Objective: To explore the clinical effect of baduanjin exercise combined with staged cardiac rehabilitation training in patients with coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: 132 patients with coronary heart disease and who were admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to December 2022 were selected, and PCI was successfully performed. Patients were divided into control group(cardiac rehabilitation training, n=66) and experimental group(baduanjin exercise 6 hours after operation on the basis of control group, n=66)according to the random number table method. The cardiac function indexes [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD)], anxiety and depression [self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS)], health quality of life scale (SF-36) scores and total scores were compared between two groups before and after 12 weeks of intervention, and the incidence of cardiovascular adverse events was observed in two groups. Results: 12 weeks after intervention, LVEF in experimental group was higher than that in control group, LVESD and LVEDD were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). 12 weeks after intervention, the scores of SAS and SDS in experimental group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). 12 weeks after intervention, total score and each dimension of SF-36 were higher than those in control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of cardiovascular adverse events in experimental group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Baduanjin exercise combined with staged cardiac rehabilitation training intervened in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with type II diabetes after PCI, which helped to improve cardiac function, alleviate depression and anxiety, and further improve the quality of life of patients.
