating inflammatory response. Runoff-storm surge interaction can increase storm surge, hence aggravating the risk of storm surge in the estuary area. In this paper, a numerical model of storm surges in the Pearl River Estuary was established based on the Semi-implicit Cross-scale Hydroscience Integrated System model. With typhoon Mangkhut as an example, observational data were used to verify model results, and the relative error of the highest tide was less than 9%. Two runoff processes were simulated and the effects of runoff changes on storm surge were discussed. The results showed that storm surge intensified with the increase in runoff volume. Runoff had a considerable influence on the storm surge at Sishengwei and Nansha stations, and the influence was the most significant when the storm surge water reached the maximum amount. In the runoff-dominated area, when the upstream runoff volume increased, a negative effect on storm surge water could be identified. For example, in the Modaomen waterway, storm surge decreased with the increase in runoff volume. It dropped from 3.22 m at Denglongshan Station to 1.12 m at Makou Station. In the tidedominated area, when the upstream runoff volume increased, a positive effect on storm surge water could be identified. Objective: To study the expression and effects of BK channel in the cortex of kidney after ischemia reperfusion injury. The model of Ischemia reperfusion in the kidney was developed in SD rats. The blood and the kidney tissues were collected at 24 h after IR. The values of BUM and Scr were tested by the ELISA, and the mRNA and protein expression of BK channelαsubunit were examined by the RT-PCR and western blot. Results: The mRNA expression of BK channel αsubunit in IR group rats were were significantly decreased compared with that in shamgroup rats(P<0.01). The protein expression level of BK channel αsubunit in IR group rats were significantly lower than that in shamgroup rats(P<0.05). The values of BUMand Scr in IR rats after NS1619 treatment was significantly decreased than the IR rats with saline. As an internal environment of tumor occurrence, tumor microenvironment is composed of a variety of cells and extracellular matrix, and plays a crucial role in tumor formation, transfer and resistance to drugs. The regulation of tumor microenvironment will be a potential target to control the cancer. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a kind of 21 to 25 nucleotides single-stranded RNA, and are mainly involved in regulating gene expression. Recently, with the suggestion of cellular autonomous tumor inhibition mechanism, the regulation of tumor microenvironment by miRNAs has received great attention. This review summarizes recent findings on the non-cell-autonomous mechanisms of miRNAs-mediated regulation of tumor microenvironments, which provides foundations and perspective on the design of therapeutic interventions. Nuclear factor E2 related factor Nrf2 is a nuclear transcription factors involved in a variety of protein expression. As a center of oxidative stress regulation, it combines with antioxidant components (antioxidant responsive element, ARE) and activates downstream multiple anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying enzyme protein expression. This signaling pathway is involved in the development of inflammation, tumor and other pathological process. This review describes the basic structure, biological effects and signaling pathways of Nrf2, summarizes the latest progress about mechanisms of factors, which are involved in the positive and negative regulations of signal pathway, providing a new target for antiinflammatory, antioxidant, and antitumor biochemical treatment.
