The calculation models and typical sections of exposed penstocks in hydropower station are illustrated based on mechanical mechanism and the bearing characteristics. On the basis of the calculation models of exposed penstocks, stresses on four typical sections of exposed penstocks in hydropower station are analyzed by analytical and finite element methods. The similarities and differences between the two methods and the stress mechanism of the exposed penstocks are revealed according to contrastive analyzing stresses on the four typical sections of the exposed penstocks. The stress characteristics of the size of the supporting ring and stiffening ring are studied, and the influence of the supporting ring and stiffening ring on these two typical sections is analyzed and discussed. The results show that, with the increase of the ratio of height to thickness of supporting ring and stiffening ring, the Mises stress values of stiffening ring and supporting ring and their adjacent pipe wall elements decrease gradually. Moreover, the stress of the supporting ring and stiffening ring of exposed penstocks in hydropower station is complex. Meanwhile, the equivalent stress values obtained by the analytical method are greater than the values obtained by the finite element method, and there are some unreasonable places. Therefore, it suggests that the finite element method should be used for the stress analysis of the exposed penstocks in hydropower station. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effects of different addition amounts of superphosphate on vegetable waste compost were studied. Results showed that, addition of superphosphate improved the temperature during the compost. It had the highest temperature of 64.33℃, when the addition quantity of superphosphate was 10.26% of dry matter weight. At the end of the composting, adding superphosphate had no significant effect on C/N, however, it decreased pH and improved the EC of the compost. The EC values were significantly higher than CK, when the addition amount was be tween 4.10%and 10.26%of dry matter weight. When the addition below 10.26%, the GI values were significantly higher than CK(P<0.01), and the highest value was 105.61%, when the addition was 2.05%(S5). Adding superphosphate significantly reduced the nitrogen loss rate of composting(P<0.05), and the lowest was 23.94%，when the addition was 2.05%, meanwhile, the input-output ratio was 3.93, which was the highest value. Under this experimental condition, adding superphosphate promoted the compost maturity significantly, reduced the nitrogen loss rate, and the optimal addition of superphosphate was 2.05% of dry matter weight. OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of docetaxel and lobaplatin combined with radiotherapy in treatment of middle and advanced esophageal cancer. METHOD: 64 patients with esophageal cancer admitted into General Hospital of Fushun Mining Bureau from Feb. 2013 to Feb. 2015 were retrospectively selected and divided into observation group(33 cases) and control group(31 cases) according to different therapeutic regimens. The control group was given three dimensional conformal radiation therapy alone, while the observation group was given docetaxel and lobaplatin for chemotherapy based on the control group. Differences in incidences of adverse drug reactions between two groups were compared; in 3-year follow-up, the survival rates of patients in 1, 2 and 3 years were observed. RESULTS: The incidence of nausea and vomiting of observation group was 57.6%(19/33), which was significantly higher than that of the control group(45.2%, 14/31), with statistically significant difference(P<0.05), there was no significant difference in incidence of other adverse drug reactions(P>0.05); the survival rates of observation group in 1, 2 and 3 years were significantly higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The combination of docetaxel and lobaplatin with radiotherapy in treatment of middle and advanced esophageal cancer can effectively prolong patients’ lifetime. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
