Bi4O5Br2 was prepared by in-situ precipitation at room temperature and rhodamine B(RhB) was used as the target pollutant to study the photocatalytic performance of the prepared catalyst under visible light. XRD, SEM, XPS, nitrogen adsorption-desorption and transient photocurrent were used to characterize the structure, morphology, elemental valence state, specific surface area and photocarrier separation efficiency of the catalyst during the catalytic reaction. The results showed that after visible light irradiation for 30 min, the removal rate of 20 mg/ L RhB by Bi4O5Br2 was 89. 76%, and the reaction rate constant k value was 0. 069 min-1. The synthesized catalyst Bi4O5Br2 was composed of nano-flake structure with nano-cluster phenomenon. The pore size distribution of the catalyst mainly concentrates on 5-10 nm, and the specific surface area is 32. 52 m² / g. The gap width of Bi4O5Br2 is about 2. 31 eV, and the average lifetime of the carrier is 40. 44 ns. Under visible light irradiation, the sample produced obvious photocurrent, indicating that the sample has visible light response, and the catalyst was successfully synthesized and can be used in visible light catalytic reaction.
