Camelina ( Camelina sativa L. Crantz) is considered a relatively new oilseed Brassicacea in both Europe and North America, even though its history as a crop dates back to the Bronze Age. Camelina has recently received renewed interest from both the scientific community and bio-based industries around the world. The main attractive features of this species are: drought and frost tolerance, disease and pest resistance, a unique seed oil composition with high levels of n-3 fatty acids, a considerably high seed oil content, and satisfactory seed yields, in particular under low-input management and in limiting environments. Aiming at evaluating the feasible introduction of recently released camelina breeding lines under different environmental conditions and their productive potential a multi-location trial was set up. The agronomic performance of nine improved genotypes of camelina was evaluated in a wide range of environments in Europe (Greece, Italy, Poland) and in five locations across Canada, in two consecutive growing seasons (2015 and 2016). Sowing time was optimized for each location according to the different climatic conditions. Camelina proved to be a highly adaptable species, reaching seed yields of about 1 Mg DM ha −1 under the most limiting conditions (i.e., low precipitation, poor soil quality, extremely high temperature at flowering). Growing environments characterized by mild temperatures and adequate rainfall (>170 mm, during the growing season) resulted in higher average seed yields. The length of the growing cycle varied greatly between different locations (80–110 d), but the cumulative thermal time was quite stable (∼1200 GDD, growing degree days). The advanced breeding line 787–08, which possesses up to 30% larger seed compared to the mean seed size of all other test entries, proved to be the most promising genotype across all locations in Europe and Canada, combining high seed yields (1.1–2.7 Mg DM ha −1 ) with improved yield stability. To the best of our knowledge, for the first time, camelina lines with improved oil composition (i.e., increased oleic and α-linolenic and lower linoleic acid contents) for feed, food and industrial applications were identified (789–02 and 887).

В данной работе были проведены исследования по влиянию системы растворителей на Ð²Ñ‹Ñ Ð¾Ð´ липидного комплекса из биомассы микроводорослей С. sorokiniana при экстракции методом Сокслета; исследованы сорбционные свойства остаточной биомассы по отношению к ионам Ñ‚ÑÐ¶Ñ‘Ð»Ñ‹Ñ Ð¼ÐµÑ‚Ð°Ð»Ð»Ð¾Ð² (ИТМ) в Ð¼Ð¾Ð´ÐµÐ»ÑŒÐ½Ñ‹Ñ Ñ€Ð°ÑÑ‚Ð²Ð¾Ñ€Ð°Ñ . Задачи, которые решались в Ñ Ð¾Ð´Ðµ исследования: 1. Провести литературный обзор по проблеме исследования; 2. Подобрать систему растворителей для экстракции с максимальным Ð²Ñ‹Ñ Ð¾Ð´Ð¾Ð¼ липидов из биомассы микроводорослей C. sorokiniana и определить содержание α-линоленовой кислоты в экстракте; 3. Создать биосорбент из остаточной биомассы и определить его сорбционные Ñ Ð°Ñ€Ð°ÐºÑ‚ÐµÑ€Ð¸ÑÑ‚Ð¸ÐºÐ¸; 4. Проанализировать опасные факторы и описать мероприятия по обеспечению безопасности труда в НИЛ. Исследованы системы растворителей: гексан:этиловый спирт (9:1, 1:1) и каскадный метод для экстракции липидного комплекса, в котором затем определено содержание α-линоленовой кислоты. Сорбционные свойства остаточной биомассы определялись по отношению к ИТМ с помощью вольтамперометрического метода. Оптимальное соотношение растворителей: 9 частей гексана на 1 часть этанола, дающее наибольший Ð²Ñ‹Ñ Ð¾Ð´ липидов (22,67 %) и α-линоленовой (26,60 %) в экстракте. Сорбционная емкость полученного биосорбента составила 20,2 мг/г., In this work, studies were conducted on the influence of the solvent system on the output of the lipid complex from the biomass of C. sorokiniana microalgae during Soxhlet extraction; The sorption properties of the residual biomass of microalgae with respect to heavy metal ions (HMI) in model solutions are studied. Tasks that were solved during the study: 1. Conduct a literature review of the research problem; 2. Choose a solvent system for extraction with a maximum output of the lipid complex from the microalgae biomass C. sorokiniana and determine the content of α-linolenic acid in the obtained extract; 3. Create a biosorbent from the residual biomass and calculate its sorption characteristics; 4. To analyze the hazards and describe measures to ensure occupational safety in the research laboratory. The various composition of the solvent system was investigated: ethyl alco-hol:hexane (9:1, 1:1) and the cascade method for extraction of the lipid complex, in which the content of α-linolenic acid was then determined. The sorption properties of residual biomass were determined in relation to HMI using the voltammetric method. As studies have shown, the best solvent ratio is: 9 parts of hexane per 1 part of ethanol, as this results in the highest lipid yield (22,67 %) and α-linolenic ac-id (26,60 %) in the obtained extract. The sorption capacity of the obtained biosorbent was 20,2 mg/g.
