Objective To analyze the value of iterative reconstruction measurement with spiral CT scanning in evaluating the curative effect of type Ⅲ naso-orbito-ethmoid fractures objectively. Methods From April 2018 to December 2022, a total of 12 patients with naso-orbital-ethmoid-fracture were selected from the Department of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University. By using the Mimics Medica software system, spiral CT iterative reconstruction was performed to measure the inner canthal distance, nasal root height, nasal height, nasal length, nasal width, nasal deviation and orbital volume before and after the surgery, and to evaluate the improvement of eyes and nose in appearance. Results There were significant improvement in nasal root height and nasal deviation after the surgery. The other indicators showed no significant difference before and after the surgery. Conclusions Mimic software system spiral CT iterative reconstruction and measurement could be used to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of open surgery for naso-orbital-ethmoid fracture and to improve the shape of eyes and nose. The facial nerve functions include movement of facial muscle, taste and gland secretion, etc. Its anatomical structure is complex, which is prone to injury and occur facial paralysis. The diagnosis and treatment of facial paralysis involve otorhinolaryngology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, neurology and other disciplines. The differences between disciplines, diagnosis and treatment technologies had produced a number of facial nerve grading systems. It is particularly important to evaluate the damage degree of facial nerve function uniformly, efficiently and accurately. The skin is the first line of defense against harmful influences for human. How to effectively repair tissue defect and reconstruct the skin barrier remain important issues for reconstructive surgery. To date, autologous skin grafting is commonly considered as the gold standard for the coverage of large skin defects. However, limited tissue source, donor site-availability, skin necrosis, and hyperpigmentation problems continue to be major clinical challenge. This study aims to review the new technologies of autologous skin grafting, factors associated with skin graft take rate and measures for improving the survival rate of skin grafts, the pathological change and treatment strategies for pigmentation of skin graft, so as to provide insight for future research of autologous skin graft.
