Global turizm hizmeti üretimi, kırılgan bir yapıya sahiptir ve bu yönüyle olası konjokturel gelişmelere bağlı savunmasız sektörden biri olarak ifade edilmektedir. Terörizmin, toplam turizm talebini nasıl ve hangi periodlarda etkilediğini araştıran çalışmalar, şokların kısa dönem ve uzun dönemdeki etkisi ile uzun dönemdeki etkisizliğini araştıranlar, şokların etkilerinin dini, etnik ve coğrafi yayılımını inceleyenler ve süreklilik arz eden şokların etkilerini inceleyenler olarak literatürde çok sayıda çalışma mevcuttur. Bu çalışma turizm talebinin ötesinde gelen turistlerin ortalama harcama eğilimlerinin terör saldırılarına ve reel döviz kuru değişimlerine esnekliği üzerinde durmayı amaçlamıştır. Terör saldırılarında meydana gelen artışlar ortalama harcama üzerinde negatif ve zayıf etkiye sahipken, reel döviz kurunda meydana gelen şoklar negatif ve güçlü etkiye sahiptir. Bu noktadan hareketle Türkiye’de terör eylemlerinin turizm sektörü üzerindeki etkisi eylemlerin yıllardır süregelmesi ve itibarsız olması ile turizm bölgelerinden uzakta gerçekleşmesi sebebiyle etkisizdir sonucuna ulaşılmaktadır. Reel döviz kurunun arttığı dönemler için satın alma gücünün değişimine bağlı olarak gelebilecek olan turistlerin niteliksel kaymasının turistlerin teröre olan hassasiyetini arttırabileceği ifade edilmelidir.

Determining the dynamic parameters of the structures allows us to obtain a substantial amount of information about the state of the building. Recently, the determination of these parameters were performed through Structural Health Monitoring Systems (SHMSs), which are non-destructive methods. In scope of this study, the period values prior to and following the retrofitting of a school building, which are among the dynamic parameters, were examined. The Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) method, which is based on the principle of measuring the responses of ambient effects in the structure in the experimental study, has been utilized. For this purpose, response records taken from the building under the effect of ambient vibration were used. Before and after retrofitting, the records of the building under the effect of ambient vibration were taken from the same locations. 3 sensors were used to record ambient vibrations. The data from these sensors were transferred to a computer by using a data logger. In order to measure and evaluate the responses Enhanced Frequency Domain Decomposition Method (EFDDM) in the frequency domain and Stochastic Subspace Identification Method (SSIM) in the time domain were used. Following the analysis, a comparison of how the period values had changed was conducted.

In recent years, the consequences of globalization and global developments in an area or around the world have harmed monetary transmission channels, creating an axis shift and diminishing the efficiency of monetary policy instruments. There is significant evidence about the influence of foreign monetary policy transfer on the excess supply of credit, according to studies on the subject. As a result, dynamically unbundling different monetary policy channels or comparing the outcomes of various policies is regarded as a crucial observation. The efficiency of the interest rate channel of the monetary transmission mechanism is explored in this study using annual data from the IMF and World Bank databases for the countries included in the MSCI emerging markets index for the years 1995 to 2021. In the study, panel unit root tests, panel cointegration tests with structural breaks, and panel causality tests developed by Kónya (2006) were applied to the variables determined to contain cross-sectional dependence. Within the framework of the panel VAR model established in line with the results obtained from these tests, the efficiency of the interest channel was investigated with the impulse-response functions and variance decomposition methods. While interest rate shocks have no statistically significant impact on loans, they do have a beneficial impact on inflation in the first two years and a negative impact in the subsequent years (up to the 6th year). In conclusion, the findings of this analysis suggest that, while shock rises in interest rates have a modest influence on the gross domestic product, they do promote, albeit slightly, the drop in the inflation rate.

Dünya Bankası Grubunun en genç üyesi olan Çok Taraflı Yatırım Garanti Ajansının (MIGA) temel amacı, üye ülke yatırımcılarının, diğer üye ülkelerdeki yatırımları sebebiyle uğrayabilecekleri ticari olmayan riskleri garanti altına almaktır. Bu amaç çerçevesinde MIGA Konvansiyonu’nda, ev sahibi devletteki “döviz transferi”, “kamulaştırma ve benzeri tedbirler”, “savaş ve toplumsal kargaşa durumları” ve “sözleşmenin ihlali” risklerine karşı garanti sağlanmıştır. Konvansiyon kapsamında MIGA garantisinden faydalanmaya elverişli yatırım türleri ile yatırımcıların özelliklerine de yer verilmiştir. Konvansiyon’da ayrıca, Ajans ve üye devletler arasında ortaya çıkabilecek uyuşmazlıklara ilişkin olarak, müzakerelerden sonuç alınamaması halinde, “uzlaştırma” veya “tahkim” yollarına başvurulması öngörülmüştür. Söz konusu uyuşmazlık çözüm yolları bakımından; uzlaştırmacının tayini, hakem heyetinin teşekkülü, uyuşmazlığa uygulanacak hukuk ve tesis edilen kararların icrası konularında özgün hükümlere yer verilmiştir. Türkiye’nin 1988 yılından bu yana üye olduğu MIGA, ülkemizde son yıllarda özellikle sağlık, ulaşım ve finans sektörlerinde önemli yatırımlara garanti sağlamıştır. Bahse konu hukuki çerçevenin analizi, ülkemizin MIGA garantisi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen yatırımlara ilişkin hak ve yükümlülüklerinin tespiti bakımından önem arz etmektedir.

We report on a sedimentological and biostratigraphic evaluation that was carried out on an approximately 1 km thick coal-bearing Pennsylvanian succession encountered in the boreholes Hema 82 and 85 in the Amasra coalfield of the Zonguldak – Amasra Coal Basin, Turkey.Results of the study include a refined interpretation of sedimentary environments of the coal-bearing strata and their cyclic patterns, improved constraints on macrofloral biozones as well as of boundaries and thickness of lithostratigraphic units. A paleosol-based climatic trend is also proposed, and the tectono-sedimentary history of the Amasra coalfield is compared with other coal basins in Europe. Stratigraphically constrained macroflora confirms a recently suggested discontinuous sedimentary record that contrasts with the previously widely accepted opinion that deposition was continuous throughout the Pennsylvanian. Hiatuses were identified between each adjacent formation. An early Asturian hiatus between the Karadon and Kizilli formations has its equivalent in other Variscan basins of Europe, namely in the Dobrudzha, Upper Silesian, Intra-Sudetic and central and western Bohemian basins. It is in agreement with the former paleogeographic position of the Zonguldak – Amasra Basin and its basement in the southern margin of Laurussia, in the eastern continuation of these central European basins. This conclusion is further supported by paleosol morphology-based climatic trend to increasing aridity around the Westphalian/Stephanian boundary observed in the studied boreholes, and identical with a similar trend in the above-mentioned central European basins.

Gunumuzde genel islem sartlari, milletlerarasi ticari sozlesme taraflarinca yaygin bicimde kullanilmaktadir. Keza sozlesme taraflarina ait farkli genel islem sartlarinin, ozellikle hukuk secimi konusunda celisen hukumler icermesi, milletlerarasi ozel hukuk uygulamasinda siklikla karsilasilan bir sorun haline gelmistir. Sorunun cozumu, taraflar acisindan uygulanacak hukukun tespitine iliskin belirsizligin azalmasina ve dolayisiyla taraflarin hukuki menfaatinin korunmasina yardimci olacaktir. Lahey Ilkelerinde, mukayeseli hukukta bazi devletlerde farkli yontemlerle cozumlenen, bazilarinda ise hakkinda herhangi bir duzenleme yapilmayan bu soruna yonelik uluslararasi duzeyde yeknesak bir cozum uretilmesi amaclanmistir. Bu anlamda Ilkelerin 6. maddesi, ozellikle Serhte yer verilen aciklamalarla birlikte, sorunun cozumunde uluslararasi bir standart olusturulmasina onemli olcude katki saglamaktadir. Turk maddi hukukunda genel islem sartlarinin catismasi sorununun cozumune iliskin bir yontem veya kural tayin edilmis degildir. Bununla birlikte Lahey Ilkelerinin pozitif gecerlilik kazandigi bir ihtimalde, maddi hukuk duzeyinde getirilecek cozum, Turk milletlerarasi ozel hukuku uzerinde dogrudan etkili olacaktir.

Being able to examine the research question of this study, whether there is a correlation between unemployment and growth for selected certain OECD member countries, panel data econometrics have been practiced. In the light of empirical findings, while there is a relationship from unemployment to growth, on the other hand, there is no link from growth to unemployment has been reported. Although there is somehow a harmony with other studies existing in the literature in this area, there has been still some conflicts with the rest of them. In some of the reviews, conversely ours, the link from growth to unemployment has been explicitly reported. It is thought that the distinction between this study and other conflicting ones might have arisen from the sample or the method used. It was concluded that there would be no clear dynamics of the relationship between unemployment and growth. Therefore, it was observed that the selected sample and the method used were directly effective on the results. In recent years, the main macroeconomic problem of Turkey is current deficits. In order to realize sustainable growth, the balance of payment should be kept under control. This control system is directly depends on minimization of current deficits. One of the main reasons of Turkey's current account deficits is energy imports. By applying the Johansen co–integrated analysis, this paper aims to identify the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth by using the data set between the years 1984–2012 with reference to VAR (Vector Auto Regression). Furthermore, unit root test was applied to the data which is the traditional unit root tests ADF (Augmented Dickey Fuller), PP (Phillip–Perron) and KPSS (Kwiatkowski–Phillips–Schmidt–Shin) and taking into account the structural break test was performed Zivot–Andrews. In addition to examining the long–term relationship between the two variables, taking into account the structural break in the cointegration test Engle–Granger and taking into account the structural break Hatemi–J cointegration test were applied. According to the results of the analysis, we reached that there is a relationship between energy consumption and economic growth.

İktisadi literatür incelendiğinde makroekonomik göstergelerin analizi yapılırken başvurulan temel göstergelerden bir tanesi döviz kuru olarak kabul edilmektedir. İşsizlik, para arzı, ücretler gibi değişkenlerin yanında döviz kuru da enflasyonu açıklayan değişkenler arasında yer almaktadır. Döviz kurunda meydana gelen artış ve azalışların oluşturduğu enflasyonist etkiler iktisadi anlamda geçiş etkisi teorisiyle açıklanmaktadır. Çalışmada, geçiş etkisi ekonometrik yöntemler kullanılarak analiz edilmektedir. Bu çalışma, vektör otoregresyon (vector autoregression-VAR) modelleri kullanarak döviz kurunun üretici ve tüketici fiyatları üzerindeki geçiş etkisini Türkiye için incelemektedir. 2005:01 - 2015:04 dönemi arası yapılan analiz, geçişkenliğin bir yıl için döviz kurundan fiyatlara geçiş etkisi tüketici fiyat endeksi (TÜFE) ve üretici fiyat endeksi (ÜFE) için ayrı ayrı geçiş süresi ve büyüklük olarak hesaplanmıştır. Döviz kurundaki bir birimlik şoka karşı üretici fiyatlarına tepkisi hesaplanmış ve etkinin tamamlanma süresi tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada, döviz kurundan tüketici fiyatlarına geçiş etkisinin azalma eğiliminde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Döviz kurundaki bir birimlik şoka tüketici fiyatlarının verdiği tepkinin üretici fiyatlarına verdiği tepkiye göre daha düşük olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Gelişmiş ülkeler ve döviz kurlarının dışsal ayarlamalar üzerine rolünün incelenmesi ile ilgili literatürde pek çok çalışma bulunmakta ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde de bu konuda yapılan çalışmaların sayısı hızla artmaktadır. Bu çalışmalarda döviz kurlarının dışsal ayarlamalar üzerine rolünün incelenmesinin yanında, nominal kurdaki artışın ithal edilen malların yerli para birimi türünden değerinin yükseltilmesiyle, öncelikle ithalat fiyatlarını, daha sonra da ithal ara mal kullanılarak üretilen tüm yerli çıktıların piyasadaki fiyatlarını etkileyiş mekanizması üzerine yoğunlaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, geçiş etkisinin düşük çıkmasının temel sebepleri; firmaların pazar paylarını kaybetmemek için fiyat ayarlaması yapmak yerine kar marjlarını değiştirmesi, ithal malların fiyatlarının artması sonucu bu mallar yerine daha düşük kalitedeki malların tüketilmesiyle ortaya çıkan ikame etkisi, üretim aşamasında kullanılan ithal ara mallar yerine alternatif malların kullanımı ve diğer maliyet azaltma yöntemleri gözlemlenmiştir. Çalışmanın giriş bölümünde geçiş etkisi (pass-through) kavramı incelenmiş ve döviz kuru ile fiyat endeksi arasındaki ilişki üzerinde durulmuştur. Literatür taramasında geçiş etkisi üzerine yapılmış çalışmalar incelenmiş ve son olarak da Türkiye'de döviz kurundan fiyatlara geçiş etki süresi ve büyüklüğü araştırılmıştır When examining the economic literature, in the analysis of macroeconomic indicators, exchange rate is considered as one of the most important variables.. Exchange rate is among the basic explanatory variables that explain inflation such as unemployment, wages and money supply. The increases and decreases occurred in the exchange rate are explained pass through theory. In this study, the pass through effect is analyzed using econometric methods. This study examines the pass-through effect of exchange rate on consumer and producer prices for Tukey using vector autoregression (VAR) models. The analysis made for the 2005:01 - 2015:04 period are calculated as transitivity's pass-through effect in a period of a year from the exchange rate to the prices both as CPI (Consumer Price Index) inflation and the PPI (Producer Price Index) and magnitude. The reaction to producer prices against the shock of one unit in exchange rates is calculated and the effect's completion time is determined. In the study, it is determined that the pass-through effect from exchange rates to consumer prices is inclined to decline. It is observed that the reaction of the consumer prices to the shock of one unit in the exchange rate is lower than the reaction given to the producer prices. There can be found many studies in the literature about developed countries and the role of exchange rates on exterior arrangements and the number of studies made on this suject in developed countries increases rapidly. In these studies the focus is on the examination of the role of exchange rates on exterior arrangements along with the mechanism of effecting firstly the importation prices and then the market prices of all the local manifacture which are produced using import inputs upon the increase of exchange rates' increasing the imported products' value in domestic currency. The main reasons why the pass-through effect comes out low in this study are observed as the firms' changing their profit margins instead of making price adjustments in order not to lose their market shares, the replacement effect that emerges as a result of the consumption of lower quality products instead of imported products in reaction to imported ones' price increment, the usage of alternative goods instead of imported intermediate goods during production and other cost reduction methods. In the introduction part of the study pass-through notion is examined and the relationship between exchange rate and price index is dwelled on. In the lirerature view the studies conducted about the pass-through effect are examined and lastly, the duration and the magnitude of the pass-through from exchange rate to prices in Turkey is investigated

Bu çalışmada 1980-2012 yıllarına ait büyüme, enerji tüketimi ve cari açık verileri kullanılarak kurulan VAR(vektör otoregresyon) modelinden hareketle, Johansen eşbütünleşme analizi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca değişkenlere etki-tepki analizi ve varyans ayrıştırması yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda değişkenlerin uzun dönemde birlikte hareket ettiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
