[N-(2-hidroksi-1-naftaliden)histidin] Schiff baz sentezlenerek yap s , IR, UV, 1H NMR spektroskopi metodlar ve Xortorombik ve P212121 uzay grubuna sahiptir. Kristalografik parametreleri ise a=6.133(5), b=7.168(5), c=33.639(5)Å , V=1478.8(2) Å3 birim hücre bilgilerini içerir. Ayd nlat lan yap n n do rulu unun bir ölçüsü olan R faktörleri ise R=0.0394 , wR=0.0784 olarak belirlenmi tir. Bu tip Schiff bazlar sahip olduklar tautomerik formlara ba l olarak fotokromik veya termokromik karakter gösterirler. Daha önceki çal mam zda inceledi imiz treonin Schiff baz nda gözlenen enol-imin tautomerli inin aksine histidin Schiff baz n n kat fazda daha çok keto-amin tautomerli ini tercih etti i görülmü tür. Molekül içi hidrojen ba [ N-Hketo-amin formundaki yük da l m na ba l olarak kuvvetli naftaliden grubundan azot atomuna proton transferinin oldu unu göstermektedir

The aim of this work was to investigate the new effective agents candidate for treatment of the Alzheimer’s disease. So, a series of new and highly active acetylcholinesterase inhibitors derived from hydroxyquinoline ester containing amino acid were synthesized. Antibacterial activities of the molecules were studied by the well-diffusion method against Listeria monocytogenes 4b, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi H, Brucella abortus, Staphylococcus epidermis sp., Micrococcus luteus, Shigella dysenteria type 10, Bacillus cereus, Pseudomonas putida and antifungal activity against Candida albicans. All the synthesized compounds behave as inhibitors against AChE enzyme. CysEs and MetEs show more inhibition potency.

Some new (N-indolidene-DL-glycine, N-indolidene-DL-alanine and N-indolidene-DL-valine) amino acid-Schiff bases were prepared by the condensation of indole-3-carboxaldehyde and DL-glycine, DL-alanine and DL-valine and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR spectroscopy and 13 C-NMR spectroscopy. Antimicrobial activities of the amino acid-Schiff bases have been tested against four different microorganisms.Key Words: Amino acid, schiff bases, antibacterial activity, microorganism.

Sentezlenen Schiff bazlarının ve komplekslerinin yapılan element analizi, İR, UV spektrofotometrik, 1H-, 13C-NMR spektroskopik analiz yöntemleri, magnetik süsseptibilite ve TG-DTA ölçümleri ile aydınlatıldı. To verify this, Schiff bases of the amino acids have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-hydroxy-l-napthaldehyde and tried to get their manganese(III) complexes with manganese(III) acetate. It was seen that the best results could be obtained by using Template method. The structure of the Schiff bases and the complexes were investigated by elemental analyses, IR, UV spectrophotometric, 1H-, 13C-NMR spectroscopic analyses and determination of magnetic susseptibility and TG-DTA. Hanganese(III)aeetate, which is very important among the Manganese compounds from the scientific and technical aspects was synthesized using a new method. Manganese(II)acetate was oxidized to Mange- nese(III)acetate by PbOo in glacial acetic acid and isolated. In order to use it as a titrant in non-aqueous medium studies and to determine organic substances Îuantitatively with potentiometric method, it was tried o obtain it in high purity. Its purity was found 99 per cent (% 99) and also was found that there are 2 moles of HoO m its structure by Karl Fischer Method, titration or hydroquinon and elemental analyses. This pure Manganese( II I) acetate was used as a titrant to titrate 4-nitrophenylhydrazine, diphenylcar- bazid and- semicarbazidhydrochlorid in non-aqueous media and obtained very good results.
