In light of the changes and developments that have gained momentum in the 21st century, it is emphasized that the development process should be made sustainable and functional in today's rapidly globalizing societies. As a part of social life, it is important for individuals to adapt to sustainability. Within the scope of sustainable development goals, the issue of a sustainable environment for sustainable societies also comes to the fore. In this context, qualified education is emphasized for individuals and societies with sustainable awareness and awareness of environmental sensitivity. As a matter of fact, it is noteworthy that it is necessary to determine the levels of sustainable awareness and environmental awareness for sustainable development of teacher candidates who will be the educational veterans of the future. This study aims to examine the relationship between teacher candidates' sustainable awareness and environmental awareness levels for sustainable development. The research process was carried out with the relational screening model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, in accordance with the purpose and content of the study. In this study, the ‘Sustainable Consciousness Scale' prepared by Michalos et al. (2012), adapted by Yüksel Yıldız (2019), and the ’Environmental Sensitivity Scale’ prepared by Yeşil Turan (2020) were used. The data obtained were analyzed with the statistical analysis program. According to the descriptive statistics, it was seen that none of the data showed normal distribution, and group comparisons were made with the Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis tests. As a result, it is understood that sustainable awareness and environmental awareness awareness levels for sustainable development are interrelated and reflected in the opinions of teacher candidates. It is thought that sustainable awareness and environmental awareness can be implemented by designing purposeful activities in schools to encourage the transformation of sustainable awareness and environmental awareness levels into behavior in individual and social life and that sustainable awareness and environmental awareness can be discussed in different education forums to support sustainable society.

Environmental issues pose significant challenges in contemporary society, and environmental education plays a crucial role in fostering a sustainable future. Within this context, this research aims to explore the pioneering role of the Foundation for Environmental Education in Turkey in promoting environmental consciousness and implementing education programs rooted in sustainability. The research adopts a qualitative research methodology, specifically documentary analysis. The study material encompasses up-to-date information obtained from the Foundation's official website, published reports, projects, and related documents. The collected data were thematically analyzed employing descriptive analysis techniques to address the research objectives comprehensively. The findings reveal that the Foundation has undertaken extensive endeavors in the field of environmental education. Notably, it organizes diverse educational programs, projects, and initiatives targeted at fostering environmental awareness, particularly among young individuals and children. The pedagogical approaches, learning methods, and interactive practices with nature employed by the Foundation have garnered considerable attention. Consequently, it can be inferred that the Foundation has effectively established significant networks in the domain of environmental education through both national and international collaborations. Based on the research outcomes, the Foundation assumes a pioneering role in environmental education, making notable contributions to augmenting environmental consciousness, advancing sustainability-oriented education, and cultivating societal sensitivity towards environmental challenges. Furthermore, the Foundation's proactive activities reflect a strategic approach aimed at instigating social change concerning environmental issues. This research aims to provide a robust foundation for comprehending the Foundation's initiatives in environmental education, pedagogical approaches, and subsequently, contribute to the development of effective strategies to enhance environmental awareness and promote a sustainable future. The Foundation's pioneering role in the field of environmental education is anticipated to hold significant importance in elevating societal awareness regarding environmental issues and fostering a solution-oriented mindset. In recent years, the rapidly increasing environmental, nature problems and individual behaviors have drawn the attention of researchers in this direction. Therefore, the aim of the research is to reveal the environmental awareness, environmental sensitivity and connectedness to nature behaviors of teachers, who are one of the most important parts of the education process. The population of the research consisted of teachers in Gaziantep, and the sample consisted of 634 teachers selected by random sampling. As data collection tools, "Environmental Awa reness and Sensitivity Scale" developed by Yeşilyurt, Gül and Demir (2013) and "Connectedness to the Nature Scale" developed by Mayer, F. S., and Frantz, C. M. (2004) and adapted into Turkish by Bektaş, F., Kural, B., & Orçan (2017) were used. In the analysis of the data, Independent Sample t test, Anova and Pearson Correlation analysis were used. According to the findings, significant differences were found in environmental sensitivity in the gender variable and in environmental awareness in the age variable. Significant differences were found in part of nature, environmental awareness and environmental sensitivity according to the branch variable; while significant differences were found in integration with nature and part of nature subdimensions according to sports experience variable (p<0.05). As a result, it can be said that teachers' connectedness to nature, environmental awareness and environmental sensitivity are generally at moderate levels. It is recommended to hold developer seminars for connectedness to nature and the solution of environmental problems. Bu çalışmanın amacı sürdürülebilir pazarlama faaliyetlerinin tüketicilerin çevre bilinçleri ve sürdürülebilir tüketim davranışları üzerindeki etkilerini ve bu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri bir model çerçevesinde ortaya koyabilmektir. Çalışmada kolayda örnekleme ve çevrimiçi anket yöntemleri kullanılmış ve 404 kişilik bir örneklem büyüklüğüne ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde keşfedici faktör analizi, güvenilirlik analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve yapısal eşitlik modellemesi analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sürdürülebilir pazarlama ve sürdürülebilir tüketim arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu; sürdürülebilir pazarlama ve çevre bilinci arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu; çevre bilinci ve sürdürülebilir tüketim arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The research aims to determine the relationship between the students’ perceptions of environmental consciousness and ecotourism knowledge in tourism-related departments. In this con)text, data were collected with a survey using a quantitative research method between April 10, 2021, and May 10, 2021, via Whatsapp and Facebook. The universe of the research is the students in two 2-year degrees, undergraduate, master, and doctorate programs studying in tourism)related departments in Turkey. The research sample is the students (400 participants) who have been selected to represent this program. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there were medium- and low-level positive relationships between factor dimensions. According to the cor)relation analysis performed for the sum of both scales, it was found that there is a medium-level positive relationship between environmental consciousness and ecotourism knowledge. Bu çalışmada, yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin ‘‘Evsel atıklar ve geri dönüşüm’’ konusunda, yaşam temelli öğrenme yaklaşımına dayalı olarak yapılan öğretimin, öğrencilerin çevre bilinci ve çevresel duyarlılık kazanımlarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Akdeniz Bölgesindeki bir ilimizde yedinci sınıfta öğrenim gören, 21 deney grubu, 21 kontrol grubu öğrencisi olmak üzere toplamda 42 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak çevre bilinci ve çevresel duyarlılık ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programında Eşleştirilmiş İki Grup Arasındaki Fark Testi (paired-samples t-test) ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; Yaşam Temelli Öğrenme Yaklaşımı uygulamalarının deney grubu öğrencilerinin kirlilik bilinci, tasarruf bilinci ve geri dönüşüm bilinci puan ortalamalarında olumlu yönde farklılık oluşturduğu, bilişsel tepkiler, duyuşsal tepkiler ve etkinlik ve faaliyetlere katılım puan ortalamalarında artış meydana getirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin çalışma öncesinde, orta düzeyde çevre bilinci ve çevresel duyarlılık kazanımına sahip oldukları ancak çalışma süreci sonunda, deney grubu öğrencilerinin çevre bilinci ve çevresel duyarlılık kazanımlarının çok iyi seviyeye yükseldiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışma, ortaokul yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin çevreye karşı tam bilinçli olmasını, çevre duyarlılığının oluşumunu ve bu bilinç ve duyarlılığın sürekli olmasını sağlamak için geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri yerine Yaşam Temelli Öğrenme Yaklaşımı kullanımının daha uygun olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

The resources that nature offers to human beings are of course not infinite, unless there is a conscious and careful use, an "end" is coming in terms of natural resources. Preventing waste of resources, protecting nature and gaining the habit of recycling are now inevitable in order for healthy generations to continue their lives and to increase their economic development levels. There are not enough studies in the literature on the subject. The current study aims to determine the levels of individuals' behaviors and attitudes regarding the subject. The literature review section is divided into two sections. The first section briefly explains the recycling issue. The second section includes studies on recycling in Turkey and in the world. The current study measured and determined the focus group's level of awareness about recycling. SPSS was used to analyze the data. A total of 4885 people participated in the study. 60.8% of the participants were women and 39.2% of them were men. Participants had an average score of 106.04 (SD = 17.80) from the environmental awareness and sensitivity scale and considering that the maximum score to be obtained was 140, the participants were at a partially good level in terms of environmental awareness and sensitivity.

Due to environmental pollution, unplanned urbanization, excessive and uncontrolled consumption, global warming and pandemics, the world we live in is gradually moving away from being a liveable place. The continuation of biological life in the world depends on the improvement of environmental awareness in individuals. One of the important phenomena that develops environmental awareness in individuals is religion. There are some teachings in the heavenly and worldly religions that regulate the relationship of human beings with the environment. In this study, the relationship between environmental awareness and some demographic variables and devoutness were examined. The research sample consists of 589 individuals from different ages and professions residing in Trabzon. Environmental Awareness Scale and Ok-Religious Attitude Scale were used as measurement tools in the research. Correlation, t-test, one-way anova and regression analysis processes were applied in the analysis of the data. As a result of the analysis, statistically significant relationships were found between age, gender, marital status and occupation, religious attitude and environmental awareness. Regarding the main problem of the research, positive and significant relationships were found between religious attitude and environmental awareness. The research has revealed that the effective struggle with environmental problems is possible with the development of environmental awareness in individuals, and religion can make important contributions in this regard. In the province of Tokat Turkey has an important place in terms of agricultural fertilizers and manure in order to demonstrate the environmentally conscious manufacturer 88 were interviewed. It was observed that the producers interviewed within the scope of the research are in the age range of active working age and have a socio-economic structure that makes a living from agricultural income. Factors such as age / education have a great impact on the economic structure as well as on production. Since income will be the biggest indicator of the economic structure, the income status of the producers has been investigated. Annual average agricultural income of producers is 22,311.36 TL, while non-agricultural income is calculated as 24,886.32 TL. Thus, it can be said that the average annual income of the producers is 47,197.68 TL. Here is what producers think about the residue after using the fertilizer; 48.86% of them thought that there would be manure residues and that it would have a negative impact on the environment, 43.18% of the manure would accumulate in the soil and underground water sources, 15.91% of the manure would be washed away in various ways, 11.36% had no idea about the manure residue and 6.82% that some fertilizers will leave residue in the soil. When the econometric relationship between the type of producer (the producer who only farms and works in non-agricultural insured work) and the idea that the fertilizer will accumulate in the soil and groundwater resources, it was determined that there is a significant and positive relationship. In other words, it can be said that producers have knowledge about the factors that cause environmental pollution. However, it continues to fertilize unconsciously without thinking that environmental pollution will harm them over time. This result once again highlights the importance of the training need.

In this study, the effect of religious commitment, environmental awareness and extroversion factors on consumers' intention to buy green products has been tried to be revealed. Data were collected from a total of 434 individuals aged 17-21 years, between 1 March and 30 April 2021, using the easy sampling method. The collected data were subjected to Factor Analysis and Path Analysis with the PLS-SEM method. First of all, the validity and reliability of the scale used in the research was proven. Then, the research model and hypotheses were tested with Path Analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that all of the hypotheses were accepted. Accordingly, the Religious Affiliation factor positively and significantly affects Environmental Awareness, Extraversion, and Green Product Purchasing Intention. It has been found that the factor of Extraversion has a positive and significant effect on Environmental Awareness and Green Product Purchasing Intention. Finally, the Environmental Awareness factor has also been found to positively and significantly affect the Green Product Purchasing Intent. The main cause of environmental problems is the increasing world population and people's consumption of the environment to earn more. As a result, the ecological balance is disturbed and environmental problems gain a global dimension. While some disciplines continue their research by focusing on environmental problems, an increasing emphasis is placed on the interaction between human and environment in the social field; it is observed that the sensitivity on this issue has increased in businesses. Environmental activities have increased rapidly with the support of various national organizations. These indicators draw the social responsibility areas of organizations. The aim of this study is to determine the knowledge levels and perceptions of Sivas Cumhuriyet University students regarding global warming and climate change. In the study, data were collected from 382 students. The data were analyzed with SPSS program by using frequency, percentage, averages, independent sample t test and ANOVA tests. The general level of knowledge of the students about climate change is "medium", however, it has been determined that the level of knowledge about "struggle" related to climate change is "lower". In the research findings, students defined climate change as "disruption of natural balance". It has been determined that the sources of information about students' global warming and climate changes are mostly internet, scientific studies and TV-radio. Students' views on the causes of climate changes were determined as "air pollution, deforestation and puncture of the ozone layer", respectively. In the research findings, it was also determined that there were significant differences between monthly income, science field, father's profession, where the family lives, taking lessons about climate conditions and students' views on climate change. According to the fields of science, it is determined that students studying in the social sciences have a lower level of knowledge about the effects of climate change and ways of struggle. As a result, it may be suggested to provide effective trainings and awareness raising in order to increase the knowledge levels of students on climate change, and especially on "struggle" related to climate change. Plastic bags, which have an important place in the lives of consumers due to their advantages, cause damage in many areas during the production and consumption stages. Therefore, there are discussions about the use of plastic bags. The use of plastic bags is completely banned in some countries around the world due to the environmental and human health damages. In some countries, the use of plastic bags has started to be reduced with implemantions such as environmental tax and paid plastic bags. With the legal regulation implemented on January 1, 2019 in our country, it was decided to sell plastic bags at the markets for a fee. As of this date, plastic bags started to be sold for 25 cents in the markets. Therefore, the main purpose of the research is; consumers' awareness of the damages of plastic bags, environmental awareness, support to the law and social pressure factors to determine the effects of plastic bag reduction intention and using cloth bag intention. Another aim is to determine the effect of plastic bag reduction intention and using cloth bag intention on sustainable behavior. The questionnaire prepared for this purpose was applied to 427 consumers between 25.08.2019 and 25.09.2019. As a result of analysis of the obtained data with SPSS 21 and AMOS 24; awareness, environmental awareness, support for the law and social pressure have positive effects on the plastic bag reduction intention and using cloth bag intention, and plastic bag reduction intention and using cloth bag intention have positive effects on sustainable behavior. The aim of this study is to develop a scale in order to analyze the environmental awareness of university students. In this direction, 76 five-point likert type scale items were prepared by searching related literature. The prepared scale was applied to 355 students of 487 students from Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. The data was analyzed by using SPSS 22 program. Factor analysis was performed on the scale and the items that the factor load of less than 0.50 were removed from the draft scale. In the reliability analysis, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient was determined to be 0.70. At the end of the analyse 33 items of 76 items were removed and the final version of scale was formed. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient for whole test was found to be 0.872.

Objective: Considering that the water potential in the world is constant, it is very important for all people to be aware of their water consumption habits and the situations affecting water resources. Because of the relationship between water and health, the sensitivity of physicians or candidate physicians to this subject has a special importance. The aim of this study is to evaluate the attitudes and behaviors of the first and sixth grade students of Gaziantep University Medical Faculty, regarding their water usage through the water usage scale. Methods: IThis study is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in the first and sixth grade students of Gaziantep University Medical Faculty in the 2018-2019 academic year. While in the first grades the questionnaire was applied electronically via http://tipdekanlik.gantep.edu.trlnews.php link, in the sixth grades, the students were given a questionnaire and received after completing them. In the research, Water Usage Questionnaire Attitude-Behavior Scale was used to measure students' attitudes and behaviors about water. The data obtained were analyzed in SPSS 22 program. p <0.05 was considered significant. Results: A total of 242 students participated in the research. 54.1% of the students participating in the research were women and 45.9% were men. 53.3% of the students study in the first grade, 46.7% in the sixth grade. All students participating in the study, the mean scores were found to be as 23.1 ± 6.5 for attitude scale, and 23.1 ± 6.5 for behavior scale. No significant results were found between the attitude and behavior subscale mean scores by gender (p> 0.05). The attitude scale mean score of the sixth grade students was found higher than the first grade students (p <0.05), and there was no significant difference between the classes in the behavior scale mean scores (p> 0.05). It was determined that maternal education being undergraduate and above significantly increases the mean scores of attitude scale and it does not affect the mean scores of behavior scale. Conclusion: It is thought-provoking that the scale scores we applied in our research in an educated group, such as students of the Medical Faculty, are not very high in terms of awareness about the water. It seems necessary for the future to keep the subject on the agenda in order to improve the attitudes and behaviors of the physician candidates regarding water, to produce and implement solutions according to the results obtained researches. Global warming and the associated climate changes are considered by many to be the biggest problem facing world societies. The important role falls to the individual as well as institutions in the fight against this problem. Issues related to shopping behaviors, household practices and lifestyles cause environmental pollution and increase greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, the findings regarding the relationship between environmental awareness, environmental household practices and purchasing behavior, and the effect of socioeconomic characteristics of parents on this relationship are presented by using the data obtained from 403 households in Niğde. It was concluded that the awareness that constitutes a dimension of environmental awareness increased with the education of parents, whereas education is not sufficient for environmental behaviors. A similar result was obtained in terms of household income. When the findings obtained in the study are taken into consideration as a whole, it is concluded that the environmental awareness remaining in the awareness dimension is not sufficient for the implementation of environmental practices of the households, the households can only support the reduction of environmental problems by reaching environmental awareness at the level of internalization. In recent years, it has been seen that airlines have given importance to environmentalist applications during their service process. Finding out the passenger attitudes toward these activities is important for airlines in order to shape their green marketing activities. Studies related to the passenger attitudes towards green airlines are relatively limited in national literature. Therefore, in this study, general environment awareness and attitudes of the passengers towards green airlines were examined. In this study, a survey was conducted with Turkish passengers in different airports of Turkey. Questionnaires including 5-point Likert scale organized as "strongly disagree (=1)" to "strongly agree (=5)" were applied to the passengers. Also, respondents' demographic and flight information as; gender, age, education level, average monthly income, flight type, flight purpose, flight frequency and the reason for selecting the airline were asked. T-test, ANOVA and Regression analysis were applied to analyze the data. According to the analysis result, the environmental awareness of women and elder passengers is higher than the others. Moreover, passengers in the high-income group are more likely to have positive attitudes towards green airline operations. In addition, there is a relationship between the passengers' environmental consciousness and their attitudes towards green airlines.
