慈善公益作为第三次分配的重要内容，是观察不同阶层应对社会不平等所采取社会行动的有效工具。通过对2012年和2016年中国劳动力动态调查(CLDS)数据的分析发现：2012年中国居民的慈善捐赠主要受家庭绝对收入影响，而2016年由收入比较形成的相对收入已成为家庭慈善捐赠的决定因素；在绝对收入起主导作用时，家庭收入对慈善捐赠的影响随着收入不平等加剧而增强，而在相对收入起主导作用时，收入不平等的调节作用则相反。研究结果为既有争议提供了理论解释，也进一步揭示了单纯改善个体绝对收入对促进慈善捐赠作用的限度，舆论引导公众进行合理的社会比较对于引导个人积极参与公益慈善事业具有重要意义。 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
