In other words, it means to explore the ways and the methods to achieve eunoia, that is, "good thinking", "having a well-balanced mind" and finally "goodwill" and "kindness". For this reason, philosophy is the knowledge, wisdom and method of holistic thinking and action. Benefiting from the results of every science that studies all intellectual, emotional and behavioural accumulation of humanity individually within their borders, by their own methods, stems from the nature of this holistic approach of philosophy.

Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease and has complex mechanisms, which brings the need to come up with different approaches for its various types. Erbin is a member of the LAP family and directly interacts with ErbB2 (HER2), which is a crucial component for breast cancer sub-typing and treatment. Research on the relationship between Erbin and breast cancer showed different results since Erbin was seen to be able to act as both a tumor suppressor and a tumor promoter. There are multiple findings that Erbin has a role in the epithelial to mesenchymal transition in different cancer types. The role of Erbin in EMT is said to be multi-faceted, it affects multiple pathways that act on EMT progress. However, like Erbin’s contradictory role in breast cancer, there are different findings that support the conflicting claims on whether Erbin is an EMT promoter or not. These findings in the literature lead us to analyze how Erbin affects EMT in breast cancer. To investigate if there is a role of Erbin in EMT regulation, we have overexpressed Erbin in MCF7 and silenced Erbin in MDA-MB-231 with MDA-66 cell lines. With this experimental setup, we aimed to see how Erbin plays a role in EMT in both epithelial and mesenchymal cells as well as Luminal A, TNBC, and ER positive breast cancer types. Our results showed that in TGFB induced EMT, Erbin levels are decreased in epithelial cells. Erbin overexpressed MCF7 cells show significant changes in the EMT markers compared to the control group. Experiments conducted with Erbin silenced MDA-MB-231 and MDA-66 cells also demonstrated significant changes in EMT marker levels. Our results suggest that Erbin has a role in EMT in breast cancer, and this role is not limited to one pathway and not streamlined, but possibly a big orchestration of different effects. by Filiz Şahin M.S.

IX-XIVth centuries are known the Islam Renaissance. At the same time, this period is called the Age of Farabism, so it is named after Farabi, a Turkic Philosopher. This was the First Turkic Renaissance. Farabi systemized the Philosophy of Greek by reinterpreting it with the idea of Islam and Turkic with his versatile thoughts and competence in all sciences of his era. it is also XII-XVIth Century that all Turkic thinkers were influenced and inspired by the Farabism era. The Turkic thought was also inspired by the century. The inspiration was the basis for foundation philosophy of the Republic of Turkey in 1923. This was the third Turkic Renaissance. The first Renaissance is called by Farabi’s name, the latter by the Turkic sufis and their mystical philosophy, and the third is referred to Ataturk Revoulutions. The period from Farabi to the foundation of the Republic, takes the three Turkic Renaissance that we owe to Farabi.

Yapılan bu çalışmada koruma altında bulunan çocuklarda spor etkinliklerine katılımın psikolojik ve duygusal iyi oluş ile öfke tarzları üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya Burdur ilinde bulunan çocuk evlerinde yaşayan 36 çocuk katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan çocuklar deney ve kontrol grubu olarak iki gruba ayrılmış, deney grubunda bulunan çocuklar spor eğitim programına katılmış, bu süreçte kontrol grubunda bulunan çocuklar herhangi bir spor etkinliğine katılmamıştır. Araştırmaya katılan çocukların duygusal ve psikolojik yapılarının incelenmesinde Liddle ve Carter (2015) tarafından geliştirilen, Akın vd,(2016) tarafındn Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılmış olan `Stirling Çocuklar İçin Duygusal ve Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan çocukların öfke tarzlarının belirlenmesinde ise Spielberger ve diğerleri (1983) tarafından geliştirilen ve Özer (1994) tarafından Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan `Sürekli Öfke ve Öfke Tarzı Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde SPSS programı kullanılmış, veriler normal dağılım gösterdiği için parametrik testlerden T test analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda deney ve kontrol grubunda bulunan çocukların ön-son test duygusal ve psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir (p>0.05). Benzer şekilde çocukların ön-son test öfke tarzları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık meydana gelmediği bulunmuştur (p>0.05). Elde edilen bulgulara göre koruma altında bulunan çocuklarda spora katılımın duygusal ve psikolojik iyi oluş ile öfke tarzları üzerinde anlamlı bir değişim oluşturmadığı söylenebilir. In this study constructed, it was aimed to determine the effects of participation in sports activities on psychological and emotional well-being and anger styles in children under guard. 36 children who live in children 's houses in Burdur participated in the study. The children who participated in the study were divided into two groups as experimental and control groups, the children in the experimental group participated in the sports training program, and the children in the control group did not participate in any sports activities. The Stirling Emotional and Psychological Well-being Scale for Children, which was developed by Liddle and Carter (2015) and validated and reliability study by Akın et al. (2016), was used to the emotional and psychological structures of the children participating in the study. To determine the anger styles of the children participating in the study, `Trait Anger and Anger Style Scale geliştiril which was developed by Spielberger et al was used. SPSS program was used in the statistical analysis of the data obtained from the study, since the data showed normal distribution, parametric tests and T test analysis were used. At the end of the study, it was found that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre-post test emotional and psychological well-being of the children in the experimental and control groups (p> 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p> 0.05). According to the data obtained, it can be said that participation in sports does not cause a significant change in emotional and psychological well-being and anger styles in children under guard 89

Teknoloji hızla gelişmekte ve bu gelişmeyle insanlara hayatlarını kolaylaştıran birçok teknolojik ürün sunulmaktadır. Teknolojinin bilinçsizce kullanımından dolayı yaşanılan olumsuzluklar da birçok bilim adamı tarafından araştırılmaktadır. Bütün bu araştırmalar göz önüne alındığında teknolojinin ortaya çıkardığı sorunlardan en önemlisi okul çağındaki çocuklar ve ergenlerde aşırı internet kullanımı ve bilgisayar oyunu oynama durumudur. Bağımlılık seviyesindeki internet kullanımı ve bilgisayar oyunları, okul çağındaki çocukların sosyal davranışlarını olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu durumda da bu çocukların akademik başarılarının düştüğü görülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, bilinçsiz internet kullanımı ve bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığının üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli öğrencilerin okul sosyal durumlarınyla ilişkisini incelemektir. Bu sebeple 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli tanısı almış ve bu tanıyla İstanbul ilinde bulunan eğitim programları/atölyelerde eğitim gören ilköğretim düzeyinde 157 üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli öğrenci ve onların 16 öğretmeni ile çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırma içerisinde yer alan öğrenciler, kabul gördükleri üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli eğitim programlarına kabulleri için WISC-R testinden geçip üstün zekalı ve yetenekli tanısını almış olup, çalışma içerisinde bilgisayar oyunları ve internet bağımlılıklarının ölçülmesi için Bilgisayar Oyun Oynama Düzeyi Ölçeği cevaplamışlardır. Eğitim veren öğretmenler ise üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli öğrencileri için Okul Sosyal Davranış Ölçeğini tamamlamışlardır. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkeni üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli öğrencilerin okul sosyal davranışları oluştururken, bağımsız değişkenini ise internet ve bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığıdır. Üstün zekâlı tanısı almış 157 öğrenci ve onların 16 öğretmeni ile yapılan çalışma sonucunda istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark olduğu bulunmuş; araştırma bulgularına göre bilinçsiz internet kullanımının ve bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığının, üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli çocukların okul sosyal davranışlarını etkilediği ortaya konmuştur. Bu araştırmanın akademik anlamda ilerleyen dönemler için üstün zekâlı ve yetenekli çocukların davranış problemlerini anlamak ve önlem almak adına örnek bir çalışma olduğu düşünülmektedir. Within the study, it has been worked with 157 highly intelligent and skilled primary school students and their 16 teachers. Social behaviours of the students are defined as dependent variable of the research whereas internet and computer game addiction is independent variable. Findings have shown that unconscious usage of internet and computer game addiction have severe effects on school social behaviours of highly intelligent and skilled students. Günümüzde teknolojinin gelişmesiyle enerji depolama mekanizmalarının geliştirilmesi önemli bir hale gelmiştir. Enerji depolama aygıtı olarak süperkapasitörler son yıllarda dikkatleri çekmiştir. Süperkapasitörlerin performansı elektrot malzemelerine bağlıdır. Bu çalışmada karbon kumaş üzerine elektropolimerizasyon ile politiyofen kaplanarak CC@PTy elektrodu hazırlanmıştır. CC@PTy elektrodun kapasitif özellikleri incelendiğinde spesifik kapasitansı 11,67 F/g olarak bulunmuştur. CC@PTy elektrot elektrokimyasal yöntemle Co(OH)2, Ni(OH)2 ve Co/Ni(OH)2 kaplanmış ve CC@ PTy@Co(OH)2, CC@ PTy@Ni(OH)2, CC@PTy@Co/Ni(OH)2 elektrotlar elde edilmiştir. Bu elektrotların elektrokimyasal karakterizasyonu 1 M KOH çözeltisi içerisinde CV, galvanostatik şarj-deşarj (GCD) ve elektrokimyasal empedans (EIS) yöntemleri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. CC@ PTy@Co(OH)2 elektrodu için spesifik kapasitans 8 mA'de 213 F/g, CC@ PTy@Ni(OH)2 elektrodu için 5 mV/s tarama hızında 857 F/g, CC@PTy@Co/Ni(OH)2 elektrodu için 10 mV/s tarama hızında 500 F/g olarak bulunmuştur. Metal hidroksit kaplı elektrotlar, 450 oC iki saat süreyle kalsine edilerek karşılık olan oksit elektrotlar elde edilmiştir. Bu elektrotların spesifik kapasitansları hesaplanmış, CC@PTy@CoO elektrodun ki 5 mV/s tarama hızında spesifik kapasitansı 2414 F/g, CC@PTy@NiO elektrodun 5 mV/s tarama hızında 743 F/g, CC@PTy@Co/NiO elektrodun 5 mV/s 1335 F/g olarak bulunmuştur. Hidroksit kaplı elektrotlar kalsine edilerek oksitlere dönüştürüldüğünde spesifik kapasitanslarının arttığı görülmüştür. With the development of technology today, the development of energy storage mechanisms has become important. Supercapacitors as energy storage devices have attracted attention in recent years. The performance of supercapacitors depends on the electrode materials. In this study, CC@PTy electrode was prepared by polythiophene coating on the carbon cloth with electropolymerization. The specific capacitance of the CC@PTy electrode was found to be 11.67 F/g as its capacitive properties were examined. CC@PTy electrode was electrochemically coated with Co(OH)2, Ni(OH)2 and Co/Ni(OH)2, CC@PTy@Co(OH)2, CC@PTy@Ni@Co/Ni(OH)2 electrodes were obtained. The electrochemical characterization of these electrodes was carried out using CV, galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) and electrochemical impedance (EIS) methods in 1 M KOH solution. The specific capacitance found for CC@PTy@Co(OH)2 electrode is 213 F/g at 8 mA, for CC@PTy@Ni(OH)2 electrode is 857 F/g at a scan rate of 5 mV/s and for CC@PTy@Co/Ni(OH)2 electrode is 500 F/g at a scan rate of 10 mV/s. The hydroxide coated electrodes were calcined at 450 °C for two hours and the corresponding electrodes were obtained. The specific capacitances of the electrodes were estimated as follows; 2414 F/g at 5 mV/s scan rate for CC@PTy@CoO electrode, 743F/g at 5 mV/s scan rate for CC@PTy@NiO electrode, 1335 F/g at 5 mV/s scan rate for CC@PTy@Co/NiO electrode. It was observed that the specific capacitances increased when the the hydroxide coated electrodes converted into their corresponding oxides by calcination. 96

Antenatal dönemde ultrasonografinin (US) kullanımının yaygınlaşması ile hidronefrozlu olguların tanınmasında dramatik değişiklikler olmuştur. Antenatal hidronefroz (AH) tanısı alan bir olguda hastalığın gidişi daha çok alta yatan tanı ile ilişkilidir. Burada öncelikli olan acil cerrahi girişim gerektiren hidronefroz (HN) olgularını belirlemektir. Diğer önemli bir nokta uzun dönem izlem veya elektif şartlarda cerrahi girişim gerektiren HN olgularını minimal invaziv görüntüleme ve girişim gerektiren geçici HN olgularından ayırt etmektir.Bu çalışmada antenatal dönemde sonografik olarak pelvikaliksiyel dilatasyon saptanan hastalarda üriner sistem malformasyonlarının tedavisinde erken tanının önemini belirlemek, ayrıca ürolojik malformasyonların saptanmasında antenatal ultrasonografik değerlendirmenin önemini belirlemek yanında bu hastaların izleminde kullanılmakta olduğumuz tanı ve tedavi protokolünü etkinliğini yeniden değerlendirmeyi amaçladık.Bu çalışmaya 2012-2015 yılları arasında AH tanısı ile başvuran ve takip-tedavi edilen toplam 250 hasta alınmıştır. Antenatal US ile fetal böbrek ön-arka pelvis çapları gebeliğin 2. trimesterinde 4 mm ve üzeri, 3. trimesterde 7 mm ve üzeri olgular antenatal hidronefroz olarak kabul edilmiştir. Gebelik haftası bilinmeyen olgularda ise herhangi bir prenatal US'de pelvis ön-arka çapları 7 mm ve üzeri olanlar antenatal HN olarak kabul edilmiştir. Postnatal ilk 4-6 hafta içerisinde kontrol üriner sistem ultrasonografisi olan ve pelvis ön-arka çapı 7 mm ve üzeri olan hastalar çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Etkilenmiş her bir böbrek bir ünite olarak adlandırıldı ve sonuçta toplam 333 böbrek ünitesi izlenmiştir. Hastalar US, miksiyosistoüreterografi (MSUG) ve gerekli görüldüğünde diğer görüntüleme yöntemleri ile izlenmişlerdir.Hastaların 196'sı (%79) erkek, 54'ü (%21) kız olup erkek/kız oranı 3.6 olarak bulundu. Tüm hastalar yenidoğan döneminden itibaren izlenmiş olup ortalama izlem süresi 26.38±4.62 ay (en az 3, en fazla 36 ay) olarak saptandı. İki yüz elli olgunun postnatal dönemde 144'ü (%57.6) normal olarak değerlendirilirken, 106'sında (%42.4) ise ürolojik bir patoloji saptandı. Normal saptanan 144 olgunun 126'sı (%50.4) geçici pelviektazi, 18'i (%7.2) ise ekstrarenal pelvis olarak değerlendirildi. Ürolojik patoloji tespit edilen olguların 67'si (%26.8) üreteropelvik darlık (UPD), 29'u (%11.6) vezikoüreteral reflü (VUR), 5'i (%2) üreterovezikal darlık (UVD), 3'ü posterior üretral valv (PUV) (%1.2), 1'i polikistik böbrek hastalığı (PBH) (%0.4), 1'inde ise multikistik displastik böbrek (MDB) (%0.4) saptandı. Çalışmamızda VUR tespit edilen olguların 7'sine subüreterik enjeksiyon ve 3'üne üreteroneosistostomi uygulanmıştır. Geri kalan 19 olgu ise izlemde kendiliğinden normale dönmüştür. Obstrüktif hastalık saptanan 75 olgunun 23'ü (%30.6) opere edilmiş, 20'si (%26.7) aynı tanı ile izleme devam edilmiş ve 32 (%42.7) hasta izlemde normle dönmüştür. OÜ nedeniyle opere edilenlerden 19 (%82.6) olguya piyeloplasti, 3 (%13.1) olguya PUV rezeksiyonu ve 1 (%4.3) olguya UVD cerrahisi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak antenatal hidronefroz tanısı alan bir olguda hastalığın gidişi daha çok alta yatan patoloji ile ilişkilidir. Günümüzde kolaylıkla uygulanabilen antenatal ultrasonografinin tüm gebelere uygulanması üriner sistem patolojilerinin çok erken dönemde saptanmasında önemlidir. Üriner sisteminde dilatasyon saptanan bebeklerin postanatal yaşamlarının birinci haftasından itibaren seri US ve diğer radyolojik görüntüleme yöntemleri ile değerlendirilmesi üriner sisteme ait mevcut patolojinin erken dönemde tanınmasını sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca AH tanılı bebeklerden OÜ tanısı alanlar US ile kolaylıkla anlaşılsa da VUR için bunu söylemenin oldukça zor olduğunu düşünmekteyiz. Bundan dolayı AH'lu olguların postnatal İYE takibiyle VUR'un erken dönemde tanınmasında ve gereksiz radyasyon içeren tetkiklerin azaltılmasında önemi olduğunu düşünmekteyiz. There have been dramatic changes in diagnosing the hydronephrosis cases by the widespread use of ultrasonography (US) in antenatal period. The course of the disease at the patients with antenatal hydronephrosis (AH) is much more correlated with underlying diagnosis. Determining the hydronephrosis (HN) cases requiring emergent surgical intervention is our first priority. Another important point is to differentiate the HN cases required long term follow- up or needed surgical intervention in elective cases from the temporary HN cases required minimum invasive monitoring and attempt.In this study we aimed to define the importance of early diagnosis of urinary tract malformation treatment in patients stated sonographically pelvicalyceal dilatation in antenatal period and the importance of antenatal ultrasonographic assessment in detecting urologic malformation and redetermening the diagnosis and treatment protocol used in patient follow-up.This study comprises a total of 250 patients admitted to the hospital with AH diagnosis (followed up and treated) between 2012 and 2015. The patients having the fetal kidney anterior posterior diameters in the second trimester of pregnancy is 4 mm and above, in the third trimester is 7 mm and above have been admitted as antenatal hydronephrosis with antenatal US. If pregnancy week is unkown, the cases with pelvis anterior posterior diameter 7 mm in any prenatal US are received as antenatal HN. After birth first 4 -6 weeks patients, applied urinary ultrasonography for control, with pelvis anterior posterior diameter 7 mm and above are included to the study.Each affected kidney is named as a unit and totally 333 kidney units have been observed. The patients followed by US, voidingcystoureterography (VCUG) and other radiological methods when necessary.One hundred ninety six (79%) of patients were male and 54 (21%) were female. The male/female ratio is 3.6. All patients have been followed from the newborn period and mean follow up time is 26.38±4.62 months (at min. 3, max. 36 months). From the 250 cases, 144(57.6%) cases evaluated as normal and 106 (42.4%) cases diagnosed with a urological pathology in postnatal period. From the 144 patients evaluated as normal at postnatal period, 126 cases evaluated as (50.4%) temporary pelvicalycealectasis and 18 cases (7.2%) as extrarenal pelvis.From the 106 patients diagnosed with a urological pathology, 67 (26.8%) cases diagnosed with ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, 29 (11.6%) cases with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), 5 (2%) cases with ureterovesical junction (UVJ) obstruction, 3 (1.2%) cases with posterior urethral valve (PUV), 1 (0.4%) cases with polycystic kidney disease (PKD), and 1 (0.4 %) cases with multicystic dysplastic kidney (MDK). The subureteric injection is applied to the 7 cases and ureteroneocystostomy operation is applied to 3 patients with the VUR diagnosis. The rest 19 cases are spontaneously recovered and became normal with the folow-up. From the 75 cases with the diagnosis of obstructive pathology, 23 (30.6%) cases operated, 20 (26.7%) cases followed up with the same diagnosis and 32 (42.7%) cases became normal at the follow up. From the operated patients due to obstructive pathology, pyeloplasty is applied to 19 (82.6%) cases, PUV resection is applied to 3 (13.1%) cases and UVJ obstruction surgery is applied to 1 (4.3%) case.In conclusion, the course of the disease at the cases with the diagnosis of antenatal hydronephrosis is correlated with underlying pathology. The application of ultrasonography, which is easily applicable nowadays, to all pregnants is important for the early diagnosis of urinary system pathologies. The evaluation of the infants with urinary system dilatation with the serial ultrasonography and other radiologic evaluation methods beginning from the postnatal first week will provide early diagnosis of urinary system pathologies. Also the babies diagnosed as obstructive pathology with antenatal hydronephrosis are easily understood with ultrasonography but it is difficult to say for the diagnosis of VUR. Therefore we think that the postnatal urinary system infection follow up of AH cases is important at the early diagnosis of VUR and decrease of unnecessary radiation containing radiologic examinations. 76
