С помощью метафор сложные мероприятия и задачи государственного уровня описываются наглядно, образно и доступно для аудитории. Depending on the topic of the conversation, the purpose of communication, the communicative situation and the audience, Xi Jinping uses different communication styles in his speeches - he either speaks firmly and seriously, or solemnly and inspiringly, or expressively and figuratively. .

The aim of the present article is to create and compile a set of lexico-grammatical means of expression of the category of persuasiveness in political discourse. The scope of the research includes persuasive strategies of American political discourse. The object of the study is made up of the lexico-grammatical means of implementation of persuasive speech strategies.

В статье рассматриваются методы исследования политических текстов с применением цифровых технологий. In recent years, research in the field of the humanities using digital technologies and materials of modern digital mass media has attracted wide attention of scientific circles and gained particular popularity. Digital humanities research and applied programs for them go beyond the traditional methods of scientific research and give a new impetus to interdisciplinary studies. This is demonstrated by political linguistics, which is rapidly developing as a new and independent branch of science, and its main research area is the study of political discourse. The analysis of texts of political discourse produced in different countries and by various politicians displays pronounced interdisciplinary properties. In this regard, it is particularly urgent to determine how texts of political discourse can be studied in the light of implementation of digital technologies in the humanities. This paper shows that the study of political discourse in the humanities using digital sources and means is not just a quantitative study, but a mixed study that takes into account qualitative and quantitative aspects.

В статье рассматривается смысловое содержание стратегии возрождения сельской местности Китая. The study of linguistic landscapes is most often based on materials from urban settlements, due to the high concentration of population, diverse objects and street signs, billboards and public signage of government buildings. At the same time, relatively few studies have been carried out on the linguistic landscapes of rural areas. This paper focuses on propaganda slogans posted in rural areas of mainland China. Three types of “rural revitalization” signage in China are chosen as examples. The article analyzes the development history and semantic content of the rural revitalization strategy. Using the method of multimodal metaphorical analysis, the authors analyze the specific features and regular patterns of language use in the real Chinese rural environment.

This paper studies translation adaptation of political metaphors based on the material of the Russian translation of the Report to the 20th CPC National Congress (hereinafter referred to as “the Report”). The aim of the study is to demonstrate the importance of translation adaptation while translating political metaphors, as well as to reveal the translation strategy of translating political metaphors into Russian and the communicative intentions of the Chinese government realized through it.

The means of realization of the tactic of separation from competitors are analyzed in the most significant speeches of Vladimir Putin from 2018 to 2021.

В статье с помощью технологии визуализации "CiteSpace" рассматривается проблема перевода текстов политического дискурса Китая. The article uses the visualization technology “CiteSpace 5.8” to review the history of research of the problem of translating texts of Chinese political discourse. The practical material of the analysis comprises 495 periodical articles in journals and 72 dissertations for the period 2012-2021 devoted to the translation of political discourse. The au-thors analyze the trends and topics that have caused a “surge of interest” in this area.

The paper examines how such a phenomenon as politics is categorized and metaphorized in twenty Englishes. The study also suggests different ways of using various methods of computer analysis when working with corpus data.

The aim of the article is to consider the pragmatic aspect of the use of euphemisms in political discourse. The research methods used in the interpretation of the textual material are descriptive-analytical method, contextual analysis and lexicographic analysis. The study of euphemisms used by politicians of the USA, Great Britain and Russia has allowed the author to identify various ways of euphemization at the lexical and syntactic levels of the language.

In today's telecommunications and information society, political communication plays an important role in governance. One of the effective methods of governance in the Chinese socialist society are slogans. The article analyzes the concept of collectivism in the public administration of the Chinese government on the example of the anti-epidemic linguistic landscape represented by slogans and analyzes calls for the manifestation of collectivism in anti-epidemic slogans.

В статье рассматривается концепция лингвистической безопасности как ответственное речевое поведение, имеющее особое значение в аспекте переводческой деятельности. The article deals with the fundamental problem of ensuring the linguistic security of translation discourse as a factor of social security. The authors consider the concept of linguistic security as responsible speech behavior which is of particular importance in the aspect of translation. This study analyzes the specific features of the translation of socio-political texts from the point of view of the conflictogenety of the target text and the ways to prevent it. It also considers the relationship between linguistic ecology and media linguistics in the light of practical translation and translation studies. The main purpose of the study is to prevent and eliminate conflict potential in the translation of a socio-political text.

Анализируются способы текстовой репрезентации, возможности содержательной интерпретации и воздействующий потенциал ключевых идеологем президентского дискурса Н.А. Назарбаева 2012–2019 гг. «Социальная модернизация» и «Общество Всеобщего Труда» в когнитивно-прагматическом, семиотическом и психолингвистическом аспектах. С опорой на труды основоположников политической лингвистики уточняются терминологический аппарат и методика анализа лексической структуры политического текста в когнитивно-прагматическом аспекте. Результаты исследования верифицируются на основании данных серии психолингвистических экспериментов.

Terminological vocabulary is an integral part of the speech of state leaders at international events, so its translation is very important for relevant understanding of the ideology and opinions of the state leader by other actors in the international community.The article focuses on the study of the peculiarities of the political translation terminology from Chinese into Russian. The object of the study is the translation strategies used in translating political terms. The purpose of the article is to analyze the specific features of the terms of political translation. The research methodology is based on the principles of cognitive linguistics, interdisciplinarity and comprehensive analysis. Based on the principles of cognitive translation, the article explores political terminology in the Russian translation of President Xi Jinping's speech at the World Economic Forum in 2022 and analyzes the translation strategies used.

В статье рассматривается модель формирования речевого имиджа современной политической элиты Французской Республики через анализ интерпретативной составляющей политического дискурса. The article examines the phenomenon of political malapropisms - statements of politicians which have come to the attention of the media and the public opinion. Such malapropisms, interpreted as phraseological-parоemic units of political discourse, constitute, in the author's view, the subject of political phraseology and paroemiology. The article provides their functional typological and characterological description in accordance with the principle of communicative relevance, comism and adequacy of speech deontology.

The article looks at translation as a process of translator's mental activity. Based on the main ideas of the cognitive and interpretive theories, the author considers the specific features of translations of political speeches of state leaders from Chinese into Russian. The original and the Russian translation of the text of Xi Jinping's speech at the ceremonial meeting on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the CPC make up practical material of research.

In In recent years linguopoltical studies have focused primarily on political communication behaviour. This article seeks to systematize typological studies as applied to political personality characteristics research and to analyse types of communicative behaviours of political leaders by describing communicative context and language means that politicians use in their speech. Communicative context is viewed as the cornerstone in the analysis of the “roles” that politicians pragmatically choose in delivering their opinion to the public. A quantitative analysis of David Cameron's and Boris Jonson's communications has been verified through the words count technique available via a web-based corpus linguistics software Sketch Engine.

On November 11, 2021, the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted the “Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party's Hundred Years of Struggle” (hereinafter referred to as the Resolution). As an important document passed at the confluence of the “two centenary” goals, the Resolution has an extraordinary historical status. It conveys the party's ruling ideology and expresses the political concept of China's new leadership through political metaphors, thereby realizing communication between the country and the people.

В статье рассматривается политический концепт, который является ключевым лингвистическим инструментом в формировании глобального и регионального лидерства и становится наиболее перспективным объектом исследования в рамках политической лингвистики. The political concepts rooted in the culturally specific psychology, collective memory, religious beliefs and historical traditions, are sure to influence political communication and facilitate the formation of legitimacy of state power on the non-linguistic level.This article examines the role of political concepts in shaping global and regional leadership. It is noted that as an important discursive element characterizing, expressing and manifesting the basic values of the state, the political concept is the key linguistic tool for the formation of global and regional leadership and becomes the most promising object of research within the framework of political linguistics. The article suggests looking at this phenomenon through the prism of the discursive field within the SCO created by Russia as a way of fixing new concepts oriented towards the regional leadership of the country. It is shown that Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken the initiative of conceptualization of the process of formation of the “Great Eurasian Partnership”. Through the intersubjective interpretation of this political concept by way of formation of discursive acts it influences the discursive construction of the adoption of the idea of Eurasian economic integration by the member states. This explains the peculiarities of the discourse and the interests of the Russian Federation within the SCO.
