Using ZnSO4, NH4HCO3, Fe2(SO4)3 as reactants, ZnO:Fe3+ micro/nano composite materials with 0.0~4.6 wt% of Fe3+ dopant in ZnO were prepared by the co-precipitation method. The composites were characterized by multiple techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FSEM), specific surface area (BET), and energy-dispersive spectrum (EDS). The photocatalytic activity of Fe3+-ZnO were evaluated in the degradation of the methyl orange solutions. The experimental results showed that the calcination temperature had little effect on the photocatalytic activity of Fe3+-ZnO composites, but the Fe3+ doping ratio influenced significantly the photocatalytic efficiency. The Fe3+-ZnO powders with well-distributed and uniform crystallites, which was obtained by calcining the 0.40 wt% Fe3+- ZnO composites at 300℃, exhibited the highest efficiency. The degradation ratio reached 96.1% and 97.4% respectively for the 150 min UV light irradiation and 6h natural daylight. The desirable efficiency could be attributed to the high specific surface area of Fe3+-ZnO (71.9m2·g-1) and well-distributed crystallites. A series of TiO2 composite catalytic materials were prepared by the one-step hydrothermal method, using nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) as the substrate, and urea and graphene oxide (GO) as precursors, use XRD, FTIR, SEM, DRS and other means to characterize. The phenol solution was taken as the target to degrade pollutants, and its catalytic activity under blue light irradiation was investigated. The effect of reaction conditions and doping amount on the properties of composite materials was studied. The results show that there is a chemical bond between NCC and TiO2, and NCC can promote the improvement of the dispersion performance of the composite; the further doping of N and graphene narrows the material forbidden band width, and the absorption sideband has a red shift, which improves the material absorption in the visible light region enhances the photocatalytic activity. Under blue light irradiation, TiO2/NCC, N-TiO2/NCC,N-TiO2/NCC-rCO can reach phenol degradation rate o£ 37. 82%,55. 43%, and 77. 3%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
