Ülkemizde 1990’lı yıllar sonrasında korunan alanlara yönelik Master Plan çalışmaları hız kazanmış, tüm korunan alanlar için Uzun Devreli Gelişim Planları (UDGP)’nın hazırlanmasına önem verilmiş ve planlama çalışmalarının tamamlanması ve uygulamaya geçilebilmesi amacıyla Temmuz 2000’de Milli Parklar ve Av Yaban Hayatı Genel Müdürlüğü Uzun Devreli Gelişme Planı Büro Koordinatörlüğü oluşturulmuştur. Bu tarihten itibaren 33 alan için UDGP’nın hazırlanmasına yönelik özel sektör kuruluşlarına ve üniversitelere ihale açılmıştır. 2022 yılına kadar toplam 48 adet Milli Parkımız (884.566) ve 259 adet Tabiat Parkı (106.775) bulunmaktadır ve 2022 yılına kadar 38 adet milli parkın master plan çalışmaları tamamlanmıştır. Planların hazırlanmasında 3 temel aşama izlenmektedir. Bu aşamalar ilk olarak Analitik Etüt ve Veri Toplama, ikinci aşama Sentez ve Değerlendirme, üçüncü aşama Planlama ve son olarak Onay aşamasından oluşmaktadır. Planlama öncesinde ise, planın hazırlamasına ilişkin idari ve yasal süreçler başlatılarak (ihale edilecekse ödenek ayrılması, şartnamelerin hazırlanması, ihale süreci, sözleşmenin imzalanması vb) alanın özelliklerine göre planlama ekibi oluşturulur. Analitik Etüt ve Veri Toplama aşamasında alanın Konumu, Doğal Yapı, Tarihi ve Kültürel Yapı, Sosyo-ekonomik Yapı, İdari ve Yasal durum, Teknik ve Sosyal Altyapı ve Çevre Sorunlarına yönelik veriler elde edilerek Sentez aşamasında değerlendirmeye yapmaya hazır hale gelmektedir. Veriler ekolojik, sosyo-ekonomik, rekreasyon ve turizm ve yasal yönetsel özellikler dikkate alınarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra doğal, antropojenik, ve yasal sınırlayıcı ve kısıtlayıcılar ortaya konarak sorun/tehdit-olanak/fırsat analizi yapılarak değerlendirme yapılarak plan kararları hazırlanmaktadır. Plan kararları iki genel başlık altında hazırlanmaktadır; Genel ve Özel Hükümlerdir. Genel hükümler alanın tamamına yönelik düzenlemelerden oluşurken, özel hükümler ise yapılan bölgelemeye göre yapılan düzenlemeleri içermektedir. Korunan alanların sağlıklı bir şekilde varlığını sürdürmesi doğru bir korunan alan planlaması ve yönetimine dayanmaktadır. Korunan alan planlanması alanın sahip olduğu kaynak değerlerinin ve biyolojik çeşitliliğin sürdürülebilir yönetimi ve kullanımı için nelerin, nasıl, hangi bütçeyle ve kimlerle yapılacağını, uygulama kuralları ve bununla ilişkili yöntemleri ortaya koymayı gerektirmektedir (Griffin, 2002). Bu bağlamda, alanın tüm doğal ve kültürel kaynak değerlerinin uzun dönemde sürdürülebilir korunması ve yönetimi için politika, strateji ve etki değerlendirme, ekonomik planlama, finansal planlama, işletme planlaması ve tür iyileştirme planlaması gibi tanımlayan önemli alt planlarla birlikte bütüncül olarak ele alınması gerekmektedir.

Ekosistem hizmetleri (ES), insanların ekosistemlerden aldığı doğrudan veya dolaylı faydaları ortaya koymak ve ölçmek için geliştirilmiştir. Faydalanılan hizmetler Milenyum Ekosistem Değerlendirmesi raporuna göre; kaynak sağlayan, düzenleyen, kültürel ve destekleyen hizmetler olmak üzere 4 ana grup olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Kaynak sağlayan ve kültürel hizmetler insanların doğrudan, düzenleyen ve destekleyen hizmetler ise dolaylı olarak faydalandığı hizmetlerdir. Çalışmada Kırıkkale kentinde Karakeçili ile Köprüköy arasında Kızılırmak üzerinde yapılmış tarihi bir köprü Çeşnigir Köprüsü ve Kanyonu’nun sağladığı kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri (kültürel çeşitlilik, manevi ve dini değerler, bilgi sistemleri, eğitim değerleri, ilham, estetik değerler, sosyal ilişkiler, yer duygusu, kültürel miras değerleri, rekreasyon ve eko-turizm) değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulguların kültürel ekosistem hizmetlerine dayalı mekânsal planlama, rekreasyon ve turizm planlanması konularında yetkililere karar alma süreçlerinde yardımcı olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Botanic gardens have changed over time, as have their uses and social roles. They were initially developed in the 16th century for the study of medicinal plants, but between the 17th and 19th centuries, they expanded to Asia, America and Africa; they turned into active sites for the introduction, cultivation and dissemination of economically significant plants. The necessity for biodiversity protection and sustainable use gained prominence in the 20th century. Botanical gardens are faced with the challenge of addressing problems that go beyond the confines of the garden by making social and environmental responsibility a primary focus of their missions. Therefore, to a better understanding of the role of botanic gardens and to highlight the importance of biodiversity, this study focuses on the historical development of botanic gardens and their functions and the current conditions of botanic gardens in Türkiye.

Hocamı tanımam, 90’lı yılların ortalarında Ruşen Hocamızın yeğeni Mahpeyker ablamın eşi, aynı zamanda Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü Başkanı, Prof. Dr. Ali Özbilen hocamızın sayesinde oldu. Hocamın Trabzon’lu olduğunu da bu vesileyle öğrenmiş bulunuyordum. Sonraki zaman diliminde hocam, Trabzon’a çeşitli vesilelerle geldi ve ben de her defasında katıldığı etkinlikte bulunmaya özen gösterdim.

Kamusal açık ve yeşil alanlar içerisinde bulunan ve kent halkı tarafından yoğun olarak kullanılan önemli elemanlardan birisi kent parklarıdır. Kent parkları genellikle kent merkezinde ya da kent merkezine yakın yerlerde bulunmaktadır. Kent parkları, kültürel değerler, politik ve sosyo-ekonomik yapı ile biçimlenmektedir. Kent parkları kent insanına sosyal, psikolojik, işlevsel ve rekreasyonel açıdan birçok olanak sunmakta, kent kimliğine ve kent ekolojisine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Amasya Adliye Kent Parkı’nın yakın çevresinde yer alan binaların işlevleri doğrultusunda kente sağladığı katkıları, kent halkının parkı kullanım nedenleri ve yoğunluğunu ortaya koymaktır. Kent parkının yakın çevresinde çeşitli kamu kurum ve kuruluşları, eğitim kurumları, iş merkezleri, yeme-içme yerleri, konut alanları gibi kullanımlar yer almaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında 100 kişiyle kent halkı anketi ve yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Adliye Kent Parkı’nın toplanma ve odak noktası olma özelliğine sahip olduğu, rekreasyonel etkinlikler açısından her yaş gurubuna yönelik olarak kullanılmadığı tespit edilmiştir., One of the important elements in the public open and green lands and used extensively by the people of the city is urban parks. Urban parks are usually located in the city center or close to the city center. Urban parks are shaped by cultural values, political and socio-economic structure. Urban parks offer many opportunities for urban, social, psychological, functional and recreational aspects and contribute to urban identity and urban ecology. The aim of this study is to reveal the contributions of the people in the vicinity of Amasya Courthouse Urban Park in line with the functions of the buildings, the reasons and density of the city's use of the park. There are various public institutions and organizations, educational institutions, business centers, eating and drinking places, and residential areas etc. placed near by the urban park. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted with 100 people face to face. As a result of the study, it was determined that the Amasya Courthouse Urban Park has the characteristic of being a meeting point and it is not used for all age groups in terms of recreational activities.

Due to Turkey's reliance on imported electricity, it has been using hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) to cover some of its electrical energy needs since 2011. However, HPP projects, which do not take landscape sensitivity into account, cause the ecological integrity of the basins and the ecosystem structure to deteriorate. This study presents the Tokat-Niksar HPP project field example in Turkey's Central Black Sea region with its steep slopes, rich forest and creek vegetation, protected endemic plants and wildlife, cultural heritage dating back to 3000 BC agricultural activities, and long-established local culture. The study, in fact, aims to develop a landscape restoration plan that considers the sensitivity of landscapes in the HPP project area. For this purpose, a landscape sensitivity analysis consisting of water, habitat, visibility, erosion functions, and multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) determining priority of functions conducted with experts were performed. According to the results, the water function was found to have the highest, and the visibility the lowest priority in the ranking. Consequently, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-degree sensitive areas with very high, high, and moderate landscape sensitivity were determined by weighted sum function by considering the priority of each landscape function, and accordingly, a five-stage landscape restoration model was developed including soil protection, areas to be protected, erosion control, vegetation screening, and creek reclamation. This study presents a framework for sustainable landscape restoration solutions in the town by combining landscape sensitivity analysis via MCDA.

DOI : 10.26650/forestist.2019.362135 Calismanin amaci, Ankara kenti yakin cevresinde bulunan Eymir Golu’nun dogal cevre degerlerinin paydaslarin katilimi ve ortopedik engelli cocuklarin kullanici kesimler olarak gozlemlenmesi dogrultusunda yeniden planlanmasini saglamaktir. Arastirmada kullanim Surecinde Degerlendirme Metodu (POE) uygulanmistir. Bu kapsamda anket olusturma, gozlem yapma ve ilgili uzmanlarla gorusme teknikleri kullanilmistir. Gozlem sonucunda cografi bilgi sistemi kullanilarak deneklerin yapmis olduklari etkinliklerin gosterildigi davranis haritalari olusturulmustur. Basta cevredeki insanlarin rahatsiz edici tavirlari, ulasim olanagi kisitliligi ve mevcut ekonomik sorunlar, bu engelli cocuklarin acik yesil alanlara gitmesini engellemektedir. Eymir golu ve cevresinin, ortopedik engelli cocuklara yonelik gelistirilen etkinliklere uygun olmasi ve bu kapsamda erisilebilirligin saglandigi uygun gecis yollarinin yeniden duzenlenmesi onerilmektedir.

Daglik alanlar kuresel olcekte Dunya yuzeyinin %24’unu kaplamakta olup ulkemizin toplam alan icindeki daglik alanlarin payi ise hemen hemen %75’i bulmaktadir. Yeryuzu temiz su kaynaklarinin %80’ini karsilayan daglik alanlar “Su Kuleleri” olarak adlandirilmakta olup ayni zamanda zengin bitki ortusu ve yaban hayatina, hassas ekosistemlere, yasama ortamlarina, kritik habitatlara sahip olup nesli tehlike altinda olan turler acisindan barinak niteligindedir. Dogal urun akisini destekleyen ve dogal kaynak sistemlerini besleyen, tarimsal faaliyetler icin topragi koruma gorevini ustlenen, su kaynaklari ve nehirler acisindan hayati oneme sahip olan, enerji kaynagi olarak sayisiz hizmet sunan, alternatif turizm etkinlikleri yaninda zengin rekreasyonel potansiyele sahip olan, ozel iklim adalari ve kur merkezi ozelligi tasiyan ve ayni zamanda daglarda yasayan dag topluluklarinin geleneksel ve kendilerine ozgu kulturel zenginliklere sahip olmalari nedeniyle yerel kultur acisindan farkli sosyal ozellikler sunan bu ayricalikli bolgeler, son yillarda hizla cogalan Dunya nufusuna paralel olarak artan kuresel ekonomik hareketliligin tehdidi ile karsi karsiya bulunmaktadir. Yukarida ifade edilen tum bu ozellikler nedeniyle bu alanlarda butuncul, etkin ve surdurulebilir bir yonetim yaklasimina ihtiyac duyulmaktadir. Bu makalede, Daglik alanlarla ilgili olarak verilen temel bilgiler isiginda Dunya’da daglik alanlara yonelik olusturulan orgutler, uluslararasi sozlesmeler ile ulke planlama politikasi ve mekânsal planlama pratigi yaninda ulke koruma politikalari kapsaminda ele alinarak daglarin surdurulebilir, etkin ve butuncul yonetimi icin yapilmasi gerekenler anlatilmaktadir.

Avrupa Peyzaj sozlesmesi geregi peyzajlar tum bu kaynak degerleri dikkate alinarak planlanmali, tasarlanmali, korunmali onarilmali, izlenmeli ve yonetilmelidir. Fakat peyzajlarin dogal ve kulturel ozellikleri degerlendirilirken sahip olduklari arkeolojik kalintilari ve bunlarin tarihsel derinligi dikkate alinmamaktadir. Bu baglamda insanoglunun peyzaj uzerinde biraktigi izleri analiz eden tarihi peyzaj karakter siniflandirmasi metodu gelistirilmistir. Bu calisma peyzaj mimarligi disiplini kapsaminda peyzajlarin sahip olduklari tarihsel derinligi irdelemeyi ve arkeolojik gecmisin peyzaj mimarligi disiplini icerisindeki onemini vurgulamayi amaclamaktadir. Avrupa Peyzaj Sozlesmesi kapsaminda Turkiye’ de ilk defa ele alinan ve peyzaj mimarligina yeni bir yaklasim sunan bu calisma ile tarihi peyzaj karakteri tanimlanmis, veri kaynaklari belirlenmis ve tarihi peyzaj karakter siniflandirma surecleri arastirilmis, tarihi peyzaj duzeyleri ve bunlarin tarihsel derinligi irdelenmis ve son olarak peyzaj mimarligindaki kullanim alanlari arastirilmistir. Anit, sit alanlari ve diger tarihi kalintilari cevreleri ile degerlendiren ve arkeolojik gecmis icerisinde tanimlayabilen bu calismanin ciktilari tarihsel butunluk icerisinde saglikli alan kullanim karalarinin alinmasina olanak sunabilir.

Calismanin amaci: Oyunlarin ve oyun alanlarinin engelli cocuklara yonelik tasarlanmasi ve bunun uygulanabilmesi bu makalenin temel konusudur. Calisma alani: Calisma alani olarak Ankara’daki Eymir Golu secilmistir. Materyal ve Yontem: Bu arastirmada, ozellikle farkli yeteneklere sahip engelli cocuklara yonelik ortak bir oyun alani tasarlanarak yapilabilincek olan oryantiring calismalari arastirilmis ve gozlem calismasi uygulanmistir. Bu kapsamda, calisma alani olarak Ankarada'ki Eymir Golu secilmistir. Dogan Caglar Engelliler Ortaokulu’ndan 4. fiziksel engelli cocuk katilimci olarak belirlenmis ve cocuklar icin duzenlenen oyun alaninda hazirlanan oryantiring oyunlarina katilimi saglanmistir. Oyun asamasinda yaptiklari eylemler ile tavir ve davranislar gozlemlenmis ve bunlar duzenlenen gozlem formu, gozlemciler tarafindan kaydedilmistir . Sonuclar: Gozlem formu kayitlarina gore oryantiring oyunlarinin fiziksel engelli cocuklarinda uygulanabilirligi belirlenmistir. Arastirma vurgulari : oryantiring oyunlarinin tum kamu ve ozel oyun alanlarinda yer alabilecegi ve spor yapma olanagi sunarak saglik acisindan da faydali olabilecegi onerilmistir.

Avrupa Peyzaj Sozlesmesi geregi her ulke kendi sinirlari icerisine giren peyzajlari tanimlamasi, planlamasi, korumasi ve onarmasi gerekmektedir. Bu kapsamda pek cok Avrupa ulkesi sahip olduklari dogal ve kulturel peyzajlarinin karakterlerini analiz ederek ve degerlendirerek peyzajlarini siniflandirmaktadir. Yapilan bu analiz ve degerlendirme calismalari peyzajlarin sahip olduklari tarihi derinligini ve degerini kapsamamaktadir. Dolayisi ile bu calisma ile peyzajin tarihi derinligini vurgulamak ve peyzaj planlama surecindeki tarihi peyzaj karakterlerin siniflandirmasi ile degerlendirmesinin onemini ortaya koymayi amaclamaktadir. Bu calismanin Turkiye’deki peyzaj planlama surecindeki peyzajlarin tarihi derinlikle ile ilgili eksikligi kapatarak planlama calismalarina yeni bir bakis acisi getirecegi dusunulmektedir

This paper suggests an approach for calculating the visitor carrying capacity in protected sites with the example of Uludağ National Park (UNP) which is one of the major touristic and recreation destination in Turkey. First phase of the approach includes landscape character analysis and assessment work. Secondly, visitor carrying capacity calculation was carried on an ecological basis. Bursa city was founded on the mountainside of Uludağ, with a height of 2543 m., which was declared as a national park in 1961. There are numerous projects with the aim developing touristic activities in Uludağ implemented by local and central administration in recent years. These projects have been initiated with the idea of opening UNP to use not only in winter, but throughout the year. Also there is a long term protection plan of the UNP with three different protection categories such as absolute protection zone, limiteddevelopment zone and controlled development zone; and trekking routes are within the limited development zone area. The present study examines the use of one of the eight different trekking routes (TG-2.Sarıçayır Peak - German Meadow Location- Çobankaya - Softaboğan Location) defined in long term development plan. The result shows that real visitor carrying capacity of the studied trekking route is 38% less than actual physical carrying capacity due to the limitations indicated by the landscapes characteristics. It can be assumed that the studied 4.5 km trekking route is faced with landscape deterioration problems due to trekking activities in future, and requires landscape management and monitoring resolutions. This paper contributes that, the estimations for visitor carrying capacity should be based on landscape character analysis and assessment with the purpose of preventing ecological deteriorations in trekking routes used for recreation.

High plateau areas come forth with their important tourism potential with the natural and culturallandscape values they possess in Eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey. Eastern Black Sea Region ofTurkey have become more popularized in the recent years as areas of ecology-based tourism. Goingup to high plateau areas is a traditional habit of rural population as well as it includes an aspect ofrecreation and relaxation. With this aspect high plateau areas offer a tourism and recreation activityfor urban people. The main approach on this subject is the question that “how can it be possible forthe region or high plateau areas to develop through tourism without destroying the natural, culturaland social structure of the region?” In this direction, the first tourism potential of the areas of theareas have been determined by taking into consideration the areas declared as tourism center in theregion. The tourism potential of the high plateau areas in the region was presented by SWOT analysis.Then, tourism problems in the high plateau areas and the legal dimensions of these areas weredetermined., Yaylalar sahip oldukları doğal ve kültürel peyzaj değerleri ile önemli turizm potansiyelleri olarakTürkiye’nin Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde öne çıkmaktadır. Son yıllarda Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi ekolojiktemelli turizm alanları ile daha popüler hale gelmiştir. Yaylalara çıkmak kırsal nüfusun geleneksel birdavranışı iken bunun yanısıra rekreasyon ve rahatlama yönü de bulunmaktadır. Bu yönü ile yaylalarkentliler için turizm ve rekreasyon etkinliği sunmaktadır. Bu konudaki temel yaklaşım, “Bölgenindoğal, kültürel ve sosyal yapısını tahrip etmeden, bölge veya yayla alanlarının turizm yoluyla gelişmesinasıl mümkün olabilir?” sorusu olacaktır. Bu doğrultuda, bölgedeki turizm merkezi ilan edilen bölgelerdikkate alınarak bölgelerin turizm potansiyeli belirlenmiştir. Bu alanların turizm potansiyeli SWOTanalizi ile değerledirilmiştir. Daha sonra, yayla alanlarında turizm sorunları ve bu alanların yasalboyutları belirlenmiştir.

Calisma alani olarak secilen Amasya kenti, dogal ve kulturel degerlere sahip onemli bir ilimizdir. Yesilirmak Nehri, Yesilirmak Vadisi, Geleneksel Osmanli Evi ornekleri, Helenistik doneme ait Kaya Mezarliklari kent peyzajinin onemli unsurlari durumundadir. Kent formu uzerinde etkili olan Yesilirmak Nehri ve Vadisi, kentin ulasim sistemi uzerinde onemli rol oynamaktadir. Calisma kapsaminda; “Amasya Kenti Icin Yesilirmak Koridorunu Icine Alan Bir Kentsel Yesilyol Onerisi” isimli yuksek lisans tezinde olusturulan yesilyol guzergâhlarinin Analitik Hiyerarsi Sureci (AHS) yontemi kullanilarak oncelikli islevleri belirlenmistir. Her bir guzergâhin baskin fonksiyonunun belirlenmesi icin 10 kisiden olusan uzman gruba anket calismasi yapilmistir. ‘Alternatif ulasim’, ‘Sureklilik’ ve ‘Diger Islevsel Katkilar’ yesilyol guzergâhlari icin belirlenen ana fonksiyonlardir. Ana fonksiyonlar acisindan degerlendirildiginde; Amasya-Erzincan Karayolu Koridoru’nda ‘Sureklilik’, Yesilirmak Nehri Koridoru’nda ‘Alternatif Ulasim’, Amasya Kalesi Koridoru’nda ise ‘Diger Islevsel Katkilar (turizm ve ekonomik katki, rekreasyon, goruntu kontrolu vb.)’ fonksiyonu en yuksek degeri almistir. Ayrica belirlenen 3 guzergâha ek olarak, farkli islevlere ve alternatif ulasima sahip 2 tane yeni guzergâh onerilmistir. ______________________________________________________________________________ A Study on the Determination of Priority Functions of Greenway Routes Using AHP in Amasya City Example Abstract Amasya city, which has been chosen as the study site is an important city with its natural and cultural values. The important elements of the urban landscape are Yesilirmak River, Yesilirmak Valley, Traditional Ottoman Houses and Rock Tombs (Sepulchres) belonging to the Hellenistic Era. Yesilirmak River which is influential on the form of the city also acts as an important determiner of the transportation system. The scope of work “An Urban Greenway Proposal For Amasya City Including Yesilirmak Corridor” is created greenway routes of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) the primary functions were determined using the method. To determine each route’s dominant function is carried out survey work group of experts consisting of 10 people. ‘Alternative transportation’, ‘Continuity’ and ‘Other Functional Contribution’ main functions are set for the greenway routes. In terms of the main functions Amasya-Erzincan Highway Corridor ‘Continuity’, Yesilirmak River Corridor ‘Alternative Transportation’, while in Amasya Castle Corridor ‘Other Functional Contribution (tourism and economic contribution, recreation, view control etc.)’ function has the highest value. In addition to these three designated routes, new routes have been proposed 2 units with different functions and alternative transportation.

Yoğunkentleşme ile birlikte çocukların oyun alanları kentler arasındasıkıştırılmıştır. Çocuklar için tasarlanmış çocuk oyun alanları engelliçocukların ihtiyaç ve gereksinimlerine yönelik tasarlanmalıdır. Çünkü engelliçocukların sosyal hayata katılımları ve diğer çocuklarla sosyalleşme imkânlarıancak oyun alanlarında gerçekleşir. Bu sebeple çocuk oyun alanları tümçocuklara hizmet verecek biçimde doğa ile uyumlu tasarlanmalıdır. Bu çalışmanınamacı; açık yeşil alan tasarımlarından çocuk oyun alanları ve uygulamalarındafiziksel engelli çocuklara yönelik tasarım ilkelerini tespit etmektir. Çalışma“bedensel engelli bireyler için ulaşılabilir ve kullanılabilir olmak” düşüncesiile öncelikle çocuklara yönelik olarak hazırlanmıştır. Çocuk oyun olanaklarınınengelli çocuklar açısından tasarım ilkeleri belirlenerek araştırma sonuçlarıortaya konulmuştur. Children’s playground which design for children should be designedaccording to disabled children's needs and requirements. Because it just takesplace in the playgrounds, disabled children's participation in social life andit is opportunity to socialize with other children too. For this reason,children's playgrounds should be designed in harmony with nature and they willserve all children. The purpose of this study, to identify design principles ofchildren's play areas and open green space under consideration orthopedicdisabled children. This study also considers that "be available andaccessible for the physically disabled individual" with the thought thatis intended primarily for children. . With determining the design principles ofchildren's playground for disabled children has revealed in the results of thisresearch. Playing activities that regulated with natural elements (topography,animals, plants, water, soil and sand) in the children’s playground havepositive psychological effects on disabled children.

The design and construction of gardens have long been considered an art in various parts of the world. In Iran, the art of gardening has a long past and has been regarded as an important art throughout its history, especially the Islamic period. Although there are many resources in different languages about Iranian Gardens, unfortunately, there are the lack of resources that explains the historical development of Iranian gardens and design rules in Turkey. In this study the history of Iranian Garden from the viewpoint of design changes has review and aimed to reveal the original elements that have shaped the Iranian garden.

The study was carried out in the Altindere Valley, which is an area appropriate for tourism activities with natural, historical and cultural values through all four seasons, with Yazlik Village in the centre and including the surrounding sites Cosandere village, Altindere village, hamlets (The Hamlets) and plateau areas. In this study, the goal is to set forth the ecological-based tourism potential in line with the concepts of intactness; conservation-use balance; and sustainability at natural, historical and cultural sites through a determined planning approach. In this respect, assessments have been made on the study area on the basis of the Ecological Evaluation Method', which has been developed for urban areas. Through the determination of quotients, classification and quantitative assessment of unweighted values were found for natural and cultural elements that show percentage (%) dispersion at the area (slope, exposition, soil, forest, vegetation, existing areas use, historical and cultural structure). Weighted values' were calculated by multiplying the determined factor weights and the unweighted inside grid values of the factors. With the results of grid values obtained, 10.58% Very Good, 48.82% Good, 19.7% Average, 8.82% Weak, and 12.05% Very Weak, Ecological Based Tourism Potential Areas According to Natural, Historical and Cultural Factors' have been identified.

This study, which was conducted on the only surviving garden of the historic gardens in the city of Tabriz in Iran (i.e. the garden of El-Goli), closely examines its importance and place in the Iranian art of gardening. El-Goli garden is considered as an important place in the city by foreign and local tourists. However, in recent years, with the development of Tabriz and consequently the increased need for green space and recreational areas for citizens, this historic garden has become a public promenade and park. This paper examines the risks and threats posed by the change in land use. Since visitors are the main threats, a questionnaire was developed to identify their reasons for visiting the garden, their behaviour in the garden and how they use this historic garden. It is seen that nature have healing and treating features for the disabled children with natural environment values (vegetation, water resources, birds, and other living creatures) that they possess. Getting information about what these features are and what kind of improvement does the presence of the disabled children in these natural areas provide is the starting point of this study. The goal of the study is to determine the effect of the natural environment values of the Lake Eymir located in the immediate environment of Ankara city on the children with Cerebral Palsy. In order to define the healing and treating effects of the natural environment values of Lake Eymir-Mogan on the children with Cerebral Palsy, natural factors of the area of Lake Eymir the study was conducted step-by-step: 1. Systematically Observation 2. Development Observation Forms 3. Survey and interview. In the study, observation method was implemented on children with Cerebral Palsy chosen from Dogan Caglar Special Education Primary School (DCSEPS) in the Lake Eymir and its surroundings. After providing disabled children to join the trip and conduct different activities in the area of Lake Eymir and its surroundings for 6 days, development form was prepared in order to evaluate the effects of this kind of natural areas on the children subjected the study. This form was given to teachers working in DCSEPS and they were asked to observe the four students taking part in the study during lessons and in the classrooms. To obtain information about the level of performance of the natural areas in Ankara and their adequacy and compliance level, and also to better understand the problems of these children, survey studies were conducted on parents with disabeled childeren. In addition, the interview was conducted face to face with the psychologist working in the Center of Education and Rehabilitation of the Cerebral Palsy and also in DCSEPS. In this study, it was seen that spending time in natural areas created a positive effect on the children with Cerebral Palsy and the activities conducted in this area improved motor, language, social and sentimental development as well as their self-maintenance skills., Doğanın sahip olduğu doğal çevre değerleri (bitki örtüsü, su kaynakları,kuşlar ve diğer canlılar) ile engelli çocuklarda iyileştirici ve tedavi ediciözelliği görülmektedir. Ayrıca, Serebral PalsiEğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi'nde ve DÇOEO'de çalışan psikolog ile yüz yüzegörüşme çalışması gerçekleşmiştir. As hospitals around the world are increasingly adopting a patient-centred care model, they are also finding new ways to incorporate care into the built environment. One of the fastest growing trends is the installation of green roofs, or roof gardens, to create tranquil oases on otherwise barren roofop spaces. In this research, with regard to benefits and advantages of roof gardens and healing gardens, the integration of these two gardens in the roofop of the hospitals can contribute to the health problems of the patients as well as providing ecological profits and ecosistem services. This study was conducted to determine the place of historic gardens in the city of Tabriz vis-a-vis Iranian garden arts. It provides information on the historic gardens of Tabriz, which are no longer in existence, for example, ‘Saheb Abad’ Garden, ‘North’ Garden, ‘Sefa’ Garden, ‘Amir Kabir’ Garden, ‘Saheb Divan’Garden and ‘Fath Abad’ Garden, as well as four historical maps belonging to the Qajar era in the city of Tabriz. In this research, the factors influencing the design of El-Goli Garden were studied, which can be grouped into three major categories: physical, biological and cultural. After a brief study of the above factors in the city of Tabriz and its different microclimates, the types of similarities that exist relating to Iranian garden art were determined.

This study was conducted to determine the tourism potential of Altindere Valley National Park with respect to its conservation and utilization. The Calkoy high plateau settlement, located in a pristine landscape, is thought to have considerable potential for recreation and nature tourism. This study focused primarily on the natural and cultural values of the area and their prospective utility for recreation and tourism. Additionally, the behaviours and activities of local people in terms of recreation and those of visitors in terms of tourism were examined and their environmental impacts were assessed. Interviews were conducted with four different groups comprising visitors, local people, local administrators and public authorities. Mountainous areas, which form the largest geography of our country and are called reserves of resources owing to their difficulty of accessibility, have been increasingly under threat of exploitation and overuse in recent years. The area in question from among the mountainous areas, which are sensitive ecosystems with their environmental components, is the Bozdağ mass located in Gölcük Plateau Settlement, which has been subject to intensive construction and use. This study is intended to reveal the current uses of Gölcük Plateau (agricultural, recreation, and tourism) and determine the sources and effects of pollution as a result of these uses and aims at revealing how the permanent residents of Gölcük Plateau Settlement on Bozdağ Plateau, which is a center of attraction with respect of recreation and tourism activities, and those who go there only in certain periods, use the environment for tourism and recreational purposes, and determine their positive and negative impacts on environment through SWOT analysis.

Milli parklar butun dunyada hassas ekosistemlerin ve nadir turlerin korundugu cok zengin biyolojik kaynak degerlerine sahip ayricalikli alanlar olup ziyaretciler tarafindan yogun olarak kullanilmaktadir. Ekolojik oneme sahip bu ozelliklerin tanimlanmasi planlama calismalari icin on kosuldur. Bu anlamda bir korunan alanda disardan gelen baski ve tehditlerin kapsamli degerlendirilebilmesi ve buna yonelik onlemler alinabilmesi amaciyla ekolojik duyarlilik analizi yapilmaktadir. Altindere Vadisi Milli Parki (Trabzon/Turkiye) ozelinde gerceklestirilen bu calismada milli parkin ekolojik acidan hassas bolgelerinin belirlenebilmesi icin ekolojik duyarlilik analizi yapilmistir. Bu kapsamda belirlenen kriterlerin degerlendirilmesi ve her bir kriterin agirliklandirilmasi icin Analitik Hiyerarsi Sureci (AHS) teknigi kullanilmistir. Elde edilen veriler CBS ortaminda ArcGIS 10.0 programi kullanilarak her bir kriter icin sayisal haritalar olusturulmustur. Tum kriterlerin ArcGIS “Konumsal Analiz” teknigi ile toplanmasi sonucunda alanin ekolojik duyarlilik haritasi elde edilmis ve ekolojik duyarliligi dusukten cok yuksege dogru olmak uzere siniflandirilmistir. Buna gore milli park alani, %53.78’i ekolojik duyarlilik acisindan yuksek alanlara sahiptir.

As a result of the increasing urbanization and fast pace of work life, people started to turn to rural areas so as to regenerate both socially and psychologically. Increasing interest in the rural areas made the importance of landscape quality of these areas more significant. This improvement gave way to the idea of the necessity of preserving the resourceful landscape areas in terms of visual characteristics and bringing them under the spotlight, and it became the driving power in reconciling the planners and administrators. From this point of view, a study was conducted in Salacik Village of Akcaabat district of Trabzon (Turkey) in order to identify the visually resourceful landscape areas and maintain the sustainability of the resource values by preserving them. In this respect, the area was divided into seven individual landscape types, visual landscape evaluation including the opinions of the experts, and a survey that is used in planning of the rural areas was implemented. It is thought that the results attained with the evaluations made taking the principles of Gestalt theory into consideration will constitute an essential fundamental for urban and regional planners, natural resource administrators, and other planning parties in their planning decisions relating the specific area. Apart from that, among the goals of this study are contributing in the preservation of visually resourceful landscapes, maintaining their sustainability, and integration of these areas into the development strategies.

These issues cause unforeseen consumption impacts on natural and cultural landscape values. Open green spaces or ecologically valuable areas are under threat of urbanization. In this context "National Park Systems" are well known for preserving ecologically and culturally valuable environmental resources. Altindere Valley National Park, located in the city of Trabzon, Turkey, is selected as a study area. It contains sensitive green and blue infrastructures, natural beauty and rich wildlife habitats with unique flora and fauna. The park also includes Sumela (Mary) Monastery, a unique cultural heritage. The park attracts tourists and these visitors cause negative effects on the natural and cultural environment. It is under threat because of the lack of a management structure. This study aims to explore the natural and cultural values of the national park and highlight the importance of cultural monuments in the landscape by observing Mary Monastery. To achieve this goal, a well-known multi-criteria decision making method called Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), is employed using the data derived from surveys and interviews with local people and experts. Then all data (natural-cultural values and result of interviews) were overlaid through a GIS visibility analysis process. The "very high-high and medium visibility areas" which have no negative effects on natural and cultural landscape values are offered as suitable areas for ecotourism activities. The methods and findings can provide guidance for sustainable development to preserve natural and cultural values by improving their management, financial aspects and tourist affairs for National Parks in Turkey.

In the field of tourism, where environmental resources are the primary attraction, ecotourism is one of the sustainable approaches now considered as an alternative when considering today's increasing environmental problems. Indeed, according to the World Tourism Organisation, ecotourism is the fastest growing market within the tourist industry. The purpose of this study is to determine tourism activities sensitive to the environment, to help tourism in Turkey and neighbouring countries, and to help spread ecotourism by protecting biological species. The Kazdagi (Mt. Ida) area in Turkey is used as an example and case study.

The most important issue is the to use of urban space to increase the number and size of green areas. As well as another important issue is to work towards maintaining these spaces. One such important effort is to meet the water needs of plants. Naturally, the amount of water needed by plants depends on the species. In order to successfully implement modern irrigation techniques in parks, gardens, rest and recreation areas, both direct calculation methods and estimation methods from climate data are used in determining evapotranspiration. In this study, climate elements based Penman-Monteith equation is used to investigate the water consumption, irrigation water need, irrigation interval and irrigation for the grass plant in park areas located in three different climate zones (Antalya, Ankara and Trabzon) in Turkey. The result of calculations, using the climate data of July, value of the province of Antalya were ET o =7,10464 mm/day, for Ankara ET o =6,77215 mm/day, for Trabzon ET o =4,03544 mm/day. The study also reveals the importance of identifying the water consumption needs of plants while preparing irrigation projects. Key words : Irrigation, Penmann-Monteith method, grass plants.

Bilgisayarlar son yıllarda insan hayatının vazgeçilmez bir parçası olmuştur. Tüm alanlarda olduğu gibi peyzaj mimarlığı alanında da bilgisayarın sağladığı faydalar göz ardı edilmemelidir. Bilgisayarın sağladığı kolaylık yapılan ürünlerin daha gerçekçi ve istenilene uygun tasarımların elde edilmesini sağlamaktadır. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında, bilgisayar destekli tasarımın peyzaj mimarlığı alanında kullanımı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Uygulama bölümünde, insanların beğeni tercihlerine göre istenilen tasarımların yapımını gerçekleştirmek amacı ile bilgisayar ortamında modellenip hazırlanan kaplama malzemeleri, oturma donatı elemanları ve bitki grupları üç farklı alanda önerilmiştir. Daha sonra anket çalışması yapılmış ve ankete katılanlardan bu alanlar ve öneriler için seçilen sekiz farklı sıfat çiftini değerlendirmeleri istenmiştir. Bulgular ve irdelemelerden oluşan üçüncü bölümde ise anketlere bağlı verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucu canlı ve cansız peyzaj elemanlarının farklılıklarının insanlar üzerinde oluşturduğu etkiler ortaya konmuştur.

Water is one of the most important natural resources to sustain the continuity of life. Together with the rapidly growing population has been consumed natural resources in the world and nonrenewable resources began to decline. The most important role in the maintenance is recognized of the irrigation especially open green areas remain evergreen. However, in the areas of landscape design practices of crop water consumption can be achieved by taking into consideration terms. Considering the use of this type of needs of different plant species identified and should be selected compatible with each other species. In this study, particularly in the fields of landscape architecture, aesthetic and functional aspects of the application frequently used Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea Nana' and Ilex aquifolium plant species will be compared in terms of the amount of water they consume. As a result due to different physiological and morphological characteristics of the chosen plant species also differ in the amount of water has been consumed. It has been concluded that Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea Nana', plants group consumed more water than Ilex aquifolium plants, Su hayatın devamlılığını sürdürebilmek en önemli doğal kaynaklardan birisidir. Dünya’daki artan nüfus ile birlikte doğal kaynaklar hızla tüketilmeye başlanmış ve yenilenemeyen kaynakların azalması gündeme gelmiştir. Özellikle de kentsel açık yeşil alanlarda sulamanın rolü oldukça fazladır. Ancak peyzaj alanlarında bitkisel tasarım uygulamalarındaki başarı kullanılan bitki türlerinin su tüketim açısından değerlendirmeye alınması sağlanabilir. Bu türlerin kullanım önceliği göz önünde tutularak farklı bitki türlerinin su ihtiyaçları tespit edilerek birbiri ile uyumlu türler seçilmelidir. Bu çalışmada peyzaj mimarlığı uygulama alanlarında özellikle estetik ve fonksiyonel açıdan sıklıkla kullanılan Berberis thunbergii ‘Atropurpurea Nana’ ve Ilex aquifolium bitki türleri tükettikleri su miktarları açısından karşılaştırılacaktır. Sonuç olarak farklı fizyolojik ve morfolojik özellikleri olması sebebiyle seçilen bitki türlerinin tükettikleri su miktarları da farklı olmuştur. Berberis thunbergii ‘Atropurpurea Nana’ bitki gruplarının Ilex aquifolium bitkilerine oranla daha fazla su tükettikleri sonucuna varılmıştır
