Giysi tasarımında uygulanan süsleme tekniklerinden basit nakış teknikleri, giysilerin estetik görünümüne hizmet eden, temeli ilk insanlık tarihi kadar eski olan geleneksel tekniklerdir. Basit nakış teknikleri, giysi tasarımlarında özellikle yaka ve yaka çevresi, kol ağzı, ön ortası, etek ucu gibi alanlara uygulanmaktadır. Farklı tekniklerin birlikte ya da yalnız kullanımıyla sınırsız görünümüm elde edilebildiği bu tekniklerle tasarımcılar, ürünlerini estetik görünüme kavuşturmakta aynı zamanda diğer tasarımlardan farklılaşmasını sağlamaktadırlar. Çağdaş tasarımlarda el emeğine dayanan basit nakış tekniklerinin kullanımı günümüz tasarımcıların tasarımlarına Çalışmanın amacı, giysi tasarımında kullanılan basit nakış teknikleri hakkında bilgi vermek ve bu tekniklerin kullanımı ile oluşturulmuş farklı giysi tasarımları oluşturmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada, basit nakış teknikleri ile ilgili bilgileri derleme ve konu ile ilgili örnek çalışma yapabilme olanağı sunan betimsel yöntem tercih edilmiştir. Belirlenen amaç ve yöntem doğrultusunda çalışma kapsamında, süsleme detaylarına ağırlık verilen sekiz adet giysi tasarımı yapılmıştır. Tasarımlarda farklı kumaşlardan üretilen giysilerin süslemesinde, farklı malzemeler, farklı basit nakış teknikleri ile kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, her giysi tasarımı için bir pafta hazırlanmıştır. Her bir tasarım için hazırlanan pafta içeriğinde giysinin dijital ortamda hazırlanmış illüstrasyon çizimine, teknik çizimine ve motif, desen çizimine yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca desen ayrıntı görselleri ve nihai ürün görsellerinin yer aldığı paftalarda ürünün model ve süsleme özellikleri de açıklanmıştır.

7. Effect of Processing Type and Storage Time on Some Pesticide Residues in Strawberries.

In this study, 9 active substances that could be analysed by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) were used. Changes in these pesticide residues were determined after strawberries were washed, pasteurized, stored in cold and washed on different days. In addition, strawberry puree was stored at -18±2°C and pasteurized puree was stored at different temperatures. The highest and lowest processing factors in the pasteurization process were determined in tebufenpyrad (Pf:1.20) and tetraconazole (Pf:0.81), respectively. During cold storage, kresoxim-methyl degradation was found statistically significant (p<0.05). At the end of cold storage, penconazole was below the quantification limit while pyrimethanil and tebufenpyrad did not change; however, azoxystrobin, boscalid, tetraconazole and kresoxim-methyl residues decreased by 3.8, 10.9, 25.0 and 36.4%, respectively. Washing process did not reduce tebufenpyrad residues. On the other hand, reduction rates were 3.8, 4.2, 4.5 and 9.1% for azoxystrobin, pyrimethanil, bupirimate and kresoxim-methyl, respectively while they were 10.9% for boscalid and 16.7% for tetraconazole. During long-term storage, the highest and the fastest decrease in pesticide residues was observed at 20±2°C, and this decrease slowed down with the effect of pasteurization. Pesticide degradation rates at the end of one-year storage period in the samples stored at -18±2 °C following pasteurization were 20, 23, 26, 27, 37 and 41% for tetraconazole, pyrimethanil, azoxystrobin, kresoxim-methyl, boscalid and bupirimate, respectively. As a result, it was found that pesticide degradation was dependent upon the chemical nature of pesticides, initial concentration, agricultural commodity, processing and storage conditions. 9. Impacts of Different Processing Techniques on Chemical and Mineral Components of Wild-Grown Edible Mushroom (Lactarius semisanguifluus R. Heim & Leclair).

Lactarius semisanguifluus R. Heim & Leclair (L. semisanguifluus) is one of the wild-grown edible mushroom types. Wild-grown edible mushrooms are widely consumed or sold by people in fresh form. However, due to the high respiration ratio and moisture content, the mushrooms lose their quality immediately after harvest. This causes their shelf life to be very short. For this reason, it is necessary to know the best storage conditions as well as its nutritional content. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different treatment techniques (drying, canning, and freezing) on the chemical components (dry matter, crude protein, crude fats, ash, and total carbohydrates) and the mineral matters (Na, K, Mg, Ca, P, Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn) of the L. semisanguifluus. The results show that the moisture content varied between 8.86% to 90.43% (w/w) in the fresh, dried, canned and frozen mushroom samples. The protein content of the with and without processed samples was in the ranged of 1.21% and 18.53%. The ash and fat content of the all samples ranged from 2.79% to 5.94% and from 0.53% to 7.99%, respectively. Additionally, the carbohydrate content was found to be between 0.85 and 58.68%. The energy values of the all samples were estimated to be between 27.56-380.75 kcal 100g-1 and 115.63-1608.20 kJ 100g-1. Potassium (108.6-2367.4 mg 100g-1) and phosphor (37.4-182.7 mg 100g-1) were the most abundant minerals in the analysed samples. The chemical composition of the frozen samples had the closest results to the fresh samples. The results of the present research showed that L. semisanguifluus has a high nutritional quality especially the freezing process is the best protection technique rather than the canning process and was suitable especially for consumption in low caloric diets. Based on overall evaluations, it can be deduced that especially dried mushroom samples can be used in powder form (such as spices and enrichment component in many food formulations) in the production of various food products due to their high nutritional components. 10. Investigation the relationship of machining surfaces and the parameters with surface roughness in machining of Oriental beech tree species with CNC

In this study, the effect of machining parameters on the surface quality of the machining of different surfaces of the Oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) tree species used in the woodworking and furniture industry was investigated and it was aimed to determine the optimum machining parameters. The experiments were carried out at two different dept of cut (depth of cut 3.33 mm or 2.5 mm per machining, total 10 mm dept of cut) by using two different 8 mm diameter cutters at 8000, 12000 and 16000 rpm at feed rates of 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm/min. Surface roughness measurements were made according to ISO 4287 by using a test device with the stylus method on the surfaces obtained in different sections. Ra and Rz roughness measurements were performed on the surfaces obtained as a result of machining. It has been observed that the machining parameters have an effect in different rates on the surface roughness and the results are evaluated by comparing with the literature. The lowest average roughness (Ra=5,18 µm) value was obtained in 3-layer processing, 1000 mm/min feed rate at 16000 rpm, cutter type 2 for measurements perpendicular to the fibers on floor surfaces. The lowest values (Ra=2,84 µm) on the side surfaces were obtained as 4-layer machining, 1000 mm/min feed rate at 16000 rpm, cutter type 1 for measurements perpendicular to the fibers.

11. Machinability of CoCrMo Alloy Used in Biomedical Applications: Investigation of Cutting Tool Type.

It was discovered that the machinability of CoCrMo material, which is extensively utilized in the health-care business as an implant material, may be improved through research. Three distinct cutting tools and three different cutting speeds were employed in the dry machining experiment, with three different feed rates being used in combination with three different cutting speeds (DCMT from two different firms and DCGT inserts). Cutting tools with a wide range of mechanical qualities based on hardness and toughness are available on the market today. Throughout machining, the output of a machine is defined as the average of surface roughness (Ra) and cutting temperature (T), which is estimated as the result of an experimental research conducted during the machining process. The signal-tonoise ratio (S / N) recorded during the testing was used to evaluate the results of the tests. When determining the effect of variables on Ra and T, it was determined that the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) technique would be used. With a precision ratio of %61,4 in the analysis of variance, the feed rate was shown to be the most effective factor on Ra, while the cutting speed was found to be the most effective factor on cutting temperature (%63,9). The smallest Ra values were identified when machining at the fastest possible cutting speed and feed rate, whilst the smallest T values were obtained when machining at the slowest possible cutting speed and feed rate, respectively. In this study, the medicinal and aromatic plants sector of the Hatay province was evaluated with the SWOT Analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats), and aimed to offer solutions for the development of the sector based on the opinions of the companies which are operating in the province. According to the research results, the rich natural vegetation of the province and its proximity to raw material resources, were found as the main 'strengths'. Insufficient incentives, lack of coordination, problems in accessing quality raw materials, and adulteration were found as the 'weaknesses'. Increase in demand and high added value potential, and the EXPO 2021 exhibition were found as the 'opportunities'. Security problems in the region due to the ongoing war in Syria were determined as the prominent 'threat'.

In the food industry, using of new preservation and processing technologies, which may be an alternative to traditional methods, is becoming increasingly important. These novel and particularly non-thermal techniques have very important advantages such as enhancing food safety, reducing quality losses, and increasing production efficiency. One of these new technologies, Pulsed electric field (PEF) technique, stands out as a novel method that has been emphasized in recent years. It is used for different purposes in both liquid and solid foods, also various studies are carried out for the optimization. On the other hand, recently, there are several studies using PEF technique in meats and seafoods for the preservation purposes, as well as other positive effects (improving the functional properties of the product, accelerating processes such as drying, curing and freezing). In this regard, detailed information about the purposes for which PEF technique can be used in meats and seafoods has been tried to be given in this comprehensive review study.

Turkish embroidery art rose to its peak during Ottoman period and became known as the art of the palace. Turks are known for their authenticity in their art and culture and they produced many works of calligraphy art under the influence of Islam and Arabic alphabet. This work details the collection of calligrahphy examples on the fabrics within the Bursa Foundation Museum. Bursa Foundation Museum is a branch of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Arts. The inspected collection was donated to Bursa Emir Sultan Mosque and Bursa Muradiye Mosque. They were approved to be exhibited by the General Directorate of Foundations with the protocol numbered E.58968 and dated 14.04.2016. The collection is comprised of various fabrics and fibers which have a wide range of colors and emroideries. They were photographed and given informative labels. The works of calligraphy were documented according to their pronounciation, meaning, period, size and decorations. The collection received an inspection with regard to their documentation entries. Interest on novel thermal technologies has been steadily increased in recent years because of the some undesirable changes in the quality characteristics of foods and the low energy efficiency during conventional heating. Novel methods that meet customer expectations for minimally processed and high-quality products and enable high energy efficiency production can be alternative to conventional methods. In this review, induction heating and ohmic heating processes, which are novel electrical heating methods, are explained, and working principles and the differences between their application areas are discussed. The studies on the continuous system pipe line and cooking applications designed for both heating methods are presented. Based on the food processing systems established for similar purposes, the applicability of both heating methods to foods is compared, and their potential application areas are suggested. Geleneksel olmayan bir işleme yöntemi olan elektriksel deşarj ile işleme (EDM), çeşitli sertlikteki metalleri işlerken yüksek yoğunluklu elektriksel deşarjlardan faydalanır. Olağanüstü iletkenlikleri ve dayanımları sebebiyle, son zamanlarda EDM'de de karbon nanotüpler (CNT'ler) araştırılmaktadır. Fakat CNT iplik (CNTY) ile işleme tam olarak incelenmemiştir. Bu çalışma, saf bir CNTY’nin bir EDM takım malzemesi olarak kullanılmasını önermektedir. Bunun uygulanabilirliği, karakterizasyon ve işleme testleri ile incelenmiştir. Ölçümler, (100 µm daha az bir çapa sahip) CNTY’nin 2.66x104 S/m elektriksel iletkenliğe ve 1.76x103 A/cm2 akım taşıma kapasitesine sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Hava ve hidrokarbon yağ dielektrikler içinde gerçekleştirilen işleme testlerinde çelik ve alüminyum iş parçaları kullanılmıştır. Hava dielektrik ortamında kayda değer bir işleme ve daha uzun bir takım ömrü elde edilmiştir. Hava ortamındaki metal oksidasyonunun, işlemeyi arttırırken takım ömrünü azalttığı düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca, kalın (>100 µm) çok-katlı takımlar, işleme süresini hava ortamında 14 saniyeden, yağ ortamında ise 2.5 saniyeden fazla arttırmaktadır. Takım ömrünü sınırlayan diğer etkenlerin, iş parçası üzerinde ısı kalkanı görevi gören (muhtemelen karbür) bir katmanın oluşumu ve elektriksel deşarjların yoğunluğunun artması olduğu düşünülmektedir. Buna ek olarak, alüminyumun hava dielektrik ortamında işlenmesinde düşük voltaj (16 V) ve tepe akımı (0.1 A), takım ömrünü ve kesme verimini arttırmaktadır. Düşük bir vuruş oranı (%25), verimi iyileştirmiş ve takım aşınmasını azaltmıştır. Ayrıca, sadece mekanik sürtünmenin kesme verimi üzerinde çok küçük bir etkisi olmuştur. Buna ilaveten, pozitif takım polaritesi kesme verimini düşürürken takımın eksenel iki yönlü hareketi ise takım ömrünü uzatmıştır. Electrical discharge machining (EDM), a non-traditional material removal method, utilizes high-intensity electrical discharges when machining metals of various hardnesses. Due to their extraordinary conductivity and strength, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are recently being explored in EDM too. However, material removal with CNT yarn (CNTY) has not been studied thoroughly. This work suggests the use of a pristine CNTY as an EDM tool. Its feasibility has been examined through characterization and material removal experiments. The measurements show that the CNTY (100 µm) multi-ply tools extend machining time by more than 14 s in the air and nearly 2.5 s in the oil. The formation of a heat-shielding (possibly carbide) layer on the workpiece and intensified discharges could be other factors limiting tool life. In addition, decreased voltage (16 V) and peak current (0.1 A) increase tool life and cutting efficiency when machining aluminum in the air dielectric. A low duty cycle (25%) increased efficiency and reduced tool wear. Furthermore, mechanical frictions had only a minor effect on cutting efficiency. In addition, positive tool polarity decreased cutting efficiency, while reciprocal tool movement increased tool life.

In this study, the effect of machining parameters on the surface quality of the machining of different surfaces of the Oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) tree species used in the woodworking and furniture industry was investigated and it was aimed to determine the optimum machining parameters. The experiments were carried out at two different dept of cut (depth of cut 3.33 mm or 2.5 mm per machining, total 10 mm dept of cut) by using two different 8 mm diameter cutters at 8000, 12000 and 16000 rpm at feed rates of 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm/min. Surface roughness measurements were made according to ISO 4287 by using a test device with the stylus method on the surfaces obtained in different sections. Ra and Rz roughness measurements were performed on the surfaces obtained as a result of machining. It has been observed that the machining parameters have an effect in different rates on the surface roughness and the results are evaluated by comparing with the literature. The lowest average roughness (Ra=5,18 µm) value was obtained in 3-layer processing, 1000 mm/min feed rate at 16000 rpm, cutter type 2 for measurements perpendicular to the fibers on floor surfaces. The lowest values (Ra=2,84 µm) on the side surfaces were obtained as 4-layer machining, 1000 mm/min feed rate at 16000 rpm, cutter type 1 for measurements perpendicular to the fibers., Bu çalışmada, ağaç işleri ve mobilya endüstrisinde kullanılan Doğu kayını (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.) ağaç türüne ait numunelerin farklı yüzeylerinin (zemin ve yan) işlenmesinde işleme parametrelerinin yüzey kalitesi üzerine etkisi incelenerek optimum işleme koşullarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Denemeler 8 mm çapında iki farklı kesici kullanılarak 8000, 12000 ve 16000 dev/dk devir sayılarında 1000, 1500 ve 2000 mm /dk ilerleme hızlarında ve farklı iki işleme adımında (her işlemede 3,33 mm ile 3 adımda veya 2,5 mm kesme derinliği ile 4 adımda 10 mm derinlikte alan boşaltma) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Farklı kesitlerde elde edilen yüzeylerde iğne taramalı yöntem kullanılarak ISO 4287’ ye göre Ra ve Rz pürüzlülük ölçümleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. İşleme parametrelerinin yüzey pürüzlülüğü üzerinde farklı oranlarda etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuçlar literatür ile karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde Ra için zemin yüzeyde liflere dik yapılan ölçümlerde en düşük pürüzlülük değerleri 2 no’lu kesici tipinde, 16000 dev/dk devir sayısında, 1000 mm/dk ilerleme hızında ve 3 işleme adımında 5,18 µm elde edilmiştir. Yan yüzeyde liflere dik yapılan ölçümlerde ortalama pürüzlülük (Ra) değerleri 1 no’lu kesici tipinde, 16000 dev/dk devir sayısında, 1000 mm/dk ilerleme hızında ve 4 işleme adımında 2,84 µm elde edilmiştir.

Ağaç kültü ve hayat ağacı kavramları insanoğlunun çok eski çağlardan bu yana ortak kültürel unsurlarından biri olmuştur. Köklü bir geçmişi olan tekstil el sanatlarında da hayat ağacı motifi, estetik kurallara göre imgesel kimlik niteliği teşkil ederek farklı tarihi süreçlerde sembol olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu sembol, eski dönemlerden günümüze kadar Orta Asya’dan Anadolu’ya, Türk kavimleri arasında hayatın ve sonsuzluğun simgesi olarak algılanmıştır. Bu bağlamda tekstil sanatında önemli bir yer teşkil etmiştir. Türk işleme sanatlarında kullanılan hayat ağacı motifi çoğunlukla kompozisyonların ana temasını oluşturmuştur. Kullanılan tekniğin sınırlamaları çerçevesinde kimi zaman natüralist kimi zaman ise stilize formlarla ender örnekler uygulanmıştır. Bu araştırmada tekstil işleme sanatında kullanılan hayat ağacı motifi araştırılmış ve araştırmalar ışığında işleme sanatına ilişkin tasarım ve uygulama çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma tarama yöntemine dayalı betimsel bir araştırmadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan işlemeler çeşitli müzelerin koleksiyonlarında bulunan ve literatür araştırması sırasında orijinal niteliklere sahip olan eserlerdir. Çalışmanın amacı Türk işleme sanatında kullanılan hayat ağacı motifinin Türk kültür tarihi içindeki yeri ve önemini belirlemektir. Bu bağlamda yeni tasarımların oluşturulması ve bu sanatın gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması oldukça önemlidir. Çalışma geleneksel Türk motifini gün ışığına çıkararak maddi kültür ürünlerine ilişkin işleme sanatına ait mirasın belgelenmesi, kültürümüzü yansıtan değerlerin özelliklerinin korunması ve bundan sonraki araştırmalara kaynak oluşturması bakımından önem arz etmektedir., Tree cult and tree of life concepts have been one of the common cultural elements of humankind since ancient times. In textile handicrafts, which have a deep-rooted history, the tree of life motif has been used as a symbol in different historical processes, forming an imaginary identity quality according to aesthetic rules. This symbol has been perceived as the symbol of life and eternity among Turkish tribes from Central Asia to Anatolia from ancient times to the present. In this context, it has an important place in textile art. The tree of life motif used in Turkish embroidery arts mostly formed the main theme of the compositions. In the framework of the limitations of the technique used, rare examples were applied sometimes with naturalistic and sometimes with stylized forms. In this research, the tree of life motif used in the art of textile embroidery was investigated and in the light of the researches, design and application studies were carried out on the art of embroidery. This study is a descriptive research based on scanning method. The embroideries constituting the sample of the study are the works found in the collections of various museums and having original qualities during the literature search. The aim of the study is to determine the place and importance of the tree of life motif used in Turkish embroidery art in Turkish cultural history. In this context, it is very important to create new designs and transfer this art to future generations. The study is important in terms of documenting the heritage of the art of embroidery related to material cultural products by bringing the traditional Turkish motif to light, preserving the characteristics of the values that reflect our culture and creating a source for future research.

Bu çalışmada TR22 Bölgesi’nde 2017-18 üretim yılında bölgedeki yağlık zeytin işleyen işletmeler incelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda işletmelerin %55.00’inin 2000 yılı sonrası kurulduğu, yıllık ortalama %54.76 kapasite kullanım oranı ile çalıştıkları, %21.00’inin 2 fazlı, %32.00’sinin 3 fazlı ve %47.00’sinin klasik sistem kullandığı ve %81.00 oranında naturel sızma zeytinyağı ürettikleri bulunmuştur. İşletmelerin üretimde kaliteli hammadde temin edilememesinden, maliyetlerin yüksek olmasından, periyodisiteden dolayı atıl kapasite kullanımından ve atık yönetiminin yetersizliğinden sorunlar yaşadığı bulunmuştur. Pazarlamada ise zeytin fiyatlarının düşüklüğünden, taklit-tağşiş ve kayıtdışı üretimden dolayı yaşanan pazar kayıplarından sorunlar yaşamıştır. İhracatta ise dış pazarlarla ilgili personel ve bilgi eksikliği konusunda sorunlar yaşamıştır. Bunun yanısıra desteklemelerde prosedürlerin fazla olmasından ve sektörde denetimlerin yetersiz olmasından dolayı sorunlar yaşadıkları bulunmuştur.

Giysi tasarımında uygulanan süsleme tekniklerinden basit nakış teknikleri, giysilerin estetik görünümüne hizmet eden, temeli ilk insanlık tarihi kadar eski olan geleneksel tekniklerdir. Basit nakış teknikleri, giysi tasarımlarında özellikle yaka ve yaka çevresi, kol ağzı, ön ortası, etek ucu gibi alanlara uygulanmaktadır. Farklı tekniklerin birlikte ya da yalnız kullanımıyla sınırsız görünümüm elde edilebildiği bu tekniklerle tasarımcılar, ürünlerini estetik görünüme kavuşturmakta aynı zamanda diğer tasarımlardan farklılaşmasını sağlamaktadırlar. Çağdaş tasarımlarda el emeğine dayanan basit nakış tekniklerinin kullanımı günümüz tasarımcıların tasarımlarına Çalışmanın amacı, giysi tasarımında kullanılan basit nakış teknikleri hakkında bilgi vermek ve bu tekniklerin kullanımı ile oluşturulmuş farklı giysi tasarımları oluşturmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada, basit nakış teknikleri ile ilgili bilgileri derleme ve konu ile ilgili örnek çalışma yapabilme olanağı sunan betimsel yöntem tercih edilmiştir. Belirlenen amaç ve yöntem doğrultusunda çalışma kapsamında, süsleme detaylarına ağırlık verilen sekiz adet giysi tasarımı yapılmıştır. Tasarımlarda farklı kumaşlardan üretilen giysilerin süslemesinde, farklı malzemeler, farklı basit nakış teknikleri ile kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, her giysi tasarımı için bir pafta hazırlanmıştır. Her bir tasarım için hazırlanan pafta içeriğinde giysinin dijital ortamda hazırlanmış illüstrasyon çizimine, teknik çizimine ve motif, desen çizimine yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca desen ayrıntı görselleri ve nihai ürün görsellerinin yer aldığı paftalarda ürünün model ve süsleme özellikleri de açıklanmıştır.

28. Impacts of Different Processing Techniques on Chemical and Mineral Components of Wild-Grown Edible Mushroom (Lactarius semisanguifluus R. Heim & Leclair)

Lactarius semisanguifluus R. Heim & Leclair (L. semisanguifluus) is one of the wild-grown edible mushroom types. Wild-grown edible mushrooms are widely consumed or sold by people in fresh form. However, due to the high respiration ratio and moisture content, the mushrooms lose their quality immediately after harvest. This causes their shelf life to be very short. For this reason, it is necessary to know the best storage conditions as well as its nutritional content. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different treatment techniques (drying, canning, and freezing) on the chemical components (dry matter, crude protein, crude fats, ash, and total carbohydrates) and the mineral matters (Na, K, Mg, Ca, P, Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn) of the L. semisanguifluus. The results show that the moisture content varied between 8.86% to 90.43% (w/w) in the fresh, dried, canned and frozen mushroom samples. The protein content of the with and without processed samples was in the ranged of 1.21% and 18.53%. The ash and fat content of the all samples ranged from 2.79% to 5.94% and from 0.53% to 7.99%, respectively. Additionally, the carbohydrate content was found to be between 0.85 and 58.68%. The energy values of the all samples were estimated to be between 27.56-380.75 kcal 100g-1 and 115.63-1608.20 kJ 100g-1. Potassium (108.6-2367.4 mg 100g-1) and phosphor (37.4-182.7 mg 100g-1) were the most abundant minerals in the analysed samples. The chemical composition of the frozen samples had the closest results to the fresh samples. The results of the present research showed that L. semisanguifluus has a high nutritional quality especially the freezing process is the best protection technique rather than the canning process and was suitable especially for consumption in low caloric diets. Based on overall evaluations, it can be deduced that especially dried mushroom samples can be used in powder form (such as spices and enrichment component in many food formulations) in the production of various food products due to their high nutritional components.

Fakat ucayakli ayna sikistirma sirasinda parcasinin seklinin bozulmasina sebep olur. Bu calismada delik profilinin sekil degistirmesi sayisal olarak incelenmistir. Tam elastik sekil degistirme kosullarinda farkli malzeme ve cidar kalinligina sahip parcalarin boyutsal degisimi sonlu elemanlar yontemi ile incelenmistir. Gerilim altindaki silindiril parca ucgen bir sekil almaktadir. Malzeme ve cidar kalinliginin ucgenlesme acisindan onemli degiskenler oldugu gorulmustur. Ucgenlesme sonucunda parcanin istenilen sekil toleranslarinda kalip kalmayacagini tahmin edebilmek icin kalin cidarli basincli kaplar teorisine dayanan basit hesaplamalar onerilmistir. Bu kolay yontem, seri uretimi yapilan silindirik parcalarin iskarta oraninin dusurulmesine imkân vermektedir.

They are used in clothing designs especially for the areas such as neck, neck circumference, arm pain, front center, hemline. Designers provide aesthetic impression of their products and at the same time differentiate them from other designs with simple hand embroidery techniques where unlimited appearance can be obtained with the use of different methods employed, either alone or together. Applied simple hand embroidery techniques based on hand work in contemporary designs add cultural values, sustainability and originality into the designs of today's designers. The aim of this study is to provide information about simple embroidery techniques and to create different clothing design with this technique. For this aim, we apply descriptive method in this study which gives chance to unify information from simple embroidery techniques and work with this case. In the context of article aim and method, eight clothing design focusing mostly embroidery details were created. Different materials are applied with various simple hand embroidery techniques in the decoration of clothing made from different fabrics in designs. In this study, technical illustrations are prepared for each clothing designs. These drawings for each designs cover digital, technical, motifs and patterns aspects of the clothes. The model and decoration features of the products are also explained in these illustrations with pattern details and final product images.

The objective of this study was to develop an algorithm based on image processing for detecting misshapen potatoes from the mass of potatoes and obtaining homogeneous products. The database used in this research included the digital images acquired from Agria variety of Ardabil (Iranian northern-west) potato with different sizes and shapes. A combination of morphological features including geometrical features like length, width and features related to shape such as roundness were taken into consideration in identifying irregular potatoes from others employing elongation and Fourier descriptors. Using statistical principal component analysis (PCA), seven features were selected as the most prominent for classification. The experimental results showed that the proposed method achieves a high level of accuracy with merely seven selected discriminative features, obtaining an average correct classification rate of 98% for training set. Additionally, regular potatoes were separated into small, medium and large categories with 100% accuracy. According to the results, the developed algorithm based on image processing can be used in classifying products with no proper shape. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Hoeing as mechanically and the use of herbicide as chemically are the most effective methods in controlling weed in sugar beet farming. Excessive use of chemical tussle results in serious environmental problems in the world. In addition, it affects human and animal health adversely. The weeds between rows in sugar beet fields were determined by using image processing techniques and a model of variable level herbicide application was applied on them with precision spraying robot developed during the study. When the nozzle height of precision spraying robot is 30 cm and the speed of it is 8.928 cm s-1, a value of 55.22% saving of drugs was achieved when compared to conventional pesticide applications in a pesticide application on an area of 1.6 m2. The amount of spraying liquid applied on weeds by precision spraying robot with 8 different speeds was measured. It was found that increasing the speed of the spraying robot causes a decrease in the amount of spraying liquid applied on weeds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu çalışma, Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsünde Doğan Yavaş'ın danışmanlığında Coşkun Dağdeler tarafından yazılan "Bursa vakıf kültürü müzesi hat levhaları" adlı yüksek lisans tezine dayanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Türk işleme sanatı, Osmanlı döneminde en parlak devrini yaşamış ve bir saray sanatı olarak zirve noktasına ulaşmıştır. Kültür ve sanatta özgün olan Türkler, İslâm kültür ve medeniyeti doğrultusunda Arap yazısına bağlı olarak ortaya çıkmış güzel sanatların bir dalı olan hat sanatını en üst düzeye çıkarmışlardır. Bu çalışmada, Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kültür ve Sanat Dairesi Başkanlığı Müzeler Şube Müdürlüğü bünyesinde hizmet veren Bursa Vakıf Kültürü Müzesi’nde bulunan kumaş üzerine işlemeli hat örnekleri incelenmiştir. Bu incelenen eserler, Bursa Emir Sultan Camii ve Bursa Muradiye Camii’ne bağışlanmış ve 31.03.2016 tarih E.58968 sayılı protokolün 14.04.2016 tarihinde onaylanmasıyla Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından Bursa Vakıf Kültürü Müzesi’nde sergilenmesi için verilen eserlerden oluşmaktadır. Muhtelif renklerde kumaş ve ipliklerle, çeşitli işleme teknikleriyle işlenen her bir eser için fotoğraflar çekilmiş ve bilgi fişleri oluşturulmuştur. Hat levhalarının okunuşları ve açıklamaları, dönemleri ve hattatları, ebatları, bezemelerinde kullanılan işleme teknikleri ve süsleme özellikleri gibi bilgiler envanter kayıtlarına dayanarak incelenmiştir. Turkish embroidery art rose to its peak during Ottoman period and became known as the art of the palace. Turks are known for their authenticity in their art and culture and they produced many works of calligraphy art under the influence of Islam and Arabic alphabet. This work details the collection of calligrahphy examples on the fabrics within the Bursa Foundation Museum. Bursa Foundation Museum is a branch of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Arts. The inspected collection was donated to Bursa Emir Sultan Mosque and Bursa Muradiye Mosque. They were approved to be exhibited by the General Directorate of Foundations with the protocol numbered E.58968 and dated 14.04.2016. The collection is comprised of various fabrics and fibers which have a wide range of colors and emroideries. They were photographed and given informative labels. The works of calligraphy were documented according to their pronounciation, meaning, period, size and decorations. The collection received an inspection with regard to their documentation entries.

In the food industry, using of new preservation and processing technologies, which may be an alternative to traditional methods, is becoming increasingly important. These novel and particularly non-thermal techniques have very important advantages such as enhancing food safety, reducing quality losses, and increasing production efficiency. One of these new technologies, Pulsed electric field (PEF) technique, stands out as a novel method that has been emphasized in recent years. It is used for different purposes in both liquid and solid foods, also various studies are carried out for the optimization. On the other hand, recently, there are several studies using PEF technique in meats and seafoods for the preservation purposes, as well as other positive effects (improving the functional properties of the product, accelerating processes such as drying, curing and freezing). In this regard, detailed information about the purposes for which PEF technique can be used in meats and seafoods has been tried to be given in this comprehensive review study. Gıda endüstrisinde, geleneksel yöntemlere alternatif olabilecek yeni muhafaza ve işleme teknolojilerinin kullanımı giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Bu yeni ve özellikle ısıl olmayan tekniklerin gıdaların güvenliğini arttırma, kalite kayıplarını azaltma, üretimde verim artışını sağlama gibi çok önemli avantajları bulunmaktadır. Bu yeni teknolojilerden biri olan Vurgulu Elektrik Alan (Pulsed Electric Field-PEF) tekniği, son yıllarda üzerinde önemle durulan bir yöntem olarak göze çarpmaktadır. Bu yöntem hem sıvı hem de katı gıdalarda değişik amaçlarla kullanılmakta olup optimizasyona yönelik çeşitli çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Diğer yandan, PEF tekniğinin et ve su ürünlerinde de gerek muhafaza amacıyla, gerekse diğer meydana getirdiği olumlu özellikler (ürünün fonksiyonel özelliklerini geliştirmesi, kurutma, kürleme ve dondurma gibi işlemleri hızlandırması) nedeniyle kullanımına dair yakın zamanda çeşitli çalışmalar mevcuttur. Bu bakımdan bu derleme çalışmasında, PEF tekniğinin et ve su ürünlerinde hangi amaçlar için kullanılabileceği üzerine detaylı bilgiler verilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Hatay yöresi, tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerin doğal olarak yayılım gösterdiği zengin bir ekosistemesahiptir. Yörede doğal olarak yetişen 2.000 civarında çiçekli bitki türü bulunurken bu türlerinyaklaşık 300 tanesi endemik bitkiler sınıfında yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Hatay yöresindeyaygın olarak ticareti yapılan tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerin üretimi, işlenmesinin yanı sıra sektörünmevcut sorunlarının belirlenmesi ve bu sorunlara yönelik olarak çözüm önerilerinin getirilmesiamaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, Hatay yöresinde tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerinçoğunlukla doğadan toplanarak elde edildikleri, ürünleri işleyen firmaların kaliteli ve yeterlimiktarda hammadde temin etme konusunda sorunlar yaşadıkları, baharat amaçlı bitkilerin yarımamul olarak yöre dışına pazarlandıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca yörede tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerkonusunda örgütlenme ve koordinasyonun oldukça zayıf olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yöredekatma değeri yüksek türlerde kültürel üretimin yaygınlaştırılmasına yönelik çalışmalara ağırlıkverilmesi, bütün paydaşların tek bir çatı altında temsil edildiği ve ortak kararların alındığı merkezibir yönetim yapısının oluşturulması, üretici ve işleyen firmalara yönelik teşvik ve desteklerinartırılması, hedef pazarlara yönelik etkili pazarlama ve tanıtım stratejilerinin geliştirilmesi veHatay ilinde çok yönlü çalışmalar yapacak bir tıbbi ve aromatik bitkiler araştırma merkezininkurulması, sektörün yöredeki gelişimi için önem taşımaktadır., Hatay province has a rich ecosystem that medicinal and aromatic plants grow naturally all across the province. There are about 2.000 flowery plants in the vegetative pattern of the province, and it is around 300 of them are endemic plants. The main purpose of this study was to present the production and processing structure of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) which are commonly traded in the Hatay Province of Turkey. In addition, it was aimed to examine the problems of the sector in the Province, and to bring solutions about those problems. According to the research results: in Hatay Province, MAPs are mostly collected from nature; in terms of local processing enterprises, there are problems about obtaining sufficient raw materials; and spice plants are marketed as semi-processed to the other districts. There is a lack of producer organization of MAPs in the region. In order to improve MAPs industry in the province, it is necessary to establish a MAPs coordination and management unit where all shareholders are represented. It should be focused on: extending MAPs cultivation, providing subsidies for producers and processing enterprises, developing effective marketing and publicity strategies for target markets, and establishing a MAPs research institution.

Nutrition is the essential subject for life. Food processes are developed in the base of some treatments such as drying. In the research, nutritive values of dried eggplant, dried leek, dried cauliflower, dried broccoli were determined after having been dried under sunlight or in the greenhouse due to season or weather conditions. Investigated main nutrients of dried eggplant were as follows; thiamin (Bl), riboflavin (B2), retinol (A), pyridoxine (B6), ascorbic acid (C), folic acid, magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), sodium (Na), phosphor (P), zinc (Zn), ferrous (Fe), copper (Cu). In the study, same food components of dried leek, cauliflower and broccoli were established except phosphorus (P) and copper (Cu) values but niacin and calcium (Ca) values were present. Conditions of drying process are exposed to some factors such as heat, air oxygen and sun light that affect the nutrients especially vitamins. The increase of dried weight of investigated vegetables cause the nutrients to concentrate in dry basis. Studied dried vegetables should generally contribute to nutrition level because of their maintained nutrient compounds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SelçukluDöneminde sıkça kullanılan keçe ev eşyaları ve Mevlevi tarikatıkıyafetlerinde yer alan giysi parçaları özellikle Konya ilinde keçeciliğin birmeslek olarak ilerlemesini hızlandırmıştır. Bu zengin miras içinde Konyailinde üretilen özgün keçe örneklerinin bir kısmı günümüze ulaşarak ilmerkezinde bulunan çeşitli müzelerde teşhir edilmektedir. The fact that ithas met the needs in many areas has increased the demand for feltproducts and the felt has become the traditional feature of both materialsand products. Felt household items and clothing pieces that arefrequently used in the Seljuk Period and Mevlevi Tarik attire acceleratedthe progress of felting as a profession, especially in the province of Konya.In this rich heritage, some of the original felt samples produced in Konyaprovince are exhibited in various museums located in the city center byreaching daily. The scope of the study, Turkey's felt making display whiledepicting the architecture referred to as Rumi Konya Museums and arton the land with embroidered felt rug samples. It was aimed to examineand document the construction and decoration features of the three-embroidered felt prayer rugs selected from the Mevlâna Museum andEthnography Museum collections in the study. In this context, it isimportant to convey the characteristics of being a concrete culturalheritage that reflects the socio-cultural characteristics of the society, aswell as the qualities of functional objects in the historical period in whichfelt praying rugs are used.

45. Effects of Soybean Meal Processing Method on the Broiler Immune System.

Various methods of processing soybean meal were evaluated for their effects on the immune system parameters of broilers in a completely randomized design. The experiment was carried out in 200 male Ross broilers, grouped as quadruple. Soybean meal in the chicken feed was prepared by five different processes; i.e. raw soybean meal, autoclaved (121°C) for 20 min, autoclaved for 30 min, microwaved at 46°C, 540 watt for 7 min and baked at 120°C for 20 min. The serum antibody titers of broiler vaccinated against infectious bronchitis was determined at 23 days that against Newcastle was done at 27 days, that against Gumboro was done at 30 days and that against sheep red blood cells was done at 28 and 42 days. Results showed that baked soybean meal could help promoting the broiler serum antibody titers against various vaccines as well as against sheep red blood cells at 28 days (P<0.05). In this study, the effects of cutting parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth over cutting forces have been investigated. For this purpose, nickel based super alloy Inconel 718 has been processed with ceramic cutting tool having 1.2 mm insert radia on a digitally controlled turning lathe (CNC) without using cooling water. Different cutting processes having the values of five different cutting speeds (225, 300, 350, 400, 500 m/dak) and five different feed rates (0.05, 0.075, 0.1, 0.125, 0.15 mm/rev) and two different cutting depths (1mm, 2mm) have been implemented. In the experiments, the lowest main cutting force was obtained as (A-1-V) 192 N in 500 m/min cutting speed, 0.05 mm/rev feed rate speed and 1 mm depth of cut, the highest main cutting force was obtained as (B-5-I) 780 N in 225 m/min cutting speed, 0.15 mm/rev feed rate speed and 2 mm depth of cut. Aim: In immunohistochemistry, antibodies are used to detect and localize antigens in cellular compartments in sections taken from frozen or paraffin blocks. Currently, computerized image processing techniques are widely available to analyze immunohistochemically stained tissues; however, the image analysis programs are generally highly specific and expensive. We aimed to show the feasibility of computer assisted image analysis (CAIA) by using two computer programs currently in widespread use. Methods: Two available computer programs, Adobe Photoshop CS and ImageJ, were used to separate areas in the same tissue sections stained with NOS antibody and labeled with peroxidase in human endometrial tissue. CAIA was made on the relevant images using these two programs. Results: There was a significant difference among the groups according to staining intensity, in all three grades of staining (P < 0.001, P <0.05, and P < 0.001, respectively). Subjective assessment of the images was in good agreement with objective CAIA. One (+) positive stained area was greater in group 1 and less in group 2 and group 3 (P < 0.001 and P < 0.001, respectively). Group 3, which was considered as the most intensely stained by the observer, had the greatest amount of ++ staining. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu çalışmada, Hatay yöresinde yaygın olarak ticareti yapılan tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerin üretimi, işlenmesi ve pazarlama şekillerinin ortaya konulması, sektörün mevcut sorunlarının belirlenmesi ve bu sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerilerinin getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın ana materyali, Hatay yöresinde faaliyet gösteren üretici, doğadan toplayıcı ve ürünleri işleyen işletmelerden anket yolu ile toplanan birincil verilerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca, pazarlama, örgütlenme ve AR-GE gibi konularda, Hatay yöresine yönelik somut ve uygulanabilir öneriler getirilmesi amacı ile tıbbi ve aromatik bitkiler sektörünün en gelişmiş olduğu Batı Akdeniz ve Ege Bölgelerinde çeşitli kurum ve kuruluşlardan derinlemesine görüşme yolu ile elde edilen birincil verilerden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, Hatay yöresinde tıbbi ve aromatik bitkilerin çoğunlukla doğadan toplanarak elde edildikleri, pazarlama organizasyonunun genel olarak etkin olmadığı, ürünleri işleyen firmaların kaliteli ve yeterli miktarda hammadde temin etme konusunda sorunlar yaşadıkları, baharat amaçlı bitkilerin yarı mamul olarak yöre dışına pazarlandıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca yörede tıbbi ve aromatik bitkiler konusunda örgütlenme ve koordinasyonun oldukça zayıf olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yörede katma değeri yüksek türlerde kültürel üretimin yaygınlaştırılmasına yönelik çalışmalara ağırlık verilmesi, bütün paydaşların tek bir çatı altında temsil edildiği ve ortak kararların alındığı merkezi bir yönetim yapısının oluşturulması, üretici ve işleyen firmalara yönelik teşvik ve desteklerin artırılması, hedef pazarlara yönelik etkili pazarlama ve tanıtım stratejilerinin geliştirilmesi ve bir tıbbi ve aromatik bitkiler araştırma merkezinin kurulması, sektörün yöredeki gelişimi için önem taşımaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tıbbi ve aromatik bitki, üretim, işleme, pazarlama organizasyonu, Hatay. The main purpose of this study was to present the production, processing, and marketing structure of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) which are commonly traded in the Hatay Province of Turkey. The main material of the study consisted of primary data which were collected through questionnaires from both MAPs producers, and processing enterprises in the region of Hatay. Also, in order to offer suggestions to the Hatay Province about some issues such as marketing, organization, and R&D activities; Depth Interviews were conducted in the Western Mediterranean and Aegean Regions where MAPs industry is the most developed in Turkey. According to the research results: in the Hatay Province, MAPs are mostly collected from nature; marketing organization is generally inefficient; in terms of local processing enterprises, there are problems about obtaining sufficient raw materials; and spice plants are marketed as semi-processed to the other districts. Also, there is a lack of producer organization of MAPs in the region. In order to improve MAPs industry in the province, it is necessary to establish a MAPs coordination and management unit where all shareholders are represented. Furthermore, focus should be on: extending MAPs cultivation, providing subsidies for producers and processing enterprises, developing effective marketing and publicity strategies for target markets, and establishing a MAPs research institution.Key Words: Medicinal and aromatic plant, production, processing, marketing organization, Hatay. 264

Düğüm atarak yapılan dokuma tekniği Orta Asya'da Türklerin yaşadığı bölgede ortaya çıkmış ve dünyaya buradan yayılmıştır. Türkler aynı çağlarda düz dokuma tekniği kullanarak kilim, zili sumak gibi düz dokuma yaygılar yapmışlardır. Elle yapılan bu ürünler dokunduğu günden günümüze gelene dek her gün daha da değer kazanmakta eşsiz sanat ürünlerine dönüşmektedir. Bu çalışmada ise geleneksel motifler özel bir teknikle vaketa deri üzerine işlenerek modern bir teknik geliştirilmiş ve deriye sanatsal bir boyut kazandırılmıştır., The weaving technique of tying knots emerged in the region where Turks lived in Central Asia and spread to the world. In the same ages, Turks used flat weaving techniques to produce flat weave rugs such as rugs, zili and sumak. From the day they’ve been weaved, these hand-made products are transformed into unique art products, gaining more and more value every day. In this study, traditional motifs were processed with a special technique on vegetable tanned leather and a modern technique was developed and an artistic dimension was added to the leather.
