- Abstract
Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of humanistic care ability of nursing students, and to provide some theoretical basis for effectively improving their humanistic care ability and mental health level. Methods In November 2021,a total of 280 nursing students were included in a medical university using the convenience sampling method, and conducted a questionnaire on humanistic care ability and subjective well-being. Results The total score of Caring Ability Inventory and its three dimensions scores in 267 nursing students were lower than that from the international norms. The comparison of humanistic care ability of nursing students in different gender, origin and teacher-student relationship was statistically significant (P <0.05).The difference of subjective well-being of nursing students of different gender and teacher-student relationship showed statistical significance (P <0.05). Subjective well-being and teacher-student relationship were all positively correlated with humanistic care ability (P <0.05). Subjective well-being, teacher-student relationship, grade and gender had a certain direct prediction of humanistic care ability, with a predictive power of 17.7%.Conclusion Medical colleges should take various effective ways to strengthen the education of mental health, especially humanistic care education, in order to enhance the care consciousness, improve the care ability of nursing students.
