The study aims to determine the relationship between school administrators' paternalistic leadership behaviours and teachers' work alienation levels. The research sample group involves 205 teachers working in the Anatolian high schools in the central district of Siirt. Research data was collected through the "Paternalistic Leadership Behaviours Scale of School Principals" and the "Work Alienation Scale". According to the descriptive and Pearson correlation analysis results of the research, it was determined that the paternalistic leadership behaviours of the school administrators are at a "strongly agree" level while the work alienation of the teachers is at a "somewhat agree" level, and a negative moderate significant relationship was found between the paternalistic leadership behaviours and the teachers' work alienation levels. The path analysis revealed that benevolent leadership predicts the powerlessness and meaninglessness dimension negatively significantly; authoritarian leadership predicts the powerlessness dimension positively significantly, and moral leadership predicts meaninglessness and self-estrangement negatively significantly. Moreover, it was also established that, in general, paternalistic leadership behaviours predict the teachers' work alienation negatively significantly as a whole. As a result of the research, school administrators were suggested to display helpful and ethical behaviours by watching over the teachers in various matters.

The objective of this study is to contribute to the increasing database regarding the effects of school leadership on teachers' data usage by investigating the relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school principals and data-driven decision-making at their schools based on the mediating and moderating effects of the knowledge management variable. 408 teachers from 14 provinces of Turkey in the 2020-2021 academic year were included in the study. The School Principal Technological Leadership Competency Scale, the Knowledge Management Scale, and the Data-Driven Decision-Making in Schools Scale were used as data collection tools in this cross-sectional quantitative study. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used in data analysis. The study results demonstrate the school principals' practices of technological leadership, knowledge management at schools, and data-driven decision-making to be high. It has been found out in the study that knowledge management implementations play a mediating role in data-driven decision-making at schools by increasing the technological leadership competency levels of school principals, while not having a moderating effect on the relationship between technological leadership and data-driven decision-making. In addition, technological leadership and knowledge management have been identified to be significant and positive predictors of data-driven decision-making. Based on the study results, suggestions have been made to improve the technological leadership behaviors and knowledge management implementations of school principals at schools.

This research aimed to evaluate the school administrators' and teachers' views about the use of social media at schools as a new platform in organizational communication. Phenomenology, a qualitative research model, was used in the research. A total of 17 participants who were included in the research (school administrators and teachers) were selected by using the purposive sampling methods that were well-suited to the qualitative research studies, namely, the "maximum variation sampling method" and the "criterion sampling method". Participants' views were received via semi-structured and in-depth interviews. The research data were analyzed by using the NVivo 12.0 software. The inductive descriptive analysis, content analysis, and the constant comparison technique were utilized in the interpretation of interview texts. In this context, the participants' views were grouped under the themes of "views about the definition of social media", "views about whether the use of social media at schools is necessary", "views about the purpose of using social media at schools", "views about the likely effects of using social media at schools", and "views about recommending the use of social media at schools". In the research, the participants stated that they viewed social media as a communication tool, the use of social media at schools was necessary, social media platforms could be used for education & instruction and giving (sharing) information, social media could have positive effects besides negative effects, and certain societal, technical, and legal measures should be taken to assure that the social media was used effectively. To ensure the professional use of social media at schools, it is recommended that educators undergo professional development.

This study aims to determine the main problems faced in administration by the school principals of kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools, stemming from teachers, school personnel other than teachers, students, parents, etc.; and to identify the solutions proposed for these main problems. The research is a qualitative research modeled in the screening model and case study. Study group of the research consisted of 12 school principals selected through maximum sampling method, and working in state kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools in the central district of Siirt in 2017-2018 school year. Research data was analysed through descriptive analysis and content analysis by utilizing semi-structured interview method. According to the research results, it was found out that school principals face with problems such as "teachers' disregard and negligence of their tasks, low qualifications of the school personnel other than teachers, disobedience to school and classroom rules by the students, accusatory and biased attitudes of the parents, under-allocation of funds to schools". Moreover, it was determined that in relation to these main problems, school principals suggested to "introduce a payment system based on performance and career, to outsource cleaning services, to make home visits to meet the parents, to organize guidance and training activities for parents, and to allocate a separate budget for each school", as solutions proposed.

It has become increasingly important to provide equal educational opportunities to all students for quality and sustainable education in classrooms with rapidly increasing diversity. In this context, communication skills, social intelligence and intercultural sensitivity are important competences that can affect teacher performance and efficiency in classrooms. Despite the importance of these competencies, empirical studies examining the relationships between these variables are scarce. Consequently, this study aimed to investigate the relationships between teacher candidates' communication skills and their intercultural sensitivity and social intelligence levels through the application of structural equation modeling (SEM). The participants were selected from among the teacher candidates studying at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, a public university in Türkiye, using simple random sampling method. The results indicated that teacher candidates had high levels of communication skills, intercultural sensitivity and social intelligence. In addition, while there was a significant positive relationship between communication skills and intercultural sensitivity level and social intelligence level at low level, there was a significant positive relationship between intercultural sensitivity and social intelligence level at medium level. Furthermore, communication skills and intercultural sensitivity were found to be significant predictors of social intelligence and intercultural sensitivity had a partial mediating role in the relationship between communication skills and social intelligence. This research aims to determine the trends in the studies on authentic leadership carried out between 2010 and 2022 in Türkiye. Descriptive content analysis, one of the systematic review types, was applied in the research. As a result of the reviews made based on the research criteria, 144 studies were obtained. The "Authentic Leadership Publication Classification Form" developed by the researcher was utilised as the data collection tool. Data was analysed using frequencies, percentages, tables and figures (graphs). As a result of the research, it was determined that the studies on authentic leadership were mainly single-author articles and written by male researchers. It was observed that theses on authentic leadership were mostly written at Hacettepe University and İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, while the articles were mostly published in the Journal of Academic Social Sciences and the Journal of Procedia-Social and Behavioural Sciences. It was determined that the highest number of studies on authentic leadership were carried out in 2019, the number of studies published in the Turkish language and the field of business administration was higher, and the most studied topics along with authentic leadership were psychological capital, organisational commitment, innovation, organisational citizenship and job satisfaction, respectively. It was also identified that the quantitative method and relational screening model were frequently applied in the research and that the participants mainly consisted of the employees of the companies and enterprises. The sampling method was not mentioned in most of the research, but the studies specifying the sampling method mostly benefited from the random and convenience sampling methods. Moreover, it was noticed that the studies were mostly conducted with varying numbers of participants, ranging from 201 to 300, using surveys and scales as the data collection tools and SPSS as the statistical software. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether or not deism is effective among students at Ankara University, as well as to develop a deism scale appropriate for the Turkish context. For this purpose, it was necessary to operationalize the concept of deism to identify four subcategories within it. These subcategories include distrust of religious institutions and organizations, the belief that God does not intervene in the world, independence from religious taboos and rules, and the choice of rationalism when reason and revelation conflict. The ranges in the deism questions, which were designed according to the Likert scale, were converted into a hundred-point system, and scored using an ideal theist scoring system of zero and an ideal deist scoring system of 100 to determine the level of influence of deism in each category. The research project was designed in 2018 and approved as decision number 289 at meeting number 09 of the Ankara University Ethics Committee on 19 July 2019. The study was conducted online using a haphazard sample of 453 students as a result of a number of difficulties encountered during the data collection period. There were 918 participants in the first phase of the study, but since the goal of the study was to measure the effectiveness of deism, atheists were excluded from participating in the study. The researchers found that one in five students were atheists, and one in four were deists or held another religious belief that was not related to Islam. A random sample of 1% of the student population at Ankara University was selected for the remaining participants. The demographic data obtained were regarded as independent variables, while the deism score was regarded as a dependent variable. As a result of these scores, political identity polarization among Ankara University students can be related to the effectiveness of deism. The political climate has an impact on the ongoing debates regarding deism. The crosstabulations showed no significant differences between the scores of the independent variables such as age, gender, place of residence, and socio-economic status groups. It is notable that deism is more commonly respected by the students of the social sciences as compared to the students of the natural sciences in terms of faculties. It is also noteworthy that according to the results of the study, there is a tendency for some subcategories of students who declare themselves to be Muslim to exhibit deistic tendencies. As a traditional theistic religion, Islam, which is a very influential religion among its members with its congregational activities and cultural institutionalization, has a strong influence over the participants, but when it comes to rationality and the absence of God's intervention, there is a tendency towards deism. In the conclusion of this article, the shortcomings of this scale developed for Turkey are discussed and suggestions are made for further research in this area. International scholars will be able to gain deep insight into how deism affects university students in Turkey as a result of the study and will be able to gain valuable information about religious life in Turkey as a result of the study. This study aims to determine the variables that predict teachers' organizational happiness levels. The study is quantitative in the predictive correlational type, which is one of the general screening models. The data of the study were analysed with ordinal logistic regression. The sample group of the study consists of 605 teachers working in pre-school, primary, secondary and high schools in Çankaya district of Ankara province with the stratified sampling method. "Organizational Happiness Scale" and "Empowering Leadership Scale" were used as assessment tools in the study. The organizational happiness level of teachers, which is the dependent variable of the study, was defined as a threecategory variable in the form of low, medium and high with the K-means clustering algorithm. In the study, it was determined that only marital status, socio-economic level of the school and empowering leadership behaviours predicted teachers' organizational happiness levels significantly. The order of importance regarding the predictive level of the predictor variables, from the largest to the smallest, is the school with a high socio-economic level, the school with a medium level of empowering leadership behaviours, marital status and socio-economic level. Based on the results obtained, various suggestions have been made in the research to improve the socio-economic environment of schools as educational organizations and to support the behaviour of school administrators to empower teachers. This research aims to determine the overall effect size of gender and marital status on the perception of paternalistic leadership. In line with the research objective, studies on the perception of paternalistic leadership carried out between 2005 and 2022 in Türkiye were analysed with the meta-analysis method. Metaanalysis covered 22 studies on gender (n Gender=9569) and 10 studies on marital status (n Marital Status=6397) on the perception of paternalistic leadership. In this metaanalysis study utilising the random effects model, the Hedges' g value determining the standardised mean difference between the groups was used to calculate the effect sizes, and the origin of the heterogeneity in the research was tried to be determined by the moderator (sub-group) analyses. Research results revealed that the overall effect size of gender on the perception of paternalistic leadership was at a low level, with a value of 0.170, while the effect size of marital status was at a mean level, with a value of -0.523. However, it was determined in the moderator (sub-group) analyses that the effect size led to a statistically significant difference just in terms of sample groups in both gender and marital status variables.
