Bu çalışmanın amacı radius başı (RB) tiplerinin morfometrik ölçüm farklılıklarını belirlemektir. Çalışmaya 49 kuru radius kemiği dahil edildi. Radius tipleri belirlendikten sonra dijital kumpas ile morfometrik ölçümler ya-pıldı. Parametreler; radius uzunluğu, radius yüksekliği, RB’nın enine çapı, RB’nın ön-arka çapı, tuberositas radii’nin enine çapı ve yüksekliği, incisura ulnaris’in uzunluğu ve enine çapı olarak belirlendi. RB sınıflandırma-sında sonuç olarak; 20 kemiğin düzensiz, 15 kemiğin oval ve 14 kemiğin yuvarlak tipte olduğu belirlendi. Tüm grup ortalamaları; RB uzunluğu, RB yüksekliği, RB transvers çapı, RB ön-arka çapı için sırasıyla 207,99± 21,97 mm, 9,45±1,68 mm, 19,94±3,15 mm, 20,20±3,09 mm. olarak hesaplandı. Tüm grup ortalamaları; tuberositas radii enine çapı ve tuberositas radii yüksekliği, incisura ulnaris’in yüksekliği, incisura ulnaris’in enine çapı için sırasıyla 12,07±1,3 mm, 25,36±2,78 mm, 13,86±1,56 mm, 5,27±0,8 mm olarak hesaplandı. One Way Anova analizi sonuçlarına göre, RB tipleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı (p>0,05). Tüm parametrelerde RB tipleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı (p>0,05)., The aim of this study is to determine morphometric measurements difference of radial head (RH) types. 49 dry radial bones were included in the study. After determining the types of radius, morphometric measurements were made with digital calliper. The parameters were determined as the length of radius, height of the radius, transverse diameter of RH, anterior-posterior diameter of RH, radial tuberosity transverse diameter and height, length and transverse diameter of ulnar notch. As the result of RH classification, it has been determined that; 20 bones had irregular, 15 bones had oval and 14 bones had round type. In order to on all group average; radius length of RH, the height of RH, transverse diameter of RH, anteroposterior diameter of RH were calculated as 207.99±21.97 mm, 9.45±1.68 mm, 19.94±3.15 mm, 20.20±3.09 mm respectively. In order to on all group aver-age; transverse diameter of radial tuberosity, height of radial tuberosity, the height of ulnar notch, transverse diameter of ulnar notch were 12.07±1.3 mm, 25.36±2.78 mm, 13.86±1.56 mm, 5.27±0.8 mm respectively. Ac-cording to the results of One Way Anova analysis, no statistically significant difference was found between RH types (p>0.05). No statistically significant difference was found between RH types in all parameters.

Amaç : Tüm iskeletdeğerlendirmelerinde alt ekstremite durumunu değerlendirmek için önemli birbelirteç olan Q açısı dengeyi de etkileyen bir parametredir. Bu çalışmada;sağlıklı genç bireylerde patellafemoral açı (Q açısı) ve stork balance standtestinin (SBST) somatotip ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlandı.Gereç ve Yöntemler:Çalışma kapsamında üniversite öğrencisi 105’si erkek, 86’sı kadın toplam 191 sağlıklıgenç bireyin Q açısı, SBST ve somatotip ölçümleri yapıldı. Somatotip ölçümüHeath-Carter formülü ile yapıldı. Somatotip hesaplamaları “Somatotype forWindows 1.2.6 Trial Version” programı ile yapıldı. Bulgular:Çalışmaya katılan 191 bireyde endomorphic mesomorph (71), mesomorph-endomorph (27),balanced ectomorph (15), central (17), balanced mesomorph (24), mesomorphicendomorph (19),mesomorphic ectomorph (18) olmak üzere 7 farklı somatotip tespitedildi. Yapılan Kruskal Wallis H Testine göre erkek ve kadınlarda belirlenenher bir somatotipte Q açısı ve SBST’de istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farkolmadığı belirlendi (p>0.05). Sonuç: Çalışmamızdadeğerlendirilen SBST ve Q açısı skorları ile somatotipler arasındaistatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmadığı belirlendi. Literatürdeayrıntılı somatotip karakter analizi kullanılarak yapılmış oldukça sınırlısayıda çalışma olduğu, çalışmamızın literatürde bu alanda görülen eksikliğingiderilmesini sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir., Aim: The Q angle, which is an important marker for assessing lower extremity status in all skeletal evaluations, is also a parameter influencing balance. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship of patellafemoral angle (Q angle) and stork balance stand test (SBST) with somatotype in healthy young subjects. Material and Methods: Q-angle, SBST and somatotype measurements of 191 healthy young individuals (105 male, 86 female) were made within the context of the study. Somatotype measurement was made with Heath-Carter formula. Somatotype calculations were made with “Somatotype for Windows 1.2.6 Trial Version” program. Results: In the 191 individuals who participated in the study, 7 different somatotypes were found as endomorphic mesomorph (71), mesomorph-endomorph (27), balanced ectomorph (15), central (17), balanced mesomorph (24), mesomorphic endomorph (19), mesomorphic ectomorph (18). According to the Kruskal Wallis H Test conducted, it was found that there were no statistically significant differences in Q angle and SBST of each somatotype found in males and females (p>0.05). Conclusion: It was found that there were no statistically significant associations between SBST and Q angle scores and somatotypes assessed in our study. It is thought that since there are limited numbers of studies in literature conducted by using detailed somatotype character analysis, our study will contribute to making up the deficiency in this field.

Amaç: Fiziktedavi uygulamalarında sıkça kullanılan sadece ESWT yönteminin lateralepikondilitte etkisi ile kinesyo bantlama yöntemiyle kombine kullanılmasınınetkisini ve bu yöntemlerin birbirlerine üstünlüğünü belirlemektir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya lateral epikondilit tanılı 27-65 yaş arası 96 hasta (69kadın, 27 erkek) dahil edildi. Hastalar iki gruba ayrıldı. Yöntem 1 grubundalateral epikondil’e ESWT ile her üç seansta uygulandı. Ardından hastanın önkolbölgesine, kinesyo bantlama uygulandı. Sadece ESWT uygulanan yöntem 2 grubunda,lateral epikondile ESWT uygulandı. Hastaların tümüne istirahat halinde, dirençli elbileği ekstansiyonu,palpasyon ile ağrı değerlendirmelerinde visuel analog scala (VAS), genel sağlıkdurumu değerlendirmesinde HAQ (health assessment questionnaire)değerlendirmeleri uygulandı.Bulgular: Yöntem 1 ile erkekhastaların tedavisinde, dirençli elbileği ekstansiyonda ağrı azalmasının yöntem2’ye göre daha etkili olduğu belirlendi. Aynı zamanda Yöntem 1 ile kadınhastaların tedavisinde palpasyon ile ağrı değerlendirmesinde, yöntem 2’ye göreanlamlı fark olduğu belirlendi. Diğer tüm parametrelerde anlamlı iyileşmelerbelirlendi fakat istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilemedi. Sonuç:Lateralepikondilitte yaygın olarak kullanılan ESWT yöntemi iyileşmede etkili bulundu.Bantlama yönteminin de kadınlarda proprioseptif iyileşmeyi arttırma etkisi veerkeklerde dirençli elbileği ekstansiyonu ile ağrıyı azaltması sonucu, buyöntemin ESWT yöntemiyle birlikte destekleyici bir tedavi olarak uygulanmasınınetkili olacağı göstermektedir., Aim: To determine the effect of only ESWT method to the combined use of ESWT method with kinesio taping method on lateral epicondylitis and determine the superiority of these methods. Material andMethods: 96 patients (69 females, 27males) between 27-65 age diagnosed with lateral epicondylitis were included inthe study. The patients were divied in two groups. In Method 1 group,ESWT was applied on lateral epicondyle in each of the three sessions. Followingthis, kinesio taping was applied to the forearm of the patient. In Method 2 group applied only ESWT on lateralepicondyle. Visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to assessment of pain withrest, resistant wrist extension, and palpation. HAQ (health assessment questionnaire) was used for theassessment of general health condition. Results: Method 1 showed that the reduction of pain in the wrist extension was more effective in the treatment of male patients compared to method 2 and also there was a significant difference in the evaluation of pain with palpation in the treatment of female patients compared to method 2. Significant healing was found in all other parameters however, no statistically significant difference was found. Conclusion:The result of the effects of taping method with ESWT technique in increasingproprioceptive healing in females and decreasing pain with resistant wristextension in males, was concluded that“the combined use of kinesio taping method with ESWT method is effective thanusing only ESWT method”.

This study was aimed to investigate possible harmful effects of formaldehyde (FA) exposure on the morphology of fetus liver and kidney development during pregnancy and also to determinate possible protective role of chrysin (CH) against these harmful effects. For this aim, after pregnancy was induced, 58 female rats were divided into 6 groups. Serum physiologic (SF) was injected to the Group I rats intraperitoneally (i.p.). 20 mg/kg CH was given to the Group II via gavage. 0.1 mg/kg FA was applied to the Group III (i.p.), 1 mg/kg FA was injected to Group IV (i.p.) 0.1 mg/kg FA was given to Group V i.p., and 20 mg/kg CH was given to the same group via gavage. 1 mg/kg FA was applied to Group VI i.p., and 20 mg/kg CH was given to the same group via gavage. Fetuses were taken from each pregnant rat with cesarean section on the 20th day of the pregnancy. The morphological analyses of the fetuses, liver and kidney; biochemical and histological analyses of the liver and kidney were performed. The fetal body, liver and kidney weight of the FA groups demonstrated a statistically significant decrease the compared to control group. Also the FA-1 group were observed histopathological changes on the fetus liver and kidneys. FA exposure causes harmful effects on fetus the liver and kidneys. CH reduces the negative effect on morphological variables statistically. Although CH is insufficient to fix the histopathological changes that occur in the liver, damaging effects that occur in the kidney decreased statistically

Objective: To determine the effect of flutamide on uterine histology and to ascertain whether flutamide regulates body weight gain in the ovariectomized rat model. Materials and Methods: We used 36 sexually mature female Wistar-Albino rats in this study. The study was performed in the Department of Medical Science Application and Research Centre of Dicle University, Diyarbakir. We divided the model rats into 3 groups: group 1- control group, group 2- sham-operated group and group 3- bilaterally ovariectomized group. In addition, we gave flutamide to group 3. Results: We found that the body weight was higher in the ovariectomized rats than the control rats, unlike the decreased uterine net weight. Furthermore, body weight decreased slightly after flutamide therapy, however uterine net weight increased. After flutamide applications, the length of uterinal epithelium, the number of uterinal glands, infiltration of the stromal cells increased and the lumen of uterinal glands were dilateded. Conclusion: As a result, an improvement was observed after flutamide applications while bilateral ovariectomy was determined to cause atrophy in the uterine epithelium of rat. Our study may be source for further research examining the relationship between the androgen receptor antagonist flutamide and reproductive function in female rats. Materyal ve Metod: 36 adet Wistar Albino türü dişi sıçanlar Dicle üniversitesi DÜSAM merkezinden seçildi. Sıçanlar 3 guruba ayrıldı. Grup 1 - kontrol grubu, grup 2 - sham-operasyon, grup 3-bilateral ovarektomi ve flutamid verilen grup. Bulgular: Çalışmada ovarektomize ratların vücut ağırlığı kontrol ratlardan daha fazla bulunurken, uterus ağırlığının azaldığı gözlemlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte flutamid kullanımı sonrasında vücut ağırlığı çok önemli olmamakla beraber azalırken uterus ağırlığı artmıştır. Flutamid uygulamasından sonra uterus epitelinin yüksekliği, uterinal bezlerin sayısı artarken bezlerin lumenlerinde genişleme gözlemlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bilateral ovarektomi ratların uterus epitelinde atrofi şekillendirirken flutamid uygulamasının düzeltici etkilerinin olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada bir androjen reseptörü olan flutamid ile dişi ratların üreme fonksiyonları arasındaki ilişkinin daha ilerki çalışmalara kaynak oluşturabileceği görüşündeyiz. Our purpose in this study was to investigate and compare the morphological relationship between the true chordae tendineae (CT) and the false chordae tendineae (FCT). One hundred and forty-seven hearts (8 humans, 23 dogs, 91 sheep, 25 goats) were investigated in our study. In terms of CT number, while the difference between humans and sheep and goats, and dogs and sheep and goats was significant statistically (p < 0.05), the difference between humans and dogs was less significant than the others. The difference between sheep and goats was not significant statistically (p > 0.05). The number of FCT were not significant (p > 0.05) in the other species while the difference between humans and dogs was significant statistically. The numerical relationship between CT and FCT was positive only in dogs (p = 0.006, r = 0.671), but the difference was not significant statistically (p > 0.05) in the other species. The greatest number of FCT ran from the papillary muscle to the septum, and the others ran from the anterior wall to the septum, the posterior wall to the septum, the septum to the septum and the papillary muscle to the papillary muscle. Histologically CT contain fibrous tissue, FCT contain fibrous or fibromuscular tissue and sometimes also contain conduction tissue and blood vessels. Arrhythmias can arise from FCT because they contain not only fibrous tissue but also muscular and conduction tissue.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk toplumundaki Gebe Fetuslarının (USG) Ultrasonagrafik incelenme ihtiyacı ve halihazırda ölçümlerde kullanılan USG cihazlarının menşei olan ülke ortalamalarına göre ayarlanmış olması nedeniyle, gerçek ortalamalara ulaşmadaki sıkıntıları ortadan kaldırmaktır.

ÖZET Çalışmamızda insan ve köpek, koyun, keçi gibi hayvan kalplerindeki kalp kas köprülerinin makroskopik ve mikroskopik özellikleri incelendi ve sınıflandırıldı. Koroner arter ve dalları üzerindeki kalp kas köprüleri için toplam 67 kalpte çalışıldı. Bu 67 kalp 'ten 47'sinde (% 70.2) kalp kas köprüsü bulundu. Kalplerin 7'si insana, 20' si köpeğe, 20'si koyuna ve 20'si de keçiye aitti. Köprüler 20 köpek kalbinden 15'inde (% 75), 20 koyun kalbinden 12' sinde (% 60), 20 keçi kalbinden 14'ünde (% 70) ve 7 insan kalbinden 6'sında (% 85.7) bulundu. Köprüyü oluşturan kas tabakasının kalınlığı ve genişliğine, köprünün lokalizasyonuna, köprü ve koroner arter arasındaki mesafeye ve üzerinde köprü olan arterin kendisine eşlik eden ven ile olan ilişkisine özel bir önem verildi. Detaylı incelemede kalp kası içeren 47 kalp arasında, kalp kas köprülerinin genişliğinde (1.3 ile 41 mm), kalınlığında (0.07 ile 1.7 mm), kalp kas köprüsü ve koroner arter arasındaki mesafede (0 ile 714 um) büyük farklılıklar vardı. Kalp kas köprülerinin lokalize oldukları bölgelere göre beş topografik tipe ayrıldıkları görüldü; ramus interventricularis paraconalis veya subsinosus üzerindeki kalp kas köprüleri, ramus interventricularislerin 1. derecedeki dalları üzerinde bulunan kalp kas köprüleri, ramus interventricularislerin 2.derecedeki dalları üzerinde bulunan kalp kas köprüleri, multiple kalp kas köprüleri, sulcus coronarius'taki aretria coronaria dextra ve sinistra ve bunların ventricul'lere verdiği dalları üzerindeki kalp kas köprüleri. Çalışmamızın amacı insan ve köpek, koyun, keçi, gibi hayvanların kalp kas köprülerinin ve altındaki damarların detaylı morfolojik özelliklerini incelemekti. SUMMARY The Macroscopically And Microscopically Investigation Of Myocardial Bridges In our study, myocardial bridges in the hearts of humans and certain animals such as dog, sheep, goat were described and classified by means of macroscopical and microscopical observations. A total of 67 hearts were studied and examined for myocardial bridges over the coronary arteries and/or their branches. Myocardial bridges were found in 47 hearts out of 67 (70.2%). The specimens belonged to 7 humans, 20 dogs, 20 sheeps, 20 goats. Bridges were found in 15 hearts of dogs out of 20 (75%), and in 12 hearts of sheeps out of 20 (60%), and in 14 hearts of goats out of 20 (70%), and in 6 hearts of humans out of 7 (85.7%). Special attention was paid to localization, width, and thickness of the muscular layer of the bridges, distance between the myocardial bridges and coronary arteries, and to the relation of the overbridged artery to the commitant veins. Among 47 myocardial bridges-containing specimens examined in detail, there were large variations in the width (1.3 to 41 mm) of myocardial bridges and thickness (0.07 to 1.7 mm) of myocardial bridges and distance (0 to 714 um) between the myocardial bridges and coronary arteries. The localization of the myocardial bridges were discerned in five topographical types; myocardial bridges over ramus interventricularis or subsinosus; myocardial bridges over a first grade ramus of a ramus interventricularias; myocardil bridges over second grade ramus of a ramus interventricularis; multiple myocardial bridges, and myocardial bridges over arteria coronaria dextra et sinistra in sulcus coronarius and their branches into ventricules. The aim of our study was to give a detailed morphological description of the characteristics of the myocardial bridges and underlying vessels in humans, and certain animals such as dog, sheep,goat. 48
