In order to study the effect of mine drainage flow on the environment, the research took the surface water quality and vegetation in Shnxi River of Yangquan, Shanxi Province as the object, explained the characteristics of mine drainage water, vegetation distribution and the distribution patter of dominant population and explored the property of acid mine drainage inflow and the phytoremediation effect. The results show that the surface water in the research area shows a lower pH value mid higher oxidation reduction potential, the water depth is the highest in summer and autumn, and the pollution condition of upstream is the heaviest compared with the middle and downstream, which dissolves with high concentration of SO42-, Fe3+ and Fe2+. The higher concentration of heavy metal ions such as Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and Cd arc dissolved in the river sediments and the heavy metal ions are carried to the downstream environment with the water flow. A total of 35 species of plants arc found in the study area, belonging to 11 families and mostly are legumes, Gramincae and Compositae. The plant composition is simple mid recd ( Phragmitcs australis L. ) is the dominant species. The reed population is propagated by crossing the roots and stems, showing the dumped and uniform distribution patter. It can enrich heavy metals such as Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn and shows a high transport coefficient for Mn. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
