Objective: This study aims to investigate and compare the anticancer effects of carboplatin and cisplatin, frequently used in cancer treatment, by loading them on albumin nanocarrier. Materials and Methods: Carboplatin (CP) and Cisplatin (Cis) loaded albumin nanoparticles were synthesized using ultrasonication as CP-NPs and Cis-NPs, respectively. Nanoparticle size and distribution were evaluated by Dynamic light scattering (DLS). Cytotoxicities of NPs were evaluated in MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cells and HUVEC using MTT test and their morphological images were compared. Results: While the average size of CP-NPs was around 2-3 nm, Cis-NPs was 7-8 nm. It was observed that both NPs groups were homogeneously dispersed. According to the cytotoxicity results, both CP-NPs and Cis-NPs were more cytotoxic on MCF-7 breast cancer cells. In addition, CP-NPs and Cis-NPs showed significant cytotoxicity on MCF-7, MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, while low cytotoxicity was detected in normal HUVEC cells. © 2022 Indian Chemical SocietyIn this study, I2/PMMA and CuS/I2/PMMA thin films were produced by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) substrates, and their physicochemical and antimicrobial properties were analyzed. The film's surface tensions were characterized by KSV instruments, and the surface tensions for plain PMMA, I2/PMMA, and CuS/I2/PMMA thin films were 30.27, 28.77, and 31.86 mN/m, respectively. The I2 and CuS/I2 structures in the XRD patterns are amorphous. After coating CuS, the long rod-like extension structures are formed; spherical shapes form some agglomeration in some regions to SEM images. Chemical analysis was performed with an EDX spectrometer attached to SEM. The thicknesses and surface roughnesses of I2/PMMA and CuS/I2/PMMA thin films were determined to be 50.34 nm, 1126 nm; 62.03 nm and 204.99 nm via AFM, respectively. The optical spectra of the films were recorded in the range of 300–1100 nm with a UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of I2 and CuS coating were evaluated against facultative gram-negative E. Coli and C. Albicans. The coated films exhibited excellent antimicrobial performance.

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerine yönelik 21. yüzyıl becerileri yeterliliklerini belirleyen ölçek geliştirmektir. İlgili araştırmada geliştirilen ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirlik kanıtlarını elde etmek amacıyla nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılarak seçilen örneklem grubu 400 ortaokul öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin geliştirilmesi sürecinde ilk olarak alan yazın taranarak 47 madden oluşan madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Ölçeğin kapsam geçerliliğini sağlamak amacıyla uzman görüşleri alınmıştır. Uzman görüşü sonucunda taslak ölçek 40 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Geliştirilen ölçek beşli Likert tipindedir. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliğine kanıt sağlamak amacıyla açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri yapılmıştır. Farklı örneklemler üzerinden yapılan açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda 34 madde 6 faktörlü bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. Ölçekte bulunan faktörler; “iletişim”, “bilgi okuryazarlığı”, “Eleştirel düşünme ve yaratıcılık”, “yaratıcı düşünme ve yenilik”, “bilgi teknoloji okuryazarlığı” ve “liderlik ve sorumluluk becerileri” şeklindedir. 34 madden oluşan ölçeğin genel güvenirliğini hesaplamak için Cronbach's Alpha katsayısı 0.92 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmacılara önerimiz farklı örneklemler üzerinde bu ölçeğin geçerlik-güvenirlik kanıtlarının elde edilmesi şeklindedir.

© 2022 Elsevier LtdHerein, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were oxygen functionalized by irradiation with diverse radiation sources including Am-241, Sr-90, Co-60, and Na-22 for the first time to be used as the electrode material in a high-energy supercapacitor. The oxygen contents of the irradiated CNTs were fine-tuned via the energy of the radiation source. The physicochemical characterization of as-obtained CNTs was conducted by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman, and Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM- EDX) analysis whereas cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge techniques were performed to assess the electrochemical performance of the as-assembled symmetrical supercapacitor cells. The CNT irradiated by Am-241 radiation source offered superior specific capacitance values compared to the other irradiated CNTs thanks to its higher content of oxygen functional groups. The highest specific capacitance for CNT Am-241 sample (with 7.32% oxygen) was calculated to be 489.6 F.g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A.g−1, which was almost 2.75 fold that of non-irradiated CNT sample. The capacitance retention of as-synthesized CNT Am-241 was determined as 98.50% for the 5,000th CV cycle. The outstanding energy density of 56.90 W.h.kg−1 was achieved even at a high power density value of 9992.19 W.kg−1, comparable to the commercial batteries, will pave the way for facile fabrication of high-energy electrochemical energy storage systems based on functionalized carbon nanotubes.

© The Author(s) 2020.In this study, we examined the notable textile materials in the literature, which have been produced to prevent the electromagnetic waves emitted by the electronic devices that are a significant part of our lives. Nowadays, these devices and technologies that bring us many advantages in our daily life cause health problems on human beings, which leaded this type of studies to deepen. In this study, non-woven and woven products were examined. Produced tissue types found in the literature were excluded from the research. This literature review is mainly focused on the textile materials treated with pyrrole and having electromagnetic shielding property by producing via different methods either by doping metal in the fabric or yarn structure or by weaving with metal. Because it is known that the most successful studies on electromagnetic shielding were made by polypyrrole coating. In the last part of the study, suggestions have been submitted about the type of studies that should be done to provide electromagnetic shielding feature to the textile materials. We investigated 56 articles about electromagnetic shielding in the literature. 48 of 56 articles were evaluated. It seems that the researchers used to polypyrrole for electromagnetic shielding on textile surface, however they don’t investigate to advantage and disadvantage of polypyrrole for using. We discussed this issue and which material was more effective for electromagnetic shielding on the textile surface in the discussion section.

Medicinal plants can be used as reducing agents in the preparation of metal nanoparticles by green synthesis because of the chemotherapeutic and anti-infectious properties of natural compounds. Therefore, this paper reports the green synthesis of silver and iron nanoparticles from leaf and flower extracts of Nerium oleander and their capacity as anticancer and antimicrobial agents. Nanoparticle manufacturing and structural characterization of silver and iron nanoparticles are reported. The formation of nanoparticles is characterized by scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, UV-Vis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Nanoparticles formation was also investigated the surface charge, particle size, and distribution using zeta sizer analysis by DLS. Green synthesis of silver and iron nanoparticles using N. oleander showed different levels of selective cytotoxicity against K562 (human chronic myeloid leukemia cells) in low concentrations and were not cytotoxic to the HUVEC (human umbilical vein endothelial cells) in the same concentrations. Silver nanoparticles showed antibacterial activity against multidrug pathogens, while iron nanoparticles failed to show such activity. Results of the present research demonstrate the potential use of green synthesized nanoparticles in various biomedicine and pharmaceuticals fields in the future.

© 2022 Elsevier LtdIn this study, as a new synthesis method, UV light was employed as a type of cross-linking agent to control drug storage and to produce nanoparticles of different sizes and to stabilize the nanoparticles for the first time. We showed that the exposure time of the 5FU albumin solution to UV light produces differences in the size and characterization of the nanoparticles and also produces different cytotoxic effects on MCF-7 breast cancer cells. While the 5FU-A1 nanoparticles we synthesized with 1 h UV storage were approximately 43 nm, the 5FU-A2 nanoparticles we synthesized with UV storage for 3 h increased to an average of 300 nm. 5FU-A1 (IC50 value: 2.5 μg/mL) was approximately 16 times more cytotoxic than free 5FU (IC50 value 39.39 μg/mL) on MCF-7 cancer cells. Moreover, when normal HUVEC cells are treated with 5FU-A1 at a concentration of 2.5 μg/mL, more than 80% of these normal cells remain viable. In addition, we examined the rate of early-to-late apoptosis and necrosis in MCF-7 cancer cells using the Annexin V/PI flow cytometry assay. According to our results, 5FU-A1 promoted the apoptosis pathway. Finally, we examined P-gp activity with MDR1/ABCB1 antibody by flow cytometry and Rhodamine123 with fluorescent dye.

This study is based on MgO thin films, on which different amounts of bismuth were doped. XRD, SEM and EDX were performed for the characterization of thin films, whereas capacitance of the films was examined through current-voltage measurements. In addition, capacitance of these films was measured in the environments with violet, green, red and yellow lighting. It was found that under violet light, in other words around the UV region, the capacitance of Bi-doped thin films increased by 15%. SEM and EDX analysis revealed that the percentage of bismuth on the surface was dramatically increased with the increase of doped bismuth amount. On the other hand, various differences were observed on the surface images of doped and undoped films, serious differentiations were especially observed on the morphologic structure of 15% Bi-doped films.

A sensitive and selective, aptamer and spectroscopic ellipsometry based sensor is reported here for the early diagnosis of breast cancer, which is a common type of cancer following lung cancer. It was aimed to develop a single-step and label-free assay for the sensitive and selective detection of VEGF165. To this end, two different aptamers and spectroscopic ellipsometry were used. In the presented study, by determining the appropriate aptamer immobilization conditions, the spectroscopic ellipsometry technique was successfully applied for the detection of VEGF165 at the range of 1 pM–1000 pM in the buffer. Aptasensors have a detection limit of 5.81 pM and 4.29 pM, respectively. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.

GO SnSbS thin films were produced by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) method on ITO substrates at different deposition temperatures (20 °C, 40 °C, 60 °C and 80 °C). Structural characteristics of the films were determined by XRD, FTIR, EDX, FESEM and AFM and their optical properties were analyzed. Time-dependent current-voltage (I-V) measurements were performed for each sample at 5 mV/s, 10 mV/s and 20 mV/s in the range of −0.2 Vto 0.8 V and specific capacitance values and energy densities were calculated. At the lowest scanning rates of 5 mV/s, they were found to be 243 F/g, 575 F/g, 224 F/g and 94 F/g for different deposition temperatures (20 °C, 40 °C, 60 °C and 80 °C).

In this study, silica xerogels were synthesized via the method known in the literature. Various organic acids were used as catalyst while producing xerogels via Sol-gel method and the impact of these acids on xerogels’ surface area and hardness have been examined. 4 different organic acids (some of them were already mentioned in the literature) was selected, which are HOC(COOH)(CH2COOH)2 (citric acid: SA), HO2CCO2H • 2H2O (oxalic acid: OA) (H2N)C6H4SO3H (sulfanilic acid: SAA) HOCH2CH2N(CH2COOH)2, and (N-(2-hydroxyethyl)iminodiacetic acid: N2h). The characterization of the produced materials was performed by FTIR and EDX, whereas their surface area was measured through BET analysis. Their hardness were measured and calculated with a diamond-tipped microhardness device. The hardest material was the silica xerogel synthesized with N-(2-hydroxyethyl) iminodiacetic acid, whereas the material with lowest hardness was the one synthesized with oxalic acid. The silica xerogel with the largest surface area was the one with the highest hardness. The data indicated that the acid added during the synthesis reaction affect the hardness of the xerogel and hardness can be associated with pKa values of the added acids.

This study used the Chemical Bath Deposition method, which is quite simple and cheap, to produce GO/MoO3 nanocomposite, whose high capacitance properties draws attention. The Graphene oxide solution is prepared by synthesizing through the Hummer Method. These two materials were left to grow slowly on their own so that GO/MoO3 nanocomposite structures form thin films on Glass, Poly(methyl methacrylate), Fluorine tin oxide, and indium tin oxide substrates. The surface and structural properties of these GO/MoO3 nanocomposite structures were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-ray, FTIR, X-ray diffraction, and Atomic Force Microscopy. The nanocomposites' capacitance properties produced on different substrates were measured in -0.2 – 0.2 V at different scan rates. As a result, the highest specific capacitance values were achieved at 25 mV/s scan rate, as 587 F/g, for Poly(methyl methacrylate).

Chromium selenide (CrSe) crystalline thin film has been produced via chemical bath deposition on substrates (commercial glass). Transmittance, absorption, optical band gap and refractive index of the films have been examined by UV/VIS. Spectrum. Structural properties have been examined and XRD hexagonal form has been observed. The structural and optical properties of CrSe thin films, produced at different pH levels were analyzed; SEM and EDX analysis have been performed for surface analysis and elemental ratio of the films. It has been found that some properties of the films have been changed with pH and the changes of these properties with respect to pH have been investigated. Tested pH values were between 8 and 11. The optical band gap has been varied between 3.80 and 3.92 eV and film thickness has been changed from 76 nm to 126 nm for tested pH levels. Absorbance values were found to be 0.053, 0.018, 0.012 and 0.069 for pH values of 11, 10, 9 and 8, respectively (550 nm wavelength). The refractive index of CrSe thin films have been changed with film thickness, found as 2.27, 2.24, 2.25 and 2.26.

In this study, undoped and Ag-doped HfO2 thin films were deposited on glass substrates by means of sol–gel dip coating method. These films were then thermally annealed at 500 °C for 1 h. The structural and optical properties of undoped and Ag-doped HfO2 thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction, UV–Vis spectrometry and scanning electron microscope. The results of this analysis were compared and interpreted with the results obtained in literature by various methods of coating with HfO2. The X-ray diffraction peaks of the films paired with monoclinic HfO2 crystalline peaks. The refractive indices of the films decreased with doping Ag, at 500 nm wavelengths. The optical band gap values of Ag-doped HfO2 thin films increased with doping Ag. The porous structures were observed on the surface films, especially with 5% Ag doping.

In this study, a new method for the production of vanadium oxide thin films has been developed. Structural analyzes of films produced in the study were performed by FTIR; whereas surface properties were examined by SEM analysis. Optical properties were measured by UV-VIS spectrophotometer and electrical characterizations were made by I/V measurements. Optical transmission curves were found to be near 60% in the vicinity of the NIR region, with a refractive index around 2.11. Films produced with urease were found to have a resistivity of less than 0.01 Omega cm. It was observed that film thicknesses varied in the range of 35-62 nm regarding the measurements made with AFM device. This study aimed to evaluate antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects of Capecitabine bonded silver particles on human breast cancer cells (MCF-7). Different sizes of Ag NPs (in sizes 5, 10, 15, 30 nm) were synthesized. The characterization of silver and drug-bonded silver nanoparticles was performed through UV-VIS, FTIR, and SEM analysis. Silver and drug-bonded silver nanoparticles were measured by zetasizer. Antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects of capecitabine, silver and drug-bonded silver nanoparticles were evaluated using XTT, Anneksin V, respectively. According to the results, silver nanoparticles of 10 nm size have shown the lowest toxic effect. The PS content in carbonaceous materials was in between 10% and 70% PS. The electrodes were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). CTP-PS4 (50% PS content) electrode was more reductant than the other electrodes. Similarly, electrocatalytic activity of CTP-PS4 for folic acid (FA) was higher than the other electrodes. The electrode was used in the determination of FA by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Under optimal conditions, the anodic current of FA was linear in the concentration range from 0.25 to 40 mu mol/L. The obtained linear range calibration plot of the concentration of FA vs. peak current resulted in two linear slope values. The first equation for FA was Ip(FA)=0.2476+3.9005 [FA] (R-2: 0.9970) with the linear range from 0.25 to 1.5mol/L (LOD: 0.011mol/L; S/N=3). The second linear equation was Ip(FA)=4.5377+1.2509 [FA] (R-2: 0,9957) with the linear range from 3.0 to 40mol/L (LOD=0.092mol/L; S/N=3). The proposed method was applied for the determination of FA in human serum with recovery rate from 97.3 to 101.3%.

Cyclo-hafnium metal-organic thin film was successfully synthesized and deposited on amorphous glass using a specific method, where amorphous substrate was used for synthesis and coating. Then, the film was annealed at 300 degrees C in an oven (ambient conditions). Optical and structural properties of the films were also investigated within the study. The structure of the film was analyzed using the mid-infrared spectrum. Optical properties were investigated via the UV-Vis spectroscopic technique. Film thickness was measured with AFM (tapping mode). Surface properties and elemental ratio of the films were examined and measured with SEM and EDX analysis. The highest transmittance and lowest reflectance values within the visible range were identified. The characteristic triethanolamine and hafnium-oxide peaks were observed in the infrared spectrum. FIR spectra of the films were found to be in accordance with the literature. SEM images of the films revealed that the surface of the films is fragile. EDX analysis of hafnium, organic parts of the compound and some minerals of amorphous glass were shown.

In this process, we dissolved tungsten ions in water and mixed with catalase and invertase enzymes, then coated the substrates with this mixture. In this paper, we produced tungsten oxide thin films by a method different than the ones in the literature and we investigated their characteristics. Surface analysis was performed by Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction was used to examine structural properties and current/voltage measurements. Capacitance of the film produced with invertase were calculated as 588-296-208-150 F/g, whereas capacitance of the film produced with catalase were 670-330-227-164 F/g at 5-10-15-20 mV/s scan rates, respectively. The performances of the new generation energy storage devices are strongly dependent on the physical and chemical properties of the electrode materials; therefore, the development of high-activity electrode materials is of great importance. For this purpose, Graphene oxide: Antimony sulfide (on Si substrate) thin films were produced at different deposition temperatures via chemical bath deposition (CBD) and their supercapacitor performances were investigated. Specific capacitance values were calculated through time-dependent current-voltage (I-V) measurements in the range of -0.2 V - 0.8 V, at 5 mV/s, 10 mV/s and 20 mV/s scanning rates. The maximum specific capacitance for each deposition temperature at scanning rate of 5 mV/s was found to be 562 F/g, 549 F/g, 401 F/g and 254 F/g, respectively.

The aim of this study is synthesis and characterization of silver doped magnesium thin film electrodes. XRD, SEM and EDX analysis are performed for the characterization of thin films and their capacitance properties are examined using time-dependent current/voltage (I/V) measurements. And also, capacitance properties of these films under violet, green, yellow and red lighting are assessed. It is observed that capacitance properties of Ag doped thin films increased by around 10% under violet light. SEM and EDX analysis is revealed that the amount of silver on the surface have been decreased with the increase of silver doping amount. In addition to the differences on the morphologic images of doped and undoped films, serious differences are observed on the surface structure of the 10% Ag doped films compared to the others.

Within the scope of the study, tellurium iodide (TeIx) crystalline thin film was produced via chemical bath deposition on substrates (commercial glass). Transmittance, absorption, optical band gap and refractive index were examined by Ultra violet/visible spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction revealed that the structure was hexagonal. Structural and optical properties of TeIx thin films, produced at different iodine concentrations were analyzed. Scanning electron microscope was used for surface analysis, whereas electron microscope analysis was used to determine the elemental ratio in the films. It has been found that characteristics of the films, such as structure, porosity, average grain size, number of crystalline per unit area etc., were changed with iodine concentration. Iodine concentration has varied between 2.5 × 10−3 and 10 × 10−3 M. Optical band gap has been increased with iodine concentration, taking values between 3.72 to 3.90 eV. Also, film thickness has been changed from 237 nm to 866 nm, according to iodine concentration. In addition, the effect of porosity on structural properties of thin films was investigated. Silver and lead were co-precipitated in bath with iodine. The precipitate of Pb-AgI has been deposited on glass substrates. Pb-AgI mixing thin film was researched in terms of structural, optical and electrical properties. The structures of the films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Uniform distribution of grains is clearly seen in the photograph of scanning electron microscope (SEM). The optical properties were researched and analyzed with UV-VIS. The form of Pb-AgI film depended on deposition temperature and deposition time. The transmittance and optical band gap decreased with deposition temperature which were 90-80 % and 4.08-4.11, respectively. AgI structure was observed in XRD analysis and this structure was dominant in the films. The atom ratios of lead and silver changed with deposition temperature. Film thickness of Pb-AgI thin films decreased with deposition temperature.

The capacitance performance exhibited by Graphene oxide/Tungsten Oxide substances is quite high in terms of potential supercapacitor applications. This study involves the synthesize of GO through Hummers Method and coating it on the substrates. Accordingly, thin film supercapacitor structures of GO/WO3 on ITO, FTO, PMMA and Glass substrates were successfully produced through CBD (Chemical Bath Deposition) method. Structural properties were characterized by XRD, SEM, AFM, ATR, and UV. I–V and C–V curves were investigated in the determined voltage range (from −0.2–1.2 V) at 25, 50, 75 and 100 mV/s various scanning potential. Regarding the maximum capacitance and energy intensity of the thin films, the maximum capacitance was 268.5 F/g and the energy intensity was calculated as 52.2 Wh/kg for glass/GO/WO3 thin film; the maximum capacitance was 259.7 F/g, and the energy intensity was calculated as 50.4 Wh/kg for PMMA/GO/WO3, the maximum capacitance was 158.5 F/g, and the energy intensity was calculated as 30.8 Wh/kg for FTO/GO/WO3, and finally the maximum capacitance was 106 F/g, and the energy intensity was calculated as 20.6 Wh/kg for ITO/GO/WO3.

In this study, molybdenum oxide thin films were prepared using a method different than the ones known in the literature and their capacitance properties were investigated. Catalase and invertase enzymes were mixed with molybdenum ions dissolved in water and molybdenum oxide thin films were coated on substrates. Surface analysis of the films was performed by Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, whereas structural properties were examined through X-ray Diffraction and capacitance properties by current/voltage measurements. Regarding the molybdenum oxide thin films that were produced with catalase enzyme in crystal structure, the highest capacitance value was obtained as 560 F/g. According to Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis, it was found that thin films contained around 75% molybdenum, equally distributed on the surface of the films. Moreover, we get very interesting results as a result of the capacitance measurements that we have performed with different light sources.

Gold and ruthenium nanoparticles have been self-assembled on graphene oxide by using cysteine or glutamic acid junctions as heterogeneous nanocatalysts in the reduction of nitroaromatics. It was observed that the reaction rate of Au/Ru nanoparticles decorated on graphene oxide sheets via additional glutamic acid junctions was higher than catalyst decorated via cysteine junctions.

For potential applications in supercapacitors, Graphene oxide - Vanadium oxide structures exhibit high capacitance performance. In this study, GO was synthesized by Hummers Method and coated on substrate materials. Then, thin film supercapacitors glass/GO/VO, PMMA/GO/VO, FTO/ GO/VO and ITO/ GO/VO were fabricated successfully by chemical bath deposition method (CBD). Structural characterizations were investigated by SEM, XRD, FTIR, UV-VIS and AFM. I-V and CS-V characteristics were investigated and energy densities were calculated at voltage range (from -0.2 to 1.2 V) at scanning potential 25, 50, 75 and 100 mV/s. At the scanning rate of 25 mV/s, the maximum capacitance values ​​for glass/GO/VO, PMMA/GO/VO, FTO/GO/VO and ITO/GO/VO thin film supercapacitors structures were 880 F/g, 806.6 F/g, 949.6 F/g and 563.2 F/g; and the energy intensities were calculated as 85.4 W h/kg, 44.8 W h/kg, 15.78 W h/kg, 23.4 W h/kg, respectively.

Graphene oxide - Iridium Oxide structures show high capacitance performance potential in terms of applications in supercapacitors. The scope of this study is synthesizing GO via Hummers Method and use it for the coating of various substrates. Accordingly, various supercapacitors in the form of thin film, namely glass/GO/IrO2, PMMA/GO/IrO2, ETO/GO/IrO2 and ITO/GO/IrO2, were successfully produced via chemical bath deposition (CBD) on various substrates. Structural characterizations were analyzed through SEM, XRD, ATR, UV and AFM. In addition, I-V and C-V characteristics were investigated and energy densities were calculated for a voltage range (from -0.2 to 1.2 V), at scanning speed of 25 mV/s, 50 mV/s, 75mV/s and 100mV/s. It was found that all thin films supercapacitors structures (glass/GO/IrO2, PMMA/GO/IrO2, FTO/GO/IrO2 and ITO/GO/IrO2) reached their maximum capacitance values at the scanning rate of 25 mV/s, which were found to be 551.7 F/g, 837.7 F/g, 433.2 F/g and 569.7 F/g; and the energy intensities were calculated as 15.3Wh/kg, 34.9Wh/kg, 7.2Wh/kg and 12.64 Wh/kg respectively. Manganese selenide (MnSe) crystalline thin film was produced with chemical bath deposition on substrates (commercial glass). Transmittance, absorption, optical band gap and refractive index were investigated by UV/VIS spectrum. The hexagonal form was observed in the structural properties in XRD. The structural and optical properties of the MnSe thin films were analyzed at different pHs. SEM and EDX analysis were used for the surface analysis in the films. The films had the best crystalline at pH: 9. At pHs of 11 and 10 the MnSeO4 structure was observed. The films with the lowest film thickness were found in baths prepared with pH: 11. The highest refractive index was observed in films produced with a pH of 10 at a film density of 1.96. The grain size of MnSe thin films has a higher value at pH: 9.

Zinc iodide (ZnI2) crystalline thin film is produced with chemical bath deposition on substrates (commercial glass). The pH of chemical bath is scanned with controlled potassium hydroxide. Some properties of films changed with pH and changes of pH were analyzed. The pH values are scanned at 6.01-6.29. Transmittance, absorption, optical band gap and refractive index are investigated by UV/Vis. spectrum. The hexagonal and tetragonal form in structural properties in XRD at pH: 6.01 were seen. The pH of bath was up to 6.01, KZnI3 center dot 2H(2)O (orthorhombic), KZnI3 center dot(H2O)(2) (orthorhombic), ZnI2 (tetragonal) and ZnI2 (hexagonal) forms were observed in XRD patterns. The structural and optical properties of ZnI2 thin films analyzed at different pH. SEM analysis studied for surface analysis in films. The SEM analyses were agreed with XRD patterns. The optical band gap increased with pH between 3.4 and 3.6 eV. The film thickness changed with pH at 108-345 nm. Also refractive index and transmission generally increased with pH. Polycrystalline manganese ditelluride (MnTe2) thin films are synthesized on commercial glass substrates by chemical bath deposition technique at different pH values (pH = 9, 10, 11 and 12). The effect of pH on the structural and optical properties of chemically deposited MnTe2 thin films have been investigated in this study. The structure and optical properties of the films are characterized by X-ray diffraction and optical absorption spectroscopy. The X-ray diffraction results suggest that the films are polycrystalline with a mixture of dominant cubic MnTe2 phase and few traces of orthorhombic MnTeO3 and MnTe2O5 phases. The optical band gap of the films increases approximately from 1.66 eV to 2.62 eV with increasing pH. Moreover, optical parameters of the films such as refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary dielectric constants are investigated using absorption and transmittance spectra taken from the UV-vis spectrophotometer. At 600 nm wavelength, refractive index and extinction coefficient values vary in the range of 1.39-1.55 and 0.17-0.23, respectively. An increase in optical band gap could be attributed to the quantum confinement effect.

Indium sulfide (beta-In2S3) thin films are synthesized by chemical bath deposition method using three different complexing agent volumes, triethanolamine (TEA) (0.30, 0.45, and 0.60 ml). The effect of complexing agent on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of chemically deposited indium sulfide (beta-In2S3) thin films have been investigated in this work. The characterization of the present films is carried out using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy and electrical measurements. The structure of the films is polycrystalline with a cubic phase of beta-In2S3. Firstly, the band gap of the film decreases from 3.74 eV to 3.15 eV by adding 0.30 ml TEA. Then, it increases to 3.79 eV with increasing TEA. Nevertheless, previously, the refractive index of the films increases from 2.13 to 2.67 for the 0.30 mL TEA and then it decreases to the value of 2.11 with increasing TEA. Extinction coefficient, real and dielectric constant of the films are calculated using the absorption and transmittance spectra. Firstly, the electrical resistivity of the films decreases from 3.46x10(8) Omega cm to 1.33x10(7) Omega cm by adding 0.30 ml TEA. Then, it increases to the value of 2.16x10(9) Omega cm with increasing TEA. Eventually, the more conductive film with worm-like morphology detected from the scanning electron microscopy is synthesized using 0.30 ml TEA. These results show that complexing agent has an important effect on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of the deposited films.

In this study, Poly (HEMA/Acrylamide/ Itaconic acid) (HAI) polymer was synthesized for using in the release of Doxorubicin drug. Poly (HEMA/acrylamide/ Itaconic acid) (HAI) hydrogel was prepared by a radical addition reaction in aqueous media formed by HEMA, acrylamide, Itaconic acid, in the presence of TEMED (N, N, N', N'-tetramethylenediamine). The characterization of the polymer was performed by FTIR analysis. At the same time, swelling and drug absorption capabilities of the polymers were analyzed. It has been observed that the entire drug, which was added to the solution with 0.1 mg of polymer, was absorbed in around 25 hours. This measurement showed that the absorption of this polymer is quite high compared to many polymers in the literature. Moreover, this polymer showed 80% swelling at 1000 minutes. In the light of these results, it has been concluded that this new polymer is very suitable for the release of Doxorubicin drug.

In this study, graphene oxide was derivative with 5-aminoisophtalic acid by amidization reaction. The nanomaterial in suspension was denoted as graphene oxide-isophtalic acid. The graphene oxide-isophtalic acid suspension was covered on the glassy carbon electrode surface under the infrared lamb. The graphene oxide was characterized with transmission electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction. Surface characterization of the glassy carbon/graphene oxide-isophtalic acid was performed with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The ultrasensitive nanoplatform for the simultaneous electrochemical square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry assay of Bi3+ and Cd2+ in aqueous solution has been developed on the glassy carbon/graphene oxide-isophtalic acid. The linearity range of Bi3+ and Cd2+ were 1.0×10-8–1.0×10-12 M (S/N = 3). The responses of species were practically unaltered with the increase of various species concentration. The detection limits of Cd2+ and Bi3+ were determined as 8.1×10-13 M and 1.06×10-13 M, respectively.
