Статья посвящена обзору самой знаменитой и оригинальной китайской классической книги «Чжоу И» («Книги Перемен»). Актуальность работы заключается в том, что содержательная ценность «Чжоу И» давно и всестороннее изучена китайскими учёными, однако для читателей, не владеющих китайским языком, многие аспекты уникальной классической книги остаются малоизвестными. Показано, что текст «Чжоу И» гораздо более содержательный, чем комбинации гексаграмм для гаданий. Авторы статьи указывают, что «Чжоу И» использовали для обсуждения многих культурно-правовых вопросов. В «Книге Перемен» содержатся записи о проблемах упорядочивания вопросов собственности и других имущественных отношений. Такое обсуждение способствовало не только урегулированию вопросов управления имуществом, но и закрепляло древнюю традицию следования путём морали и добродетели. В статье представлено, что сфера брачно-семейных отношений, основанная на обряде помолвки и нашедшая отражение в «Книге Перемен», легла в основу всей будущей брачной системы Китая на многие поколения вперёд. Авторы показывают, что отдельная глава «Чжоу И» посвящена правилам наследования дел. Именно в данном разделе «Книги Перемен» говорится о том, что в Китае основополагающим принципом становится наследование по мужской линии. В данной статье подчёркивается, что большое внимание в «Книге Перемен» уделяется формам, видам и способам исполнения наказания, а также системе приведения доказательств. В статье подчёркнуто значение социальных и культурно-правовых ценностей «Чжоу И», во многом обусловивших специфику правовой системы Китая.

'Civilization in Transition' was the theme of the JAP conference in 2021, and also the reality we are facing today, especially amidst the pandemic of COVID-19. From an oriental perspective, within the context of Psychology of the Heart, the author presents his thoughts in this paper, 'Civilization within the heart: the image and meaning of "civilization" and "culture" in Chinese characters'. The meaning of the heart is at the core of Chinese culture, as well as Chinese philosophy and psychology. Most of the basic psychological terms in Chinese characters are formed originally with the images of the heart; even the Chinese character for 'culture' and 'civilization'. C.G. Jung learned Chinese characters, and named them with I Ching symbols as readable archetypes. Today in world affairs we are confronted with highly turbulent and uncertain conditions that threaten any sense of coherent meaning, both personally and collectively. Jung's insights gained from the I Ching and his reflections on analytical psychology are still inspiring us. The images and meaning of the hexagrams which C.G. Jung used: 'Ting' (The Cauldron), 'Bi' (Grace), and 'Chin' (Progress), are the main threads of this paper and presentation, 'Civilization within the Heart', responding to the theme 'Civilization in Transition'. As analytical psychology in China develops, especially with the China Society for Analytical Psychology approved for membership in the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), many Chinese, who are already familiar with MBTI®-based personality testing in corporations, are interested in learning more about Jungian theory and practice with regard to psychological types. The author, a Chinese psychologist, emphasizes current problems standing in the way of this development, such as the common opinion that MBTI is equal to psychological types. He reports his recent research that highlights the present understanding of psychological types within China. Noting that Jung combined two attitudes with four functions to form eight function-attitudes of consciousness, the author explores the possible connection between Jung's eightfold system and the eight trigrams that organize the wisdom that the I Ching brings to emergent situations requiring exceptionally conscious decision-making. He compares I Ching translator Richard Wilhelm's naming and description of these eight Gua with Jungian analyst John Beebe's descriptions of the eight function-attitudes and finds striking parallels. The Yijing (Book of Changes) occupied a very significant position in C.G. Jung's mind, which was closely related to Richard Wilhelm's active recommendation and introduction of the Yijing wisdom. Inspired by the Yijing, Jung set forth the 'principle of synchronicity', by which scholars tend to discuss the relationship between Yijing and Jungian psychology. In fact, Jungian analytical psychology conceives in-depth onto-cosmological connotations corresponding to the philosophy of the Yijing. The terms invented or employed by Jung such as 'archetype', 'Self', 'individuation', 'mandala,' 'anima and animus', 'persona and shadow' are interrelated with the connotations of Taiji (Supreme Ultimate) (○) and liang yi (two-mode) () in the Yijing philosophy. A comparative study of the two disciplines can help us gain a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of both, and further improve the exchanges of Eastern and Western cultures.
