Synthesis of three Schiff bases of 5-bromo-3-nitro salicylaldehyde containing different sulfonamide group antibiotic compounds and their Cu(II) complexes was carried out. Structures of all compounds were characterized with spectroscopic methods, including Fourier transform infrared, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, and elemental analysis. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of ligands and complexes against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and the yeast Candida albicans was evaluated. It was determined that the ligand and complexes showed outstanding antimicrobial activity against almost all of the microorganisms tested. It has been observed that the newly synthesized complexes have more antimicrobial effects than the corresponding ligands. It has been determined that the newly synthesized complexes have more antimicrobial effects than the others (E. coli, L. monocytogenes, and C. albicans), especially on Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Metamorphites of Niğde Massif, which form the basis of study area covering the Niğde vicinityin Central Anatolia, are composed of Late Devonian Gümüşler, Carboniferous-early PermianKaleboynu late Permian Kızıldağ formation and unconformable Triassic-Late Cretaceous coverunits from bottom to the top, which are separated from each other with unconformities. The Triassicsuccession (Söğütlüdere formation) of phyllite-marble-schist alternations with common amphibolitelevels is first distinguished in this study, unconformably overlies the Paleozoic succession.Thick homogeneous marbles of Jurassic-Cretaceous period, is defined by quartzite at the bottomrepresenting the unconformity at the base, is defined as the Kırtepe formation. The successionprobably ends with the Late Cretaceous metaflysch (Kırkpınar formation) constituting metaophioliteblocks with unconformable contact relationships. Amphibolite sample of the Söğütlüdere formationgives 239 Ma (Middle Triassic) age, which is interpreted as the crystallization age of the primarybasic magmatism. The youngest detrital zircon ages (223-224 Ma) obtained from the metaclastics ofthe same formation shows that the primary deposition age of the formation is probably Late Triassic,which is consistent with this data. Geochemical data indicate an extensional environment of thealkaline composition and anorogenic originated basic volcanism developed on the continental crust.When these results evaluated together with the regional data, the metabasites of the Söğütlüdereformation can be interpreted as the first phase products of rifting, which commenced with the riftingprocess of the Tauride-Anatolide Platform in the Triassic period and resulted in the opening of theInner Tauride Ocean and the break off the Kırşehir Block.

Upper Mesopotamia played a key role in the Neolithic Transition in Southwest Asia through marked innovations in symbolism, technology, and diet. We present 13 ancient genomes (c. 8500 to 7500 cal BCE) from Pre-Pottery Neolithic Çayönü in the Tigris basin together with bioarchaeological and material culture data. Our findings reveal that Çayönü was a genetically diverse population, carrying mixed ancestry from western and eastern Fertile Crescent, and that the community received immigrants. Our results further suggest that the community was organized along biological family lines. We document bodily interventions such as head shaping and cauterization among the individuals examined, reflecting Çayönü’s cultural ingenuity. Last, we identify Upper Mesopotamia as the likely source of eastern gene flow into Neolithic Anatolia, in line with material culture evidence. We hypothesize that Upper Mesopotamia’s cultural dynamism during the Neolithic Transition was the product not only of its fertile lands but also of its interregional demographic connections.

A minor part of the pain and instability around shoulder region is caused by entrapment neuropathies. When dealing with pain and muscle weakness around shoulder region, entrapment neuropathies should be kept in mind. Most common nerves that are prone to entrapment neuropathies around shoulder are suprascapular, axillary, long thoracic, and accessory nerves. Entrapment neuropathies are often caused by mechanical and dynamical compression of a nerve while passing through anatomically narrow fibro-osseous tunnels. Other causes of entrapment neuropathies might be space occupying lesions such as inflammatory edema, cysts, and tumors or post-traumatic conditions such as hematoma, fibrosis, and myositis ossificans. The common clinical alterations due to a nerve entrapment are pain, muscle weakness, paresthesia around certain localizations and muscle atrophies.

In this work, we consider the finite ring $\mathbb{F}_{2}+u\mathbb{F}_{2}+v\mathbb{F}_{2}$, $u^{2}=1, v^{2}=0$, $u\cdot v=v\cdot u=0$ which is not Frobenius and chain ring. We studied constacyclic and negacyclic codes in $\mathbb{F}_{2}+u\mathbb{F}_{2}+v\mathbb{F}_{2}$ with odd length. These codes are compared with codes that had priorly been obtained on the finite field $\mathbb{F}_{2}$. Moreover, we indicate that the Gray image of a constacyclic and negacyclic code over $\mathbb{F}_{2}+u\mathbb{F}_{2}+v\mathbb{F}_{2}$ with odd length $n$ is a quasicyclic code of index $4$ with length $4n$ in $\mathbb{F}_{2}$. In particular, the Gray images are applied to two different rings $S_{1}=\mathbb{F}_{2}+v\mathbb{F}_{2}$, $v^{2}=0$ and $S_{2}=\mathbb{F}_{2}+u\mathbb{F}_{2}$, $u^{2}=1$ and negacyclic and constacyclic images of these rings are also discussed.

Bu çalışmada uzaktan eğitim sürecinde 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin TGA (Tahmin Et-Gözle-Açıkla) stratejisine dayalı fen bilimleri öğretiminin akademik başarılarına ve derse yönelik tutumlarına etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada deneysel desen kullanılmış olup, deney ve kontrol gruplarının yer aldığı ve gruplara ön test ve son test uygulamalarının yapıldığı bir yaklaşım sergilenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılı, Bursa ili, Nilüfer ilçesinde bulunan bir devlet ortaokulunda 5. sınıfa devam eden deney grubu olarak 36 öğrencinin bulunduğu bir sınıf ve kontrol grubu olarak 36 öğrencinin bulunduğu başka bir sınıf olmak üzere toplamda iki şubede bulunan 72 beşinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verilerinin vii analiz edilmesinde SPSS 20 istatistik programından yararlanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarında yer alan öğrencilerin ön test puanlarının kendi içinde ve son test puanlarının kendi içinde karşılaştırılması Mann Whitney U Testi ile yapılmıştır. Deney ve Kontrol grupları ayrı ayrı olacak şekilde ön test ve son test puanlarının zamana göre değişimlerinin incelenmesinde Wilcoxon İşaret Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri %95 güven düzeyinde analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak TGA stratejine dayalı öğretimle müfredatın işlendiği gruptaki öğrencilerin ve normal yöntemlerle müfredatın işlendiği grupta yer alan öğrencilerin başarı puanlarının daha da iyileştiği belirtilebilir. Ayrıca TGA stratejine dayalı öğretimle müfredatın işlendiği gruptakilerin fen dersine yönelik başarılarının normal yöntemlerle müfredatın işlendiği grupta yer alan öğrencilerin başarı puanlarından daha fazla olarak iyileşme gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca genel olarak öğrencilerin fen dersine yönelik tutumlarının TGA stratejine dayalı öğretimle müfredatın işlenmesinden ve normal yöntemlerle MEB müfredatın işlenmesinden bağımsız olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of science teaching based on POE (Prediction-Observation-Explanation) strategy of 5th grade students on their academic achievements and attitudes towards the course in the distance education process. Experimental design was used in the research, and an approach in which the experimental and control groups took place and pre-test and post-test applications were applied to the groups was exhibited. The sample of the research is the 2020-2021 academic year, in a state secondary school in Bursa province, Nilüfer district, a class with 36 students as the experimental group and another class with 36 students as the control group, a total of 72 fifth grade students in two branches. class student. Questionnaire form was used as data collection tool in the research. SPSS 20 statistical ix program was used to analyze the data of the research. The comparison of the pre-test scores and post-test scores of the students in the experimental and control groups was made with the Mann Whitney U Test. The Wilcoxon Sign Test was used to examine the changes in the pre-test and post-test scores over time, separately for the Experimental and Control groups. The data of the research were analyzed at 95% confidence level. As a result, it can be stated that the achievement scores of the students in the group where the curriculum is taught with POE strategy-based teaching and the students in the group where the curriculum is taught with normal methods have improved. In addition, it was determined that the success of the students in the group in which the curriculum was taught with POE strategy-based teaching improved more than the success scores of the students in the group in which the curriculum was taught with normal methods. In addition, it was concluded that the attitudes of the students towards the science lesson in general were independent from the teaching of the curriculum with POE strategy-based teaching and the teaching of the MEB curriculum with normal methods
