The widespread use of computer technologies in engineering and architecture provides essential contributions to engineers and architects in solving design problems. The computational design approach, which emerged depending on computer science and design theories and software and hardware technologies, is reflected in today's engineering and architectural works. In this study, store plan alternatives were prioritized by the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Analytic Network (IT2 FANP) methodology, and the best alternative of store plans was selected. In addition, the results obtained for the four methods were compared. Type-2 Fuzzy Set can reduce the effects of vagueness and uncertainties. These sets make it probable to model uncertainties directly. There are very few studies on the IT2 FANP method for architectural design area in the literature. Our aim is to contribute to the literature by increasing the studies in this field.

The use of Ready-Mixed Concrete started to be used after the 1970s and its importance has gradually increased in recent years. The rapid development of the construction industry in our country in recent years has contributed to the rapid development of Ready-Mixed Concrete plants. Because of this reason, in this study the concrete plant's location is tried to be determined using the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Analytic Network (IT2 FANP) methodology. As a result of this methodology, the ranking of the alternative concrete plant's location is found as Basaksehir, Ikitelli, and Bagcilar, respectively. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study in the literature that searches an alternative concrete batching plant location using Interval Type-2 (IT2) Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. The advantage of this study is that it enriches this aspect, which is seen as missing in the literature, and is a pioneer in the studies to be done in this field., Hazır Beton kullanımı 1970'li yıllardan sonra kullanılmaya başlanmış ve önemi son yıllarda giderek artmıştır. Ülkemizde inşaat sektörünün son yıllarda hızla gelişmesi, Hazır Beton santrallerinin de hızla gelişmesine katkı sağlamıştır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, Aralıklı Tip-2 Bulanık Analitik Ağ (IT2 FANP) metodolojisi kullanılarak beton santralinin yeri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu metodoloji sonucunda alternatif beton santralinin lokasyon sıralaması sırasıyla Başakşehir, İkitelli ve Bağcılar olarak bulunmuştur. Yazarların bilgisine göre bu çalışma, literatürde Aralıklı Tip-2 (IT2) Bulanık Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (MCDM) tekniklerini kullanarak alternatif bir beton santrali yeri araştıran ilk çalışmadır. Bu çalışmanın avantajı, literatürde eksik görülen bu yönü zenginleştirmesi ve bu alanda yapılacak çalışmalarda öncü olmasıdır.

Pituitary adenomas are a group of disease with broad different clinical characteristics and complications. We aimed to present the data of patients being followed in a single center and discuss the pituitary adenomas based on the literature. Two hundred and twenty patients followed at Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Medical School of Ondokuz Mayis University, were included into study. Clinical characteristics, laboratory findings and treatment modalities were examined retrospectively. 59% of patients were female and 41% were male. Mean age during the diagnosis was 43.7 years. Pituitary macroadenomas were 62% of all adenomas and 73% of pituitary adenomas were functional. Among the functional adenomas, the most frequently seen types were prolactin-secreting adenoma and growth-hormone secreting adenoma. Treatment options were surgical treatment (67%), medical treatment (20%) and radiotherapy (7%). Post-operative complications were developed in 27 (13.2%) of patients. In patients with non-functional adenoma, the cure after surgery was detected as 19.6% and the remission after the surgery was detected as 8.9%. In this study, the characteristics of the pituitary adenomas were found similar to the literature in general. The early diagnosis of the disease has a significant importance in terms of treatment and the response to the treatment.

Bu çalışmada Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yöntemlerinden bulanık Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci (B-AHS) ve VIKOR metotları bir arada kullanılarak melez bir model oluşturulmuş ve tarımsal yöntemler ile elde edilen ürün seçim problemine sürdürülebilir bir çözüm önermek için karar destek sistemi geliştirilmiştir. There are various approaches to agricultural production. Products obtained using genetic engineering methods are more cost-effective. However, this unnatural process has negative effects on nature in the long run. Industrial farming methods use a high level of resources while reducing the damage to nature and the environment. Organic agriculture, on the other hand, aims to protect both the environment and consumer health by eliminating the negative effects of industrial production methods and genetic engineering. In this study, a hybrid model was created by using fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (B-AHS) and VIKOR methods together, and a decision support system was developed to propose a sustainable solution to the agricultural method selection problem. In the first step of the method, Satisfaction (C1), Economy (C2), and Environment (C3) criteria were evaluated with B-AHS and the weights were determined. The second step evaluated the proposed agricultural methods with the VIKOR method. This research aims to establish a complete framework for assessing and rating the suitability of agricultural technologies. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, an application was made on a real problem with current data.

In recent years, tourism has been one of the major business areas for countries. Especially after the 1980's the share of tourism from individual earnings has increased day by day. For this reason, investments in this sector have to be feasible and logical. But in the literature, there are nearly no issues of engineers—which types of tourism or which investment questions must be discussed and calculated numerically. For the numerical example in this study, firstly, we decided the tourism type planned to invest in Turkey with fuzzy ANP from an engineering point of view. Then, three real investment projects from Turkey were found for this tourism type and prioritized using fuzzy ANP. Using these weights and financial data belonging to these projects, we apply fuzzy multi-objective decision-making to see the most feasible investment among these three investments. This application is not only for Turkey but can also be applied to different countries using the same decision-making techniques. This paper brings an engineering point of view to the tourism literature and helps investors with feasible investments. To the authors' knowledge, this will be the first study that deals with tourism investments numerically., Son yıllarda turizm, ülkeler için önemli iş alanlarından biri olmuştur. Özellikle 1980'lerden sonra turizmin bireysel kazançtan aldığı pay gün geçtikçe artmıştır. Bu nedenle bu sektöre yapılacak yatırımların yapılabilir ve mantıklı olması gerekmektedir. Ancak literatürde, hangi turizm türleri veya hangi yatırım sorularının sayısal olarak tartışılması ve hesaplanması gerektiği ile ilgili neredeyse hiç mühendislik çalışması yoktur. Bu çalışmada sayısal örnek için, ilk olarak mühendislik açısından bulanık ANP ile Türkiye'de yatırım yapmayı planladığımız turizm türüne karar verdik. Daha sonra bu turizm türü için Türkiye'den üç gerçek yatırım projesi bulunmuş ve bulanık ANP kullanılarak önceliklendirilmiştir. Bu projelere ait bu ağırlıkları ve finansal verileri kullanarak, bu üç yatırım arasında en uygun yatırımı görmek için bulanık çok amaçlı karar verme uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulama sadece Türkiye’ye değil, aynı karar verme teknikleri kullanılarak farklı ülkelere de uygulanabilmektedir. Bu makale, turizm literatürüne mühendislik bakış açısı getirmekte ve yatırımcılara yapılabilir yatırımlar konusunda yardımcı olmaktadır. Yazarların bilgisine göre bu çalışma, turizm yatırımlarını mühendislik bakış açısı ile sayısal olarak ele alan ilk çalışma olacaktır.

In today's economic conditions, the reduction of inventory costs of enterprises is one of the important factors that lead to a decrease in production costs and increase in competitiveness. The aim of this study is to prevent stock deficits and surpluses that may occur by designing an applicable and effective raw material-stock management system. For this purpose, stock analyzes were made by using ABC, Spherical Fuzzy AHP and ELECTRE methods and an algorithm with four steps was proposed. In the first step, units were classified by using ABC analysis based on the unit price and demand quantities. In the second step, the Spherical Fuzzy AHP method was used. Here, criteria such as the availability of the product, substitutability, the delivery time of the order, and the effect of the product prices from currency fluctuations are discussed. These criteria have been evaluated together with business managers and engineers responsible for production and the criterion weights have been calculated with a group decision making approach. In the third step, by using the criterion weights in the ELECTRE method, the products are sorted and grouped according to this order. In the last step, the results obtained from ABC and SF-AHP - ELECTRE were combined and an evaluation scale was obtained. Within the scope of this study, an application of the proposed method for the furniture industry is included., Günümüz ekonomik koşullarında işletmelerin stok maliyetlerini azalmaları, üretim maliyetlerinin düşmesine ve rekabet gücünün artmasına yol açan önemli faktörlerden bir tanesidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, uygulanabilir ve etkin bir hammadde-stok yönetim sistemi tasarlayarak oluşabilecek stok açıklarının ve fazlalıklarının önüne geçmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ABC, Küresel Bulanık AHS ve ELECTRE yöntemleri beraber kullanılarak stok analizleri yapılmış ve dört adımdan oluşan yeni bir yöntem önerilmiştir. Birinci adımda ABC analizi kullanılmış, yıllık maliyet ve kullanım miktarlarına göre malzemeler sınıflandırılmıştır. İkinci adımda, Küresel Bulanık AHS metodu kullanılmıştır. Burada ürünün bulunabilirliği, ikame edilebilirliği, verilen siparişin ulaşma süresi ve malzeme fiyatlarının dalgalanmalardan etkilenmesi gibi kriterler ele alınmıştır. Bu kriterler işletme yöneticileri ve üretimden sorumlu mühendislerle beraber değerlendirilmiş ve grup karar verme yöntemi ile kriter ağırlıkları hesaplanmıştır. Üçüncü adımda, kriter ağırlıkları ELECTRE yönteminde kullanılarak ürünlerin sıralanması ve bu sıralamaya bağlı gruplanması sağlanmıştır. Son adımda ise ABC ve KB-AHS - ELECTRE’den elde edilen sonuçlar bir araya getirilmiş ve bir değerlendirme skalası elde oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışma kapsamında önerilen yöntemin mobilya sektörü için bir uygulamasına yer verilmiştir.

The supply chain plays a key role for companies that want to gain an advantage in the competitive market. Most of the companies are want to make their supply chain processes more reliable and sustainable with technological developments. With Industry 4.0, augmented reality is one of the most important technological developments in daily lives and companies' supply chain processes. In this study, the effects of augmented reality tools, which companies will increasingly recognize, are discussed on digital supply chain processes. The purpose of this study is to integrate the increasingly augmented reality tools in the supply chain in the most appropriate way and determine the most suitable one for the supply chain processes among the hardware augmented reality tools. Three augmented reality tools were evaluated with 4 main criteria and 12 sub-criteria. The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Ordering Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods are among the most important multi-criteria decision-making methods, are used in the decision-making process. As a result, the obtained results were evaluated and managerial implications were presented., Tedarik zinciri, rekabetçi pazarda avantaj elde etmek isteyen şirketler için kilit bir rol oynamaktadır. Şirketlerin çoğu, teknolojik gelişmelerle tedarik zinciri süreçlerini daha güvenilir ve sürdürülebilir hale getirmek istemektedir. Endüstri 4.0 ile artırılmış gerçeklik, günlük yaşamda ve şirketlerin tedarik zinciri süreçlerinde en önemli teknolojik gelişmelerden biri haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, şirketlerin giderek daha fazla kullanacağı artırılmış gerçeklik araçlarının dijital tedarik zinciri süreçlerine etkileri tartışılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, tedarik zincirinde giderek artan artırılmış gerçeklik araçlarını en uygun şekilde entegre etmek için Artırılmış Gerçeklik (AR) araçları arasından tedarik zinciri süreçlerine en uygun olanı belirlemektir. Üç artırılmış gerçeklik aracı 4 ana kriter ve 12 alt kriter altında değerlendirilmiştir. Karar verme sürecinde en önemli çok kriterli karar verme yöntemleri arasında yer alan Bulanık Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci (AHP) ve İdeal Çözüme Benzerliğe Göre Tercih Sıralaması İçin Bulanık Teknik (TOPSIS) yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilerek yönetimsel çıkarımlar sunulmaktadır.

With the industrial revolution and the continuation of the production of motor vehicles in the historical process, motor vehicles became a part of daily life. This rapid change in transportation has increased the social and economic mobility in the cities and caused the city population to increase and increase rapidly. As cities continue to grow rapidly with the population, the journey in cities has increased their distance and duration. These developments in transportation have helped populate cities with more than millions. Therefore, the demand for transportation has increased in high-population cities. The high number of demands in urban transportation and mobility in transportation paved the way for intensive vehicle traffic. Traffic obstructions in the city affect daily life badly. Solutions were tried to be produced for transportation problems. Every solution brought was slow and subsequently resulted in increased demand.Transportation problems caused by fast and unplanned urbanization negatively affect the quality of life in cities. The bicycle, which is actively used in various countries of the world, is considered as a means of transportation on its own. Unfortunately, the use of bicycles could not be integrated into urban transport, since the importance of cycling in our country is not given sufficient importance and the required infrastructure is not created. Especially in our big cities, transportation planning based on motor vehicles has limited the transportation of pedestrians and bicycles and it has become impossible to reach from one point to another by pedestrian or bicycle in big cities. However, bicycle, which is a comfortable and convenient means of transportation for short trips, is the vehicle that should be preferred in terms of environment, health and traffic. Bicycle is one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transportation. Compared to motor vehicles, bicycle-based manpower is a means of transportation that does not contain any material that can cause noise and air pollution. Preferring to use bicycles in business, school, or shopping trips in daily life provides important benefits not only for the environment but also for human health. The use of bicycles, which allows people to do physical activity, causes problems such as cardiovascular diseases and obesity to decrease. Considering all these, the importance and necessity of bicycle transportation are clearly seen.It is desired to increase the use of bicycles as a solution to the traffic problem, which is one of the biggest problems of today. To make the bicycle roads more accessible and safe, many bicycle road applications are made in our country and the world. Although the use of bicycles in our country is not very common in large cities, it is more common in medium and small-scale cities. Security can be shown as the reason for this. As well as the safety of the bicycle roads, the level of comfort these roads provide to the rider is also very important. Bicycle routes are needed to use bicycles in a big city like Istanbul. Every bike path has features that it should have. It is very important to apply and maintain these rules, which must be followed when designing bicycle paths.In this study, the cycle path route between Bakırköy and Yenikapı has been investigated. A literature review was conducted in the study. With the literature review, information was obtained about the design of bicycle paths by considering the regulations and standards. As a result, the design criteria of the cycle path were determined according to the standards in the regulation. Also, it has been determined which parameters the bicycle users pay attention to in choosing the route. The examinations were based on standards and regulations. The inspections made along the route are shown in the study with photos. The research detailed with photographs was evaluated. Solutions and suggestions regarding the factors affecting the use of bicycles are presented.

Evrensel Tasarım (UD), adaptasyon ve özel tasarım gerekmeden tüm insanlar tarafından en geniş şekilde kullanılabilecek ürün ve ortamların tasarımıdır. Ortamlar, ürünler ve iletişim tasarımı dahil olmak üzere çok çeşitli tasarım disiplinlerini içerir. Uzmanlardan oluşan bir çalışma grubu (mimarlar, ürün tasarımcıları ve çevre tasarım araştırmacıları), tasarım sürecini mevcut tasarımları değerlendirerek, tasarımcıları ve tüketicileri daha yararlı ürünlerin ve ortamların özellikleri hakkında eğitmek için kullanılacak yedi UD ilkesini belirlemiştir. Bu ilkeler “Eşit Kullanım”, ”Kullanımda Esneklik”, “Basit ve Sezgisel Kullanım”, “Algılanabilir Bilgi”, “Hatalara Dayanım”, “Düşük Fiziksel Çaba” ve “Yaklaşım ve Kullanım için Boyut ve Mekan” dır. Bu ilkelerin önceliklendirilmesi veya ağırlıklandırılması, Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yöntemi ile ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, bu ilkelerin, ÇKKV yöntemleri olan AHP ve ANP yöntemleri, bulanık sayılar kullanılarak önceliklendirilmiş ve her iki yöntemin sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın ana fikri, uzmanların görüşleri ile sayısal yöntemler kullanılarak Evrensel Tasarım ilkelerini ağırlıklandırmaktır. Evrensel tasarımın 7 ilkesini kendi içinde derecelendirmeyi içeren bu çalışma, tasarımcılar için yol gösterici olacaktır. Yazarların bilgisine göre bu çalışma, Evrensel Tasarım ilkelerini, uzman görüşlerine göre bu teknikler kullanılarak ağırlıklandıran literatürdeki ilk disiplinlerarası çalışma olacaktır., Universal Design (UD) is the design of products and environments that can be used by all people in the widest possible way without the need for adaptation and custom design. It involves a wide range of design disciplines, including environments, products, and communication design. A working group of developers (architects, product designers and environmental design researchers) guided the design process without evaluating existing designs and identified seven UD principles to be used to educate designers and consumers about the properties of more useful products and environments. These principles are “Equitable Use”, “Flexibility in Use”, “Simple and Intuitive Use”, “Perceptible Information”, “Tolerance for Error”, “Low Physical Effort”, and “Size and Space for Approach and Use”. Prioritizing or weighting these principles can be handled as a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem. For this reason, in this paper we study the prioritizing of these principles using two of MCDM techniques with fuzzy numbers, namely AHP and ANP, and the results of both algorithms are compared. The main contribution of this paper is to prioritize UD principles using numerical methods with experts’ view. This work, which includes grading the principle 7 of Universal Design in itself, will be guiding for designers. To the authors’ knowledge, this will be the first interdisciplinary study which uses these two techniques for evaluating UD principles for developers.

Çalışma kapsamında, Van Gölü Havzasındaki Süphan ve Meydan volkanizmalarının bulunduğu bölgeden alınan perlit örneklerinin mineralojik ve jeokimyasal özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Mineralojik özellikleri belirleyebilmek için örnekler üzerinde İnce Kesit ve XRD, jeokimyasal özelliklerin belirlenmesi için kimyasal analizler yapılmıştır. İnce kesit analizlerinde, tüm perlit örneklerinde yoğun olarak volkanik cam gözlenmektedir. Perlit örneklerinde en yoğun gözlenen mineraller biyotit ve feldispat kristalleridir. Perlit içerisinde görülen kuvars kristallerinin ise perlitik doku içinde ve kenarlarından itibaren kemirildiği tespit edilmiştir. XRD analizlerinde, tüm örneklerde feldispat ve kuvars kristallerinin pikleri gözlenmektedir. Jeokimyasal analizler sonunucunda, perlit örneklerinin SiO2 içerikleri %68 ile %73 arasında değişmektedir. TAS kayaç sınıflamasına göre perlitik kayaçların riyolitten türediği görülmektedir. Within the scope of study, mineralogical and geochemical features of perlite in Van Lake Basin containing Süphan and Meydan area have been investigated. In order to determine the mineralogical properties, thin section analysis and XRD have been performed on the samples and for the determination of geochemical properties chemical analysis have been done. In thin section analysis, intensively volcanic glass is observed in all perlite samples. The most intense observed phenocrysts in perlite samples were biotite and feldspar crystals, whereas quartz crystals have been found to be gnawed in perlite tissue. In XRD analyzes, peaks of feldspar and quartz crystals are observed in all samples. As a result of geochemical analyzes, the SiO2 contents of perlite samples ranged from 68% to 73%. It is observed that perlitic rocks are derived from rhyolite according to TAS rock classification.
