Background: The recent 2019 European Society of Cardiology/European Atherosclerosis Society practice guidelines introduced a new risk categorization for patients with diabetes. We aimed to compare the implications of the 2016 and 2019 European Society of Cardiology/European Atherosclerosis Society guidelines with regard to the lipid-lowering treatment use, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol goal attainment rates, and the estimated proportion of patients who would be at goal in an ideal setting. Methods: Patients with diabetes were classified into 4 risk categories according to 2019 European Society of Cardiology/European Atherosclerosis Society dyslipidemia guidelines from the database of EPHESUS (cross-sectional, observational, countrywide registry of cardiology outpatient clinics) study. The use of lipid-lowering treatment and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol goal attainment rates were then compared according to previous and new guidelines. Results: This analysis included a total of 873 diabetic adults. Half of the study population (53.8%) were on lipid-lowering treatment and almost one-fifth (19.1%) were on high-intensity statins. While low-density lipoprotein cholesterol goal was achieved in 19.5% and 7.5% of patients, 87.4% and 69.6% would be on target if their lipid-lowering treatment was intensified according to 2016 and 2019 European Society of Cardiology/European Atherosclerosis Society lipid guidelines, respectively. Background: The Appropriateness of Aspirin Use in Medical Outpatients: A Multicenter, Observational Study trial has been the largest study ever conducted among patients in Turkey regarding aspirin treatment. In the subgroup analysis of the hypertensive group of the Appropriateness of Aspirin Use in Medical Outpatients: A Multicenter, Observational Study trial, we aimed to evaluate the physicians' adherence to current guidelines regarding their aspirin treatment preferences. Methods: The Appropriateness of Aspirin Use in Medical Outpatients: A Multicenter, Observational Study trial is a cross-sectional and multicenter study conducted among 5007 consecutive patients aged ≥18 years. The study population consisted of outpatients on aspirin treatment (80-300 mg). The patient data were obtained from 30 different cardiology clinics of 14 cities from all over Turkey. In this subgroup analysis, patients were divided into 2 groups: the hypertensive group (n=3467, 69.3%) and the group without hypertension (n=1540, 30.7%) according to the 2018 European Society of Cardiology/ European Society of Hypertension Guidelines for the Management of Arterial Hypertension. Results: Aspirin use for primary prevention was higher in patients with hypertension compared to patients without hypertension [328 (21.3%); 1046 (30.2%); P < .001]. Treatment with a dose of 150 mg aspirin (n=172, 5%) was mostly preferred by internists for hypertensive patients (n =226, 6.5%); however, a daily dose of 80-100 mg aspirin therapy (n=1457, 94.6%) was mostly prescribed by cardiologists (n=1347, 87.5%) for patients without hypertension. Conclusion: Aspirin was found to be used commonly among patients with hypertension for primary prevention despite the current European Society of Cardiology Arterial Hypertension Guideline not recommending aspirin for primary prevention in patients with hypertension.

This study aims to investigate multicultural personality traits and attitudes towards gender roles of psychological counselor candidates (PCC). A total of 234 (156 female, 67%) PCCs completed measures of Gender Roles Attitude Scale, Multicultural Personality Scale and the Personal Information. Correlation analysis, variance analysis, independent samples t-test, regression analysis and mediation analysis were performed for data analyzing. This study showed that while attitudes towards gender roles of PCCs have a significantdifference in terms of gender, mother working status and place where most of life is passed, no significant difference was observed according to the grade level. Furthermore, multicultural personality traits were related to attitudes toward the gender roles. In addition, gender, cultural empathy, flexibility and social initiative multicultural personality traits explained about 31% of the variance in the attitudes towards gender roles of PCCs. Lastly, cultural empathy and flexibility had a partially mediating effect on the predictive role of gender.

Böylece fintech ve dijital para gibi bazı yeni kavramlar literatürde yerini almaya başlamıştır. 2009 yılından sonra da blokzincir teknolojisi sayesinde kripto para kavramı Bitcoin ile birlikte popülerlik kazanmıştır.Dahası, kripto para kavramını gerçekten çekici hale getiren olay 2017 yılında on iki aylık dönem içerisinde bir adet Bitcoin’ in fiyatının Amerikan doları karşısında %1.584 değer kazanmasıdır. Bu olay birçok yatırımcıyı ve borsa simsarını kripto para piyasasına çekmiş ve başka kripto paraların da piyasaya arz edilmesini sağlamıştır.Bu çalışmada ise hem kavramın popülerliği hem de kullanım alanı açısından teknik analizin kripto paralar üzerine uygulanması açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada dört temel teknik analiz yöntemi olan RSI, MACD, OBV ve fiyat trendi kullanılarak 2013-2018 aralığındaki fiyat verileri incelenmiştir. Çalışma bulguları kripto paralar üzerine teknik analiz uygulamasının mümkün olabileceğini göstermiştir. Ancak her ne kadar bu mümkün olsa da, her bir para biriminin farklı fiyat seviyeleri ve dalgalanmaya sahip olması sebebiyle tüm kripto paralar için tek bir teknik analiz göstergesi ya da stratejisinin olamayacağı anlaşılmıştır. Teknik analiz göstergelerinin (RSI, MACD ve OBV) fiyat trend takibi ile birlikte uygulanması durumunda ise daha iyi karlılık performası sağlayabileceği gözlemlenmiştir.--------------------Developments of the information and internet technology in recent years lead financial services in international area to evolve. Some new concepts such as fintech and digital-money have been begun to take place in literature. After 2009, the word of “crypto currency”has gained popularity with the appearance of Bitcoin and help of the blockchain technology. In addition to this, the milestone for this term is that Bitcoin appreciated versus to US Dollar by %1584 for 12-month period in 2017. Such a price movement has attracted many investors and traders to the cryptocurrency markets. The aim of this study is to explain implementation of technical analysis on cryptocurrencies together with the popularity of the concept. RSI, MACD, OBV and price trends were used as four general technical analysis methods by using price data covering 2013-2018 period. The results indicate that it is possible to use technical analysis for cryptocurrencies. However, it is understood that there is no accurate or unique strategy for all kind of cryptocurrencies because of their different price levels and volatility. It is observed that technical analysis indicators (RSI, MACD and OBV) would provide better profitability performance if they implemented with price trend tracking.

Bu çalışmada Ankara ili Kızılcahamam ilçesinde yapımına başlanan Kızılcahamam Atıksu Arıtma Tesisi'nin inşa edileceği temel zemininde uygulanan jet grout kolonlarının imalat süreci, yükleme altındaki performansları ve kalite kontrol yöntemleri tanıtılmıştır. Toplam inşaat sahası yaklaşık 22000 m2 alanı kaplamaktadır. Proje sahası alüvyon zemini çakıllı kumlu kil bileşiminin muhtelif tabakalarından oluşmaktadır. Yüzeysel temel tasarımında, radye temellerin oturmaları yaklaşık 6,5 cm hesaplanmış ve oturma probleminin önüne geçilmesi için jet grout imalatına karar verilmiştir. Proje kapsamında 909 adet jet grout kolonu imalatı gerçekleştirilmiş, bu kolonlardan 9'u üzerinde kazık yükleme deneyi, 52'si üzerinde kazık süreklilik deneyi ve 37 kolondan elde edilen karot örnekleri üzerinde tek eksenli basınç deneyleri yürütülmüştür. Plaxis 3D Foundation sonlu elemanlar yazılımıyla jet grout kolonları modellenmiş ve arazi koşullarındaki yükleme işlemi programda tekrar edilmiştir. Teorik ve ampirik yöntemlerle jet grout kolonlarının taşıma kapasiteleri ve oturmaları hesaplanmıştır. Yükleme deneyinden elde edilen sonuçlar ile teorik yöntemler ve Plaxis 3D Foundation sonlu elemanlar yazılımından elde edilen sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, proje kapsaminda jetgrout kolon temel sistemi üzerinde inşa edilen 2 yapının oturması monitörize edilmiştir. In this study, construction stages, performance and quality control measures of jet grout columns of Ankara Kızılcahamam Wastewater Treatment Plant were presented. The total construction field covers approximately 22000 m2 area. The project site alluvium soil profile consists of various stratification of gravelly sandy clay composition. According to shallow foundation design approach, the settlement of the mat foundations were estimated around 6,5 cm thus it was decided to construct jet grout columns in order to minimize the settlement. In the project, 909 jet grout columns were produced and pile load test on 9 piles, pile integrity test on 52 piles were carried out. Uniaxial compression tests were conducted on the 37 core samples extracted from different jet grout columns. Jet grout columns were modeled with Plaxis 3D Foundation finite element software and in-situ loading conditions was simulated in the program. The ultimate bearing capacity and settlement of the jet grout columns were estimated by theoretical and empirical methods. The results obtained from pile loading test, teoretical methods and Plaxis 3D Foundation finite element software were compared. Moreover, within the extent of the project, settlement of jet grout column foundation system of 2 structures has been monitored. 111

İran, jeopolitik konumu itibariyle Orta Asya ile Orta Doğu ve Avrupa arasında köprü görevi görmektedir. Bu bakımdan Orta Asya'dan Anadolu'ya geçen Türkler, İran coğrafyasını kullanmış ve bir kısmı Anadolu'ya geçmeyip İran'ı yurt tutmuştur. İran çok etnikli bir yapıya sahip devlettir. İran'da varlığını sürdürmekte olan etnik topluluklar Türkler ve Farslar başta olmak üzere Araplar, Kürtler, Beluçlar, Gilani ve Mazenderaniler'dir. İran coğrafyasını yaklaşık bin yıl boyunca yöneten topluluk olan Türkler, 1925 yılından itibaren etnik azınlık konumuna düşmüştür. Bu tarihten itibaren Türklerin anadilleri yasaklanmış, ekonomik baskılara maruz bırakılmış, kültürel ve etnik asimilasyon kendini göstermiştir. İran devletinin 1925-1979 arasında uyguladığı tüm etniklerin tek bir millet olarak 'İranlılık' çatısı ve 1979 İslam Devrimi ile birlikte 'İslamin Şii yorumu' ve 'Farslılık' altında birleştirme fikri ve baskısı İran'da varlığını sürdüren Türkler de dahil olmak üzere bütün etnik toplulukları rahatsız etmiştir. İran'da varlığını sürdüren Türkler bu baskılardan ve asimilasyon politikalarından yılmamıştır. Bu bağlamda 1905-1911 Meşrutiyet hareketiyle başlayan aydınlanma ve baskıya karşı başkaldırı olan Türk milliyetçiliği hareketleri doğmuştur. Türk milliyetçiliği hareketi zaman zaman devletleşme sonucuna varmış olsa da küresel güçlerin de yardımıyla İran devleti tarafından bastırılmıştır. Halen İran'da varlığın sürdüren Güney Azerbaycanlı Türkler kendi öz benliklerini korumak ve Türk olarak varlıklarını sürdürebilmek için uluslararası hukuka uygun olarak sivil toplum kuruluşları nezdinde faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir. Çalışmada, ulus-etnisite-milliyetçilik ideolojileri ele alınmış, İran'da varlığını sürdüren Türklerin bu ideolojiler temelinde nasıl davrandığı incelenmiştir. Ayrıca İran'ın tarihi ve sosyal yapısı ele alınmış ve İran'da varlığının sürdüren Türklerin İran coğrafyasına dağılımı ve nüfusları ele alınmıştır. Son olarak Güney Azerbaycan'da yaşayan Türklerin milliyetçilik hareketleri tarihsel motivasyonları ele alınmış ve 1979 İslam devriminde ve sonrasındaki milliyetçilik hareketleri sebep sonuç ilişkisi içerisinde değerlendirilmiştir.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine the baseline clinical characteristics and the cardiovascular drug usage of patients aged ≥80 years who were admitted to cardiology clinics and to compare the cardiovascular disease and risk factors with patients aged 65-79 years who participated in the Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Disease in Elderly Turkish Population (ELDER-TURK) study. METHODS The ELDER-TURK study included 5694 patients aged over 65 years who were followed up at cardiology clinics between March 2015 and December 2015. The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and the risk factors of 1098 patients aged ≥80 years (Group II) were compared with 4596 patients aged 65-79 years (Group I). RESULTS The mean age of Group I was 71.1±4.31 years (male: 50.2%) and the mean age of Group II was 83.5±3.12 years (male: 47.5%). The prevalence rate was 71.3% for hypertension, 24.6% for diabetes mellitus (DM), 44.7% for coronary artery disease (CAD), 35.9% for atrial fibrillation (AF), and 15.5% for renal failure.
