Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) is one of the most common complications of advanced malignant diseases. The patients with MPE have a short survival time and poor prognosis. Clinical therapeutic measures have greatly improved with the deepened exploration of the mechanisms of MPE. Diagnosis hinges on cytology, which is typically based on pleural fluid aspiration or pleural biopsy. Although numerous interventions exist, local palliative treatment is favored for the treatment of MPE. Such treatment aims to alleviate symptoms, such as aggravated dyspnea, and prolong survival time. As molecular targeted therapies and immunotherapies have developed, new diagnostic procedures and treatments have become available for patients with MPE. The recent discovery of the progrowth property of pleural fluid which may be an active promoter of cancer progression suggests that early intervention for the management of MPE may have a positive effect on inhibiting cancer progression and improving prognosis. In coming years, considerable effort should be directed at sophisticated biomarker analysis to select appropriate treatment strategies for the management of MPE. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To explore the causal relationship between hypothyroidism and the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) by two-sample Mendelian randomization study. Methods Based on the association analysis data at the whole genome level, the exposure was hypothyroidism and the outcome was coronary heart disease. Random effect IVW method, MR-Egger method, and weighted median method were used for two sample Mendelian randomized analysis, and heterogeneity test, horizontal multiplicity analysis, and sensitivity analysis were carried out. Results The results of random effect IVW methodL, weighted median methodL, and MR-Egger regression were 1.137 (95%CZ: 1.070-1209), 1.117 (95%CI: 1.028-1.214), and 1.194 (95%CZ: 1,020-1398), respectively, indicating that hypothyroidism was a risk factor for coronary heart disease with a positive causal correlation between them. Academic circles have long ignored the problems of inadequate and unbalanced housing development in medium-sized cities. Based on data from the sixth and seventh national population censuses of Zhaoqing City, this study constructed the resident housing evaluation system focusing on four sub-systems: construction age, building structure, per capita floor area, and housing living facilities. Through global and local spatial autocorrelation analyses, the spatial-temporal differentiation pattern of residents' housing conditions in Zhaoqing City from 2010 to 2020 was described. An OLS regression model was used to identify the influencing factors of the comprehensive score of residents' housing conditions, revealing the driving mechanisms of the evolution of the spatial pattern of housing conditions. The results show that 1) From 2010 to 2020, the spatial difference characteristics of the housing conditions of residents in Zhaoqing City showed obvious changes, with the high score area shifting from southeast to northwest. 2) The housing conditions of residents showed significant spatial agglomeration characteristics. The spatial agglomeration degree of the overall housing condition score did not change much in the past 10 years, while the spatial agglomeration degree of the construction age, building structure, and housing living facilities scores decreased significantly. 3) In 2020, the housing conditions of urban residents and rural residents presented different spatial differentiation patterns. The per capita floor area subsystem of rural housing dominates the spatial differentiation pattern of housing conditions for all residents in the city. 4) Regarding driving mechanisms, early urban forms constitute the historical basis of the spatial pattern of housing conditions in Zhaoqing City. Government policies and planning are the key driving forces shaping the evolution of spatial patterns, and the filtering effect of the housing market further strengthens the established spatial pattern. Based on these findings, the study proposes the following policy implications for Zhaoqing City: 1) Accelerate the upgrading of the industrial structure and new type urbanization construction, and encourage the city's agricultural migrant population and migrant workers to find jobs and settle down in the central city, development zone, and county; 2) Increase the supply of affordable housing with better housing quality in Zhaoqing New District and High-tech Zone to attract and retain highly skilled talents and college graduates; 3) Control the supply scale of residential land in the New District and High-tech Zone, increase the supply scale of industrial land, and expedite the introduction of strategic industries; 4) Conduct micro-transformations of old residential areas in the old urban areas, upgrade infrastructure and indoor living facilities, and improve the quality of the living environment. This study discusses the evolution trend and driving mechanisms of the spatial differentiation of housing conditions in small- and medium-sized cities and offers policy implications to comprehensively improve the housing conditions of Zhaoqing residents based on local conditions. This has significant reference value for promoting the optimization of housing conditions in small- and medium-sized cities and improving the overall living conditions of citizens. The provision of a high-quality ecological environment is essential for the quality of life of residents. As an important component of tlie urban ecological environment, the relationship between urban green spaces and public healtli requires further investigation. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the Chinese and international literature on how urban green spaces affect mental well-being. First, it introduces diflerent approaches of measuring tlie use of and exposure to urban green spaces. The most commonly used indicators for measuring the use and exposure to urban green spaces include Surrounding Greenness, Access to Green Spaces, Green Viewing Rate and Green Space Quality and Usage Satisfaction. The main advantages of Surrounding Greenness are wide spatial coverage, long timespan, and low cost; however, the accuracy of measuring exposure is relatively low. Researchers have extensively used access to green spaces. Because tlie bird's-eye perspective cannot fully reflect resident perceptions of park green spaces, scholars have used the green view ratio, which has the advantages of wide coverage, low cost, easy access, and small data deviation. Greenspace quality and usage satisfaction are also important measurement indicators, and tlieir main advantages are low operational difficulty and tlie ability to reflect residents' subjective evaluations more accurately. It then elucidates the "environmental stress reduction-restoration-instoration" lnechanisnis underlying the effect of urban green spaces on mental wellbeing. Specifically, urban green spaces can affect the mental health of residents by reducing the liann arising from heat and pollution, restoring capacity, and building capacity. Green spaces alleviate environmental pressure by purifying air, reducing noise, and alleviating the heat island effect, thereby promoting residents' mental wellbeing. People can alleviate tlieir psychological stress and restore tlieir ability to control attention by viewing green spaces, tliereby protecting tlieir mental healtli and providing a favorable and convenient venue for residents to conduct physical activities and socialize with their neighbors, which is beneficial to tlieir mental wellbeing. Subsequently, it illustrates the moderating effect of opportunities to use urban green spaces, motivation to use urban green spaces, and ease of using urban green spaces on mental wellbeing from a "socio-ecological" perspective. Finally, it indicates that the current body of literature has several limitations and that future research agendas should be centered on research content, data, perspectives, and metliods. Specifically, (1) for research content, the effect of green spaces on the mental well-being of different social and cultural groups is poorly understood. Therefore, it is necessary to strengtlien the analysis of the sociocultural mechanism of the eflect of urban green spaces to enrich the existing research framework. (2) Most previous studies used one method to measure the level of greenspace exposure or usage. It is advisable to use a variety of methods to measure tlie level of greenspace exposure or usage both subjectively and objectively. (3) From a research perspective, most previous studies have used a research paradigm based on local and static analysis, failing to solve tlie Uncertain Geographic Context Problem (UGCoP). Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a human-centered perspective and accurately measure the impact of green space exposure on residents' mental well-being in tlieir residential neighborhoods, workplaces, and otlier activity spaces. (4) Researchers need to solve the problem of residential self-selection when investigating the effect of urban green spaces on mental well-being and explore nonlinear complex relationships using advanced metliods such as machine learning. Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system mediated by humoral immunity. It is characterized by inflammatory demyelination of the spinal cord and optic nerve, which may lead to paralysis and blindness. In addition to traditional immunosuppressants, more and more new drugs are used in the treatment of NMOSD, such as rituximab and inebilizumab targeting B cells, tocilizumab and satralizumab inhibiting interleukin-6 receptor and eculizumab blocking complement mediated cytotoxicity and secondary inflammation. In recent years, the results of several randomized clinical trials of these monoclonal antibody drugs have been published. This paper will review the research progress of these targeted drugs in the treatment of NMOSD from the aspects of the mechanism of action, efficacy and adverse reactions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[ Objectives ] The purpose of this study was to screen resistant cultivars for black spot disease resistance breeding. [ Methods] The tissue block separation method was used to separate and purify the pathogens of black spot disease. The morphological identification of pathogenic conidia was observed by microscope, and then molecular level identification was used to fungal 18S rDNAITS sequence. Based on the identification results of pathogens of black spot disease, 38 cultivars chrysanthemum for tea were inoculated and identified. The characteristics of leaf epidermal trichomes and stomata structure were observed by scanning electron microscope. [ Results] The strains of Fl6 and F20 were isolated from black spot disease leaves of ' Fubaiju', and both two strains were Alternaria alternate. The pathogenicity test showed that both Fl6 and F20 could cause black spot disease of chrysanthemum for tea, and both of them had strong pathogenicity and no significant difference in pathogenicity. The identification results of 38 cultivars showed that there were 11 resistant cultivars ( accounting for 28. 95%), 22 moderately susceptible cultivars ( accounting for 57. 89%), and 5 susceptible cultivars( accounting for 13.16%). By further comparing the differences in leaf structure characteristics of typical resistant and susceptible cultivars, the results showed that the epidermal trichomes density of resistant cultivars was generally greater than susceptible cultivars and the stomatal density was less than that of susceptible cultivars. [ Conclusions] This study screened out some resistant cultivars to black spot disease and found that the epidermal trichomes and stomatal density were related to their resistance. Objective To investigate the etiology of liver diseases with negative hepatotropic virus, and to provide ideas for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data and liver biopsy results of 113 patients with negative hepatotropic virus who were admitted to The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from July 2018 to December 2019. According to sex, they were divided into male group with 41 patients and female group with 72 patients, and according to age, they were divided into youth group with 42 patients, middle - aged group with 56 patients, and elderly group with 15 patients. The chi - square test was used for comparison of categorical data between groups. Results Among the 113 patients with negative hepatotropic virus, 111(98.23%) were given a confirmed diagnosis, among whom 43 (38. 05%) were diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (N AFLD), 40 (3 5. 40%) were diagnosed with drug - induced liver in jury (DILI), 16 (14.15 %) had autoimmune liver disease (AILD), 8(7. 08%) had alcoholic liver disease, 3 (2. 65%) had biliary disease, and 1 (0. 88%) had diseases in other systems which involved the liver. Among the male patients, 53.49% had NAFLD, 100% had ALD, and 15% had DILI, while among the female patients, 85% had DILI, 46. 51% had NAFLD, and 93. 75% had AILD. For DILI, there were significantly more female patients than male patients (x 2 = 40. 000, P < 0. 001), and for AILD, there were also significantly more female patients than male patients (x² = 12. 250, P < 0. 001) . In the youth group, NAFLD (55.81%), DILI (20%), and ALD (75%) were the main causes of disease, and DILI was the main cause in the middle - aged group and the elderly group. Among the patients with NAFLD, there were significantly more patients in the youth group than in the elderly group (x² = 16. 333, P <0. 001); among the patients with DILI, there were significantly more patients in the middle - aged group than in the youth group (x² = 8. 000, P = 0. 005); among the patients with AILD, there were significantly more patients in the middle - aged group than in the youth group (x² = 8. 333, P = 0.004). Conclusion Most liver diseases with negative hepatotropic virus can be diagnosed by liver biopsy, and NAFLD, DILI, and AILD are the main causes. Objective To explore the rapid nucleic acid detection of Cryptococcus neoformans by using recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) technology, and to establish the rapid point-of-care testing (POCT) method of Cryptococcus neoformans. Methods Six pairs of candidate primers were designed in the DNA region of Cryptococcus neoformans 5. 8SrRNA encoding region. ATCC32609 was used as reference strain for establishing RPA reaction system. Gel based RPA kit was used to screen out the primers for stable amplification of DNA fragment of Cryptococcus neoformans. The McF2. 0 suspension of ATCC32609 was diluted successively, then semi quantitative method was used to observe the amplification reaction of the positive primer + ATCC32609. The specificity of the reaction was verified by the positive primer + 150 negative control strains. DNA amplification was carried out by fluorescence RPA and oasig real-time fluorescence PCR to observe whether there was amplification reaction on the 10 clinical isolates of Cryptococcus neoformans and 100 clinical samples stored in the laboratory (including 50 cerebrospinal fluid, 15 sputum, 15 hydrothorax and ascites, 20 venous blood) Result Primers 2, 5, 6 had clear bands and no dispersion tail phenomenon. Primer amplification reaction was positive at 1: 105 level of ATCC32609 suspension. The primers 2, 5 and 6 belonged to DNA fragment of Cryptococcus neoformans en­coding ribosomal RNA. The coincidence rate was 100%. At the end of the real-time fluorescence reaction of the probe designed by primer 6, we saw the S-shaped positive amplification curve; the amplification results of all negative control strains were negative; after diluting ATCC 32609 suspension 1: 105, we could still see the positive amplification curve by adding primer 6 and the probe; after amplifying 10 new Cryptococcus strains with primer 6 and the corresponding probe, we saw the S-shaped positive amplification curve. Both fluorescence RPA and oasig real-time PCR showed positive in 40 samples among the 100 clinical samples. Conclusion The real-time fluorescent RPA is a convenient, rapid and accurate method for DNA detection of Cryptococcus neoformans. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
