In engineering practice, stone columns often have poor application effects due to the lack of sufficient lateral binding force, making it difficult to effectively control the settlement of composite foundations. In order to solve the problem of poor application effect of ordinary stone columns, a geosynthetics -enclosed stone column composite foundation model was established based on ABAQUS finite element software, and the influence of different column length diameter ratio, column modulus, geosynthetics strength and other factors on the bearing characteristics of geosynthetics-enclosed stone column was studied. The results show that geosynthetics can effectively provide lateral restraint for stone columns and improve the bearing capacity of composite foundation. The research results are helpful to deeply understand the mechanism of reinforcing foundations with geosynthetics-enclosed stone columns, and provide reference for related engineering construction.
