Objectives: This study aimed to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) model that can able automatic tooth numbering, frenulum attachments, gingival overgrowth areas, and gingival inflammation signs on intraoral photographs and to evaluate the performance of this model. Method and materials: A total of 654 intraoral photographs were used in the study (n=654). All photographs were reviewed by 3 periodontists, and all teeth, frenulum attachment, gingival overgrowth areas, and gingival inflammation signs on photographs were labeled using the segmentation method in a web-based labeling software. In addition, tooth numbering was carried out according to the FDI system. An AI model was developed with the help of YOLOv5x architecture with labels of 16795 teeth, 2493 frenulum attachments, 1211 gingival overgrowth areas, and 2956 gingival inflammation signs. The confusion matrix system and ROC analysis were used to statistically evaluate the success of the developed model. Results: The sensitivity, precision, F1 score, and AUC for tooth numbering were found as 0.990, 0.784, 0.875, and 0.989; were found as 0.894, 0.775, 0.830, and 0.827 for frenulum attachment; were found as 0.757, 0.675, 0.714, and 0.774 for gingival overgrowth area, and were found as 0.737, 0.823, 0.777, and 0.802 for gingival inflammation sign, respectively. Conclusion: The results of the present study have shown that AI systems can be successfully used to interpret intraoral photographs. These systems have the potential to accelerate the digital transformation in the clinical and academic functioning of dentistry with the automatic determination of anatomical structures and dental conditions from intraoral photographs

Son yıllarda sosyal medya kullanımının artması ile beraber neredeyse her konuda takip edilemeyecek kadar çok yorum bulunmaktadır. Bu yorumlar hem olumlu hem de olumsuz yorumlar içermektedir. Fakat günümüzde çok sayıda yorumu takip etmek neredeyse imkansızdır. Bu çalışmada açık erişimli Anadolu Üniversitesi’nin mobil uygulamasına yapılan kullanıcı yorumlarının çeşitli makine öğrenmesi teknikleri ile metin sınıflandırması yapıldı. Uygulamaya yapılan yorumların içerikle mi yoksa uygulama ile mi ilgili olduğu tahmin edilmeye çalışıldı. Buna ek olarak aşırı örnekleme ve az örneklemenin metin sınıflandırma performansına etkisi incelendi. Bu amaçla sentetik azınlık aşırı örnekleme tekniği (Smote), yoğun en yakın komşu az örnekleme tekniği (CNN) ve rasgele az örnekleme tekniği (RUS) veri setine uygulandı. Mobil uygulamadan alınan 1008 kullanıcı yorumu içerik ve uygulama açısından süreçlerden geçirilerek sınıflandırıldı. Smote aşırı örnekleme sınıflandırmasında ANN algoritması %93.57 doğrulukla en iyi sınıflandırma olarak bulundu. CNN algoritmasında Rassal Orman algoritması %72.22 doğrulukla en iyi sınıflandırmalar olarak bulundu. RUS tekniğinde ise Aşırı Gradient artırma %84.44 doğrulukla en iyi sınıflandırma olarak bulundu., With the increasing use of social media in recent years, there are too many comments to be followed on almost every issue. These comments contain both important and unimportant information. But, it is almost impossible to follow of so many comments nowadays. In this study, text classification of user comments made to the Anadolu University mobile application was made. It was estimated whether the comments made on the application were related to the content or the application. In addition, the effect of oversampling and undersampling on text classification performance was investigated. For this purpose, synthetic minority oversampling technique (Smote), condensed nearest neighbor undersampling technique (CNN) and random undersampling (RUS) technique were applied to the data set. 1008 user comments received from mobile application were classified by these techniques. In the Smote oversampling classification, ANN algorithm was found to have the best classification with 93.57% accuracy. In the undersampling classification, Random Forest algorithm was found to have the best classifications with 72.22% accuracy. In the random sampling classification, Extreme Gradient Boosting algorithm was found to have the best classification with 84.44% accuracy.

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilkokul öğrencilerinin sanal müze-sanal tur memnuniyetlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada karma model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel örneklemini, 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul’un Kağıthane ilçesindeki okullarda öğrenim gören 300, nitel örneklemini ise üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıfta okuyan 40 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen nicel veriler analiz edilmiş olup öğrencilerin cinsiyet ve okudukları sınıf değişkenlerine göre; ilişkisiz t-testi yapılıp bulgulara ulaşılmış ve yorumlanmıştır. Nitel veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen nicel bulgulara göre; öğrencilerin sanal müze-sanal tur memnuniyetlerinin, genel olarak olumlu olduğu, cinsiyet değişkenine göre farklılaşmadığı fakat öğrencilerin okuduğu sınıf değişkenine göre farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Nitel bulgulara göre; öğrencilerin sanal müzeyi çoğunlukla eğitim ortamından duymuş oldukları, sanal müzeyi önemli görmelerine rağmen gerçek müzeyi de ziyaret etmek istedikleri, sanal müze uygulamasının kolay olduğu ve hayat bilgisi ve sosyal bilgiler derslerine oldukça katkı sağladığı, sanal müzeyi tarihî eser ve teknoloji kavramları ile özdeşleştirdikleri sonucuna ulaşılıp sanal müze uygulamalarının daha yaygınlaştırılıp eğitim ortamındaki etkisinin artırılmasına yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur., The purpose of this study is to determine the virtual museum-virtual tour satisfaction of primary school students. A mixed model was used in the study. The quantitative sample of the study consists of 300 students in the schools in Kağıthane district of Istanbul in the 2020-2021 academic year, and the qualitative sample consists of 40 third and fourth-grade students. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed with the SPSS 26 statistical program, and the Independent T-test was performed according to the gender and class variables of the students, and the findings were reached and interpreted. Qualitative data were interpreted by subjecting them to content analysis. According to the quantitative findings obtained in the research; It was observed that the students' virtual museum-virtual tour satisfaction was generally positive and did not differ according to the gender variable, but differed in accordance with the class variable of the students. According to the qualitative findings; It was concluded that the students mostly heard about the virtual museum from the educational environment, they wished to visit the real museum even though they saw the virtual museum as important, the application of the virtual museum was easy and it contributed a lot to the Life Sciences and Social Studies lessons, and they identified the virtual museum with the concepts of historical artifacts and technolog, and suggestions were made to expand the applications and increase their impact in the educational environment.
