Objective To explore the effect of linalotide combined with polyethylene glycol electrolytes powder (PEG) on intestinal preparation before colonoscopy in patients with constipation. Methods A total of 175 patients who underwent colonoscopy in the hospital from January to December 2022 were selected, including 58 cases in the control group.59 cases in the study group A, and 58 cases in the study group B. The Boston bowel preparation scale (BBPS) scores, incidence of adverse reactions, willingness to repeat, satisfaction with bowel preparation, and disease detection rate were compared among the three groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the total score of BBPS among the three groups (P > 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in BBPS score of left colon between the study group B and the control group ( P > 0 ), but compared with study group A, the difference was statistically significant P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the detection rate of lesions among the three groups ( P > 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions (excluding abdominal pain and fatigue) in the control group was higher than that in the study group A and the study group B, with statistically significant difference ( P < 0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference between the study group A and the study group B(P > 0.05) The satisfaction with bowel preparation and willingness to repeat in the study group A and the study group B were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference between the study group A and the study group B(P > 0.05). Conclusion For constipation groups with difficulty in intestinal preparation, the combination of linalotide and PEG regimen has good intestinal cleaning effects, low incidence of adverse reactions, and can improve patient satisfaction and tolerance.
