Objective To analyze the value of iterative reconstruction measurement with spiral CT scanning in evaluating the curative effect of type Ⅲ naso-orbito-ethmoid fractures objectively. Methods From April 2018 to December 2022, a total of 12 patients with naso-orbital-ethmoid-fracture were selected from the Department of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University. By using the Mimics Medica software system, spiral CT iterative reconstruction was performed to measure the inner canthal distance, nasal root height, nasal height, nasal length, nasal width, nasal deviation and orbital volume before and after the surgery, and to evaluate the improvement of eyes and nose in appearance. Results There were significant improvement in nasal root height and nasal deviation after the surgery. The other indicators showed no significant difference before and after the surgery. Conclusions Mimic software system spiral CT iterative reconstruction and measurement could be used to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of open surgery for naso-orbital-ethmoid fracture and to improve the shape of eyes and nose.
