В статье рассматривается концепция лингвистической безопасности как ответственное речевое поведение, имеющее особое значение в аспекте переводческой деятельности. The article deals with the fundamental problem of ensuring the linguistic security of translation discourse as a factor of social security. The authors consider the concept of linguistic security as responsible speech behavior which is of particular importance in the aspect of translation. This study analyzes the specific features of the translation of socio-political texts from the point of view of the conflictogenety of the target text and the ways to prevent it. It also considers the relationship between linguistic ecology and media linguistics in the light of practical translation and translation studies. The main purpose of the study is to prevent and eliminate conflict potential in the translation of a socio-political text.

It is especially important in view of the abundant information on space activities and its impact on public opinion in spacefaring nations and international communication. The aim of this paper is to expand the scope of stud-ies in political rhetoric to include speeches by the head of a space agency and to test the applicability of rhetorical criticism and rhetorical political analysis to such talks. The author has used two speeches by NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and analyzed them in terms of rhetorical context and the speaker's image, logical and pathetic proof, and rhetorical effects. The research is based on the study of the texts of public speeches of Theresa May as British Prime Minister. The study is per-formed in the tradition of cognitive-sociocommunicative research of national-cultural language semantics. The material has been selected and analyzed in accordance with the methods of contextual and conceptual analyses. The study also uses the communicative-pragmatic method of research. The authors reveal the main communicative strategies and tactics of a politi-cian, enhancing the verbal impact, and make up a speech portrait of a woman-politician. В статье рассматриваются особенности функционирования военных метафор на материале рождественских речей Хуана Карлоса I и Филиппа VI с 1975 по 2018 гг., War metaphor is widely used in various genres of political discourse due to its pragmatic potential. This article discusses the function of war metaphors in the Spanish King's Christmas Messages, which are one of the few occa-sions when the Head of State addresses the Spanish people on television. These speeches do not have any legal status and are considered direct communication between the king and his subjects. The texts issued by Juan Carlos I and Felipe VI from 1975 to 2018 follow the rules of classical oratory and have a lot in common semantically and lexically with that style of dis-course. У статті розглянуто історичні аспекти та чинники, що сприяли становленню TED, оскільки діяльність конференції не лише не втрачає свої позиції протягом тридцяти років, а продовжує набувати всесвітньої популярності. Проаналізовані джерела дали змогу виокремити ряд таких чинників, зокрема: збільшення кількості цікавих проектів та ініціатив, започаткованих TED, унікальність формату конференції; особливості добору спікерів, актуальність тем виступів, вимоги до виголошення промов, охоплення різних цільових аудиторій, залучення інноваційних технологій. The article discusses the historical aspects and factors that have contributed to the emergence of TED, as the conference has not only lost its position for thirty years, but continues to gain worldwide popularity. Technology Entertainment Design is a world-renowned conference whose mission is to spread thoughts, ideas that can motivate us to make personal and societal changes, that is, to inspire people from around the globe to make the world better. The emergence of TED as an international brand was facilitated by the fact that the areas of activity began to expand significantly due to the launch of new successful programs and initiatives: the TED Conference; TEDGlobal Conference; the annual TED Prize; open project ‘Translations’; open project ‘TV’; TED Fellows; TEDx conferences. TEDGlobal is a conference dedicated to human ingenuity through the study of ideas, innovations and creativity from around the world. The TEDx format invites individuals or groups of people to organize local, self-organized events around the world. The costs of this program include ongoing training and seminars for participants, as well as reaching out to new communities, as the main goal is to support this global international community. The TED Fellows project helps innovators from around the world become part of the TED community and with it help to achieve even greater success. The TED Youth and Education Initiative is TED-Ed, which aims to organize the exchange of interesting ideas and knowledge between teachers and students from around the world. The sources analyzed have highlighted a number of factors that contributed to the emergence of TED as a brand, namely: the increase in the number of interesting projects and initiatives launched by TED, the uniqueness of the conference format; peculiarities of the selection of speakers, the relevance of the topics of speeches, the requirements for speaking, the reach of various target audiences, the attraction of innovative technologies. В статье рассмотрены исторические аспекты и факторы, способствовавшие становлению TED, поскольку деятельность конференции не только не теряет свои позиции в течение тридцати лет, а продолжает приобретать всемирную популярность. Проанализированные источники позволили выделить ряд таких факторов, в частности: увеличение количества интересных проектов и инициатив, начатых TED, уникальность формата конференции; особенности отбора спикеров, актуальность тем выступлений, требования к произнесению речей, охват различных целевых аудиторий, привлечения инновационных технологий.
