Foam forming method was employed to fabricate high-performance fiber/porous powder composite sponges, which polyimide fibers and aramid fibers are used as fiber raw materials and different porous powders are used as functional particles. The effects of the type and dosage of porous powders on the structure and properties of the composite sponge were investigated. The results showed that the addition of porous powder can increase the density of the composite sponges. The porosity and specific pore volume of the composite sponge was decreased with increasing amount of inorganic particles. In addition, the type of inorganic powder gave the sponges different sound and thermal insulation properties. The addition of silica aerogel was beneficial to improve the thermal insulation performance. When the dosage was 6 wt%,the thermal conductivity of the composite sponge was as low as 0.030 W/ (m·K) ; in addition, addition 24 wt% calcium silicate increased the NRC of the composite sponge NRC from 0.41 to 0.53.
