446. Silicon Metasurface Embedded Fabry-Perot Cavity Enables High Quality Transmission Structural Color

Abstract

While nanoscale color generations have been studied for years, the high performance transmission structural color, simultaneously equipped with large gamut, high resolution, and optical multiplexing abilities, still remains as a hanging issue. Here, a silicon metasurface embedded Fabry-P\'erot cavity is demonstrated to address this problem. By changing the planar geometries of metasurface units, the cavities provide transmission colors with 194% sRGB gamut coverage and 141111 DPI resolution, along with more than 300% enhanced angular tolerance. Such high density allows two-dimensional color mixing at diffraction limit scale. Beneficial from the polarization manipulation capacity of the metasurface, arbitrary color arrangements between cyan and red for two orthogonal linear polarizations are also realized. 447. Control cost and quantum speed limit time in controlled almost exact state transmission in open systems

Abstract

We investigate the influence of environment noise on the control cost and the quantum speed limit time (QSLT) in the process of almost exact state transmission (AEST) through a spin chain under pulse control. The chain is immersed in its surrounding non-Markovian, finite temperature heat baths. We find that AEST can be realized in weak system-bath coupling, low temperature, and strong non-Markovian baths under effective external control. Correspondingly, the control cost and QSLT increases with increasing bath temperature and coupling strength. It is noticeable that non-Markovianity from the baths can be helpful to reduce the control cost and shorten the QSLT. Furthermore, we find that there exists a trade-off between the control cost and transmission fidelity and higher fidelity requires higher cost. In addition, the minimum control cost has been found to obtain certain transmission fidelity., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

Understanding heat transfer between a quantum system and its environment is of undisputed importance if reliable quantum devices are to be constructed. Here, we investigate the heat transfer between system and bath in non-Markovian open systems in the process of adiabatic speedup. Using the quantum state diffusion equation method, the heat current, energy current, and power are calculated during free evolution and under external control of the system. While the heat current increases with increasing system-bath coupling strength and bath temperature, it can be restricted by the non-Markovian nature of the bath. Without pulse control, the heat current is nearly equal to the energy current. On the other hand, with pulse control, the energy current turns out to be nearly equal to the power. In this scenario, we show that non-Markovianity is a useful tool to drive the system through an approximate adiabatic dynamics, with pulse control acting in the conversion between heat current and power throughout the evolution., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

For the task of conversation emotion recognition, recent works focus on speaker relationship modeling but ignore the role of utterance's emotional tendency.In this paper, we propose a new expression paradigm of sentence-level emotion orientation vector to model the potential correlation of emotions between sentence vectors. Based on it, we design an emotion recognition model, which extracts the sentence-level emotion orientation vectors from the language model and jointly learns from the dialogue sentiment analysis model and extracted sentence-level emotion orientation vectors to identify the speaker's emotional orientation during the conversation. 450. The Average Quantum Coherence of Pure State Decomposition

Abstract

We study the average quantum coherence over the pure state decompositions of a mixed quantum state. An upper bound of the average quantum coherence is provided and sufficient conditions for the saturation of the upper bound are shown. These sufficient conditions always hold for two and three dimensional systems. This provides a tool to estimate the average coherence experimentally by measuring only the diagonal elements, which remarkably requires less measurements compared with state tomography. We then describe the pure state decompositions of qubit state in Bloch sphere geometrically. For any given qubit state, the optimal pure state decomposition achieving the maximal average quantum coherence as well as three other pure state decompositions are shown in the Bloch sphere. The order relations among their average quantum coherence are invariant for any coherence measure. The results presented in this paper are universal and suitable for all coherence measures.
