Cell-in-cell (CIC) is a phenomenon described as the active infiltration of one or more living cells into another living cell, forming intracellular structures and producing biological effects. This phenomenon was first observed and detailed in the early 20th century. However, it has only become an active area of research in cell biology in the past decade. As research advanced, scientists gradually recognized that the phenomenon of CIC exists in many biological systems and diseases, and has important physiological and pathological significance in evolution, development, homeostasis, and diseases, especially in tumors, which has important clinical research value. Currently, five forms of CIC structures have been identified: cell cannibalism, phagoptosis, enclysis, entosis, and emperipolesis. Each form represents a distinct interaction between cells, characterized by unique cell types, biological characteristics, molecular mechanisms, and implications in pathophysiology. This article aims to review the cell types involved in each CIC structure, their biological characteristics and the molecular mechanisms driving these interactions, and to explore the potential clinical significance in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of human diseases. Laboratory animals play a crucial role in foundational scientific research and clinical medicine. Non-human primates (NHP), particularly Macaca mulatta and Macaca fascicularis, have long been highly valued due to their close resemblance to humans. After more than half a century of development, China's NHP laboratory animal industry has gradually transitioned from its early stage of rapid and unregulated growth to a mature stage of standardization and refinement. However, there has been a dramatic surge in global biopharmaceutical research in recent years, leading to a sharp increase in demand for NHP laboratory animals. This surge, coupled with the lack of long-term strategic planning among breeding enterprises, has resulted in severe aging of breeding populations and a significant decline in reproductive capabilities, further widening the supply gap. Under the dual pressures of rising demand and declining supply, the prices of NHP laboratory animals have surged. Although the cyclical downturn in the biopharmaceutical industry in recent years has lowered the demand for NHP laboratory animals to some extent, leading to significant price drops, the prices remain high. At the same time, against the backdrop of high prices, issues such as the accelerating aging of breeding populations, the lower standards for microbial quality control, insufficient genetic quality control, and blind investment in facility construction have emerged within the NHP laboratory animal industry. This report provides a comprehensive review of the history and current status of China's NHP laboratory animal industry, with a focus on laboratory monkeys. It explores the factors shaping the current industry landscape and identifies potential challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Tn order to explore the influence of met a kaolin on foam concrete, foamed concrete with d ry density of 600 kg/m³ was prepared, The effects of met a kaolin on the fluidity. 28-day compressive and flexural strength, water absorption and softening coefficient of foamed concrete were studied by replacing cement with different mass fractions (6%, 12%, 18%, 24%, 30%) of metakaolin. The changes of phase composition, pore structure and microstructure were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The test and research results show that metakaolin can significantly improve the compressive strength of foamed concrete, and the best content of flexural strength, water absorption and softening coefficient is 12%, which can be explained by the mutual reflection and improvement mechanism of phase analysis and micro morphology. Microstructure analysis shows that metakaolin has a positive effect on foam concrete by improving compactness and pore structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND: Effective surgical fixation should be performed for patients with ulnar coronoid fractures with unstable elbow joint. When the coronoid fracture fragment is large, there are more internal fixation materials, such as microplates, steel wires, screws, and anchors. However, when the fracture fragment is small, choosing the appropriate internal fixation device is a difficult problem OBJECTIVE: To explore the stability of modified threaded Kirschner wire in the treatment of ulnar coronoid process fracture using finite element analysis. METHODS: Thin layer 128-row CT was applied to scan the elbow of one healthy male volunteer. Ulnar coronoid process Regan-Morrey II type fracture model was established using the software such as Mimics 21.0. The models of ordinary Kirschner wire (1.2 mm) and modified threaded Kirschner wire (1.2 mm) were established by Unigraphics NX 10.0 software. The above three kinds of model data were imported into ANSYS Workbench software to generate the ulnar coronoid process Regan-Morrey II type fracture model of ordinary Kirschner wire fixation (ordinary wire group) and the ulnar coronoid process Regan-Morrey II type fracture model of modified threaded Kirschner wire fixation (threaded wire group). The anti-pull-out simulation test, anti-horizontal displacement simulation test and anti-rotational displacement simulation test were carried out for both groups of models. The displacement and stress changes of fracture blocks were recorded, and the variation curves were plotted and Mises stress nephogram was obtained. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) In the anti-pull-out simulation test, the maximum displacement and the maximum stress of the ordinary wire group were 3.96 mm and 93.2 N, respectively. The maximum displacement and the maximum stress of threaded wire group were 0.20 mm and 177.6 N, respectively. The stress distribution of the threaded wire group was slightly more concentrated than that of the ordinary wire group. (2) In the anti-horizontal displacement simulation test, the maximum displacement and the maximum stress of the ordinary wire group were 0.55 mm and 199.2 N, respectively. The maximum displacement and maximum stress of the threaded wire group were 0.05 mm and 573.7 N, respectively. The stress distribution of the threaded wire group was slightly more concentrated than that of the ordinary wire group. (3) In the anti-rotational displacement simulation test, the maximum displacement and the maximum stress of the ordinary wire group were 3.75 mm and 332.2 N, respectively. The maximum displacement and the maximum stress of the threaded wire group were 0.25 mm and 225.6 N, respectively. The stress distribution of the threaded wire group was slightly more concentrated than that of the ordinary wire group. Asparagus officinalis Linn is known as the “king of vegetables” because of its high nutritional value and many functions such as moistening lung, relieving cough, eliminating phlegm, inhibiting the growth of tumor and so on. However, prevailing occurrence of stem blight brings severe impact on asparagus, it has been a destructive disease to asparagus and is commonly known as "Asparagus cancer". It is of great significance for the formulation of control strategies to know the biological characteristics and genetic polymorphism of the disease. In this paper, the taxonomic characteristics of Phomopsis asparagi from the aspects of historical evolution of taxonomic status, host range, morphological identification, and molecular biological identification were introduced. Furthermore, the name of the fungus was clarified as Phomopsis asparagi, but not Phoma asparagi. The difference of growth rate of different Phomopsis asparagi strains was introduced from the aspects of colony diameter and hypha dry weight. The pathogenicity of Phomopsis asparagi was introduced from pathogenicity test and pathogenicity comparison of strains from different regions. Genetic polymorphism law of strains of Phomopsis asparagi from different regions was introduced from the aspects of pathogenicity-based genetic polymorphismrDNA ITS-based genetic polymorphism, and ISSR-based genetic polymorphism. In the southeast coastal areas of China, typhoon-rainfall-induced landslide disasters occur frequently during the flood season each year, which poses a great threat to local people's lives and property. The risk assessment of individual slopes is of great importance for geologic disaster management and prevention. We carried out field surveys, engineering geological drilling, and soil mechanics tests on the north slope of Shiyang Town. The slope stability was discussed in combination with the meteorological data under different rainfall conditions. By using the Monte Carlo method the statistical characteristics of the slope safety factor were calculated. Based on the slope failure probability, the vulnerability of the hazard-bearing body was analyzed, and the risk values for buildings and people under different rainfall conditions were quantitatively calculated. The results show that with the increase in rainfall intensity, the probability of landslide increases, and its risk value increases as well. The risk under extremely heavy rain is the highest, with 94 people per year, and the economic risk is 141 million yuan per year.
