Temel eğitimden itibaren sosyal bilimlere ilişkin disiplinlerden oluşan konuların öğrenci seviyesine uygun olarak verildiği ve temel amacı etkin vatandaş yetiştirmek olan Sosyal Bilgiler dersi tarihsel süreçte pek çok gelişimsel dönem yaşamıştır. Sosyal Bilgilerin resmi olarak Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde ortaya çıktığı 1916 yılına kadar dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinde sosyal bilimlere ilişkin tarih, coğrafya gibi dersler verildiği bilinmektedir. 1916 yılında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde sosyal bilimlere ilişkin konuların disiplinler arası yaklaşımla bütünleştirilerek verildiği Sosyal Bilgiler dersi ortaya çıkmıştır. Tarih, coğrafya gibi tek disiplinli ders anlayışından çok disiplinli ya da disiplinler arası yaklaşıma geçişte dünyada yaşanan toplumsal ve siyasal gelişmelerin önemli etkisi olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin tarihî gelişimi ilk olarak ortaya çıktığı Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ndeki gelişimsel süreç bağlamında incelenecektir., The social studies course, in which the subjects of social sciences disciplines are given in accordance with the level of the student since basic education and the main purpose is to raise active citizens, has experienced many developmental periods in the historical process. It is known that until 1916, when social studies officially emerged in the United States, courses such as history and geography related to social sciences were given in various parts of the world. In 1916, the Social Studies course emerged in the United States of America, in which subjects related to social sciences were integrated with an interdisciplinary approach. Social and political developments in the world had a significant impact on the transition from a single-disciplinary course understanding such as history and geography to a multi-disciplinary or interdisciplinary approach. In this study, the historical development of the Social Studies course will be examined in the context of the developmental process in the United States, where it first emerged.

Ermeni harfli Türkçe edebiyat, 14. yüzyıldan kalma geniş bir elyazması külliyatı ile 18. ve 20. yüzyıllar arasında basılmış matbu malzemeden oluşmaktadır. Kitaplar geniş bir coğrafyada kaleme alınmış olmakla birlikte içerikleri tek dilli veya iki dilli olup Türkçe (ve Ermenice) konuşan Osmanlı Ermenileri tarafından oluşturulmuştur. Bu nedenle, Ermeni harfli Türkçe metin üretimi, çeşitli türler ve farklı metin çeşitleri de dâhil olmak üzere, Ermeni ve Türk kültürleri arası etkileşimler yoluyla sağlanan metinsel üretimi temsil eder. Ermeni harfli Türkçe metin üretiminin kapsamı çok geniş olmasına rağmen, üniversitelerde Ermeni harfli Türkçe metinlerle akademik olarak incelenmesi ancak 2000’li yıllardan itibaren belirgin bir şekilde ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu geç ve sınırlı angajmanın en önemli nedeni, yazının ve dilin melez (veya hibrit) doğasının, Ermeni harfli Türkçe edebiyatın Türk ve Ermeni edebiyatı çalışmalarında bir yer edinmesine engel teşkil etmesi olabilir. Bu araştırma notunun amacı, Ermeni harfli Türkçe metinlerin Latin harfleriyle transkripsiyonu için bir standart önermektir. Uzun vadeli bir perspektifle, kapsayıcı (“inclusive”) edebiyat araştırmaları yapmayı ve Ermeni harfli Türkçe edebiyatı (Osmanlı-)Türk edebiyatı çerçevesinde incelemeyi hedefliyoruz.

Geometri, matematik müfredatının önemli bir parçasıdır. Yaygın olarak kullanılan ve geometri eğitimini yönlendiren van Hiele Teorisi’ni, 1957 yılında Dina van Hiele ve Pierre van Hiele çifti ortaya koymuştur. Van Hiele Teorisi’nin geometri öğretiminin odağı haline geldiği ve ülkelerin eğitim reformlarının bu teori etrafında şekillendirildiği düşünüldüğünde, teorinin büyük bir öneme sahip olduğu değerlendirilmektedir. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma ile van Hiele Teorisi’ni ayrıntılı olarak tanımlamak, teori ile ilgili ulusal ve uluslararası araştırmaların sonuçlarını sentezlemek, eleştirel ve bütüncül bakış açısıyla karşılaştırmalar yapmak, her iki alanda kullanılan düzey isimlendirme ve numaralandırma sistemini karşılaştırmak, van Hiele geometrik düşünme düzeylerini ölçmede kullanılan değerlendirme yöntemlerini her iki alanda da ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelemek, ilgili görüşmeleri yapmak ve teoriye dayalı olarak gerçekleştirilen öğretim uygulamalarının öğrencilerin geometrik düşünme düzeylerine etkilerini detaylıca sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Tematik içerik analiz yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada, ölçme aracına yönelik elde edilen veriler aynı zamanda durum çalışması ile desteklenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Türkçe vii 86, İngilizce 81 çalışma analiz edilmek üzere belirlenmiş, 41 öğretmen adayı ve 23 lisansüstü eğitim alan öğretmenle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler nitel veri analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma bulgularına bakıldığında, her iki alanda farklı öğrenme ortamlarının geometrik düşünme düzeylerine etkisini belirleme amacıyla çalışmalar yapıldığı, deneysel çalışmalara ağırlık verildiği, uluslararası alanyazında Türkiye’ye kıyasla daha geniş bir örneklem grubuyla çalışıldığı, veri toplama aracı olarak testlerin tercih edildiği ve farklı öğrenme ortamlarının öğrencilerin geometrik düşünme düzeylerini arttırmada etkili olduğu sonuçlarına varılmıştır. Bulgular incelendiğinde, her iki alanda düzeylere verilen isimlendirme ve numaralandırmaların çok fazla farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür. Ek olarak, her iki alanda ölçme-değerlendirme araçları incelendiğinde uluslararası alandaki araçların daha fazla çeşitliliğe sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca ulusal ve uluslararası alanyazındaki yapılan çalışmaların öğretim uygulamaları incelendiğinde, her iki alanyazından en çok tercih edilenin derslerde dinamik geometri yazılımı kullanılarak öğretimin tasarlanması olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlardan yola çıkarak bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Geometry is an important part of the mathematics curriculum. The van Hiele Theory, which is widely used and directs geometry education, was introduced by the couple Dina van Hiele and Pierre van Hiele in 1957. Considering that van Hiele Theory has become the focus of geometry teaching and that the education reforms of countries are shaped around this theory, it is thought that the theory has great importance. In this context, with this study, it is aimed to describe van Hiele Theory in detail, to synthesize the results of national and international research on the theory, to make comparisons with a critical and holistic perspective, to compare the level naming and numbering system used in both fields, to measure van Hiele's geometric thinking levels. It is aimed to examine the evaluation methods used in both areas in detail, to make relevant interviews and to present in detail the effects of theory-based teaching practices on students' geometric thinking levels. In this study, in which thematic content analysis method was used, the data obtained for the measurement tool were also supported by a case study. Within the scope of the research, 86 studies in Turkish and 81 studies in English were determined to be analyzed, and semi- ix structured interviews were conducted with 41 teacher candidates and 23 postgraduate teachers. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis method. When the study findings are examined, it is seen that studies are conducted to determine the effect of different learning environments on geometric thinking levels in both areas, experimental studies are emphasized, a larger sample group is studied in the international literature compared to Turkey, tests are preferred as data collection tools, and different learning environments are used to determine the geometrical thinking levels of students. It has been concluded that it is effective in increasing the level of thinking. When the findings were examined, it was seen that the naming and numbering given to the levels in both domains differed greatly. In addition, when the measurement-evaluation tools in both areas were examined, it was concluded that the tools in the international area had more diversity. In addition, when the teaching practices of the studies in the national and international literature were examined, it was concluded that the most preferred one from both literatures was the design of teaching using dynamic geometry software in the courses. Based on the results obtained in the study, some suggestions were made.

The study aims is to determine the experiences of primary school teachers in terms of teaching Turkish to the students who are not native Turkish speakers. In the study, phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research patterns, was used. Participants were determined by the criterion-based sampling method. The participants of the research consisted of 36 primary school teachers who had Syrian and Afghan refugees in their class. The research data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers. Content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data. It was observed that most of the participants felt insufficient in teaching Turkish to students who had different native languages, had problems in applying, measuring and evaluating teaching methods and course activities, and had language problems with them. In the study, the difficulties experienced in teaching Turkish to Syrian and Afghan refugee students who were not native Turkish speakers were presented and the suggestions about what to do in the education process related to these difficulties were provided. It was concluded that in the education process of the teachers, students and families should take Turkish language courses. Moreover, in addition to the Turkish courses in teaching Turkish, it was reported that the primary school teachers stated that it would be helpful to do social activities with students who have language problems, to provide counseling services for them, and to prearrange distribution of the students to each classroom. It was concluded that special activities should be carried out in the verbal communication learning area.

In this study it is aimed to determine the perceptions of the middle school students about textbooks through metaphors. For this purpose, the following questions were searched in the study: 1) What are the metaphors for middle school students about textbooks? 2) What conceptual categories can be gathered for the common features of metaphor emerging for textbooks? In the research, phenomenology which is one of the qualitative research designs was used. The participants of the research are 464 middle school students (235 boys, 226 girls) in Akyazı district of Sakarya Province in the academic year of 2017-2018. Data were reached with semi-structured forms. In order to reveal the metaphors related to the textbooks from the students who participated in the research, students are asked to complete the sentences "Textbooks ................... similar. Because ............. ".Data were analyzed through descriptive analysis. The findings from the research show that middle school students perceive textbooks in seven positive categories as “information source "," auxiliary resource "," guide "," happiness thing "," different world "," living object " and “others”; three negative categories as “Problem source", "unnecessary thing" and "burden".The students' metaphors for textbooks are most concentrated in the "information source" category. In this category, the most generated metaphors are the "information box" and the "computer" metaphors. The students' metaphors about textbooks are mostly concentrated in the "unnecessary" category. In this category, examples of metaphors such as "paper stack" and "empty box" are given

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD), with its most generaldefinition, is a disease represent by the formation of inflammation in the air-ways due to harmful particles and bronchoconstriction and irreversible enlargement and destruction of the lung sacs. Factors causing COPD include inhalation of tobacco or tobacco-like substances, environmental exposures, genetic factors, chemicals and air pollution. The drugs used in the treatment of COPD aim to reduce the breathing of patients, acute exacerbations and inflammation. While bronchodilator drugs, which are among the drugs used in treatment, prevent constriction, anti-inflammatory drugs act by reducing inflammation. It is also used in natural products such as ginger, mint and eucalyptus in the treatment ofCOPD. New methods are being improved for the treatment of COPD with the researches and studies conducted in recent years. In addition, new drugs are tried in treatment. More effective methods and drugs continue to be discovered for the treatment of COPD.Early diagnosis is of great importance in the treatment of COPD. Despite these, there is no cure for COPD.

Yaygın olarak kullanılan ve geometri eğitimini yönlendiren van Hiele teorisini, 1957 yılında Dina van Hiele ve Pierre van Hiele çifti ortaya koymuştur. Van Hiele çiftine göre geometrik düşünme düzeyleri hiyerarşik ve sıralı olan beş düzeyden oluşmaktadır. Alanyazında mevcut olan çalışmalar incelendiğinde, bu düzeyler için farklı numaralandırma ve isimlendirmelerin kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu araştırmada, Türkçe ve İngilizce alanyazında yer alan çalışmalarda kullanılan van Hiele düzey numaralandırmalarını ve düzeylere verilen isimlendirmelerdeki benzerlik ve farklılıkların ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda Türkçe (80) ve İngilizce (46) alanyazında toplam 126 çalışma belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler sonucunda Türkçe çalışmaların büyük bir kısmının 1-5; İngilizce çalışmaların ise 0-4 şeklinde numaralandırıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda düzeylere verilen isimlerde de çok fazla farklılık görülmüştür. En sık kullanılan düzey adlarının; Türkçe isimlendirmelerde sırasıyla “Görsel Dönem”, “Analiz”, “Yaşantıya Bağlı Çıkarım”, “Çıkarım” ve “En İleri Dönem” iken; İngilizce isimlendirmelerde “Visualization”, “Analysis”, “Informal Deduction”, “Deduction” ve 5. Düzey için “Rigor” şeklinde olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın, van Hiele geometrik düşünme düzeylerine verilecek Türkçe isimlendirmeler için bir standart oluşturulması yolunda önemli katkılar sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir., The widely used van Hiele theory, which guides geometry education, was introduced by Dina van Hiele and Pierre van Hiele in 1957. When the studies available in the literature are examined, it is seen that different numbering and naming are used for these levels. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the similarities and differences in the van Hiele level numbering and the naming given to the levels used in the studies in Turkish and English literature. In this context, 126 studies were identified in Turkish (80) and English (46) literature. As a result of the research data, most of the Turkish studies are 1-5; It was determined that English studies are numbered 0-4. There was also a lot of difference in the names given to the levels. The most preferred level names in Turkish for the 5th level are "Görsel Dönem", "Analiz", "Yaşantıya Bağlı Çıkarım", "Çıkarım" and "En İleri Dönem", on the other hand, it is seen that the names in English are "Visualization", "Analysis", "Informal Deduction", "Deduction" and "Rigor". It is thought that this research will make a significant contribution to the creation of a standard for the Turkish nomenclature to be given to van Hiele's geometric thinking levels.

In traditional medicine for inflammation and tumors, biliary disorders, anorexia, cough, topical wounds, diabetic wounds, hepatic disorders, rheumatism and sinusitis. It was used as a medicine. In recent years, extensive studies have been conducted to determine the biological activities and pharmacological effects of turmeric and its extracts. Curcumin, which is the main yellow bioactive component of turmeric, is known to have a wide bioactivity such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antiviral, antifibrotic, immunomodulator and antiulcer. Safety assessment studies show that curcumin is well tolerated without toxic effects when used in very high doses. Therefore, curcumin is a substance of high biological importance with the development potential of modern medicine for the treatment of various diseases. For this reason, more scientific studies on curcumin should be done and all the dark sides about this important compound should be illuminated.

Bu araştırmada Sosyal Bilgiler ders kitaplarında tarihi süreçte Türk kadınının konumu ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerini inceleyerek Türk kadını imgesini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Doküman incelemesi yöntemine dayanan bu araştırmanın örneklemini güncel olarak kullanılan farklı yayınevlerine ait üç adet Sosyal Bilgiler 6. sınıf ders kitabı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda ilk Türk devletlerinde kadının konumuyla ilgili söylemlerde eşitlik vurgusunun öne çıktığı görülmüştür. Türk kadınının İslamiyet ile birlikte sosyal hayattan tamamen çekilmediğinden söz eden kaynaklar yanında daha çok evde çocukların yetişmesiyle ilgilendiği vurgusu yapan kaynaklar da bulunmuştur. Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemlerine ilişkin olarak kadın hakları konusundaki gelişmelerden söz edilmiştir. Milli Mücadelede Türk kadınının fedakârlığı ve savaşçı yönü vurgulanmıştır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile birlikte ise Türk kadınının elde ettiği eğitim, hukuk, sosyal yaşam ve siyasi haklar ile birlikte eşitliğe kavuştuğu söylemi ön plana çıkarılmıştır.Tarihî süreçte Türk kadınının toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri de konumuna bağlı olarak çeşitlilik göstermiştir. İlk Türk devletlerinde hükümdar eşi, İslamiyet’in kabulüyle birlikte vakıf sahibi valide sultan, padişah eşi, padişah kızı ve çocuklarının yetişmesiyle ilgilenen anne rolü vurgulanmıştır. Osmanlı’nın son dönemlerinde Türk kadını ebe, öğretmen, devlet memuru, yazar, işçi, parti üyesi gibi çok çeşitli toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinde tasvir edilmiştir. The sample of this study, based on documentary analyses is three 6th grade Social Studies current textbooks with different publications. At the end of the research, it seems to be discourse of the status of woman in the first Turkish states based on emphasis of equality. Some sources assert that with Islam woman were not isolated from the social life completely. There also some other sources saying women are mostly at homes for carrying their children. In the late Ottoman period, women movements are mentioned. During the National Struggle term, women are emphasized as sacrifice and warrior. With the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish women’s right in education, law, social and political life paved the way to be equal with men.In the historical process, the gender roles of Turkish woman also show differences according to her status. They are described as queen (khatun) in the first Turkish states, valide sultan (king’s mother) as the owner of endowment, queen, princess and mother caring with children. In the late Ottoman period, Turkish woman is mentioned in different gender roles like midwife, teacher, government official, writer, worker, party member. While the National Struggle period, they are known as warrior identity, in the Republican period, they are mostly mentioned with their deputy roles in textbooks.Keywords: Turkish Woman İmage, Gender Roles, Social Studies Textbooks
