Objective: To investigate the local application of Cervitec gel and clean curettage in gingival microflora of periodontitis. Methods: 60 Patients with periodontitis were selected and divided into control group and experimental group. The control group were treated by traditional clean shave. The experiment group were treated on the base of the control group with cervitec gel was applied to the teeth and periodontal pocket. Oral health index, probe and gingival fluid levels, bacterial group inhibition and major bacterial killing levels of the changes were compared by statistical software SPSS 17.0. Results: Compared with the control group, the effect of oral index, gingival level and bacterial flora in patients of experimental group were more obviously inhibited. The performance were plaque index, gingival index (GI), bleeding index was decreased significantly (P<0.05); the probing depth, attachment level, gingival crevicular fluid content was decreased significantly (P<0.05); the total bacteria, gram negative and gram positive bacteria group was greatly inhibited (P<0.05); the level of Streptococcus Gordon, slow Streptococcus disease, black Prevotella, Porphyromonas gingivalis cell killing bacteria was significantly increased (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Local application of gel combined with clean curettage can effectively inhibit gingival microflora and maintain long-term efficacy, reduce irritation and allergies, improve the clinical efficiency, protect gum health, and produce smaller side effects for teeth.
