Objective To explore the influence of acupoint electric stimulation on the lower limb motor function and daily life self-care ability of patients with poststroke foot prolapse Based on the theory of governing the paralysis take Yang Ming. Methods In the study,70 patients with poststroke foot prolapse who had undergone rehabilitation treatment in the rehabilitation room of the neurology department of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to November 2019 and were randomly divided into control group and intervention group using SPSS22.0 statistical software, with 35 patients in each group. Both groups of patients were given routine treatment and nursing care in the department of neurology. The control group was received routine rehabilitation training based on exercise therapy, and the intervention group was received acupoint electrical stimulation on the basis of the control group. The ankle active dorsiflexion range of motion (AROM),FuGL-Meyer Lower Limb Motor Function Rating Scale (FMA-LE) and Barthel index (BI) scores of 2 groups were compared before and 4 weeks after intervention. Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference in AROM,FMA-LE and BI between the two groups of patients (P >0.05);After 4 weeks of intervention, the scores of AROM,FMA-LE and BI in 2 groups were significantly higher than those before intervention, and the scores of AROM,FMA-LE and BI in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Acupoint electrical stimulation based on the theory of governing the paralysis take Yang Ming can effectively increase the AROM of patients with foot prolapse after stroke, improve the motor function of the lower limbs, and improve the ability of daily living.
