- Abstract
We investigated the population of Lithocarpus glaucus, an endangered plant species, within the provincial nature reserve E’huangzhang, Yangchun, Guangdong, to enhance their monitoring and conservation efforts. Employing ecological niche measurements, variance ratio analysis, χ² tests, and a combination of Pearson′s and Spearman′s rank correlation coefficients, we comprehensively analyzed the ecological niches and interspecific interactions among 31 dominant tree species in the L. glaucus community. Our findings reveal that L. glaucus ranks seconds in importance, after Homalium cochinchinense, with a significantly wide ecological niche. Among the 30 pairs of tree species combinations involving L. glaucus, the niche similarity ratios of 25 pairs were over 0.50, and the niche overlap values of 26 pairs were over 0.50, indicating high ecological similarity and overlap among the dominant species, suggesting potential competition in a resource scarce environment. Overall, the 31 dominant tree species exhibit significant positive associations, indicating that the L. glaucus community is in a relatively mature successional stage. The results of the χ² test as well as Pearson′s and Spearman′s rank correlation coefficients show that the interspecific associations among dominant canopy species are relatively weak, suggesting independent distribution patterns. In summary, the L. glaucus community is currently in a late successional stage, utilizing resources efficiently, with weak interspecific correlations and potential competitive risks. The L. glaucus population thrives in environments free from human disturbances, demonstrating strong survival potential. To enhance their recovery and growth, we recommend increasing light intensity within the forest, selectively removing dead or wind-felled trees, and managing species population sizes with significant negative associations to optimize the growth environment. - Abstract
Induce pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)refer to a class of stem cell lines that reprogram terminally differentiated somatic cells into infinite proliferation and regeneration and have multiple cell types differentiated into three germ layers by introducing specific transcription factors. At present, many important achievements have been made in the research of iPSCs in humans and mice, but no breakthrough has been made in the research of iPSCs in other animals, such as cattle and other economic ungulates. How to efficiently and safely introduce foreign transcription factors into somatic cells through reprogramming vectors and continuously express them is the main bottleneck in the production of bovine induced pluripotent stem cells. This article reviews the selection of reprogramming system, induction factors and small molecule compounds in the establishment of bovine iPSCs, aiming to provide reference for further improvement of biPSCs and the establishment of bovine embryonic stem cell lines. BACKGROUND: Stem cell therapy has great clinical application potential. Stem cell donor needs to be screened for infectious and genetic diseases before implantation, but some important factors related to lifestyle are often overlooked, especially smoking. For many diseases, smoking is a risk factor. With the increasing use of e-cigarettes, nicotine exposure is becoming serious and widespread. OBJECTIVE: To describe and analyze the effects of nicotine exposure on various types of stem cells. METHODS: Articles were searched on PubMed and CNKI databases published between 1806 and 2021. The search terms were “nicotine, tobacco smoking, stem cells therapy, embryonic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, periodontal ligament-derived stem cells” in Chinese and English. A total of 59 articles were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and summarized. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Nicotine activates nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in embryonic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells and periodontal membrane stem cells through a variety of mechanisms to affect their proliferation, differentiation, migration and apoptosis. At present, although the research on the effect of nicotine on stem cells is facing severe challenges, it is very necessary to study the effect of nicotine on stem cells, because “healthy stem cells” are the prerequisite for stem cell therapy. Deep reinforcement learning explores a large number of environmental samples during the training process, which will cause the algorithm to take too long to converge. Reuse or transfer the knowledge of the previous task (source task), which has the potential to improve the convergence speed for the learning of the algorithm in the new task (target task). In order to improve the efficiency of algorithm learning, this paper proposed transfer reinforcement learning algorithm with double Q-learning. The algorithm based on the actor-critic framework utilized the knowledge of the optimal value function of the source task, so that the value function network of the target task made a more accurate evaluation of the strategy, and guided the strategy to quickly update in the direction of the optimal strategy. In Open AI Gym and the experiments where manipulator reaches the target position in the three-dimensional space, this algorithm achieves better results than conventional deep reinforcement learning algorithms. Experiments show that transfer reinforcement learning algorithm with double Q-learning has faster convergence speed, and the algorithm exploration is more stable during the training process.
